2023.06.07 05:28 mollygirlcyr Dental Care Options

My 18 year old daughter went through an eating disorder several years ago and completely destroyed her teeth. We’ve been trying to keep up with fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns for the past several years but they are literally falling out of her mouth faster than we can fix them, so it’s been recommended that we remove the teeth and get her dentures.
The problem is that she needs to have her teeth removed by an oral surgeon due to potential complications. I have 80% coverage but the surgeon is obviously charging way more than the fees set out on the provincial guidelines and it’s going to cost me $3000 out of pocket just for the removal, plus the cost of the dentures. Also, they don’t direct bill insurance so I need to come up with $7000 upfront.
I’m in NB. Do I have any options here? Right now I’m thinking of only extracting a few at a time to make it more affordable but what 18 year old girl wants to go toothless? Loans, borrowing, etc are not an option.
Thank you!!

2023.06.07 04:56 Ok-Buddy-7979 Pittsburgh Peeps! Hotel help?

I am losing my mind looking at these hotel prices. I’m from Ohio. The show falls on the eve of my birthday. Pink is playing PNC Park the same night which is also right by Stage AE.
I’m kinda familiar with the area, but I know the North Shore Residence Inn is already sold out. Kinda nervous I’m not gonna be able to afford going to Queens for my birthday solely due to hotels.

Every Acura Sports Car You Should Know
From the NSX Type S to the Integra, here are the best Acura sports cars over the years.

Does Acura make sports cars?
A history of the Acura sports car
How to save money on Acura insurance

From the blazing speed of Acura’s NSX hypercar to the reborn Acura Integra and the sporty, mid-aughts RSX, Acura has consistently punched above its weight when it comes to sports cars.
Sure, Honda’s luxury and performance brand Acura might convey more luxe than speed, with the reliable and safe MDX and RDX crossovers or the spiffy TLX. But Acura does have a history of producing awe-inspiring sports cars, with one slated for 2023 to get gearheads’ tongues wagging in advance.
We're here to walk you through three of Acura’s most renowned sports cars and show you exactly what makes these sporty rides so great.

Does Acura make sports cars?
Yes, Acura does make sports cars. Well, technically Acura makes one sports car—the fierce NSX, though the soon-to-be-reborn Integra and the fondly remembered RSX are/were both spritely, sporty vehicles.
Acura’s first sports car was the 1989 NSX, which successfully blended the best of a hypercar with the practicality of a daily driver. The NSX lives on to this day as the brand’s premier sports car. But the Integra and the RSX are thrilling in their own right, so we’ll break them all down to give you the lowdown on each of these beastly road stars.
2022 Acura NSX Type S
The 2022 Acura NSX starts at $171,495, and it has been Acura’s go-to sports car since the late 1980s. It remains a top-tier feat of engineering—with its stealth styling and fighter-jet-like body, the 2022 NSX Type S both nods to the speed demons of the past and points to the future, as this hybrid boasts a V6 engine paired with three electric motors.
The 2022 NSX is actually the last, as it will be discontinued after the 2022 model year. Still, talk about going out on a high note—the NSX boasts an asphalt-scorching 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of just 2.9 seconds. Add to that a top speed of 191 miles per hour, responsive handling, and strong brakes, and the 2022 NSX will not be forgotten.
Of course, if you want to get your hands on one of these soon-to-be-collectibles, you’ll need to act quickly—just 300 models of the ‘22 NSX will be produced.
Another cool aspect of the NSX is its Quiet Mode, which will spare your neighbors’ eardrums as you barrel down the street and nearly break the sound barrier on your way to work.
How does the NSX compare to its competitors? Suitably well. Compared to the McLaren 570 ($215,000) and the Mercedes AMG GT($119,000), the NSX actually offers better handling and a quieter ride, making it especially useful as a daily driver, unlike the other two. If you are set on heading to the track and you have money to spend, those non-Acura roadsters might be better for you.

2023 Acura Integra
Next year, Acura will reintroduce its famous Integra—a hatchback that will start at $31,895, making it much more affordable, yet still shifty, fun, and sporty.
While those looking to buy an Integra might be disappointed that they won’t be getting the jaw-dropping power of the NSX, they’ll still be in for a treat—the Integra will feature a turbocharged 1.5 L 4-cylinder engine with 200 horsepower and an available 6-speed manual transmission.
While the new Integra will share a body with the Honda Civic, Acura’s reborn, entry-level luxury coupe will feature distinctive exterior styling and will be a carload of fun to drive.
Since there’s no Type S trim yet, we suggest going for the A-Spec Technology trim, which gets you an even sportier design, 18-inch wheels, and that slick 6-speed manual gearbox. The A-Spec trim also features a limited slip differential, direct steering, and adaptive dampers for even more fun on turns.

