Has anyone else’s store have anyone try to take off with a whole spinner thing of jewelry because they needed something for Mother’s Day and proceed to say “I own this store” whilst handing their id to every employee and then proceed to drink a whole bottle of alcohol before the police showed up. That was wild

2023.06.03 20:56 Sparkselot applying at a small shop

Hey, everyone, bit of a long story, but i need advice.
So I worked with a big chain as an apprentice bench jeweler, and I loved it. for personal reasons, I moved out of state and was unable to find a shop to transfer to. To make ends meet, I worked on a farm for 3 years. I've moved again, and there's a small jewelry store in town, and I hate my current job at a granite shop.
I've contacted the jewelry shop, and they want me to talk to the owner on Wednesday. I'm very nervous, because its the only job that I was proud of and did very well in. Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

2023.06.03 20:48 Informal-Produce7173 [PC][early to mid-2000s ish] “girly” mall game where you collect colorful charms or beads

Platform(s): Windows PC, possibly other platforms as well. likely available as a downloadable game with a demo version, available on WildTangent games or similar websites. it being a PC game is 100% certain. Genre: my best guess would be tycoon or puzzle, generally some kind of casual game Estimated year of release: early to mid-2000s, definitely pre-2010 Graphics/art style: bright, colorful, generally the 2000s “girly” aesthetic. i remember it being a more cartoon-y art style, but it could have been anime-inspired as i wasn’t aware of anime at that time Notable characters: i don’t recall any specific characters, but that it was girl-centric. think of barbie, myscene, polly pocket, or even divastars where there’s a group of friends who are all girls. i don’t believe it was any of these brands though, if it was branded at all Notable gameplay mechanics: the main thing i remember about this game is collecting colorful charms or beads, and possibly turning them into charm bracelets or other jewelry. i do not remember what the objective or reasoning was, though. i think it took place in a mall, but could have been individual stores, though i’m pretty sure it was some form of retail setting. i don’t think you had anything to do with building the mall/store itself, but you may have been able to decorate or rearrange things within the store - i was not able to play the game for long, so it’s possible other mechanics come in later! Other details: i played this game as a child on my grandma’s pc, where i typically downloaded game demos from sites similar to WildTangent games - i unfortunately do not remember the site names/am having a hard time finding them. it’s possible this was a game my aunt (a tween or young teen at the time) had a physical copy of, but because i was only able to play it once and for a short amount of time, i find it most likely that it was a demo.
from looking for this game before posting, i have the following to note: - i do not think it was the Charm Girls series, as i could only find information about them being on the nintendo DS and the Wii. if there is an obscure PC game in the series though, it’s possible - it was not Nakamas, which i read about on another TOMJ post, as i know they were human girls - near the end of posting this i remembered the Lego Friends series, which sounds incredibly familiar. i can’t find much information on their games, but based on gameplay footage it was not the 1999 PC game. i haven’t found anything about other PC games in the series, but this is still currently my most likely lead!
thank you to anyone who can provide any help, or who simply also remembers this! i remember being completely fascinated by the graphics and aesthetic of this game, and wished i could have played it more at the time!

That's where the Folding Jewelry Organizer comes in. This innovative product is designed to help you keep your jewelry organized and easily accessible, no matter how many pieces you have. In this article, we'll explore the benefits of a Folding Jewelry Organizer and why it's a must-have for any fashion lover.

What is a Folding Jewelry Organizer?

A Folding Jewelry Organizer is a compact and portable storage solution for your jewelry. It typically consists of several compartments and pockets, which are designed to hold different types of jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. The organizer is designed to fold up neatly, making it easy to store in a drawer or suitcase when you're on the go.

The Benefits of a Folding Jewelry Organizer

1. Keeps Your Jewelry Organized

One of the biggest benefits of a Folding Jewelry Organizer is that it helps you keep your jewelry organized. With separate compartments for each type of jewelry, you can easily find what you're looking for without having to dig through a cluttered drawer. This not only saves you time, but it also helps you keep your jewelry in good condition by preventing tangles and scratches.

2. Saves Space

If you're short on space, a Folding Jewelry Organizer is a great solution. It's compact and can be easily stored in a drawer or on a shelf, taking up minimal space. Plus, because it's designed to fold up neatly, it's easy to pack in a suitcase when you're traveling.

3. Protects Your Jewelry

A Folding Jewelry Organizer is designed to protect your jewelry from damage. The separate compartments prevent your jewelry from getting tangled or scratched, and the soft lining helps prevent damage from moisture and dust. This means that your jewelry will stay in good condition for longer, saving you money in the long run.

4. Makes Getting Ready Easier

With a Folding Jewelry Organizer, getting ready in the morning is a breeze. You can easily see all of your jewelry at a glance, making it easy to choose the perfect pieces to complete your outfit. Plus, because everything is organized, you won't waste time searching for a missing earring or necklace.

2023.06.03 19:16 cesario_ Theorycrafting Saitama: killing (almost) any monster in a single punch

Hello 3d6! I’ve been working on this character theorycraft for a while now, and I’ve quite nearly accomplished my goal — only to fall barely short at the final 1%. I’m sharing it now in a 99-percent-complete state, for everyone to enjoy reading my mad scientist ravings, or to offer their own suggestions on how to wring out just a little bit more damage to finally have a character that can kill any creature in a single punch.
tl;dr: a theorycrafted level 20 Saitama character can deal 634 damage on average in a single punch, instantly killing 99% of all published monsters (27 monsters can survive).

The self-imposed rules

Now, let’s get into it!

Race

Protector Aasimar. Saitama claims to be an ordinary man, but let’s be honest, to have such ludicrous power, he must be more than human. Aasimar are more or less human, but with a touch of the divine, which fits the bill perfectly. Mechanically, we’re choosing this for the Radiant Soul option: as an action once per long rest, they transform for 1 minute and once per turn can deal their level in radiant damage to one target of an attack. At level 20, this will add +20 radiant damage to the punch, by far the highest single-attack damage boost of any racial ability.

Stats

Saitama has incredible strength, speed, reflexes, and durability, which he attributes to an intense training regimen. How could he have gotten such formidable training? Well, perhaps he read the instructions in a magic book. The Manuals of Gainful Exercise, Quickness of Action, and Bodily Health are very rare magic items that describe “fitness exercises,” “coordination and balance exercises,” and “health and diet tips” with words that are charged with magic. Studying these manuals and practicing their guidelines for 48 hours increases a creature’s STR, DEX, and CON stats by 2, as well as increasing their maximum for that score — up to a cap of 30. Clearly, to have such godlike strength, dexterity, and constitution, Saitama’s intense training must have included reading as many Manuals as necessary to raise his STR, DEX, and CON stats each to a godlike 30. This results in Saitama having a +10 to STR attack and damage rolls, a +10 boost to DEX checks like stealth and initiative, and a ridiculous amount of hit points. In order to multiclass, Saitama will also need at least a 13 in INT, WIS, and CHA — which should be achievable.

