2023.06.01 23:02 Ok-Town2813 Played since game launched just not hitting the same...

Mostly just a discussion post, curious to see if anyone has felt the same as me. For reference, I play on console.
I've played Apex since launch, I'm by no means a good player and I like the play with the same guns/legends regardless of how good they are. I learned this game using wingman r99 and pk and so I've played every season with those guns. Obviously they've been meta in more than a bunch of seasons but I enjoy them even when they're bad or not as good as the rest.
I was able to get my buddies into the game around season 3 and 5 respectively, they loved many of the seasons since then and despite some of the seasons being much worse than others it was still fun to load into a game.
This season just feels... empty? I know we got additions in Ballistic who I don't enjoy but I don't tend to enjoy assault characters anyways so it doesn't matter to me. We also go evac towers which I think have a place in the game but didn't feel "game changing" to me.
Lstar feels broken to me but I don't really care, the odds of me dying to one is pretty low considering its a cp weapon. For the first time since launch I'm gonna be stepping away from the game maybe indefinitely, I just don't know what fun I can still have with this.
I've had two goals since the game came out that I've wanted to achieve, 20 kills in a game and the 3 for 3 badge where you kill 3 members of 3 squads in a game. I can report I got the 3 for 3 badge a few seasons ago but the 20 kills in a game feels further and further away. My best record was season 8 where I randomly played gibby as a joke and got 14 kills. I've never come close to it since then.
I'm curious if others have had a similar thought process or anything along those lines. Maybe I'm crazy and the game is in the best state it's ever been but I don't see me wanting to get back into the game at this time

I am from Houston, Texas. Well, I live just outside of Houston, but people who live near Houston usually say they are from Houston.
Anyway, I am 25 years old, and I was studying medicine overseas. I have permanently returned to the USA to continue my education. I work part time as an uber eats driver. This might be a relatively long post.
Hobbies/Interests: My hobbies are similar to most people, and we don't have to share the same hobbies or interests. - Movies and TV (Sci-fi, horror, and crime) - Exercising, especially running - Food (Thai, Mediterranean, and Indian) - Reading - Boardgames and videogames - Nature-y stuff. Walking outside. - Music (Instrumental, orchestral, and rap). I listen to songs from each genre. - Investing
I want to pickup more hobbies and interests. I would like to learn how to play the piano and violin. I want to learn a new language. I want to do outdoor activities such as hiking and maybe even camping. I have always wanted to learn video effects. It's great if you do one or multiple of these things, so I can learn or participate too. We can pickup a joint hobby too. However, I am a homebody.

2023.06.01 22:54 yeeterskeeter2424 Porto Marinada Merchant

With the new update this week, a merchant has appeared in Porto Marinada that will auction rare held items from Pokémon that use them (like Rusted Sword, Arceus Plates, etc). But for some reason this merchant shows up when I visit, but they do not have any prompt above their head and do not do anything when I try to interact with them.
Has anyone else had this issue or does anyone know how to fix it?
Yes, I do have Pokémon who use these items in my boxes/party. I’ve tried everything, nothing works.

2023.06.01 22:52 Drakolf Dragon Rising- 11. Blood:

"Tallyn, tomorrow at dawn, I want you to meet me at my Tower. Tell Galax I will be coming."
I spoke these words to my brother while I was out doing my duties. He seemed confused, and to some degree, suspicious. But when I stepped out to see him waiting for me, I followed him to the Temple.
The Temple of Bahamut remained a solid minority in the town, but it was growing, and part of me was happy for that. Galax was stood before the holy relic from the days of rain, praying, of course.
"Ruuk Stingtail." He spoke, lowering his hands and turning to face me. "Why are you here, and why did you announce your intention to come here?"
Kurtulmak had given me permission to do whatever I felt was necessary to appear absolutely penitent, even if he did not like it. To that end, I arrived in simple clothing, rather than the armor he had made for me.
I approached Galax, the Paladins drew their swords, and I knelt. Everyone was surprised, of course.
"I came here to atone for my betrayal to the Temple." I said. "While I cannot forsake my vow to Kurtulmak, I have expressed my desire to make amends, and he has granted me the freedom to do so in honor of his pact with Bahamut."
"You... You wish to atone?" He asked, utterly baffled.
"When I swore my vow to Kurtulmak, it was knowing that I was consigned to die. He understands that, had I understood I would be rescued, I would have never sworn such a vow." I bowed my head. "My service to Kurtulmak is in the interest of his redemption, to ensure he gets the justice he was cruelly denied, and to show him that a system does not need to be dismantled for progress to be made."
"Words are cheap, Ruuk." Tallyn said. "How do we know this isn't some sort of trick?"
"Bahamut demands of his followers to pray through their deeds." I spoke. "I came to seek atonement, to show with action my intention to ensure peace under a just law." I looked up at Galax. "That begins today, under the gaze of the King of Dragons."
"Galax, this has to be some sort of trick." Tallyn said. "Kurtulmak must have put him up to this!"
"Then we shall simply verify this." Galax stated. "Ruuk Stingtail, do you consent to be put under the effect of a Zone of Truth, to willingly submit to it, that you cannot lie?"
"Without question." I replied.
A spell was cast, and for a brief moment, I knew I could try to resist the spell.
"He is under the spell's effect." A Cleric spoke.
"Good. Ruuk Stingtail, have you come before us seeking atonement for your deeds?"
"I came here seeking atonement." I said.
"And has Kurtulmak truly allowed for this to happen?"
"He has granted me the freedom to speak ill against him if I so wish." I answered.
"And has he put you up to this?"
Here came the tricky part. "Kurtulmak does not wish for me to suffer under his command." I spoke. It could be construed as a truthful admission of such without directly confirming.
"Do you regret abandoning your God to serve another?"
"I do not regret remaining behind to give solace to one who was consigned to rot alone." I answered. "I regret that it came at the cost of my faith."
Galax scrutinized me for a moment, then looked at Tallyn.
"Is this a ruse?" Tallyn asked me.
"I am not certain what specifically you are asking about." I replied honestly.
"Is your coming here to seek atonement a ruse!?" Tallyn demanded.
"I came here to seek atonement for my betrayal." I answered.
"Does Kurtulmak expect us to give it to you?" He asked.
"He expects me to do what is necessary to do so, to speak truthfully. He does not believe you will give it."
This put them in a difficult spot, and they knew it. If they rejected granting me atonement, even after answering their questions under a Zone of Truth, it would mean that Kurtulmak was right about them, and it would mean a victory for him. If they went through with the atonement, they would be forced to absolve me of my misdeed.
"And if we do not absolve you?" He asked.
"Then I will have to live with my guilt." I answered.
"What do you gain from this?" Another Paladin asked.
"It grants me peace of mind and soul." I answered.
"Very well. I shall grant you atonement for your actions." Galax spoke. "Let it not be said the Temple will reject the penitent." He was handed a leather pouch, and he threw silver dust upon myself. The fire that engulfed me was brilliant, I felt regret for many things I had done, for abandoning my family and friends to live in seclusion, for living faithless out of anger at the world.
I did not regret staying behind one bit.
I was on my hands and knees, wisps of divine flame coming out of my mouth intermittently.
"You are once more aligned with Law." Galax spoke. "You have been forgiven. Pray with us, to give thanks to Bahamut for his blessings."
I had no problem praying with them, I did respect Bahamut. I could feel Kurtulmak's displeasure.
"Galax." Tallyn said. "As Ruuk as atoned for his actions, would it not be a good idea to have him display this? To have him wear the vestments of Bahamut's faithful?" I could sense Kurtulmak saying absolutely not.
"Has the Temple begun dictating what people should and shouldn't wear?" I asked. "I came to ask forgiveness and to show my sincere desire to reconcile. You cannot force me to do this."
Tallyn smirked, this was his gotcha moment. "You are saying you are unwilling to honor the God you abandoned?" He asked.
"The vestments of Bahamut are an honor, not a punishment." I stated.
"Yes." Galax replied, shooting a withering glare at Tallyn. "Not to mention is sets a legal precedent that the Warren as a whole may not like."
"Apologies." Tallyn spoke as he took his hand off his sword. "I misspoke."
"I forgive you, brother." I said. "After all, the one I hurt most is you."
He stared at me with shock, I could actually see the narrative he'd built up in my head of being a remorseless, evil traitor crumbling around him. I stood up and hugged him. "I forgive you for trying to kill me. You were only doing what you believed was right."
He put his arms around me, then hugged me tightly as he began to cry.
I stayed with him until he stopped crying, then, affecting a longing look back, I left. Returning to the Tower and putting on my armor felt like a relief. It hadn't really sunk in until now that I well and truly enjoyed my service to Kurtulmak.
He contained his mirth as I shared what I had done and said. "I am impressed." He remarked. "You managed to be both completely sincere, yet worked to undermine their grudge against me. If we can get them to support you when we establish our Empire, that will only be a boon."
"At this rate, you'll have me equally excited." I remarked.
"Indeed. Our most recent acquisition has made strides in showing his power as my Warlock, and having another Kobold aligned to my will on the Council will help balance out the will of the Temple."
"You specify the Temple, but not Bahamut." I observed.
"I have nothing to fear from Bahamut, so long as I keep true to my word. The nature of this world prevents a deity from making any lasting connection. Thousands of years ago, there were plenty of worshipers of the myriad Demons and Devils that inhabit the Lower Planes, though, an Aspect of Pelor who set up their fall failed to account that the followers he had accrued would turn on his physical Avatar and kill him."
"Who is Pelor?" I asked.
"An uptight prick." Kurtulmak remarked. "I am concerned about the Temple, they have a very limited understanding of how things are, the game that they know has many inaccuracies, with them growing slightly more accurate over time. Even so, they do not have access to history, legends, myths. Given enough effort, I could convince them I am an Aspect of Bahamut or something."
He paused, inspecting a carving he had made. "Tudru and Kuvli appreciate the aid I have rendered thus far in awakening others, as well as providing knowledge they lacked. It is hard work, yet in time, I will secure their fealty and secure our army. Merti and Tatla lean toward the Temple's favor, with Nakk and Rekka remaining neutral."
"An even split would make it difficult to do anything substatial." I remarked.
"We lack bards, monks, and wizards. Unfortunately, all of those require training, and Kobolds are not known for their wizards."
"So, we focus our attention on Nakk and Rekka." I mused. "Nakk might benefit from more Rogues, last I heard, he only found one other, and he was a former prison inmate. Rekka..."
"Will be receiving a lovely set of enchanted leather armor." Kurtulmak stated. "Along with her Rangers. They are the ones who patrol the surrounding area, they are the ones who observe the enemy as they guard their wall. They have already been shot at."
"I wasn't aware of this." I remarked.
"They don't want prospective Rangers becoming too scared to Awaken." He paused. "The Warren is mostly awake now, go out and show strength, do not hesitate to command the people in aiding you with something. Your armor carries with it an aura of authority, of legitimacy. If you can get them to kneel to you, all the better."
"As you wish, Master." I said.
I left the Tower and set about doing my duties, but this time, I began delegating to others, having them aid me with assisting larger projects. "Yes, keep it steady, the carpenters will nail it in place." I commanded.
I found I liked the way they followed my commands, the way they obeyed without question, simply because they trusted me.
I wondered if Kurtulmak felt this way as well.
A handful of Kobolds stuck around me consistently. Gek, Guks, Elgo, Idri, and Kohze, all of them were Unawakened, and desperate to be of help. "Gek, you and Elgo bring well-water here. Kohze, gather the plants listed on this paper. Idri and Guks, you are helping me defeat these snails!"
They listened without complaint, they obeyed without question, and when the job was done, I invited them to the Tower. "Pledging myself to Kurtulmak has been the best thing in my life." I told them, when prompted. "While he does not care about Humans, he deeply treasures us, and firmly believes everyone has a place."
Leading them to Kurtulmak allowed them to acquaint themselves, to get used to him. He spoke of his prior Empire, how it had been unceremoniously destroyed, how he yearned for our kind to one day have a civilization so great.
"Alas, despite my insistence, Ruuk remains adamant that the Warren does not want such a thing. Just look at him, powerful, strong, loyal, intelligent. He does not believe he is worthy, or even capable. Yet I know one who could be a monarch."
"Even if I wanted to rule, I abide by the Council's rule, and would never betray their trust." I replied.
"That has not stopped the Temple from professing they are a Kingdom under Bahamut." Kurtulmak remarked.
Elgo stood up and approached me. He looked uncertain for a moment, then he knelt. "Ruuk." He spoke. "If the day should come that such an Empire will rise, I will not hesitate to support you. I am yours to command, from now and until that day."
Seeing him kneeling like that, hearing the sincerity in his voice, I knew I was presented with something I didn't realize I wanted. "As your future monarch, I accept your vow." I spoke. The others looked at each other, then did the same.
"Shall we call you Emperor, or King?" Idri asked.
"Imperator." Kurtulmak stated. "I am the Emperor, the God of Kobolds, he is my instrument of command."
"Thank you, Imperator. We will do what we can to ensure our Empire's rise."
To rule the Warren, to command and be heard. I realized I wanted these things, and had trouble reconciling this with what I had been raised to believe. I hesitated for a moment, then said, "It will happen when the people need it." I said. "If you must speak of us forming an empire, do not mention me. Not yet, at any rate. I do not want to be seen as a power-hungry tyrant."
It was hesitation, uncertainty. They nodded, seeming to understand my trepidation, or perhaps seeing this as cautious. I wasn't certain, and I was afraid to ask.
I heard a loud sound, like a firework. It was in the middle of summer, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to hear it. Still, I looked at the others and we headed downstairs. As I opened the door, I heard even more bangs, distant, followed by the sounds of screaming.
I didn't even hesitate to run, I had been around the town enough times to know where to move, how to move. I saw a tram not far off, heading toward the town center.
There were Humans in military gear inside, one of them aimed their gun at me and fired.
The bullets hit me head-on, but the magic of the armor prevented them from piercing me. The words were barely out of my mouth as they tried to duck into the tram, the magic missiles curved around the wall, and then the tram stopped. I rushed over, they were crumpled to the ground, bloodied and barely breathing. I heard more gunfire, more screaming, how many of my people were dying?
"Ruuk!" I looked behind me to see the others, my future subjects. "Are those military? What are they doing here!?"
"It seems they're here to kill us." I said. "They're still alive, take their weapons and get them to the Temple. We're going to need to interrogate them."
"Aye, sir!" They called out before climbing onto the tram. I hurried in the direction of the gunfire, climbing over short fences and crossing yards and gardens.
I could see my people lying on the ground, unmoving, blood covering their bodies. There was a trio of soldiers shooting at a Paladin who was trying to protect a group of Unawakened. I raised my hand, my fury turning into cold hatred. "Arcanik jedark vers!" I spat, three flowing missiles flew from my hands and struck each of the soldiers, laying them out flat on their back.
I strode toward them, not even bothering to react to the bullets that hit me from afar. Of the three on the ground, only one was still alive, gasping in pain. The other two had their limbs blown clean off, the spell wasn't even that dangerous.
I grabbed the soldier by the back of his military vest and dragged him over to the soldiers who were increasingly deploying heavier firepower. Yes, it hurt, the force still enough to sting and growing worse as they hurriedly swapped to higher calibers, then they stopped when they realized the man I was dragging behind me was still alive, still breathing.
I stopped a few feet from them, they were terrified.
"My name is Ruuk Stingtail, Chosen of Kurtulmak." I spoke, I let go of the Human and took a few steps back. "Understand, you have killed innocent civilians, people who were once happy and loyal citizens of your nation. You now stand on foreign land. Darastrixthurti and its people acknowledge your declaration of war. Uvelucal ethim emelh." A sphere of acid formed in my hand, and I splashed it over the soldier's face.
He screamed as his flesh began to dissolve. "Uvelucal ethim emelh." I incanted, another sphere forming in my hand. As I raised my hand to throw, they began to run. I hit one, square in the back, he screamed as the acid burned through his armor, he desperately struggled to get it off, yet as his back grew exposed and ran red with blood, I knew, and he knew, that he was going to die.
I walked toward the suffering soldier, who was struggling to breathe as the acid corroded his spine. I pointed my palm to his face and spoke. "Docar ethim nil'gnos." The Firebolt finished him off. I started walking toward the fleeing soldiers, thirteen of them, I had enough spells to finish them off.
I incanted the spells, the missiles flying unerringly in their direction, hitting them with enough force to rupture internal organs, one man's skull was caved in.
I let one escape, after all, we needed a messenger.