2006 Acura RSX
The RSX was Acura’s mid-aughts successor to the Integra—a sporty hatchback with more aggressive styling than its predecessor. While the Acura RSX was discontinued in 2006, it is remembered fondly for its incredible steering and refined drive. The RSX was an affordable, everyday vehicle that offered plenty of fun on the way to the office.
The last RSX sported a smooth and high-revving 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine, with 201 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. It came with a 6-speed manual transmission that was quick and fluid while still offering a secure ride. The RSX also came with strong brakes, a tuned-up suspension, and a super-cool rear spoiler.
When it was last released in ’06, the RSX retailed for $23,845, but you’ll likely be able to find a used one nowadays for $3,000 to $12,000, depending on the trim level, condition, mileage, added features, and other factors.

A history of the Acura sports car
The vaunted NSX, the soon-to-be-undead Integra, and the gone-but-not-forgotten RSX are just some of Acura’s sports car history milestones. Here’s a timeline of Acura’s most important sports car moments.
1986:Honda, determined to challenge the European imports cornering the North American luxury market, forms Acura as its luxury and performance division to make its claim to the U.S. and Canadian markets. Two models were released to start—the sporty Integra, and the Legend, a luxury sedan.
1989:Acura’s unveiling of its NSX hypercar sends a warning shot across the hood of the supercar industry. The NSX was billed as an exotic sports car that was actually practical and reliable. In fact, Motortrend was so smitten with the NSX that it called it “the best sports car ever built.”
1991:Acura dipped its toes into the racing world and won its first race, the 1991 Camel Lights Championship, with a V6-powered NSX racer. Acura would go on to also win the 24 Hours of Daytona race that same year.
2013:In Marysville, Ohio, Acura unveils its Performance Manufacturing Center, built to experiment and create unique driving technology and innovation processes. This facility is where the next-generation NSX was born.
How to save money on Acura insurance
While insuring a sports car is usually more expensive than a sedan, there’s no need for you to sell a kidney in order to insure your NSX or your new back-from-the-dead Integra—just use Jerry!
This car insurance comparison shopping app is all about finding drivers the best insurance policies at the lowest possible price. Sign-up takes just 45 seconds, and then Jerry gets to work comparing top quotes from more than 50 top insurance companies to ensure you get the best policy at an even better rate.

2023.06.07 03:30 smokinmadbluntzfr Florida to Athens questions

Hi ya'll, I was born and raised in Youngstown and moved to Florida later on, after 8 years and the death of my mother in Florida, I'm thinking about moving back to Ohio and Athens seems like a nice fit for something similar to where I live in Florida. I just had some questions and wanted to make sure my impression is correct, as well as welcoming any input on moving to Athens. Thanks!
College town = socially active: From what I can tell, Athens is a pretty social place between the younger skewing demographic and events like the block party, is this accurate?
Affordable living: I can see a few 1b/1b rentals available for the 700-900/mo range, which is literally halving what I'm seeing down here in Florida. Is this right or is there a catch?
pros/cons
+ Close enough to Columbus to somewhat conveniently go to events.
+ Variety, combination of indoor entertainment options (bars) and nature.
- College crowd = can get rowdy
Thanks!

Hi folks. I (19FtM) want to get sterilized, but not sure where to start. I went on the planned parenthood website and it says getting my tubes tied can cost $0-$6,000. How do people get it for free? I can’t afford a $6k procedure right now. I guess I’m trying to find someone who will do it for a decent price. I’m in Northeast Ohio if it helps.

To achieve high quality, QeM's random number generator (QRNG2) utilizes the principles of the quantum electron tunnel effect, to produce truly random numbers that are inherently unpredictable and uncorrelated. By seamlessly incorporating this technology into the QxEaaS system, QeM fully leverages the advantages of QRNG2. This integration guarantees that QeM's Sentry-Q cryptography platform benefits from the maximum levels of entropy, thereby bolstering its resistance against increasingly sophisticated and frequent cyberattacks.

2023.06.05 04:53 uhh_J Good place to get implants?

I'm looking for a good place to get implant supported dentures like all on 4 or 6 or whatever they call it now. I recently had some partial dentures made and they suck, I cant speak or eat with them and they're not the right color. My mother is currently in the process of getting a full set of the best dentures you can get from affordable dentures but we've been back and forth many times and I'm just not happy with how they treat their patients. Anyone have any suggestions on a dentist that doesn't rush you out the door as fast as possible and actually knows what they're doing / does a good job with implants and dentures?

2023.06.04 01:36 Flimsy-Water-3799 Constantly wanting to run(away)

Does anyone deal with this? I very frequently want to run away. My constant hyper fixation is shark teeth and fossil hunting. It's constantly running through my head, how can I move my life to be closer to the Carolina's or Florida? Is there a way I can afford another long weekend trip to go fossil hunting(went to Florida in April)? Checking for flights and rental cars to different locations to see if I could make that affordable. I'm married, established and happy in Ohio besides my love for the ocean and of course, fossil hunting. Life has been hard the past few months which I think is where this is coming from but I'm wondering if this is an adhd thing or just me 🤣

How can Portland have xfinity and mid ohio only get the trucks? Mid ohio's track is cup worthy. The fan's would pack that track as the nearest speedway worth attending is Michigan.
Kentucky speedway is closed and indy for nascar is a joke. They haven't raced at Mansfield speedway in years. If I owned mid ohio, I would tell nascar to shove their trucks.