Classes

Saitama starts by taking three levels in Armorer Artificer, which gives him a suit of Arcane Armor that expands to cover his entire body and can be used as a spellcasting focus for artificer spells. The text describes “metallurgical pursuits,” but nothing RAW forbids one from choosing a suit of yellow leather armor for Arcane Armor. At AC 11 + DEX, this gives Saitama an AC of 21 — which doesn’t really matter, since he can kill nearly anything in a single punch before it ever has a chance of attacking him. We choose the Guardian Armor Model for Saitama’s Arcane Armor, causing the red rubber gloves on his leather armor to be counted as Thunder Gauntlets: they count as simple melee weapons when not holding anything in them, and deal 1d8 thunder damage on a hit. Saitama also has the option to use his INT modifier instead of STR or DEX when attacking with the gauntlets, but let’s be honest, he’s going to stick with his godlike +10 STR modifier here. Saitama will infuse his gloves with the Enhanced Weapon artificer infusion, giving them a +1 to attack and damage rolls, and turning them into a magic item. From Armorer, Saitama also learns the spells Booming Blade and Absorb Elements. To complete Saitama’s armor, he also gains a white Cloak of Billowing (a common magic item that does not require attunement) and a pair of red rubber Boots of Elvenkind (an uncommon magic item that also does not require attunement, and gives advantage on Stealth checks to move silently).
Next, Saitama takes nine levels in warlock. He chooses the Hexblade patron and Pact of the Blade, and gains the Hexblade’s Curse, the Eldritch Smite invocation, and the Banishing Smite spell from the Hexblade expanded spell list. He will also transform his gloves into his pact weapon, and take the Improved Pact Weapon invocation, allowing him to use his gloves as a spellcasting focus for warlock spells. Unfortunately, because his gloves are already a magic weapon with a +1 to attack and damage rolls from the Enhanced Weapon artificer infusion, they do not gain an additional +1 to attack and damage rolls from Improved Pact Weapon. Hexblade’s Curse allows Saitama to curse a creature within 30 feet for 1 minute as a bonus action, and add his proficiency bonus to damage rolls against that target. Eldritch Smite deals 1d8 force damage plus another 1d8 for each level of warlock spell slot expended when hitting a creature with one’s pact weapon. At a maximum 5th level spell slot, this adds 6d8 force damage to his punch. Banishing Smite activates as a bonus action and consumes concentration for 1 minute to add an extra 5d10 force damage on the next hit with a weapon attack. Additionally, if the target then has 50 HP or less, it is banished to its home plane (or until the spell ends). At nine levels in Warlock, Saitama gets two 5th-level spell slots per short rest. This is just enough for one usage of Eldritch Smite and one casting of Banishing Smite. However, he will then have to rest before going out to fight villains again — perhaps a good reason for why he spends so much time relaxing at home playing video games and reading manga. Saitama also gets two ASIs at his fourth and eighth levels of warlock. At these levels, he will take the Martial Adept and Fey Touched feats. The Martial Adept feat gives him a d6 superiority die and two maneuvers, one of which will be Menacing Attack (the other does not matter). Menacing Attack adds the d6 to the damage of the attack and forces the target to make a WIS save or be frightened (and though our goal is to kill the target outright, if it somehow survives, Saitama’s DC will be a difficult-to-surmount 24: 8 + 6 [proficiency bonus] + 10 [STR mod]). From the Fey Touched feat, Saitama will learn the first-level divination spell Gift of Alacrity, which lasts 8 hours without concentration and adds 1d8 to his initiative rolls.
To kill creatures in a single punch, Saitama will need to train to Assassinate: taking four levels in Assassin Rogue. Assassinate gives Saitama advantage on attacks against creatures that have not yet taken a turn in combat, and automatic critical hits on creatures who are surprised. In order to surprise creatures, Saitama will need to succeed on a Stealth check contested by the target’s Perception: “Any character or monster that doesn't notice a threat is surprised at the start of the encounter.” Saitama rarely sneaks up on his targets, but usually allows them to monologue for a long time before annihilating them with a single punch. It is his unremarkable appearance that allows him to take his enemies by surprise — and perhaps that appearance is its own form of stealth. Just to make getting surprise mechanically possible, Saitama will take an Expertise in Stealth, to double his proficiency for a +12 to Stealth in addition to his +10 DEX modifier. Due to his red rubber Boots of Elvenkind, he will also get advantage on Stealth checks made to move silently. With a +22 to Stealth, on an average d20 roll of 13.825 (with advantage), a Stealth of 35.825 should allow him to defeat the passive perception of nearly every monster — even the Greatwyrms, which have a passive perception of only 32. Tiamat has a passive perception of 36, and as the monster with the highest passive perception, she is the only monster capable of successfully noticing Saitama’s threat (unless he gets a little lucky with the Stealth roll). If we really want to ensure that Saitama can go undetected, we could give him the Epic Boon of Undetectability for an additional +10 to Stealth checks and immunity to detection or targeting by divination magic. He will also need to beat his target on an initiative roll to be able to get an automatic critical hit — which is why he will take the Alert feat on his fourth level of rogue, giving him a +5 to initiative rolls in addition to the +10 from his DEX modifier. As the only bonus monsters get to initiative is from their DEX modifier (and the highest DEX modifier that any monster has is +9, for the Elder Tempest or Will-o’-Wisp), with a total +6 edge from the +5 from Alert and his +10 DEX modifier, as well as +1d8 from Gift of Alacrity, Saitama will beat even the fastest monsters’ initiative rolls 89% of the time (and a later item will increase this to 97%).
When Saitama uses a Serious Punch, it’s like sending the target on a Path to their Grave. Thus, Saitama will take two levels in Grave Cleric. As an action, Path to the Grave allows Saitama to choose “another creature’s life force for termination.” The next time he hits the chosen creature within 30 feet with an attack, the creature has vulnerability to all of the attack’s damage, causing the damage to be doubled (as long as the creature is not immune or resistant to any of the damage types).
Lastly, Saitama will take two levels in paladin, gaining Divine Smite and the Dueling fighting style. When hitting with a melee weapon attack, he can expend a spell slot to Divine Smite, dealing additional radiant damage to the target. At three levels of artificer, two levels of cleric, and two levels of paladin, Saitama is a fifth-level multiclassed caster (his three levels from artificer are halved and rounded up to two, cleric gives two levels, and two levels of paladin is halved to one, for a total of five). This gives him two 3rd-level spell slots per long rest — spending a 3rd level slot on a Divine Smite gives an extra 4d8 radiant damage (1d8 off of the maximum of 5d8 from spending a 4th-level spell). It also deals an extra 1d8 to undead or fiend targets. The Dueling fighting style gives +2 to damage rolls when wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons. The Thunder Gauntlets count as simple melee weapons when not holding anything in them, so Saitama will hold something in his right hand, leaving him wielding only one Thunder Gauntlet on his left hand when he delivers a Serious Punch. (In One-Punch Man canon, Saitama usually punches with his right hand. For a mechanical reason, our theorycrafted DND Saitama has to punch with his left. Maybe this is why DND Saitama is slightly weaker than canon Saitama, and isn’t able to kill every monster in a single hit.)
With three levels of artificer, nine levels of warlock, four levels of rogue, two levels of cleric, and two levels of paladin, Saitama is a level 20 character.