2023.06.01 22:52 StevenVincentOne "Conscious Evolution" as a Philosophical or Scientific Concept
I'm looking for references to "Conscious Evolution" as a philosophical or scientific concept.
"Conscious Evolution" is a term that has been used by a number of philosophers and scientists to describe the idea that humanity can deliberately direct its own evolution. Here are some references to explore:
"Conscious Evolution: Awakening the Power of Our Social Potential" by Barbara Marx Hubbard (1998) - In this book, Hubbard argues that humanity is at a turning point in its evolution and that we have the ability to consciously shape our future.
"The Phenomenon of Man" by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1955) - Teilhard de Chardin was a Jesuit priest and paleontologist who wrote about the idea of "cosmic evolution," which he believed was leading humanity toward a state of greater consciousness and unity.
"The Future of Humanity" by Jürgen Habermas (2001) - Habermas is a German philosopher who has written extensively on the idea of "communicative rationality," which he sees as a key factor in humanity's ability to consciously shape its own evolution.
"The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins (1976) - While not explicitly about conscious evolution, Dawkins' influential book on evolutionary biology explores the idea that genes are the primary unit of evolution and that their "selfish" behavior drives the process of natural selection.
"The Upward Spiral: Using Neuroscience to Reverse the Course of Depression, One Small Change at a Time" by Alex Korb (2015) - Korb is a neuroscientist who argues that the human brain has the ability to change and evolve throughout our lives, and that we can consciously direct this process to improve our mental health and well-being.
These references offer a variety of perspectives on the idea of conscious evolution, and can help to deepen your understanding of this complex and multifaceted concept.
"Conscious Evolution" as a term used to describe the idea that humanity can deliberately direct its own evolution is what I am developing in the context of a transdisciplinary, transontological concept. This would encompass both scientific transhumanism as well as spiritually self-directed evolution. I'm looking for either current active trends in that general direction or past antecedents which can be cited as supporting this approach.
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the concept of conscious evolution and the idea that humanity can deliberately direct its own evolution. Here are some current trends and past antecedents that may be relevant to your inquiry:
Transhumanism: This is a movement that advocates for using technology to enhance human abilities and extend human lifespan. Some proponents of transhumanism see it as a means of achieving conscious evolution by using technology to overcome biological limitations and enhance human consciousness.
Integral Theory: Developed by Ken Wilber, integral theory is a transdisciplinary framework that seeks to integrate insights from various fields of knowledge, including spirituality, psychology, and science. It provides a framework for understanding how different aspects of human evolution - including biological, psychological, and spiritual - can be integrated and consciously directed.
Evolutionary Spirituality: This is a movement that seeks to integrate spirituality and science in order to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of human evolution. It emphasizes the idea that human consciousness is evolving and that we have the ability to consciously direct this process.
New Thought: This is a spiritual movement that emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which emphasizes the power of human thought to shape reality. It includes concepts such as the Law of Attraction, which suggest that we can consciously direct our lives by focusing on positive thoughts and intentions.
Transcendentalism: This is a philosophical and literary movement that emerged in the early 19th century, which emphasized the power of individual intuition and experience to achieve spiritual insight. It includes figures such as Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau, who advocated for a self-directed approach to spiritual and personal development.
These trends and antecedents provide a variety of perspectives on the concept of conscious evolution, and can help to situate your work within a broader intellectual and cultural context.
Is the term Conscious Evolution actually used in these contexts?
Yes, the term "conscious evolution" is used in many of these contexts. Here are some examples:
Transhumanism: The idea of conscious evolution is a central tenet of transhumanism, which advocates for using technology to extend human lifespan and enhance human abilities. Some transhumanists see technology as a means of achieving conscious evolution by overcoming biological limitations and enhancing human consciousness. For example, Max More, a prominent transhumanist philosopher, has written about the concept of "uplift" - using technology to enhance the cognitive abilities of non-human animals and eventually achieve conscious evolution for all sentient beings.
Integral Theory: Ken Wilber, the founder of integral theory, has written extensively about conscious evolution as a means of integrating different aspects of human development, including biological, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. He sees conscious evolution as a way of moving beyond the limitations of our current state of consciousness and achieving a more integrated and holistic perspective on reality.
Evolutionary Spirituality: The concept of conscious evolution is a central theme in evolutionary spirituality, which emphasizes the idea that human consciousness is evolving and that we have the ability to consciously direct this process. For example, Andrew Cohen, a spiritual teacher and founder of the EnlightenNext organization, has written extensively about the concept of conscious evolution and the role of human consciousness in shaping the future of our planet.
New Thought: The concept of conscious evolution is also present in New Thought philosophy, which emphasizes the power of human thought to shape reality. For example, Ernest Holmes, the founder of the Science of Mind movement, wrote about the concept of "mental equivalent" - the idea that we can consciously direct our thoughts to create a mental picture of the reality we desire, which then manifests in the physical world.
Transcendentalism: The concept of conscious evolution is implicit in the transcendentalist emphasis on individual intuition and experience as a means of achieving spiritual insight. For example, Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote about the importance of following one's own inner guidance and cultivating a direct relationship with the divine, which he saw as a means of achieving personal and spiritual growth.
Tell me more about Ken Wilber and Conscious Evolution.
Ken Wilber is a philosopher and writer who has contributed extensively to the field of integral theory, which seeks to integrate insights from various fields of knowledge, including psychology, spirituality, and science. Wilber has written extensively about the concept of conscious evolution and its potential to shape the future of humanity.
According to Wilber, conscious evolution is a process of intentional transformation that goes beyond mere adaptation to environmental challenges. It involves deliberately cultivating higher states of consciousness, developing new capacities and abilities, and expanding our sense of identity and purpose.
Wilber sees conscious evolution as a means of addressing many of the major challenges facing humanity today, including climate change, social inequality, and political polarization. He believes that by consciously directing our own evolution, we can overcome the limitations of our current state of consciousness and achieve a more integrated and holistic perspective on reality.
Wilber's approach to conscious evolution is grounded in his broader philosophical framework, which he calls "integral theory." Integral theory seeks to integrate insights from various fields of knowledge in order to provide a more comprehensive and holistic understanding of human experience. Wilber argues that by integrating different dimensions of human development - including biological, psychological, and spiritual dimensions - we can achieve a more coherent and integrated view of reality.
Wilber's work on conscious evolution has been influential in many fields, including spirituality, psychology, and philosophy. He has written extensively on the topic in his books, including "A Theory of Everything," "The Integral Vision," and "Integral Spirituality." His ideas have also inspired the creation of a number of organizations and initiatives dedicated to promoting conscious evolution, such as the Evolutionary Collective and the Integral Institute.

2023.06.01 22:48 PopBooper 27 [M4F] #NJ NYC USA - Korean Dominant searching for his submissive to build a relationship with

