I was group forming for an assignmet at university and tried unmasking. Before i would be able to pass as a "below average person" who just barely had enough social skills when i masked as hard as i could. I thought maybe lets try once to unmask and see how it goes. OMFG. I was speaking to this girl and she looked so insanely creeped out by me and made an excuse and sat at another table. I was like huh weird why she act like that??? I went and talked to a dude in another table and he was like also saying 'yeh yeh' and looking at his friend with a smile on his face like he was trying not to laught at me. I went to another girl and tried building a rapport so that i could ask if we could be in a group. She again appeared very creeped out or disinterested in a way. She made fake conversatino giving me very one worded replies, etc and never looking at me whilst hugging herself and clsoing her arms around her chest. She again left and went to a diffferent table. Some guy shouted "who let bro cook?" and everyone started laughing.
I am never unmasking again. I dont care if am a 5 foot 6 19 year old indian man who is balding and has aspergers. I will mask and mask and keep trying to maximise my looks and money and anything else that NTs take for granted. I will never let anyone tell me again that "NTs have a hard life too". I cant decsribe the feeling. Its so strong that it creates the opposite effect. I feel sorry for them. I feel sorry for them because of what im going to show them. Im going to achieve everythign that they said or implied i couldnt. Im going to find that special beautiful person who loves me equally. Im going to get this IT degree. Im going to work long hours at a part time job. Im going to get promoted to manager. Im going to have lots of friends and amazing close friends. Im going to retire my mom. Im going to get in such good shape and regrow my hair and look so good that they start feeling insecure about themselves looking in the mirror. Im going to introduce them to my beautiful wife in the future and indulge in the jealous stares they give her and me. Im going to show off my huge salary and house. I dont care if i die from exhausting trying to achieve these things or have a brain aneurysm in my extremely tiring attempts at masking. I will not let this slide. Just let me cook bro.....

Our car was booked in 2021 end. And it was delivered in mid 2022. Because of delay in delivery, they offered gifts to those cutomers who had booked their cars before 2022. And we contacted our nearest dealership and chose a specific gift. It was basically an accessory: car refrigerator. It costs around 27k if u buy it directly from MG. But we were supposed to receive it for free. And they kept delaying it for over a year and asked us to write an e-mail to MG regarding it. They suggested the e-mail idea very late and we too didn't pay much attention to it. They always gave an explanation that the refrigerator was available at some other dealership in our state. And we recently visited that particular dealership which was supposed to prvide the refrigerator. They told us that the offer has expired and since we didn't write any e-mail, we can't avail it. Imo it was their fault since they kept delaying it for a year. And now they're pushing the blame on us. What's the logic of an offer expiring if it's supposed to be for a limited number of people?

So I will soon see my family after not seeing them for a while,grandmas,uncles and all so I will buy them gifts, but I don't know what to buy to my 15 year old niece. She's a girl, and in art school, and she shared a lot of her struggles with me (via phone) how her older brother emotionally abused her and he is the favorite sibling. I feel bad for her and I was thinking about buying her something symbolic but I don't know what. I won't see her again in a while. I want to have a "stay strong" kind of message in my gift.