NJ New homes is only for families with close to a million dollars in bank for a cash offer or for families earning 500k+ yearly income to easily afford 160k down payment with good backup cash and 5-8k monthly payment on property which I am neither. I think I can only do either a small, old, ugly or far away home in NJ for 600k or less which I don't want.
Pros of Columbus I can get a big good looking home for less amount with low property taxes. The home will look better than any other friend's home I had seen in NJ with similar income. Decent private schools for 8-15k per year. (Just need to keep my remote job and future job changes might be hard, also social life needs to be restarted).
Would Christian private schools in Columbus take non christians ?, We are atheists and our family are Hindus.
Requirements
  1. City with good safety where my wife/daughter can walk at night
  2. City where I can afford private schools for 10-15k per year
  3. City with somewhat less state income tax and less property tax
  4. City where I can buy a big home 2k -3k square feet with 4-5 bedroom and 3 bathrooms and backyard for my dog to play for a total price of 600k or less, preferably 400-500k.
  5. I love the cold NJ/NY weather, my favorite outside is 50-60f (I can live with 40f but hard to tolerate 70f + ) and I can't stand the heat as I came from super hot Indian city.
  6. I would like free space of 0.5 -2 acres around but not a requirement
  7. I would like a single floor home but that's mostly in Texas like area right. So I think I can live with two stories. (Updated)
  8. I work in software but permanent remote job. If there are some software in person jobs in the city it would be good as I can get the in person job if I am fired from remote job.
  9. I mostly stay at home but I want some accessibility for music classes, self defense classes, gym, warehouse clubs,

2023.06.03 19:43 caitrenee101 Family with young toddler considering moving to Muskegon

Hello all! My partner (32M) and I (33F) are considering relocating to Michigan from Ohio and hoping to get some insight from others about the areas we're interested in. We are particularly interested in hearing from parents in the Western part of the Michigan about your experience as an outdoor oriented family. We have a 2 YO.
Some things we're interested in: 1. Outdoor culture! We'd love to be around like minded families with young kids who like to camp, swim, walk, bike, run, etc. 2. We would LOVE to buy an affordable (for us, ~$250k) home that is within walking distance of some restaurants and parks. 3. Racial and economic diversity. We don't want to live in a predominantly white wealthy town. We are also politically progressive/left and this is an important part of our family value system. 4. Potentially, secular homeschooling group access. We are non religious and would like to have access to non religious groups. Our child is not school-aged but we have loose plans to homeschool.
Some areas we are currently considering are Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and obviously, Muskegon. I really like the idea of lake access on a regular basia, and all of the learning opportunities it provides, so Muskegon is my current top choice, based on nothing other than my internet sleuthing 🤣 It looks as if Glenside/Lakeside might suit our needs? How is Nims? We are coming from a major metro area and crime stats do not freak us out (like, we already are used to locking our cars and garage), but want our kid to be able to play in the yard without worrying. We both work remotely so jobs are not a consideration. We would likely need some sort of part-time childcare, so this is a consideration in a smaller town/city.
TIA!

2023.06.03 09:41 Shady-_-Shadow BS misdemeanor drug charge! Please help!

Hello, I’m in desperate need of help. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you!
I was pulled over for roll-stopping a stop sign just a little bit ago. The officer noticed me shaking and asked why and I told her it was bc it was a little chilly (65°) and I get nervous around authority figures. So, she asked if she could search me and the vehicle. I said yes bc in my experience being compliant has always gotten me off with just a warning and besides, all I had on me was a delta 8 cart. Big mistake. She took the cart and roadside tested it and it came back as NOT delta 8 and she slapped me with a misdemeanor drug charge. (She did not write me up for the roll-stop) I purchased the cart at a local smoke shop and they still sell the same cart. I didn’t have the original packaging so I went to the smoke shop and took a picture of the front and back of the packaging of the cart that I bought. I don’t have the receipt for it but I do have my bank statement which shows the purchase.
What can I do about this? I have court in a few days and I have no idea what I’m walking into. I’ve never been in any trouble before and I can’t afford a lawyer so I’m absolutely clueless about this. Thank you for your help.
Location: Portage County Kent Ohio

2023.06.03 05:51 GreenLigh Husband needs an abscessed tooth extracted but can’t be seen until Monday. What to do in the meantime? (Aka, calm down a terrified wife)

My husband (34m) is a former smokevape user but hasn’t done either for about five years. He does not drink alcohol. He has full upper dentures and his lower teeth are badly decayed, we just haven’t been able to afford the lower dentures.
Around five days ago he started having a lot of pain in his left jaw and a headache. It got progressively worse and I was able to get him into a dentist today. The senators confirmed it’s an abscess and the tooth cannot be saved. She referred him to an oral surgeon and gave him a z-pack antibiotics. The surgeon’s office is closed until Monday.
In the meantime my husband’s jaw is swollen up to the size of a golf ball and he is in extreme pain. I keep reading about tooth abscesses causing sepsis or brain damage and am beside myself with worry. We live in a rural area and there is no emergency dentist near us. Can he survive until Monday or should I try to find someone to get this tooth out now even if it means driving several hours?