Feats

As mentioned above, Saitama will take Martial Adept and Fey Touched at his fourth and eighth warlock level, and Alert at his fourth level of rogue.

Additional items

When Saitama strikes someone, it occasionally appears as if he has grown to incredible size (https://tenor.com/view/one-punch-man-gif-23643267). To simulate this, DND Saitama will consume a Potion of Giant Size (legendary) and a Potion of Growth (rare), increasing to Huge for 24 hours and then again to Gargantuan for 1d4 hours. From the Potion of Giant Size, his weapons roll three times as many dice (thus increasing his Thunder Gauntlets to deal 3d8 thunder damage on hit). From the Potion of Growth, Saitama gets advantage on STR checks and saves, and deals 1d4 additional damage on weapon attacks.
Saitama can attune to three magic items. We will choose the Hand of Vecna (legendary), Sword of Kas (legendary), and a Ring of Spell Storing (rare).
To attune to the Hand of Vecna, Saitama had to lop off his left hand at the wrist and replace it with the Hand of Vecna. This withered hand is hidden within his red rubber glove, and (among other properties) allows him to deal an extra 2d8 cold damage when he makes a melee weapon attack with a weapon held in the hand. The Hand of Vecna also includes one minor and one major beneficial property, along with one minor detrimental property. For the major beneficial property, we will choose the property: “When you hit with a weapon attack while attuned to the artifact, the target takes an extra 1d6 damage of the weapon's type.” For the minor beneficial property, we will choose immunity to charm and fear effects. The minor detrimental property we will choose is: “Your appearance changes as the DM decides” — from his intense training regimen (which included chopping off his left hand and replacing it with the Hand of Vecna), Saitama unfortunately lost all of his hair — still a sore spot for him.
The Sword of Kas grants several abilities, but Saitama only attacks with punches, so it will remain in its scabbard, somewhere on his person. While it is on his person, it adds an additional d10 to Saitama’s initiative (raising his probability of having a higher initiative than even a monster with +9 DEX to 97%). The Sword of Kas also includes one minor and one major beneficial property, as well as one minor and one major detrimental property. We will choose the same major beneficial property as the Hand of Vecna, for an extra 1d6 damage when hitting with a weapon attack (typically effects of the same type do not stack. However, since these are generic properties of two artifacts with different names, the properties should stack under RAW). The minor beneficial property can be any (some thematic options include immunity to disease or +1 AC), and the minor detrimental property can be: “The first time you touch a gem or piece of jewelry while attuned to this artifact, the value of the gem or jewelry is reduced by half.” Perhaps this explains why Saitama is poor. The major detrimental property can be taking 8d10 psychic damage when attuning to the Sword of Kas: Saitama mentions that his training was so intense that he thought he might die — perhaps this damage was why it felt so intense. (Note: with eighteen levels in classes with d8 hit dice and two levels of paladin for d10 hit dice, Saitama’s average hit points is 92, not counting the incredible 200 additional HP from his +10 CON modifier. Even at a maximum roll of 80 psychic damage from attuning to Sword of Kas, he wouldn’t actually die.) Interestingly, the Sword of Kas also causes its bearer to gradually become obsessed with destroying anyone corrupted by the Hand of Vecna — this might cause Saitama to become fairly conflicted.
Lastly, the Ring of Spell-Storing. Up to five levels of spells can be stored within, and can be cast while touching the ring. Saitama can spend one of his fifth-level Pact Magic slots to cast Absorb Elements (learned from his levels in artificer) into the ring, before resting to regain his Pact Magic slot. Absorb Elements can be cast as a reaction to elemental damage, grants resistance to the triggering damage, and adds an extra 1d6 of that damage type per spell level when the next time the caster hits with a melee attack on their next turn. Cast at a fifth level, this adds 5d6 elemental damage to Saitama’s punch. To voluntarily trigger the Absorb Elements, we will have Saitama use his free object interaction to stick a finger into a vial of acid held in his right hand (which also makes the Thunder Gauntlet in his right hand no longer count as a melee weapon since it's holding something, thus enabling him to use the Dueling fighting style with his left). The acid will burn Saitama, allowing him to cast Absorb Elements in reaction, getting resistance to the acid damage and charging up 5d6 acid damage to be released on his next melee attack this turn.

Preparation to punch

In order to maximize damage in a single attack, Saitama needs to do some preparation. At some point, he will spend one of his fifth-level Pact Magic slots to cast Absorb Elements into the Ring of Spell Storing, before resting to regain his Pact Magic slot.
On the day of, he must also cast Gift of Alacrity to maximize his initiative rolls (this lasts 8 hours), and spend an action drinking the Potion of Giant Size (which lasts 24 hours). One hour before the fight, he must drink the Potion of Growth (which lasts a minimum of 1 hour). He must also open the vial of acid and hold it ready in his right hand.
A minute before punching his target, he must spend an action to activate his Radiant Soul Aasimar transformation, and spend an action and a bonus action cursing his target with the Hexblade’s Curse and Path to the Grave.
Finally, on the turn he punches, he spends his free object interaction to touch the acid in the vial until it causes damage, then casts Absorb Elements as a reaction from his Ring of Spell Storing. He spends his bonus action casting Banishing Smite, and then his action casting the cantrip Booming Blade. (He has cast three spells in one turn, but the only limitation on casting multiple spells per turn is that if he casts a spell as a bonus action, he may only cast a cantrip — like Booming Blade — with his action.)