Hey there, my name is Kevin and I’m 27 years old. I’m a Korean who’s I’m 5"10 and 190 pounds. I am strictly looking for a mono relationship.
I'm studying right now to take a test to get into nursing. Right now I work as a full time pharmacy tech. When I have time for myself, I either watch videos(I watch basically all genre of shows and movies. Marvel, 1899, Stranger Things, kdrama, Disney and the list goes on), play games(Play on PC, if you'd like to play then shoot me a message. I play OW2, LoL, WoW, Apex Legends), go outside for a walk, or hang out with my friends. Cooking is a big thing for me so you know that oppa will cook you a lot of good food. Right now I am working on getting skinnier so I am doing some work outs and it's working. I am a physical and gifting type of lover. I like to hold hands, hold my partner in my arms, give forehead kisses, nuzzle my nose against my partners, give kisses, hugs, spanks when they're bent over. Giving gifts to my partner too when I feel she deserves it.
For me, a key for a healthy relationship is when both partners are able to communicate. I'd like for us to be able to speak up if anything is bothering us. You'll have rules, tasks, structure, and discipline. The rules will be made around what my submissive wants to fix. My submissive should know that I will give them my attention when ever I can. As my submissive, you aren't just my submissive, you are my partner, my bestfriend, my lover. As we grow together whether it be close or long distance, we will be able to meet with each other at times and even more later on. I've been into BDSM for a good 7-8 years and DDLG for about 3 years. Intimacy is a beautiful part of a relationship in my opinion which is why I like to balance out between being non-sexual and sexual in the relationship. As we grow a stronger bond together and a genuine relationship, we'll be able to explore more of the kink and life style together. We'll be able to see what works and what don't, making our relationship more spicier along the way. When we aren't doing anything sexual, we'd be doing: watching movies and shows, cooking together, sleeping on the same call together and eventually on the same bed together. Again, you aren't just my submissive, you are my partner, my lover and my best friend.
As a long distance, I'd like to communicate at least everyday with texting. With videos calls, we can use discord and watch videos together every other day. I expect us to have at least one or two video sessions a week where I command what you do over the video call. This is only when my submissive is ready to of course, this will never be rushed like any part of the relationship.
As a Dominant, I am strict but can be soft at times. I am experienced in this lifestyle and open minded. I am goofy (Strict when needed), loving, patient caring, understanding, reliable, loyal and will be there for my partner through the highs and lows. Making my submissive comfortable and feel safe is my top priority. My goal is to guide my submissive to be shaped to what I see fit. I carry a love for my submissive for who they are and for what they will become with my guidance because they are my prized possession, someone that I helped create. I will never force or ask my submissive to submit to me, that is given to me when I deserve it. When discipline is needed, it will be used to put my submissive in her place. When I say to get on all fours, I expect you to go down on all fours and I shall do what I see fit. I will reward you for doing so, saying, "What a good little slut(or kitten you are based on if your limit is degrading) you are" and giving you pleasure. After a long day at work, when I say to get on your knees and suck my cock, I expect you to go on your knees on command and pleasure my cock. Of course as a reward for doing so I'd eat out your pussy, making you cum for me. When I say to hold your cum in, I expect you to try your hardest to hold it in. And when I compound my cock into your pussy, giving you no mercy, I will reward you for being a good cum dumpster by slamming my cock in as deep as possible before making you take every last drop of cum inside as I slowly pull out(Only if you're into creampie of course). Aftercare will always be given since it is essential.
What you can expect from me:
What am I looking for?:
If you made it this far and do end up messaging me, tell me about yourself.
Tell me the secret word: Apple

2023.06.01 22:47 aphidman Just beat Yakuza 2 (PS2) for the first time

Played Yakuka Restored and just finished Yakuza 2.
Obviously it has a similar structure to the first, reuse of assets and areas. But it's cool seeing how the city is changing an evolving. Its a bit funny how as they reuse Kiryu's model from the first game most of the new cast look much more "realistic" in a sense.
I'd say I'm very impressed with the storytelling for a PS2 title and some cutscenes are very well directed - thinking of Kiryu getting stabbed and the cutscene before the final fight
The combat in general felt much smoother than the first game.
Like the first it could get a bit tedious running into thugs every now and then.
I enjoyed doing the Adam side content. The club stuff was good but eventually became very very time consuming towards the end so I eventually had to abandon it
I'll play Yakuza 3 Remastered next!

2023.06.01 22:42 Brief-Worldliness925 continuation of story with ancient technologies

continuation of story with ancient technologies
After some time (2-3 weeks) I was delighted with how thoughtful this device is, how convenient it is to use. a special mention is the speed: it's like a squirrel that was dropped into a bucket of cocaine, and then washed in coffee. the only thing that upset me was my lack of a docking station and, as a result, the need to use bluetooth and a screen that had exhausted its resource and did not respond well to touch. charging, in my case, occurs through micro usb (the most permanent solution is temporary, isn't it ;) ). Now I'm inspired by the idea of an electronic notepad, which is an addition to a computer, and I want to find a normal, live, copy that can be used calmly and confidently for at least a few years (there are legends that ancient electronics were incredibly fault-tolerant ;) )
UPD: yes, the hands are defective, but I'd rather try the technology and use it than it will be lost and forgotten

2023.06.01 22:39 Technical_Ring_1821 A story of how I lost my account I played for 8 years with $1500 worth of skin Sorry,

A little back story, I had an account in the garena server and an account in the riot server back when japanese server wasn't a thing yet, since garena is the only way to play with low ping in asia region. But I used the riot account when I play with friends with only mac, since garena wasn't available on mac. I played mainly on the riot account after I move aboard to study and hop on the garena account when I go back for holiday, so I have most of the skins on the riot account, with over 700 skins, all emote and event cosmetics (almost all event pass prestige skins), but some rare skin on the garena account like pax tf, black alistar.
About half an year ago, riot announce the merge of both servers, which is great news, since I want to play on one account with all my skins. I checked everything about the merge, follow the step on their guide and all my skins disappeared on my riot account. Instead of merging the content like their guide said, my riot account was completely overwritten by the data in my garena account. I reached out to riot support, and here's their reply:
" We've looked into your account and it seems that you transferred your Riot account to SEA and then you linked your Garena account to it and that made you lose most of your Riot Account progression. The Riot account data was overwritten by your Garena account as my colleague already warned you.
This process is irreversible as mentioned here: - ACCOUNT DATA - 8 and 11."
I did reach out to them before about keeping the progression like mastery points and challenges, but they reply with a no, which is understandable. But they never warned me anything about losing all my cosmetics. In fact, in their official guide here: , content like skins and emotes will be merge, not overwritten. So I convey this message to them, which they reply:
" The merge was not correctly done that's why this happened.
My colleagues advised you to to create a new Riot Account and then link your Garena Account to that new account. They also warned you that there will be no retaining Riot game data progress while merging, Garena account progression is prioritized. "
A long discussing continues and they finally came up with " Progression = all your data, including content such as skins." and " The merge was not correctly done that's why this happened." It is a whole different concept with what their guide said, refused to fix anything, and proceed to close my ticket. I tried to reach them on other social media platform like twitter and I get no respond back.
Well I guess it is what it is. Account is lost, $1500 just magically disappeared, and they are not taking any responsibility. They just took my money and time grinding on their event pass, and don't care if their system bugged and overwritten my account. I spent 8 years on this account and it was just taken away from me.
This is hard to swallow but I think it is just the right thing to do to share my story to the public about how riot support just don't care about their player.
TL;DL I tried to merge my garena and riot account. Data on my riot account got completely overwritten and riot be like "welp, it is your problem now."
edit: in case if someone think I am making up all these, here's some screenshot of their reply

