However, I am also a down-to-earth realist, and I am not seeing any of that sort of thing anymore. We need to learn how to anticipate contact and how to avoid it. If there are still visitors out there who have something good to bring us, they’ll find their own way, I feel sure. But right now what we’ve got to deal with is awful, and the key to doing this is avoidance.
If we were not able to avoid them, they wouldn’t need to sneak up on us as they do. So knowledge matters. Social agreement matters. But our best tools, the government with all its various resources and the scientific community with its ability to explore and gather information, have been denied tous by a process of clever social control, or possibly for good reason, as discussed above, by the government itself.
Most abduction researchers offer no help, or `help’ that’s actually worse than nothing. Being told that it’s horrible and there’s nothing to be done except wait for `disclosure’ that will never come doesn’t help. It freezes us and tells us we are impotent until and if our captured or neutered government acts. Being told idiotic things like we made an “agreement” of some sort with the visitors “on the soul level” to go through this is shameful and childish rubbish.
On a frank, physical level, the only things that I know help are two:

1. Stay in heavily populated areas, especially at night.
2. Move every few years. In recent years, Anne and I have moved seventimes, and we are typical of witnesses. However, running is ultimately not ananswer.

Being informed helps. Knowing the signs of possible visitor involvement in a given area helps.
What are these signs? Listen to the interview with Kenny Young. All the signs are present in this case. The first is the presence of UFOs in the area. The visitors often, but not always, make their presence known in this way, perhaps because they cannot conceal the craft, or do not care to.
They know that the media won’t provide useful information about their presence. Another way to find out is to visit the National UFO Reporting Center often. This isn’t a perfect system, but its the best we have.
The second sign is if you should notice any manifestations around you. If you actually see a UFO, for example. Or if your area suddenly becomes extremely quiet. Birds and animals stop, insects stop. An eerie silence falls. If this is followed by an eruption of animal sounds-dogs howling and barking, cats pacing, wildlife squalling, it means that the visitors are on the ground.
Personally, I would stay awake and together in a lighted room. Don’t venture out. Don’t express any interest in them. And if there is the least sign of their presence near you- knocking on walls, sudden shadows flashing about in the house, your pets becoming agitated-do not go to sleep no matterhow sleepy you get. Fight it. Turn on music, the TV, make phone calls. And don’t go to sleep in the predawn. The hours from three until sunrise are favorite contact times. Stay awake until well after dawn, when the world is active again.
Ultimately, as a species, we have no escape from this. Even if the government were to announce that the visitors were entirely real, and publish all it knows about them, and do everything it possibly could now or in any conceivable future to free us from them, we would not succeed in escaping them.In fact, no amount of struggle is going to dislodge them.
Maybe not from the world, anyway. But from your life-yes. You can help yourself. It is not only about avoiding encounter, it is about coping on a personal as well as a social level.
As to the question, `why have the visitors changed,’ maybe they haven’t. Look at what’s happened from another perspective. What if astronauts from earth discovered another world. Perhaps, for a time, strict rules of contact that respected the native population would be observed. Maybe, though, in time, those rules would be relaxed, especially as travel to the new world became easier and cheaper.
Exploitative people would arrive, people carrying their religious and ideological agendas. These would be lesser people than the noble astronauts-believers and fanatics intent on imposing their fantasies on the helpless aliens. Then there would be those seeking resources of some kind, who wantedresults and didn’t care how they got them. And there would be the evil, the sadists, the scum.
For whatever reason, I think we have been left to the exploiters and the scum. Who knows? Maybe the good guys gave up or lost a war. Maybe those of us who got good treatment were simply being deceived.
The point is, we must always approach this from a practical standpoint, and at the present time, contact is awful and dangerous. If the visitors want it to be different, then they need to find a way to change it. For our part, we must seek to find the good in our own souls, and let the dark presence that slips along the paths of the night know that we know it is there, and we will do everything we can to avoid it.
My journal entries get a lot of comment, and for that I am so grateful to you. Some of it is quite, quite wise, and I thought that this, from a knowledgeable abductee, is particularly valuable. Take it to heart.
In your recent journal entry, “Shedding Light on the Dark Side,” you advise people who suspect visitors are present to: “…I would stay awake and together in a lighted room. Killkill shrugs. Through the recording on Helice’s mask, Kojot’s hand twitches. “How long have you done the drugs?” Another shrug. “I simply wish to know if you are off peak condition.”
Killkill stops in the middle of the street and glares down at his manager. The puny Siberian looks straight ahead. “All become losers at some point, Mr. Holm. I just wanted to know when you became one.” The pitfighter lays a hand on her shoulders. Kojot does not change her gaze. “I respect fighter who loses, Mr. Holm. You have been that for long time. But, I do not respect loser who fights. Be sure you know difference.”