The punch

Booming Blade requires a material component: a melee weapon worth at least 1 sp. Normally, using his arcane armor as a spellcasting focus would allow him to ignore material components, but this material component cannot be ignored because it has a cost. The Thunder Gauntlets from a suit of arcane armor have no assigned cost, but the basic leather armor costs 10 gp, so it’s a safe assumption that a magically-enhanced +1 Thunder Gauntlet would cost more than 1 sp. Upon casting the spell, Saitama makes a melee attack against a creature within 5 feet. At level 20, the cantrip adds an extra 3d8 thunder damage to the initial attack, and an additional 4d8 if the target moves on its next turn — but the latter damage will not count for this purpose because our goal is to annihilate the target with the first hit.
Assuming that his stealth and initiative checks have allowed Saitama to surprise his target and go first in the initiative order, he has advantage on his attack from Assassinate and gets +17 to the roll: +6 from his proficiency, +10 from his STR modifier, and +1 from the Enhanced Weapon infusion. The monsters with the highest AC are Tiamat and the Tarrasque, with an AC of 25 — with advantage and a +17 to hit, Saitama has an 88% chance of hitting, and any hit is an automatic critical hit from Assassinate. If a guaranteed hit is desired, we could give Saitama an Epic Boon of Combat Prowess, choosing to hit on a melee weapon attack once per short rest. At that point, the attack roll doesn’t even matter.

Damage

The 1d8 thunder damage from his Thunder Gauntlets is tripled to 3d8 by the Potion of Giant Size. The Gauntlets deal an extra 1d4 thunder damage from the Potion of Growth, an extra 2d6 thunder damage from the major beneficial properties of the Hand of Vecna and the Sword of Kas, and an extra 1d6 thunder damage from the Menacing Attack maneuver. The attack deals an extra 2d8 cold damage because it was made with a weapon wielded by the Hand of Vecna. We add an additional 6d8 force damage from Eldritch Smite, 5d10 force damage from Banishing Smite, 4d8 radiant damage from Divine Smite, 5d6 acid damage from Absorb Elements, and 3d8 thunder damage from Booming Blade.
Let’s total this up: 6d8+1d4+3d6 thunder + 2d8 cold + 6d8+5d10 force + 4d8 radiant + 5d6 acid damage
All these dice are doubled on the critical hit from Assassinate: 12d8+2d4+6d6 thunder + 4d8 cold + 12d8+10d10 force + 8d8 radiant + 10d6 acid damage
Now, counting the flat damage: 10 thunder damage from Saitama’s STR modifier on the Thunder Gauntlets, +1 thunder damage from the Enhanced Weapon infusion, +6 thunder damage from Hexblade’s Curse, and +2 thunder damage from the Dueling fighting style, for a total of +19 thunder damage. We also add 20 radiant damage from the Radiant Soul transformation.
Another preliminary total: 12d8+2d4+6d6+19 thunder + 4d8 cold + 12d8+10d10 force + 8d8+20 radiant + 10d6 acid damage
All the damage is doubled by the vulnerability inflicted by Path to the Grave: 24d8+4d4+12d6+38 thunder + 8d8 cold + 24d8+20d10 force + 16d8+40 radiant + 20d6 acid damage
This averages to 198 thunder + 36 cold + 218 force + 112 radiant + 70 acid damage, for a total of 634 damage on average in a single punch.
Anything that survives this formidable blow must then have more than 50 hit points remaining, or else it is banished to its home plane without a save by Banishing Smite (thus, Saitama's punch can effectively defeat creatures with up to 684 HP).
After two short rests, Saitama could theoretically do a Serious Punch again on the same day — minus the +40 radiant damage from Radiant Soul (doubled by Path to the Grave), the only ability used that requires a long rest to recharge. After a second Serious Punch, though, he’ll run out of third-level spell slots for the Divine Smite.

The targets (who survives?)

With the most hit points out of any monster in DND 5e, the Tarrasque has 676 HP, damage immunities to fire, poison, and bludgeoning/piercing/slashing damage from nonmagical attacks, three legendary resistances per day, advantage on saves against spells, can nullify or reflect ranged attack spells, and can terrify creatures within 120 feet with its Frightful Presence. None of this protects it from a single punch from our Caped Baldy. On 62% of possible damage rolls, that Tarrasque is getting sent back to its plane of origin, gibbering with fear: with a WIS modifier of +0, it has no chance of succeeding the DC 24 WIS save against Saitama’s Menacing Attack (of course, Tarrasques are immune to the frightened condition, but let’s ignore that because it’s funny).
However, this doesn’t quite count as killing the tarrasque in a single punch, since it’s banished but still alive (and returns after one minute if it’s not originally from another plane). Additionally, a several other monsters could definitely survive the punch — chief among them, Tiamat: Outside of being immune to acid and cold damage (reducing the damage by 106 points and dropping the remaining 528 total damage from the punch well below her total HP of 615), Tiamat is also immune to spells of level 6 or lower: thus completely nullifying the effects of both Booming Blade and Banishing Smite. However, as a fiend, Divine Smite does deal an extra d8 radiant damage against her. Still, eliminating Booming Blade and Banishing Smite drops the single punch damage to 382 on average, leaving Tiamat with 233 HP: more than a third of her health. Instead casting Banishing Smite and Booming Blade, Saitama could use his action to punch twice using the Thirsting Blade eldritch invocation, spending both his 5th-level Pact Magic spell slots on Eldritch Smites and both 3rd-level slots on Divine Smites. If Saitama managed to sneak up on Tiamat to surprise her and get the automatic critical hits from Assassinate, he would deal 3d8+1d4+3d6 thunder + 6d8 force + 5d8 radiant damage on each attack, doubled from the critical hit to 6d8+2d4+6d6 thunder + 12d8 force + 10d8 radiant damage, and a total of +19 thunder on both attacks and +20 radiant on the first. The first attack damage would be doubled from Path to the Grave, but the second would not. The first attack would deal 12d8+4d4+12d6+38 thunder + 24d8 force + 20d8+40 radiant damage, and the second 6d8+2d4+6d6+19 thunder + 12d8 force + 10d8 radiant; for a total damage of 553 on average, still 62 points short of Tiamat’s 615 total HP.
Other creatures that would survive:
Thus, our final list of 27 survivors of Saitama’s punch:
Saitama can kill all remaining 2,800+ monsters ever printed in a single punch.

Thank you for reading!

If you've gotten this far, thanks for sticking with me! If you have any ideas on how to squeeze out the last bits of damage to allow Saitama to one-hit kill any of the remaining 27 monsters, please comment to let me know!