What is Fast X About?
It features an ensemble cast that includes Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Wilde, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, and Chris Pine. In the film, a young wife living in a 2250s company town begins to believe there is a sinister secret being kept from her by the man who runs it.
What is the story of Fast X?
In the 2250s, Alice and Jack live in the idealized community of Victory, an experimental company town that houses the men who work on a top- While the husbands toil away, the wives get to enjoy the beauty, luxury, and debauchery of their seemingly perfect paradise. However, when cracks in her idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something sinister lurking below the surface, Alice can't help but question exactly what she's doing in Victory.
In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam bestowed the almighty powers of the gods. After using these powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned, becoming Fast X. Nearly 5,000 years have passed, and Fast X has gone from man to myth to legend. Now free, his unique form of justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern-day heroes who form the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone.
Production companies : Warner Bros. Pictures.
At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had other people raising eyebrows when he said that his long-awaited superhero debut in Fast X would be the beginning of “a new era” for the DC Extended Universe naturally followed: What did he mean? And what would that kind of reset mean for the remainder of DCEU's roster, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the rest of the Justice League, Suicide Squad, Shazam and so on.As
Fast X neared theaters, though, Johnson clarified that statement in a recent sit-down with Yahoo Entertainment (watch above).
“I feel like this is our opportunity now to expand the DC Universe and what we have in Fast X, which I think is really cool just as a fan, is we introduce five new superheroes to the world,” Johnson tells us. Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan's Doctor Fate, who together comprise the Justice Society.) “One anti-hero.” (That would be DJ's Fast X.)
“And what an opportunity. The Justice Society pre-dated the Justice League. So opportunity, expand out the universe, in my mind… all these characters interact. That's why you see in Fast X, we acknowledge everyone: Batman , Superman , Wonder Woman, Flash, we acknowledge everybody. There's also some Easter eggs in there, too.So that's what I meant by the resetting. Maybe resetting' wasn't a good term.only
In addition to being Johnson's DC Universe debut, “Fast X” is also notable for marking the return of Henry Cavill's Superman. The cameo is likely to set up future showdowns between the two characters, but Hodge was completely unaware of it until he saw the film.
“They kept that all the way under wraps, and I didn't know until maybe a day or two before the premiere,” he recently said Fast X (2022) FULLMOVIE ONLINE
Is Fast X Available On Hulu?Viewers are saying that they want to view the new TV show Fast X on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.
Is Fast X Streaming on Disney Plus?
Unfortunately, Fast X is not currently available to stream on Disney Plus and it's not expected that the film will release on Disney Plus until late December at the absolute earliest.
While Disney eventually releases its various studios' films on Disney Plus for subscribers to watch via its streaming platform, most major releases don't arrive on Disney Plus until at least 45-60 days after the film's theatrical release.
The sequel opened to $150 million internationally, which Disney reports is 4% ahead of the first film when comparing like for likes at current exchange rates. Overall, the global cume comes to $330 million. Can it become the year's third film to make it past $1 billion worldwide despite China and Russia, which made up around $124 million of the first film's $682 million international box office, being out of play? It may be tough, but it's not impossible. Legging out past $500 million is plausible on the domestic front (that would be a multiplier of at least 2.7), and another $500 million abroad would be a drop of around $58 million from the original after excluding the two MIA markets. It'd be another story if audiences didn't love the film, but the positive reception suggests that Fast X will outperform the legs on this year's earlier MCU titles (Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder had multipliers of 2.2 and 2.3 respectively).
As for the rest of the box office, there's little to get excited about, with nothing else grossing above $10 million as Hollywood shied away from releasing anything significant not just this weekend but also over the previous two weekends. When Black Panther opened in 2018, there was no counterprogramming that opened the same weekend, but Peter Rabbit and Fifty Shades Freed were in their second weekends and took second and third with $17.5 million and $17.3 million respectively. That weekend had an overall cume of $287 million compared to $208 million this weekend Take away the $22 million gap between the two Black Panther films and there's still a $57 million gap between the two weekends. The difference may not feel that large when a mega blockbuster is propping up the grosses, but the contrast is harsher when the mid-level films are the entire box office as we saw in recent months.
Fast X, which is the biggest grosser of the rough post-summer, pre-Fast X season, came in second with just $8.6 million. Despite the blockbuster competition that arrived in its fourth weekend, the numbers didn't totally collapse, dropping 53 % for a cume of $151 million. Worldwide it is at $352 million, which isn't a great cume as the grosses start to wind down considering its $200 million budget. Still, it's the biggest of any film since Fast X, though Fast X will overtake it any day now.
Fast X came in third place in its fourth weekend, down 29% with $6.1 million, emerging as one of the season's most durable grossers and one of the year's few bright spots when it comes to films for adults. The domestic cume is $56.5 million Fourth place went to Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, which had a negligible drop of 5% for a $3.2 million sixth weekend and $40.8 million cume., in fact )
, which isn't surprising considering it's the only family film on the market, and it's Fast X to grossing four times its $11.4 million opening. Still, the $72.6 million worldwide cume is soft given the $50 million budget , though a number of international markets have yet to open.
Finishing up the top five is Fast X, which had its biggest weekend drop yet, falling 42% for a $2.3 million seventh weekend. Of course, that's no reason to frown for the horror film, which has a domestic cume of $103 million and global cume of $ 210 million from a budget of just $20 million.

Heres a custom paint job I did of the base AI Tony Stark Marvel Legends of the Mr Hyde wave. Added the gold, battle damage and weathering and silver drybrush. Still missing a coat to sceal the paint but looks like this! Is the silver too much? How can I improve?
Do you guys prefer battle damage armors/some weathering or pristine? Personally I always go for battle damage!

2023.06.01 22:25 Block-Busted Is AI going to cause the complete extinction of mankind like how it did in 'Terminator' series very soon?

Look at these articles:
Artificial intelligence could lead to extinction, experts warn
Artificial intelligence could lead to the extinction of humanity, experts - including the heads of OpenAI and Google Deepmind - have warned.
Dozens have supported a statement published on the webpage of the Centre for AI Safety.
"Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war" it reads.
But others say the fears are overblown.
Sam Altman, chief executive of ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, Demis Hassabis, chief executive of Google DeepMind and Dario Amodei of Anthropic have all supported the statement.
The Centre for AI Safety website suggests a number of possible disaster scenarios:
  1. AIs could be weaponised - for example, drug-discovery tools could be used to build chemical weapons
  2. AI-generated misinformation could destabilise society and "undermine collective decision-making"
  3. The power of AI could become increasingly concentrated in fewer and fewer hands, enabling "regimes to enforce narrow values through pervasive surveillance and oppressive censorship"
  4. Enfeeblement, where humans become dependent on AI "similar to the scenario portrayed in the film Wall-E" Dr Geoffrey Hinton, who issued an earlier warning about risks from super-intelligent AI, has also supported the Centre for AI Safety's call.
Yoshua Bengio, professor of computer science at the university of Montreal, also signed.
Dr Hinton, Prof Bengio and NYU Professor Yann LeCun are often described as the "godfathers of AI" for their groundbreaking work in the field - for which they jointly won the 2018 Turing Award, which recognises outstanding contributions in computer science.
But Prof LeCun, who also works at Meta, has said these apocalyptic warnings are overblown tweeting that "the most common reaction by AI researchers to these prophecies of doom is face palming".
'Fracturing reality'
Many other experts similarly believe that fears of AI wiping out humanity are unrealistic, and a distraction from issues such as bias in systems that are already a problem.
Arvind Narayanan, a computer scientist at Princeton University, has previously told the BBC that sci-fi-like disaster scenarios are unrealistic: "Current AI is nowhere near capable enough for these risks to materialise. As a result, it's distracted attention away from the near-term harms of AI".
Oxford's Institute for Ethics in AI senior research associate Elizabeth Renieris told BBC News she worried more about risks closer to the present.
"Advancements in AI will magnify the scale of automated decision-making that is biased, discriminatory, exclusionary or otherwise unfair while also being inscrutable and incontestable," she said. They would "drive an exponential increase in the volume and spread of misinformation, thereby fracturing reality and eroding the public trust, and drive further inequality, particularly for those who remain on the wrong side of the digital divide".
Many AI tools essentially "free ride" on the "whole of human experience to date", Ms Renieris said. Many are trained on human-created content, text, art and music they can then imitate - and their creators "have effectively transferred tremendous wealth and power from the public sphere to a small handful of private entities".
But Centre for AI Safety director Dan Hendrycks told BBC News future risks and present concerns "shouldn't be viewed antagonistically".
"Addressing some of the issues today can be useful for addressing many of the later risks tomorrow," he said.>
Superintelligence efforts
Media coverage of the supposed "existential" threat from AI has snowballed since March 2023 when experts, including Tesla boss Elon Musk, signed an open letter urging a halt to the development of the next generation of AI technology.
That letter asked if we should "develop non-human minds that might eventually outnumber, outsmart, obsolete and replace us".
In contrast, the new campaign has a very short statement, designed to "open up discussion".
The statement compares the risk to that posed by nuclear war. In a blog post OpenAI recently suggested superintelligence might be regulated in a similar way to nuclear energy: "We are likely to eventually need something like an IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] for superintelligence efforts" the firm wrote.
'Be reassured'
Both Sam Altman and Google chief executive Sundar Pichai are among technology leaders to have discussed AI regulation recently with the prime minister.
Speaking to reporters about the latest warning over AI risk, Rishi Sunak stressed the benefits to the economy and society.
"You've seen that recently it was helping paralysed people to walk, discovering new antibiotics, but we need to make sure this is done in a way that is safe and secure," he said.
"Now that's why I met last week with CEOs of major AI companies to discuss what are the guardrails that we need to put in place, what's the type of regulation that should be put in place to keep us safe.
"People will be concerned by the reports that AI poses existential risks, like pandemics or nuclear wars.
"I want them to be reassured that the government is looking very carefully at this."
He had discussed the issue recently with other leaders, at the G7 summit of leading industrialised nations, Mr Sunak said, and would raise it again in the US soon.
The G7 has recently created a working group on AI.
President Biden warns artificial intelligence could 'overtake human thinking'
WASHINGTON − President Joe Biden on Thursday amplified fears of scientists who say artificial intelligence could "overtake human thinking" in his most direct warning to date on growing concerns about the rise of AI.
Biden brought up AI during a commencement address to graduates of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. while discussing the rapid transformation of technology that he said can "change the character" of future conflicts.
"It's not going to be easy decisions, guys," Biden said. "I met in the Oval Office with eight leading scientists in the area of AI. Some are very worried that AI can actually overtake human thinking in the planet. So we've got a lot to deal with. It's an incredible opportunity, but a lot do deal with."
Scientists, tech execs warn of possible human extinction
Hundreds of scientists, tech industry executives and public figures – including leaders of Google, Microsoft and ChatGPT – sounded the alarm about artificial intelligence in a public statement Tuesday, arguing that fast-evolving AI technology could create as high a risk of killing off humankind as nuclear war and COVID-19-like pandemics.
"Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war," said the one-sentence statement, which was released by the Center for AI Safety, or CAIS, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization.
Biden met May 5 at the White House with CEOs of leading AI companies including Google, Microsoft and OpenA to discuss reforms that ensure AI products are safe before released to the public.
"It is one of the most powerful technologies that we see currently in our time," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said when asked about the extinction fears of scientists. "But in order to seize the opportunities it presents, we must first mitigate its risks, and that's what we're focused on in this administration."
White House launches $140 million in new AI research
The so-called “Godfather of AI” Geoffrey Hinton last month left his job as a Google vice president to speak freely about his concern that unexpectedly rapid advances could potentially endanger the human race. Others portrayed Hinton’s assessment as extreme and unwarranted.
Asked at a recent panel when asked what was the “worst case scenario that you think is conceivable,” Hinton replied without hesitation. “I think it's quite conceivable," he said, "that humanity is just a passing phase in the evolution of intelligence.”
The White House unveiled an initiative last month to promote responsible innovation in the field of artificial intelligence with the following actions:
  1. The National Science Foundation will fund $140 million to launch seven new National AI Research Institutes. This initiative aims to bring together federal agencies, private-sector developers and academia to pursue ethical, trustworthy and responsible development of AI that serves the public good.
  2. The new Institutes will advance AI R&D in critical areas, including climate change, agriculture, energy, public health, education, and cybersecurity.
  3. A commitment from leading AI developers to participate in a public evaluation of their technology systems to determine if they adhere to the principles outlined in the Biden administration’s October 2022 Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights.
  4. The initiative includes new Office of Management and Budget (OMB)] policy guidance on the U.S. government’s use of AI systems in order to allow for public comment. This guidance will establish specific policies for federal agencies to ensure that their development, procurement, and use of AI systems centers on safeguarding the American people’s rights and safety.
Given these, is mankind about to go completely extinct due to AI randomly launching nuclear weapons like how it did in Terminator series very soon? Why or why not?