Killkill walks away, his hands shaking, his shoulders tense, his step heavy. He pushes past Helice and fades into the darkness; Kojot calls out: “Remember that you have match in IWF. I do not want to see loser in ring, Mr. Holm.”
As Kojot walks back to the hotel with eyes straight ahead, she rounds a corner, and a man with a switchblade emerges from darkness. The knife lays upon her throat, but before he can even lay a threat, she twists the arm until something makes a noise it shouldn’t. Kojot marches away. I live in a large apartment building with about 520 units, in a U.S. city with rent controls. The property is managed by a well-known PM company, with a history of reducing services and evicting tenants unjustly. We have a tenant association, a 501(c)(4), with membership standing at 8% of the tenants. I am a member and also serve as a tenant rep on the board. I got invited to the board after reporting issues on Nextdoor and being involved in tenants' rights previously.
During my first board meeting, we discussed a plan proposed by the PM about packages left in the mailroom for more than two days -- they would be returned to sender on the third day. The plan provided arrangements for holding packages when tenants are on vacation. The board was about to vote in favor of recommending to the PM that they implement the plan when I intervened to discuss the issues. One major concern was that the tenant board was giving permission to the landlord to take possession of tenant property without consent. The meeting ended without a vote, and I investigated further- called a USPS cop, a PD detective, the city's tenant union organizers, and a tenant lawyer. It became clear that the plan's actions would be illegal, including federal crimes for USPS packages. What happens when irreplaceable items are "lost in the mail" after being returned to sender? Grandmas ashes, artwork, etc. Many older folks in this building, people who aren't quick to pick up packages, but it shouldn't be treated as a crime.
At the next board meeting, I presented ten points with law and case citations, pointing up the severe legal hazards of implementing the plan. Throughout, other board members interrupted me, shouted at me, basically taking the landlord's side! Eventually, the truth prevailed, and they voted against recommending the plan. I was even invited to present my findings to the PM's general manager, which led to the plan being canceled, and instead they expanded the mailroom.
That pattern with the board has repeated itself on several major issues:
Lease renewal: The property management company is sending spurious 12-month "renewal agreement" letters to tenants, even though local law dictates that leases automatically renew on a month-to-month basis after the initial period. The letters are deceptively worded, potentially misleading tenants into believing they must move out if they don't sign. Despite raising my concerns, the board president dismissed the issue, instead personally attacking me for asking if she had spoken with the PM about it (she then admitted to "working on it with them.") I am seeking advice from tenant organizations and tenant attorneys. I emailed the board, recommending we oppose the letters and request the landlord to stop sending them, but received no response.
Intercom system: The board president announced that only leaseholders' names would be entered into the new video intercom system. I pointed out obvious flaws with this approach, situations where leaseholders are not present but their guests or roommates require access. The president dismissed these concerns by referring to roommates as "illegals." WTF?! I argued against this stance, mentioning tenants who follow the law by adding legally-allowed roommates, or partners who are not required to be on the lease. However, the issue remains unresolved, with the PM's general manager also telling me that unnamed occupants are "illegals" and vaguely hinted at evictions.
Removal of deck furniture: The property management company removed all deck furniture from the roof decks after an act of vandalism. I told the board that this was a reduction in services and proposed requesting a rent reduction. No response.
Reduction of door attendant hours: at one time there were three shifts, 24/7. Now there's one 7 hour shift. Major reduction in service with no corresponding rent reduction. No response from the board.
It seems that I am the only board member paying attention to tenant issues. The rest of the board focuses on organizing monthly parties for tenants, with some parties exclusively for the board members. I researched and discovered that the landlord had won a major, precedent-setting court case against the association about 15 years ago, which has led the current board into placating the landlord. This has created a situation akin to Stockholm Syndrome, where they are more concerned about the landlord's well-being than tenant needs. The president often praises the PM's manager, despite the many problems they create. The board passively and actively resist requests to the landlord for changes. I am probably viewed by them as a Karen.
Current tenant members seem to view the association as a social organization. Former members have expressed disappointment, saying that the association doesn't help them with landlord issues, so they quit.
I am not well-versed in the laws governing 501(c)(4) organizations, or the actions I can take to force a change in the board. Logic doesn't land well on them, and as a group they just aren't gonna change.
I'd appreciate any helpful hints and ideas.

In 2019 an incidental stroke was seen on a CT, after multiple tests it was put down to high blood pressure. In 2021 Docs put a linq loop recorder to check for signs of AF, none was seen but asystole pauses were noted. Follow up tests of:
Sleep study normal and ruled out sleep apnea.
ECG showed sinus rhythm with normal morphology, normal intervals, MRI essentially normal with borderline evidence of any late GAD enhancement.
Echocardiogram normal, Stress echo basically normally but showed some extra beats? During exercise so am 24 holter was ordered which was normal.