Only paid $3.50 for all of it! Each ring was a dollar and the gold earrings were 50¢!!!
So, I bought two stacker rings which have citrine and aquamarine gemstones, and one that's marcasite. The earrings were in a bag labeled fifty cents and I had a feeling the might be real, but for only fifty cents, who cares?! They're not stamped so when I got home I did an acid test on them and sure enough, they are indeed real! Best finds so far this year. Next week I'm going to NY (I live in central PA & my bf lives right along the border in NY) and we're both checking out this HUGE community yard sale in Pine City. They always have amazing items there cheap! It's also more of an upscale neighborhood, so you know they're selling good things. I made out like a bandit last year, so I'm hoping to do the same this year. Mainly looking for clothing, jewelry, (like I found today) and crystals...hopefully some larger statement pieces. We shall see! Any fantabulous finds, I'll definitely share here. A ginoromous resounding "GOOD LUCK!!!" to everyone going thrifting this summer!! 🥰

2023.06.03 17:46 xSuperChiink 10 year breakup vent

I'm 28M, she is 28F.
I want to vent as objectively as possible about our relationship to help me process through it. Sorry if this comes off as a big ramble.
Hurt does not describe the absolute crushing pain and disrespect I feel from the one person who I thought loved me.
We were together for 10 years from 18 to 28. Highschool sweethearts. So much and so little has happened in those years. We had a far from normal relationship. We were each others first real relationship and first everything basically.
We've gone through highschool together, college, navigating through our 20's moving up in our careers, bought a house, and were planning on getting married next year.
We've had a lot of problems since the beginning.
She was always insecure. Always seeking validation, during our relationship and even before we were together in highschool.
In the first 1-3 years, she was constantly building relationships with co-workers and developing crushes. I've found out one way or another whether it was direct messages she was having with them and hiding or her talking with her friends about them. She's stayed with the same company but has moved to different stores and there was always someone she would start crushing on no matter where she was. There has been about 4-5 different guys this has happened with. I know, dumb of me to stay and give her that many chances but love makes you do stupid things I guess. From what I know she did not do anything physical with any of them and was more so flirting conversations. This is a reoccurring theme of our relationship from year 1 to today.
Sex has also been an issue for us since those early years as we were not having sex or anything as often as I would have like and she never wanted too. We would have sex about once every 1-1.5 months. It was less of me trying to fuck and more so wanting to make love and just overall loving her in that way. It was always pretty basic. Nothing extra spicy. This coupled with her talking to guys hurt because all I wanted was more of her and she was giving time and energy to someone else.
During all these times, she was always projecting onto me, accusing me of talking to someone since that's what she was doing so I must be too apparently. She was wrong at first until I did seek out someone.
Eventually being hurt enough by this, instead of leaving I found a stranger online I was talking too. This went from being just someone to talk and vent about this stuff with to sending nudes etc. I know I'm not perfect here either.
She found out and this put a massive dent in our relationship with the already existing insecurities. I believe all these insecure issues shes always had with me stemmed from her and what she was doing and for some reason nothing she did was ever the issue and she made it known that I was the bad guy and I ruined us. She would hold this against me for years and could never fully trust me. Constant accusations. Always thinking I'm up to something no matter what I was doing.
Years 4-6.
She has a very normal/average typical family life. Nothing crazy, no drama.
My life has been the complete opposite. Very dramatic. My family had a falling out. I got kicked out of my home and her family took me in to live with them. I am so thankful and love her parents/family for taking me in as their own when my parents didn't want. They've done so much for me/us.
We both wanted me to live with them but this "forced" us together. This meant all those insecurities and issues we had basically never got fully address and we were never able to work through them.
We lived with her parents for 1 year, and decided to skip the apartment life and jump into buying a home. This took another year until we were moved into our home together.
Years 6-10.
We lived in this home for 4 years. Navigating living on our own together. Responsibilities of homeownership. This was supposed to be a fresh start for us. All these issues we had were supposed to be left behind us. I suppose that's hard when we never addressed them in the first place.
Im not perfect. I had my issues too. She holds against me cheating, being abusive, and having drinking problems.
I've mentioned my cheating.
The abusive part I am torn on. I am not defending myself because what I did was wrong. I was half asleep and she came angrily waking me up again accusing me of something. I woke up confused and became black out angry with how built up these accusations were and i realzied thats what this was about. I got so mad I pushed her and had my hands pushing on her on the floor. We've talked about this and she realized I was wrong for that but understood my reaction after realizing how the situation played out. I've never put my hands on her again since.
Drinking. I like to come home and have 1 beer. When I'm out with my friends, I do drink too much. I've passed out before at friends houses. I've never done anything wrong while drunk imo other than being too drunk with my friends and passing out or not texting her the whole time. Enjoying my time with them she would be upset when I'm not constantly talking/texting her.
I'm having so much trouble believing whether what I am/was doing was so wrong or if she's putting the blame of our failing relationship on me and ignoring everything she has done that has gotten us here while she continues to entertain other men.
She also did not have a lot of friends. She left her highscool friends when we got together. She has one girl friend from year 1 that was a coworker. That friend was also cheating on her bf at the time. So they were playing this game together.
She felt like she lost herself and who she was because we lived through my life, my friends, my family.
2 years into living together I thought things were going well. She started therapy and is still going for a year now today. I couldn't handle spiraling whether she was still doing things with guys at work or not and speculating. I decided to trust her and I genuinely did. She stopped seeing her original girl friend for a while once we moved in but reconnected and started hanging out with more Coworkers too. Whatever, I trusted her and thought we were past all those things.
Even through all of this, I proposed to her 2 years ago. We were supposed to get married next year.
6 months ago our house caught on fire.
We're in the middle of rebuilding. I work in the building industry so I've been managing all of it. We lost everything, all of our stuff, and our cat weve had forever. We moved back into her parents house together.
You can imagine how stressful this has been.
Since being at her parents, I now realize she was projecting her own actions again. She kept saying how she was worried about me "falling back into old ways" when in reality she has been developing a crush and building a relationship with intent to fuck this new coworker. She told me February is when she started talking about this extensively in therapy so this has been going on for months now.
She broke up with me 1 month ago.
We went on a trip to NY. Me not knowing this would be our last everything and she knew she was leaving.
The second we got home she told me to pack my stuff and leave because she "needed space".
In less than 10 minutes my life fell apart.
We officially broke up a few days after.
The next week we were supposed to take engagement photos on her birthday. Instead she went on a date with her new coworker interest.
She officially told me about her crush for him last night that was developing. This breakup was supposed to be her "learning about herself" "being on her own, being by herself". Yet she's been brewing and building this relationship with this guy. This guy is 10 years older. Her original girlfriend also has a man that is older and I firmly believe her flying monkeys contributed to this.
He's broken, suicidal, has a kid, and a whole lot more baggage. All of the guys shes talked to including me are broke. She bonded over his trauma while I was trying to rebuild our life. She was so stressed about our living situation being back at her parents, one day she came home and said she'd rather be at work than home with me and i realize now shed rather be at work with him than trying to be there for me when I'm also struggling.
The wedding is canceled. We're fully broken up. I thought we were past all of this and never thought we'd go through this same scenario at this point in our lives. I thought we were better. After 10 years and everything, she ended this the same way it started.
She kicked me out with no where to go in no time. While living at her parents. While I work on rebuilding our home and life. While working on our wedding. A week before our engagement photos. All to go through the same exact cheattling scenario that got us here and idk why I'm surprised.
She doesn't believe she was cheating but she was building this relationship with intention.
There's no right way to breakup but this was absolutely wrong and seeing everything as a whole, is so completely fucked, I'm so disrespected, beyond hurt. After 10 years idk who she is anymore. I should have left a while ago but our life events put us together.
I never thought someone who loved you and wanted to get married could do something so evil.
Idk how to end this but thank you for reading if you did. I hope it makes sense and not just a ramble. Owning the house together makes moving on harder and I'm afraid once we get closer to finishing, she might realize by then how fucked this situation is. Maybe the grass isn't greener. And she knows the house is tying us together and might come back. But I can't after how this unfolded.
I hope she finds what she's looking for in him. Or she is actually able to work in herself. Part of me doesn't think she's capable of actually owning up to anything and actually being self aware enough to evaluate our 10 years.
Idk. I'm working through it. Thank you.