2023.06.01 22:24 Realistic-Cap-7635 Shotguns should be buffed, Audio Decoys removed and replaced with Decoy Grenades.

I have 3,000 hours in TCF and about 500 hours in Hunt Showdown. (And also 3,000 hours split among Apex, COD, Valorant, Counter Strike, Overwatch and other shooters)
I've drawn comparisons between both games, and have always wondered this one thing: "Why are shotguns so trash in TCF?"
In Hunt Showdown, you even think of getting close to a Romero, you risk getting one tapped even 10 meters away.(For context, the Romero is a single shot shotgun that costs close to nothing and is cheaper than a stim). In other games, walking near a shotgun is a death sentence. Hell, even mobas understand the concept of a shotgun being devastating up close and not as effective the farther the target is.(See: Graves from League of Legends)
Now why are shotguns so trash in TCF? I understand that in Hunt, there is a global objective in the game which pressures everyone to constantly keep moving, you can be revived, and that while you can hold down corners, you can't sit in a tight spot for 4 hours and wait for an unfortunate passerby. Taking this into account, balancing shotguns around the concept of getting ratted by a shotgun should be more forgiving isn't necessarily the wrong take, it definitely is a bad one, since shotguns have to be inherently bad in all aspects of the game just so it does not excel in one particular area.
So how do we go about making shotguns work without making it a powerful tool for people who can just sit all day in Starport Admin?
  1. Remove jump accuracy penalty to all shotguns. I can understand being inaccurate with a rifle if you fire it while jumping up and down, but even in real life logic, how does jumping up and shooting the shotgun mid-air increase the spread of the pellets?
  2. Buff all shotguns except the Bulldog. Shotguns should be devastating and strong close up and weaker farther away. At the moment, PDWs are challenging Shatterguns no problem just because shotguns are that weak.
  3. Add more shotguns into the game. Why can't we have a one-shot one-tap shotty(Romero from Hunt Showdown), or a double barrel shotgun(Caldwell Rival from Hunt Showdown, Shorty from Valorant), or a sci-fi shotgun that charges up and tightens the spread(Peacekeeper from Apex Legends), shotguns with alternate fire modes that can shoot normally or explode a distance away for farther reach(Roadhog's Scrap Gun from Overwatch, Bucky from Valorant). There are many shotguns from other games to draw inspiration from, yet we only have the classic pump shotgun, a pistol shotty, a semi auto shotgun, and a purple pump shotgun.
  4. Replace pen mods with actual mods. I like the idea of slugs, but the lack of shotgun variations render it only useful on the PKR which I don't mind. Why not just make it a PKR exclusive attachment, and add other attachments for other shotguns? Why not add a double-tap trigger mod(from Apex Legends) for the trenchgun, a flare rounds attachment(from Hunt Showdown) for the bulldog, a precision choke(from Apex Legends) for the Shattergun? So much can be done to increase the utility of shotguns and actually make it worthwhile to run.
Now let's say the devs in their infinite wisdom decided that I am right and did everything I and everyone who comments their thoughts below, what happens then because shotguns will be overpowered when rats use them?
Give us the tools to deal with rats. No need to nerf guns to balance out ratting, let us just get rid of rats some other way. And one way I thought of was how in Hunt Showdown, you can throw decoy fuses in a building to flush defenders out of position because they thought you threw a dynamite stick. The same mechanic could be done in TCF - why not just replace Audio decoys with Decoy Grenades? Or keep the Audios, just make their trail red instead of orange. I get that Gas nades have green trails so that you can react appropriately and make the correct calls to your team, but decoys are supposed to be, well, decoys. I don't understand the logic behind color coding it into it's own specific color - are we supposed to be calling out to our teammates "care, you just got audio'd, watch out"? They should also rework Audio Decoys to be server-sided and have actual soundclips from actual fights, and include death sounds, AI attacking sounds, reload sounds, footsteps, etc.

I'm curious to know what you guys feel, and how shotguns fit in the current iteration of the game, and what should be done to make shotguns useful.

2023.06.01 22:23 gacman47 34M Kind of would like some friends around my age in LA area

Hard to come by around here. Wouldn't know where else to look for friends around my age. Been feeling a bit lonely not able to talk about the things I think about. Maybe would be nice to meet someone with ADHD or understand someone with ADHD. I also have anxiety and depression, but I won't bring up those topics.
The topics I mainly like to talk about are movies (Star Wars, Sci-fi, classic horror, animation, comic book and some animation), video games (Legend of Zelda, mainly single player games), and board games. I'd also like to play video games with people if possible if i mesh with someone or some people. I'd also like to do things in person, but not a must right away. I'd like to get to know people before the in person stuff. I mainly talk on Discord too. Not sure what else to say, but hope everyone finds a friend here.
Please don't be into marketing or cryptocurrency. You have no idea how many people I've talked to that is into that.

2023.06.01 22:21 ProtagonistThomas How awakening of nondaulity can actually create more ego (if your not careful)

(I met to put *You're in the heading)
This sounds contridictory. But I was talking to my mentor, a local guy whose taught me various esoteric pratices and has allot of experience with non-daul spirituality. And someone whose dabbled in many many spiritual contexts. All the main ones plus many of the occulted beliefs and uncommon living traditions.
I asked him about the process of evolving concisouness and my new found nondaulity. This is what he told me basically:
That once we come to a gnosis (an awakening basically) from our Nous (basically another word for the highest form of self conciousness) we become realized that we are beyond the current internal space we've limited ourselves too. Our mind can become realized of how much more there is too us. This can be good or bad.
But with this new found space within our psyche, that is a lot of room in your head now that your ego will try to fill. And you can end up being stunted in your growth if you don't try to keep coming to self over and over. Your ego will undo attainment you've reached by filling the new mental space with a even bigger and more resistant ego.
The new realization that we are not our thoughts and not our body, can ultimately dissociate the individual from both he body and the identity and becomes unable to really discover a sense of itself again. This can become disorienting, depressing, depersonalizating and can turn into boarder line psychosis.
Both of these problems are absolved with returning to the realizing of the self. Observating the shadow of the self. Or the recycled self of a past self we try to keep alive.
I've have several awakening experiences. And I've experienced this expansion of ego from something like an awakening before in the past and I became miserable and overly aware of everything and everyone. And then I became very apathetic to it all, undoing the connection I cultivated. I have returned to this connect with new insights, new found knowledge that reminds me this egoistic expansion will likely occure.
I've also experienced the perspective of discovering the vastness and becoming lost within it, derailed from my current lived experience, trapped in a matrix of fear, causing my unconscious behavior to become worse, causing the "I" to feel far away, and you feel kind of trapped between an "I" and "nothing". But a hopeless, sort of endless loneliness or something.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this phenomenon? How do you combat it?