I thing across the spider verse was written in a much different way compared to into the spider verse. Even though ITSV was supposed to be the "spiderman multiverse movie", it was still very personal and was pretty focused on miles Morales while using the multiverse as a catalyst, to develop mile's character and create a conflict in the story with kingpin. Whereas ATSV has focused much more on the multiverse, the consequences miles had to face because of it and the general idea of what being spiderman means, what it means to be a young person who has a curse in the form of a gift, someone doomed to lose everyone and still strive to do the right thing, being a true hero. ATSV might just be the first superhero movie which taps the full potential of concept of the multiverse, excited to see what we have in store for BTSV. Which leads me to the conclusion that ITSV and ATSV just can't be compared, because ATSV is not the kind of sequel that we have been seeing for so long. I feel like a sham of a parent! I know she is looking to me for advice that will point her in a direction, but she is the one that ultimately has to make a decision and life with the consequences of that decision.
She is 24yo. The last.5 years have been difficult. SA by a trusted family member sent her I to a mental health tailspin. She has managed to right the ship some, but still has quite a way to go.
He current boyfriend (well ex as of 2 days ago) is what I would consider a narcissist as well.as emotionally abusive. The started living together 1 month into the relationship. One and half years later and she finally go fed up enough to get away. Then she finds out she's pregnant.
She wants the baby, but not HIS baby, or the lifetime tether that would have. She works as a waitress at a place that's too slow to make any kind of real money. She move back home 3 months ago at the first BF split. But continued to go on dates (and obviously more). So providing for a baby alone would be near impossible. She has no real tract record of follow through on anything. Even before the SA.
She doesn't want to carry it to term and give it up because her cynical world view of people makes her believe the baby would more than likely end up in a crappy situation.
She doesn't believe in abortion, but believes this is her only option. I ask questions to illicit thoughts or plans on her part. DH and I can't raise a baby. He's on disability retirement and I have to work. We are prepared to be supportive grandparents of need be, but the financial toll of the last 5 years and her habitually making irresponsible decisions have made us cut of money support even prior to this situation.
So.here we are in a hotel in a different state because we live in a ban state. She is scheduled for tomorrow morning. And I feel like a worthless parent for not being able to give her what I belive she is wanting from me......a decision that absolves her of having to make a tough decision.
I have no idea what to say anymore. I'm here in this hotel not because I've pushed her to be here. I'm here because I told her I would be there for her regardless of her decision, short of raising it.

I (41M) have an ex which I have 3 children with, one of which recently had her high school graduation. My daughter Angie(17F, late birthday) invited me to her graduation, and I’d said I’d be there. I am currently in a committed relationship to my girlfriend of a few months (41F), who has a daughter Lauren (24F). Lauren recently graduated with a bachelors in biology.
A week before the graduations, I was then given an invite by my girlfriend and Lauren to her graduation. Her father passed away and she told me it would mean the world to have someone there to support her in his place. I agreed before learning what the date and time of the event was.
Day of the graduation, I’m getting ready to head over to Angie and her mothers house to head off to the ceremony. My girlfriend asks me why I’m getting ready to early, so I explain its in two hours, got an hours drive and want to make sure I’m there on time so I don’t hold them up, as well as travel time to the venue - then she cuts me off to say that she had no idea that was today, and told me today was also Laurens graduation. Laurens ceremony was 3 hours after the start time of Angie's graduation. I did some math and figured I had time to at least be partially present for Angie’s graduation, give her the gift I had for her, and take some pictures beforehand, but my girlfriend was not too happy with the idea. Stating it would be devastating if I didn’t keep my promise to Lauren, and that I wouldn’t be “stepfather material” if I blew her off like that. I tried to explain I'd still be there for the entirety of Laurens ceremony with this plan but she just wouldn't listen, but wouldn't give me any reason why either besides just me "owing it to her" and her daughter.
I let that get the best of me and gave Angie a call, told her I was having issues with my car and wouldn’t be able to attend, however I would see her as soon as I could to get the gifts and take her out to dinner to celebrate with me. I went to Lauren's ceremony later in the day. Of course I was in some of the pictures, which were posted on Facebook and I was tagged in them. My wife, and probably Angie too, saw the photos on my page.
My ex wife is livid, saying I betrayed my daughter and blew her off for some other kid I barely know or have any responsibility for. I tried to play it off like we took Laurens car there but she didn’t listen. She said I could have done better, could’ve done more, with stuff like uber and lyft I could’ve gotten a ride if I cared enough to see her and pay the fees but I just decided not to and I don’t deserve to be in her life anymore. Angie isn’t responding to my calls to set up our agreed upon dinner date to celebrate her achievement. AITA, or are they just blowing things out of proportion ? I can understand how not even bothering to attend partially would make me TA, but I figured planning a day just for her separately would make up for that, am I wrong?
Edit : me and Angie were never close. She's what I considered my "different/boring" child. Always on her phone around me, we never shared any interests, its not like we were buddy buddy. Angie always had social problems. I am quite close to Lauren. Shes very funny and outgoing, enjoys engaging in conversation/debate with me. - Added since someone said I barely knew Lauren.

hi, so I crochet for my small business and do artist alleys and crafts fairs. I have these tiny triceratops products (in a variety of colors) and I had this idea to diy a cardboard gashapon/toy capsule machine for the display and customer interaction. I'd put the triceratops in these capsule balls and have my customers pay for a turn and give them a coin to use the machine. Could anyone help me gauge how to price them?