An MDT happened and it was deemed likely not vasovagal as there was no preceding bradycardia.
Can anyone explain the cause of these heart pauses. Every test has been essentially normal and I have no symptoms during times of pauses.

Hi everyone. First time posting here, but looking for some other opinions.
Got a 3-year old Aracauna, she's been healthy ever since we got her right through to last Tuesday. That Tuesday, I noticed her in the house, rasping and bringing up brown liquid. This was clearly a crop problem, so she was quarantined, kept off food, and we very carefully massaged her and expelled the remaining material from her crop before continued isolation, very gradually weaning her onto water diliuted with ACV and then eventually small amounts of food. By about last Friday she seemed virtually back to normal and was eating and drinking normally with the rest of the flock.
Then on Sunday, I noticed she suddenly seemed very lethargic. Her movement is wobbly, she sits down a lot, very much lacking in energy. Waggling her tail quite a bit. Rest of the flock are absolutely fine, nothing wrong with them at all. Her comb and wattle are still pretty red, she is eating and drinking, albiet not with the same levels of enthusiasm as a healthy hen would. Haven't particularly noticed her poop much, but no sign of any bloody/worm-filled poop anywhere. No sign of any skin damage or lesions, both of her feet seem fine.
I've tried adding vitamin supplements to her water, my current theory is a bound egg?
Tried a warm bath with epsom salts today, no result yet. It's been 4 days now since this lethargic state started. She's not noticeably going downhill, but also not really recovering either. Short of a trip to a vet (which we cannot afford), has anyone got any ideas?

I am a male, who was in a relationship for 15 years with a female "Lucy" (not her real name).
The TLDR:
I was in a long intense relationship in which I discovered long-standing betrayals of unusual magnitude and complexity. My mind had to process so many memories from good, but untrue, to terrible, but true, that my mind shattered like glass into 1000's of pieces that then burned like wildfire for five months day and night, without pause, as my mind had to process terrible epiphany after epiphany of all the events I had to reinterpret.
Turns out my girlfriend has one of the personality disorders where she can live contradictory lives, and expertly lie with out lying. I.e. she believes whatever she says when she says it, so normal clues of dishonesty simply are not there.
The question:
Is there a name for a trauma where so many deceptions are uncovered, so deeply intertwined in life over a long period, that the mind breaks up and has to process an overwhelming number of disturbing epiphanies day and night for months before it is able to start dealing with what happened?
The timeline:
For the first 11 years we lived two hours apart. It was a wonderfully intense relationship in which we were always happy to see each other, travelled often, constantly did things together and with my friends (who became her friends), spent uncountable nights talking till late hours, etc.
About five years into our relationship, Lucy trusted me enough to open up about bad behaviors in her past and shared that she thought she was a "bad" person. Before me, she had only had short relationships, cheated on every relationship, and stopped caring about each guy so suddenly and coldly that they were all badly hurt, and one of the guys couldn't make sense of it and killed himself.
Since our relationship had always gone extremely intensely well, and she was dealing with her past directly, I thought it was a good sign she was outgrowing past immaturity and irresponsibility.
I also flattered myself that my kind but assertive personality, interesting work, fitness, personality, etc., had given the relationship a longevity that helped her get past her bad patterns. You know, maybe I was special.
And that is how things played out for 11 years.
At that point my work arrangement had become too restrictive, bureaucracy and other factors of partners were leading me into a dead end. So I quit that work and moved closer to Lucy, also closer to universities that would be good for future career moves.
I assumed that seeing each other more than once or twice a week would be wonderful. But Lucy expressed some worries about my not having my interesting job, and her not having her regular escape from town that our long distance situation had provided. Even though we would still travel.
These didn't seem like problems we couldn't adapt to, to me, so I moved down.
Pretty soon Lucy began to disengage a bit. Not a huge difference, but noticeable. We still had good times, but we also spent many nights talking about relationships, and whether the romance or love ever really lasted. For me it did, she wasn't so sure.
But things were stable, and between travel, friends and family we seemed to be doing well. Just not as well.
At the thirteenth year, the distance between us began to grow more. But we had intense discussions, spent lots of time seeming to work on our relationship. But slowly but surely she began to behave erratically. She acknowledged it, and we "worked" on things, but things got crazy. Whole trips with family she would turn hateful and cold, then back again to warm and loving. She never stopped trying to work on things with me, as far as I knew.
At the end of year 15, I happened to overhear her talking as I arrived to go out with her. It was obvious she had another boyfriend I knew nothing about. Then things began unwinding fast.
For two months, I loved her so much I tried convincing her to hit pause and get counseling, but she wouldn't, so I gave up. But revelation after revelation came in. There wasn't one boyfriend, but a few, and then it wasn't the last few months, but a full two years of dozens of relationships, and regular gang bangs with local guys at my vacation home, on and on and on.