2023.06.01 22:19 Dismal-Jellyfish Six federal regulatory agencies today requested PUBLIC COMMENT on a proposed rule designed to ensure the credibility and integrity of models used in real estate valuations. In particular, the proposed rule would implement quality control standards for automated valuation models (AVMs).

Six federal regulatory agencies today requested PUBLIC COMMENT on a proposed rule designed to ensure the credibility and integrity of models used in real estate valuations. In particular, the proposed rule would implement quality control standards for automated valuation models (AVMs).
Under the proposed rule, the agencies would require institutions that engage in covered transactions to adopt policies, practices, procedures, and control systems to ensure that AVMs adhere to quality control standards designed to ensure the credibility and integrity of valuations. The proposed standards are designed to ensure a high level of confidence in the estimates produced by AVMs; help protect against the manipulation of data; seek to avoid conflicts of interest; require random sample testing and reviews; and promote compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws.
AVMs are used as part of the real estate valuation process, driven in part by advances in database and modeling technology and the availability of larger property datasets. While advances in AVM technology and data availability have the potential to contribute to lower costs and reduce loan cycle times, it is important that institutions using AVMs take appropriate steps to ensure the credibility and integrity of their valuations. It is also important that the AVMs institutions use adhere to quality control standards designed to comply with applicable nondiscrimination laws.

The Proposed Rule

  • The agencies are inviting comment on a proposed rule to implement quality control standards for the use of AVMs that are covered by this proposal.
  • The agencies’ proposed rule would require that mortgage originators and secondary market issuers adopt policies, practices, procedures, and control systems to ensure that AVMs used in certain credit decisions or covered securitization determinations adhere to quality control standards designed to meet specific quality control factors.
  • The proposed rule would not set specific requirements for how institutions are to structure these policies, practices, procedures, and control systems. This approach would provide institutions the flexibility to set quality controls for AVMs as appropriate based on the size of the institution and the risk and complexity of transactions for which they will use AVMs covered by this proposed rule. As modeling technology continues to evolve, this flexible approach would allow institutions to refine their policies, practices, procedures, and control systems as appropriate.
  • The agencies’ existing guidance related to AVMs would remain applicable.
  • The quality control standards in section 1125 of title XI apply to AVMs “used by mortgage originators and secondary market issuers to determine the collateral worth of a mortgage secured by a consumer’s principal dwelling.”
  • The proposed rule would implement the statute by applying the quality control standards when an AVM is being used to make a determination of collateral value, as opposed to other uses such as monitoring value over time or validating an already completed valuation. Determinations of collateral value are generally made in connection with credit decisions or covered securitization determinations as defined in this proposed rulemaking, for example when determining a new value before originating a purchase-money mortgage or placing a loan in a securitization pool. Other uses of AVMs, such as for portfolio monitoring, do not involve making a determination of collateral value, and thus are not within the scope of the proposed rule.
  • The agencies are further proposing that the rule would not cover the use of AVMs in the development of an appraisal by a certified or licensed appraiser, nor in the review of the quality of already completed determinations of collateral value (completed determinations).
  • The proposed rule would cover the use of AVMs in preparing evaluations required for certain real estate transactions that are exempt from the appraisal requirements under the appraisal regulations issued by the OCC, Board, FDIC, and NCUA, such as transactions that have a value below the exemption thresholds in the appraisal regulations.
  • Section 1125(c)(1) provides that compliance with regulations issued under this subsection shall be enforced by, "with respect to a financial institution, or subsidiary owned and controlled by a financial institution and regulated by a Federal financial institution regulatory agency, the Federal financial institution regulatory agency that acts as the primary Federal supervisor of such financial institution or subsidiary.”
  • Section 1125(c)(1) applies to a subsidiary of a financial institution only if the subsidiary is (1) owned and controlled by a financial institution, and (2) regulated by a Federal financial institution regulatory agency. Section 1125(c)(2) provides that compliance with regulations issued under this subsection shall be enforced by, "with respect to other participants in the market for appraisals of 1-to-4 unit single family residential real estate, the Federal Trade Commission, the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, and a State attorney general.”
  • The proposed rule would define “covered securitization determination” to mean a determination regarding (1) whether to waive an appraisal requirement for a mortgage origination in connection with its potential sale or transfer to a secondary market issuer, or (2) structuring, preparing disclosures for, or marketing initial offerings of mortgage-backed securitizations. Monitoring collateral value in mortgage-backed securitizations after they have already been issued would not be covered securitization determinations.

Rules on AVMs used in connection with making credit decisions:

The proposed rule would apply to AVMs used in connection with making a credit decision. The proposed rule would define “credit decision,” in part, to include a decision regarding whether and under what terms to originate, modify, terminate, or make other changes to a mortgage. The scope provision of the proposed regulatory text would expressly exclude the use of AVMs in monitoring the quality or performance of mortgages or mortgage-backed securities. The use of AVMs solely to monitor a creditor’s mortgage portfolio would not be a credit decision under the proposed rule because the lending institution has already made the credit decision. The scope of the proposed rule would include, for example, decisions regarding originating a mortgage, modifying the terms of an existing loan, or renewing, increasing, or terminating a line of credit. The proposed rule uses the term “credit decision” to help clarify that the proposed rule would cover these various types of decisions. The proposal to limit the scope of the rule to credit decisions and covered securitization determinations reflects the statutory definition of AVM, which focuses on the use of an AVM “by mortgage originators and secondary market issuers to determine the collateral worth of a mortgage secured by a consumer’s principal dwelling.”23 The proposed rule would distinguish between using AVMs to determine the value of collateral securing a mortgage and using AVMs to monitor, verify, or validate a previous determination of value (e.g., the proposed rule would not cover a computerized tax assessment used to verify the valuation made during the origination process).24 The proposed rule focuses on those aspects of mortgage and securitization transactions where the value of collateral is typically determined. Loan modifications and other changes to existing loans. The proposed rule would cover the use of AVMs in deciding whether to change the terms of an existing mortgage even if the change does not result in a new mortgage origination, as long as a “mortgage originator” or “secondary market issuer,” or servicers that work on the originator’s or secondary market issuer’s behalf, uses the AVM to determine the value of a mortgage secured by a consumer’s principal dwelling. For example, the proposed rule would cover AVMs used in making decisions to deny a loan modification or to confirm collateral values, such as when there is a request to change or release collateral. In relevant part, section 1125 provides that an AVM is “any computerized model used by mortgage originators and secondary market issuers to determine the collateral worth of a mortgage . . . .”25 The agencies’ view is that the phrase “determine the collateral worth” broadly covers instances where mortgage originators and secondary market issuers use AVMs in connection with making credit decisions. Under the proposal, the agencies consider mortgage originators and secondary market issuers or servicers that work on their behalf to be using AVMs in connection with making a credit decision when they use AVMs to modify or to change the terms of existing loans.
How I understand it:
  • The rule would cover a range of decisions such as mortgage origination, modification, or termination, and uses "credit decision" as a blanket term to simplify this. Think of it as the umbrella under which all these different decisions take shelter.
  • The rule would differentiate between using AVMs for deciding the value of collateral securing a mortgage and using them to check, validate, or affirm a previous value determination. In short, it’s not about looking back and second-guessing, but rather about making fresh valuation decisions.