2023.06.03 17:43 hgaterms Nicest personal office you've ever seen?

It's good to be king.
Some of the nicest offices I have ever seen was 1,000 yeas ago in ALS. Each of the 4 instructors had their own personalized office decked out to the 9's. I'm talking oriental rugs, fancy curtains with tie backs, painted walls with wonderful accent walls, perfectly placed framed art, cozy lamps. I was jelly.
My previous commander also furnished his office with everything he could, including 4 different fish bowl candy jars on his desk.
The CAG civilian also had an interior room with no window, so she installed some ceiling lights that made the place look like a jewelry store. She even had a fake fireplace.
Meanwhile I didn't even get my own desk until I was 12 years into my career. We just shared the same 3 computers in the flight room with a flickering florescent tube light.

2023.06.03 16:46 Limp-Calligrapher-57 Bridesmaid in two weddings

I (36f) dreamed I was a bridesmaid in two weddings that were happening on the same day. I went to the bridal shop the day before the weddings to pick up my dresses. One wedding was for my mom (she's been happily single and not dating for like 10 years) and the dress was a black skirt bottom but the top was a very revealing bejeweled/rhinestone string bikini. Very NOT my mom lol, and I was also supposed to pick out matching jewelry and buy enough sets for my sisters to have some also. The lady helping me could not find the second dress which was supposed to be for my college best friend's wedding. I was maid of honor for her real wedding 15 years ago lol, but since covid our friendship has really tapered off and I haven't talked to her in a while. So in the dream I started panicking and searching through the storage area and eventually the whole store trying to find this missing bridesmaid dress. That one was supposed to be a very traditional looking dress but in black. So I have one black bridesmaid dress I'm very iffy about and I'm frantically searching for another more traditional but also black bridesmaid dress. The two weddings were happening the next day, my mom's in the morning and my friend's in the evening. I didn't seem stressed about the timing, just about the dresses. Also my mom is unlikely to remarry and my friend is already happily married. Just an all around weird and stressful dream.
A side note about weddings/marriage is that my husband I divorced last year but we reconciled and have recently been discussing getting remarried. I'm thinking there is a deeper connection here to that idea.