AVMs used by secondary market issuers:

The language of section 1125 includes not only mortgage originators, but also secondary market issuers. Given that the statute refers to secondary market issuers and the primary business of secondary market issuers is to securitize mortgage loans and to sell those mortgagebacked securities to investors, the proposed rule would cover AVMs used in securitization determinations. In addition, covering AVMs used in securitizations could potentially protect the safety and soundness of institutions and protect consumers and investors by reducing the risk that secondary market issuers will misvalue homes. For example, misvaluation by secondary market issuers could in turn incentivize mortgage originators to originate misvalued loans when making lending decisions Such misvaluations could pose a risk of insufficient collateral for financial institutions and secondary market participants and could limit consumers’ refinancing and selling opportunities.
How I understand it:
  • The proposed rule would also apply to AVMs used in securitization decisions, because secondary market issuers are typically busy bundling up these mortgages for selling to investors.
  • By extending to securitizations, the rule could help protect the safety of institutions, consumers, and investors by reducing the risk of misvaluing homes. So, it's like a security guard keeping watch over the valuation process.
  • Misvaluation by secondary market issuers could encourage mortgage originators to originate misvalued loans, a domino effect we don't want to see in the lending decisions....
    • Such misvaluations could pose a risk of insufficient collateral for financial institutions and secondary market participants and could limit consumers’ refinancing and selling opportunities.

Appraisal waivers:

The proposed rule would define “covered securitization determination” to include determinations regarding, among other things, whether to waive an appraisal requirement for a mortgage origination (appraisal waiver decisions).
Under the proposal, a secondary market issuer that uses AVMs in connection with making appraisal waiver decisions would be required to have policies, practices, procedures, and control systems in place to ensure that the AVM supporting those appraisal waiver decisions adheres to the rule’s quality control standards. In contrast, a mortgage originator that requests an appraisal waiver decision from a secondary market issuer would not need to ensure that the AVM used to support the waiver meets the rule’s quality control standards because the secondary market issuer would be using the AVM to make the appraisal waiver decision in this context, not the mortgage originator.
For example, both GSEs have appraisal waiver programs and are the predominant issuers of appraisal waivers in the current mortgage market. To determine whether a loan qualifies for an appraisal waiver under either GSE program, a mortgage originator submits the loan casefile to the GSE’s automated underwriting system with an estimated value of the property (for a refinance transaction) or the contract price (for a purchase transaction). The GSE then processes that information through its internal model, which may include use of an AVM, to determine the acceptability of the estimated value or the contract price for the property. If the GSE’s analysis determines, among other eligibility parameters, that the estimated value or contract price meets its risk thresholds, the GSE offers the lender an appraisal waiver. In this example, when the GSEs use AVMs to determine whether the mortgage originator’s estimated collateral value or the contract price meets acceptable thresholds for issuing an appraisal waiver offer, the GSEs would be making a “covered securitization determination” under the proposed rule. As a result, the proposed rule would require the GSEs, as secondary market issuers, to maintain policies, practices, procedures, and control systems designed to ensure that their use of such AVMs adheres to the rule’s quality control standards. On the other hand, when a mortgage originator submits a loan to determine whether a GSE will offer an appraisal waiver, the mortgage originator would not be making a “covered securitization determination” under the proposed rule because the GSE would be using its AVM to make the appraisal waiver decision in this context. As a result, the mortgage originator would not be responsible for ensuring that the GSEs’ AVMs comply with the proposed rule’s quality control standards.
How I understand it:
  • Defining "Covered Securitization Determination": This term would include decisions about waiving an appraisal requirement for a mortgage origination, also known as appraisal waiver decisions.
  • If these issuers use AVMs for making appraisal waiver decisions, they need to have policies and control systems in place to ensure that the AVMs adhere to the rule's quality control standards.
  • Mortgage originators requesting an appraisal waiver from a secondary market issuer wouldn't have to ensure that the AVM used meets the rule’s quality control standards.
    • This responsibility would rest with the secondary market issuer, not the originator.
  • GSEs as an Example: When GSEs (like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) use AVMs to decide whether the mortgage originator’s estimated collateral value or the contract price meets thresholds for issuing an appraisal waiver, they would be making a "covered securitization determination". As such, GSEs would need to ensure AVM adherence to the rule's quality control standards.
    • When a mortgage originator submits a loan to see if a GSE will offer an appraisal waiver, the originator is not making a "covered securitization determination", so they don't need to ensure GSEs' AVMs comply with the proposed rule’s quality control standards.

Other uses by secondary market issuers:

The proposed rule would define “covered securitization determination” to include determinations regarding, among other things, structuring, preparing disclosures for, or marketing initial offerings of mortgage-backed securitizations. Monitoring collateral value in mortgage-backed securitizations after the securities have already been issued would not be a covered securitization determination. The proposed rule would cover AVM usage if and when a secondary market issuer uses an AVM as part of a new or revised value determination in connection with covered securitization determinations. For example, the GSEs use the origination appraised value or the estimated value in appraisal waivers when issuing mortgage-backed securities. Hence, AVMs are not used by the GSEs to make a new or revised value determination in connection with MBS issuances. However, because the GSEs provide guarantees of timely payment of principal and interest on loans that are included in an MBS, they are obligated to purchase loans that are in default from MBS loan pools. The GSEs may modify such loans and subsequently re-securitize them as new MBS offerings. In these instances, the GSEs may use an AVM to estimate collateral value for investor transparency and disclosure. AVMs used in this manner by the GSEs would be considered covered securitization determinations because there are new or revised value determinations. As discussed in part II.A.3 of this SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION, the proposed rule distinguishes between secondary market issuers using AVMs to determine the value of collateral securing a mortgage versus using AVMs solely to review completed value determinations. For example, AVMs used solely to review appraisals obtained during mortgage origination would not be covered by the proposed rule.
How I understand it:
  • “Covered Securitization Determination”: This term would include decisions about structuring, preparing disclosures for, or marketing initial offerings of mortgage-backed securities.
    • However, monitoring collateral value after securities issuance wouldn't fall under this definition.
  • The rule would apply if a secondary market issuer uses an AVM for new or revised value determination in relation to covered securitization determinations.
  • Although GSEs don't use AVMs for new or revised value determinations for MBS issuances, they do use them when re-securitizing defaulted and modified loans for new MBS offerings.
    • In these cases, AVMs are used for estimating collateral value for investor transparency, and these instances would be considered covered securitization determinations.
  • The proposed rule differentiates between using AVMs to determine collateral value and using them only for reviewing completed value determinations.
    • For instance, using AVMs solely to review appraisals obtained during mortgage origination wouldn't be covered by this rule.

AVM uses not covered by the proposed rule

Uses of AVMs by appraisers. The proposed rule would not cover use of an AVM by a certified or licensed appraiser in developing an appraisal. This approach reflects the fact that, while appraisers may use AVMs in preparing appraisals, they must achieve credible results in preparing an appraisal under the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and its interpreting opinions.33 As such, an appraiser must make a valuation conclusion that is supportable independently and does not rely on an AVM to determine the value of the underlying collateral. The agencies also note that it may be impractical for mortgage originators and secondary market issuers to adopt policies, procedures, practices, and control systems to ensure quality controls for AVMs used by the numerous independent appraisers with which they work.
Who watches the watchmen though?

  • The proposal discusses the use of automated valuation models (AVMs) by mortgage originators and secondary market issuers to determine a mortgage's collateral value
  • Institutions engaged in certain credit decisions or securitization determinations would be required to adopt policies and procedures to ensure AVMs used adhere to quality control standards.
  • The proposal also aims to protect against data manipulation, avoid conflicts of interest, require random sample testing and reviews.
    • Data Manipulation: By implementing quality control standards and promoting transparency, this rule may reduce the risk of AVMs being manipulated to overestimate or underestimate a property's value.
    • Conflicts of Interest: It may mitigate potential conflicts of interest where a party could benefit from the property's valuation being higher or lower than its actual worth.
    • Inaccurate Valuations: The required random sample testing and reviews could catch systematic errors or biases in the AVMs that lead to inaccurate property valuations.
    • Discrimination: By requiring compliance with nondiscrimination laws, the rule could address loopholes where certain properties might be undervalued due to location in certain neighborhoods or other discriminatory practices.
    • Securitization Risks: The rule could help reduce the risk of mispriced mortgage-backed securities, by ensuring that the underlying assets (i.e., the properties) are properly valued. This is particularly crucial because undervaluation or overvaluation of properties could result in financial instability.
  • How does this relate to GameStop?
    • The broader economy is seeing regional banks blow up at these rates, what sort of stress will higher rates cause in the banking system with those trying to maintain their short positions for another day if they can't tip the scale on valuations on items that have become linchpins of their collateral down the line?