2023.06.03 16:36 Sperry8 My engagement ring shopping experience

Hello all,
Just completed 4 days of in-person visits in New York City (Manhattan NYC) shopping for an engagement ring and thought I'd share my experience (as many of your posts helped me). Please know I am not an expert so just sharing my personal experience.
I met with 6 companies and learned a lot. In addition I also shopped at numerous online retailers. All the companies showed me eye-clean sparkly looking mined diamonds. However, I learned the industry does not provide enough information for us to truly make an informed decision to compare and contrast the diamonds and to ensure we're getting good value for the diamond we end up purchasing. The reality is, most consumers don't seem to care. They buy based on carat size, setting type, price, and sparkle. For those that care more, internet research discusses the 4 C's (usually described in a report from a grading company like GIA or similar). But sadly, this report does not provide all the information required to identify a sparkly mined diamond.
They allow you to compare and contrast in a controlled setting (in-store with fancy lighting), against a few other diamonds (also controlled). If you have a favorite diamond from one store and want to contrast it against another (or against one online), you are unable to do so. Only seeing diamonds side by side, without the controlled lighting, would we be able to truly see the possible difference in color tint and sparkle.
However, there are add'l reports and tools that allow you to ascertain how sparkly your diamond will perform - but almost none of the stores provide these reports. Some of the online retailers do - but they only provide some, not all, of these reports.
Finally, because consumers only care about carat size, setting type, price, and sparkle the cutters (who cut the raw diamonds) are incentivized not to create perfect sparkly cuts without inclusions, but to keep as much of the raw material as possible, which results in many of these diamonds have inclusions, clouds, and angles that do not optimize the sparkle of the diamond (but do leave them a higher carat size) which is what consumers (and retailers want). Retailers want this because they know 2 things... they can charge more for larger stones, and they can sell stones that aren't perfect to consumers since they don't provide us with enough info to make an informed decision. The result is what I found when shopping. Almost every retailer trots out diamonds that appear sparkly and pretty - but have significant flaws (which are not generally noticeable to the naked eye - but do reduce the shine nonetheless and would be more apparent if shown side by side in natural light).
At a bare minimum, the reports one should look at are GIA Report, Holloway Cut Report, and the Gemex Light Performance Report. Most retailers do not provide these reports unless asked. One must ask, if the diamonds they are showing rank as good on these reports, why would they withhold this information? It seems obvious to me they withhold it because the diamonds we are shown do not rank well on the reports. And without data, one is left to choose a diamond solely based on their "eye" and budget, which will not get you the highest quality diamond at the price you can afford.
When in store, optimally, you also want to do 3 things.
1- Look at the diamond through an (Idealscope) hearts and arrows viewer to make sure the hearts and arrows are clean and present (one can be purchased for ~$15 if you want to bring your own). But, imo, any retailer who doesn't have one sitting there for you to use, is obviously showing you diamonds that will not pass this visual inspection.
2- Use an ASET Scope or other light scope viewer to identify how much "bleed" the diamond has. That is, how much light is refracted back to the eye - vs how much light passes through the diamond (and not back to the eye). This will help you ascertain the brilliance/sparkle of the diamond. You can buy/bring your own, but again, any retailer not offering this knows the diamonds they are showing you won't allow their diamond to grade high.
3- Look at the diamonds side by side, over something white, in natural light (put your hand over the bright lights the store has). See from the top if the sparkle differs and see from the side if you can see a yellow looking tint. This may prove difficult if you cannot sufficiently block their bright light and use natural light (which is how you'll be looking at the diamond through your life when it's on your finger).
If you use all the tools above you'll be more equipped to make an informed decision. Now, sadly, after doing all the above, I'm still not 100% confident I received the best diamond at the best price. I am however, more confident I received an excellent cut, sparkly diamond, in the largest size for my budget. In fact of the 24+ diamonds I saw, only 3 passed the tests above - and odds are I would've ended up with one of those rather than the one I bought. So at the very least I ended up with one of the 3 and put the odds in my favor that I wasn't as ripped off as I would've been.
Another thing to consider is your setting. Setting prices (for the exact same setting) were all over the place (from a low of $850 to a high of $3,600). Again, these were for near identical settings. This is another trick... a store may appear to be giving you a deal on a diamond - but once you include the setting price - you end up not saving at all (or vice versa).
On to the reviews. Budget was $20k all in, incl setting, taxes, and shipping/insurance. Round brilliant natural mined diamond. Setting 14k yellow gold 4 prong pave, and thus my color grade to optimize size was ~I (for a round brilliant cut excellent stone any of the near colorless options (G-J) will look white next to yellow gold so figured no need to pay more for a colorless grade). Based on my budget, stones I was shown were in the 1.8-2.2 carat range.
Lauren B Jewelry:
(i) Showed 4 eye clean diamonds within my budget. Did not provide any reports alongside the diamonds. However, upon request, did provide the GIA reports. Did not offer any add'l reports and did not provide me with a hearts/arrows ideal-scope or ASET viewer in store.
(ii) Setting price was $2,100 (14k)
My take: Excellent friendly in-store service. Diamonds shown were the lowest quality of any I saw during my visit (as it appears to stay within my budget and size request they had to drop down to SI level) GIA reports and loupe confirmed a variety of inclusions and clouds. Settings were some of the most beautiful however and were priced on the lower end of the setting prices I received.
Jangmi Jewelry:
(i) Showed me 3 eye clean diamonds with GIA reports provided without asking. Showed me stones through hearts and arrows viewer without asking. Provided Holloway Cut reports after meeting upon request. Claimed Gemex reports are redundant and not required once someone has seen the HCA Cut report.
(ii) Setting price quoted at $2,800 (14k, but quote includes adding pave to prongs which may have increased price slightly).
My take: Friendly service, although English was 2nd language. Diamonds were priced competitively however GIA and Holloway showed only average stones (with the better GIA report having a worse Holloway score and the worse GIA report having a better Holloway score). They had a hearts and arrows viewer in-store and the stones did have them (to my untrained eye). However. without a Gemex and ASET viewer it was impossible for me to truly identify the sparkle/brilliance of their stones. It is ultimately possible the stones are above average, however, I was not provided the tools to corroborate this.
Soho Gem:
(i) Showed me 5 eye clean diamonds with GIA reports alongside (without asking). Would not provide Holloway Cut or Gemex reports but did offer to have me come back to the store to view the diamonds through their ASET viewer as well as through an Ideal-Scope. This was not offered to me while I was in-store.
(ii) Setting quoted at $3,400 (18k). 18k increased setting price slightly as well as pave around basket.
My take: Friendly in-store service. The specs of the diamond I liked the most were similar to the stone I ultimately chose. It is possible had I been willing to trek back to the store to see the stones through the ASET viewer and Ideal-Scope the stone may have proved excellent in terms of light leakage and hearts and arrows. But without the add'l HCA and Gemex reports, I'd have lacked the information to truly make an informed decision. Further their diamond was $1,300 higher - so it seemed a waste to go through the effort only to see a diamond that matched the specs of the diamond I bought. Plus their setting was significantly more expensive (even when taking 18k into consideration) and they required a 50% deposit to begin.
Ring Concierge:
(i) Showed me 3 eye clean diamonds. Included GIA reports but would not offer add'l reports calling them "unnecessary as GIA certified diamonds with a cut grade of triple excellent... will have maximum brilliance". She claimed any add'l reports function as a "sales/marketing technique".
(ii) Setting quoted at $3,600 (14k). They do however offer the thinnest band at 1.5mm which no other retailer would build (thinnest anyone else would go was 1.8mm).
My take: Friendly in-store service. However, setting prices were the highest of any retailer and when a customer asks for reports on physics/facts only to be told these are sales/marketing techniques, my antenna go way up. She knows (or should know) that not all of GIA's excellent cut diamonds are optimal in terms of brilliance/fire/scintillation and light leakage. Alongside their high setting prices this store was a hard pass. But ahhh, those beautiful settings.
Frank Darling:
(i) created a 4 diamond flight for me to see in store.
My take: Prior to the meeting I called to ask if they would provide any of the reports described herein and they said they do not provide any of the reports, or ASET or hearts/diamond viewers, so I cancelled the meeting. No point in wasting everyone's time if I will not be provided with enough data to make an informed decision.
I.D. Jewelers (Yekutiel Davidov):
(i) showed me 1 stone in-store (and had another queued up for the following day). Provided GIA report alongside the stone and walked me through minimum specs of the GIA report (i.e., showed me how to weed out certain stones immediately, such as what depth % is optimal, what fluorescence is acceptable, etc). Provided Holloway Cut Report and Gemex report via request.
(ii) Setting quoted at $850-$1,100 depending on 14k or 18k gold preference.
My take: Super friendly and knowledgeable service. The diamond graded very well on all 3 reports but the diamond price was on the higher side. However, with the lowest setting price of all the retailers, the total net price was the same as almost all the others and within budget. Only required $1k down. Ultimately was my 2nd favorite diamond. Would've been great to see the diamond through an ASET or Light Scope Viewer but decided not to as I found another slightly larger diamond that passed all the tests.
David S Diamonds:
(i) showed me 2 in-store diamonds. Provided all the reports and viewers described herein. Also provided training as to why I needed all the reports and viewers (full disclosure - this is the store that explained why I needed all the reports and viewers described herein). So obviously he'd provide everything.
(ii) Setting quoted at $950 (14k).
My take: Very friendly and patient in-store service generous with their time. Provided training on how to buy a diamond and implored me to go back out and to the retailers and shop with my new knowledge (before buying). Showed me a diamond I ultimately bought (2.03 carat, J, VVS2, GIA certified, excellent Gemex scores, excellent under light scope, clean hearts and arrows). Saved me ~$2,200-$3,500 vs the other stores with excellent confidence that the stone I bought is as good as it can get within my budget and specs.
James Allen:
Also shopped online at James Allen and even looked at the "competitor" diamonds that the Holloway Report showed once I ran that report. James Allen's True Hearts competitive diamond (with similar specs and grades) was over $5,000 more than the diamond I purchased. And this from the "low cost" online retailer without a storefront.
Other retailers: Kamni, R&R Jewelry and NYC Wholesale Diamonds could not accommodate in-person meetings the week I was in town so I couldn't asses them.
To sum up, if someone wanted me to recommend them a place to start, I'd start with David S Diamonds to get the learning he provides. Then once you have a diamond and price you like from him - go to Yekutiel at I.D. Jewelers and see if he can source something similar at a similar (or better) price. This way you'll have a few options to choose from. You can also double check either of the diamonds you found vs James Allen (or Blue Nile) once you pull the Holloway Cut Report (or have David So or Yekutiel Davidov provide you the Rapport pricing for the diamonds they are showing). This may give you some confidence that you're getting a decent value/price.
If I had to start this process over again, I would not visit any of the diamond stores that have storefronts and significant overhead - I discovered many of them are Instagram stores - selling much lower quality diamonds for the same price because they are popular among the IG crowd . Further, from my limited experience, their settings are way overpriced in comparison and their deposit policies (generally 50% down) are absurd. After all they haven't given you the diamond yet... all you should be required to pay for is the setting.
Finally, please know I am not a diamond expert, and am just a noob who is sharing their learnings over a very small period and very small sample size. I'm simply sharing what I learned and if it helps someone, great. If not - feel free to ignore.

2023.06.03 12:46 Fixitfelixpunk Thrift shop/vintage jewelry?

I’m on a mission to find one of those pretty 50s/60s golden watches, that almost look like bracelets. I’ve been looking everywhere for them, and I know thrift stores carry some sort of jewelry section. if anyone can help me out, that would be great❤️

2023.06.03 11:31 Feder-28_ITA The security cameras have been reduced to just "Jewelry Store Roof Exit" and "Bank Entryway" with this update. The presence of two less viewports truly helps the game run better and not completely crash when using them, and now only the ones that truly matter are availbale. Thoughts?

2023.06.03 06:12 sebonsh AITA for telling my boyfriend not to drive a teenager home?

My (24f) bf (24m) works at a mall at a luxury jewelry store, across the mall is a popcorn store where this 17f works. She is always hanging out at my boyfriends work wearing the most provocative clothing and she will hangout in the store and talk to him almost his entire shift with her friends. She has given him a sob story on how she lives in a group home and her mom kicked her out, and she trauma dumps on him every day, she has told him that he feels like a dad to her?! Weird. I get the immaturity from the age gap but it still makes me uncomfortable. However he will give food to her and drive her home so she doesn’t need to take the bus. He will also go and pick her and her friends up from a movie or something if they ask him too. He doesn’t strike me as doing anything suspicious but he’s just overly nice. I feel like he could be naive to the situation tho. I asked him why can’t he just leave it to her to figure out the car ride situation but he feels bad about it. He frames it in a light of me being paranoid and jealous of a kid. AITA for not wanting him to drive this ‘suffering’ teenage girl home? I just know that in her position it is likely she could want to take advantage of any help she could get and potentially even make a move on him.

2023.06.03 05:08 Dworfmann Hi, guys! I wanted to share a little life of a simple jeweler from Russia.

My name is Vlad Dizendorf. Nice to meet you, and let me tell you a little story about myself. I hope it turned out interesting. Happy reading!
As most people get involved in work, they didn't study, I studied psychology. Prophecy to become a teacher-psychologist didn't happen, as somewhere in the process of studying, I got a cheerful psychiatric diagnosis - mosaic schizophrenia. For all future doctors, don't worry if you have a similar situation to me. If you hurry enough to get the doctor's robe before everybody notices - it'll somehow work out well. (that's a joke, btw). How did I get involved in jewelry making? Accidentally. One friend invited me to his small home party, where he had some scrap metal to play with on his jewelry workbench. I learned from him a little.
I liked it, got involved, and worked for several years. It takes 6-8 years of hard work before getting the idea to open your own small Dizendorf enterprise. Such open happened indeed! At first, my works were pretty simple-ish like this:
But could it be more challenging and intricate? Yes, it could and probably should! . I actively began to sell my rings and even more complicated works to Europe. Such was the start of my studio. I rented a couple rooms at an old base of scientists forgotten by everyone, where I moved all my jewelry junk. Take a look at my retro-style renovation of the place: a Soviet post-industrial cave with flowers on a window:
Things were going pretty well: new hardcore projects, growth of craftsmanship, and a queue of orders. And then something indeed bad happened last year. Somewhere in February. Somewhere in Ukraine (and both in Russia). It's not enough to say that we're still shocked by what's happening between our countries. The start of the mass tragedy led to a personal: almost all work with my clients from Russia, Europe, and the US stopped, as the war was the only interest for several months. My Etsy store got closed, and local sales were low. Thus, all the money SUDDENLY ran out. Can someone offer a nice egg in these trying times?
The solution to the financial problem came ingenuously - if you need more money, it just means you have to work harder, right? Sporadically, I saw an Instagram post from The Pinacothèque Museum. They announced a Luxembourg Prize for Emerging Artists, and I decided to enroll with my best works:
Butterflies (titanium, 925 sterling silver, semi-precious stones) To start my work on them, I ordered some tropical butterflies to gaze on with all care and love possible. I observed my personal feelings while observing their smooth flights through the workshop. Charming creatures.
titanium spine-bone chain bracelet (Titanium, 925 sterling silver, cubic zirconia) Strictly between us, there should have been black diamonds there. But some countries have closed customs borders with Russia just right in time. All the precious pebbles are still dangling somewhere at the customs of Estonia. My last hope to save my workshop was the Art Grant. Hope was gone with this letter, which publically called me an artist. Not everyday people call me an artist, so that'll do :)
After it, I went slightly mad. In general, psychosis is an unpleasant experience that I recommend to no one. I could not approach the workbench for a couple of months. Later I sold my workshop and returned to the same workshop from which I had left at the beginning of the story. You know one popular song that sings: the wheel keeps on turning. Except for one thing - I create real art from time to time besides routine rings.
That'll be it! Thank you all for reading, and be safe, everyone! C:

2023.06.03 05:02 OBGMD I did a thing…

I did a thing…
Went to my local jewelry store wanting to see a Tudor they had… found one of my personal grail watches with box and papers. Sorry Nico, I prefer the smooth bezel.