Since out relationship was so intense this seemed impossible. But I learned that virtually every interaction we had for the previous two and more years had been deeply dishonest. Money I gave her to help students afford to go on field trips (she was an elementary school teacher) went to liquor for parties. The guy who asked her to dance at a bar that I assumed was a stranger, and seemed a little surprised I was trusting for her to dance. 100's if not 1000's of little incidents changed their meaning. Nights of being sick were obviously spent otherwise.
The high level of time spent and intensity of talks and other interactions we had, now represented an astounding web of lies and deception, beyond anything my mind could comprehend.
My mind had been like a magnet with a million particles all consistently aligned in a coherent direction representing a consistent view of a girlfriend, having temporary challenges with romantic feelings, but working with me to maintain a deeply loving relationship, in a context of a rich life.
But suddenly, every one of these interactions, incidents, implications, had completely opposite, and as I experienced it, horrifying interpretations. Every epiphany of what something really meant, led to a dozen other unthinkable epiphanies, in an overwhelming explosion of reconsideration and processing of what all meant.
It was as if my brain had suddenly caught fire, and the maelstrom just burned and burned as my mind tried to come to terms with every aspect of every betrayal, but it couldn't do it all at once. My mind needed to process every dichotomy, all in the context that the view I had before was deeply intertwined with happiness and a love I still strongly felt. While the mirror image was horrifying, depressing, humiliating, with the only thing recommending it was that it was the true image.
For four or five months, my brain felt horrendous pain all day, every day. Every night was nothing but nightmares, which only ended when I woke up into what was the worst nightmare for me.
I knew I was going to kill myself. There was no doubt. I was so grateful for life, and all the good things life had given me, but this wasn't something I could survive. It was something that made me grateful for life, but also grateful to go into a final sleep.
Fortunately, one friend somehow knew just how be there for me or I would be gone. She would show up with concern when she hadn't heard from me, put her hand on my shoulder, which was the best feeling in the world. She went on a trip with me that I had planned on not coming back. And on the trip, she f**cked my pain away, or at least down to a manageable level.
I owe her my life, and have good memories of that trip. She says it was a horrible time, but she wasn't going to let me go. I will never be able to describe the depth of my gratitude to her.
So here is my question: That process where my mind had to overturn so many interconnected beliefs, from happy but false interpretations of being loved despite joint challenges, to horrifying but true interpretations of being brutally used, is there a name for that? It had to run its course for months, as every bad epiphany triggered other bad epiphanies that I had to process in order, and over and over, before my mind was able to make sense of my life again.
Other than describe it as a firestorm that wouldn't end, the onset also felt like my brain was safety glass that had suddenly shattered into 1000's of tiny pieces, and I had no idea who I was. It was only after months of the ranging mind fire cooled that I was able to slowly piece back together a new version of me.
This seems like something that might not be common, but must have happened to other people.
Does anyone have a name or reference for anything like this?
After story:
I am fine now, but different. I had PTSD for a while, where I would explode and only be aware of it after about 10 seconds or so, then calm down and be terribly confused as to what I was doing. While the list of war crimes and other horrendous committed by the Red Army is Soviet government is extensive, Hitler and Stalin would’ve never been able to coexist in a ‘carved up’ Europe if the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact had continued. Hitler had always wanted to invade the Soviet Union and detested what he saw as International Jewry and Bolshevik Jewry originating in the Soviet Union. Signing the pact was an abhorrent moral act and the Soviet attitude toward the country and people of a Poland based as abysmal. Though the Soviets never thought that their alliance would sustain and there is absolutely no evidence for this. Stalin used the Pact to buy time for the mass restructuring of the Red Army after purging much of the officer core in the Purges.
The Pact was more a result of political reality more than it was complacency with the ideology of the Nazi state. When the Germans invaded in June of 1941, the restructuring of the armed forces of the Soviet Union was still not completed hence the disastrous operational failures of 1941 and early 1942. 8/11 German soldiers died fighting the Soviet Union. The reason why people blame ‘General Winter.’ Is due to a misconception perpetuated by surviving German generals who blamed the winter for the Battle of Moscow when the Germans advanced the furthest East. Everyone, including the OKW (high command of the German armed forces) knew that winter would come in six months from the start of the invasion. The reason for the lack of preparedness is because the Germans excepted to roll the ‘subhuman’ Soviet people by winter. When they fought back harder than expected, the winter cope began.
Regarding lend-lease it was pivotal in supplementing Soviet industrial efforts and enabled the Soviet army to utilize equipment better radios for instance, but historians still debate whether the absence of lend-lease would’ve caused a total collapse of the Red Army. David Glantz, one of the foremost historians on World War Two, believes that the war would’ve lasted longer but that lend lease probably would not have changed its ultimate outcome.
This is all to say that while clearly Red Army does not have the moral superiority, (though I would argue still more moral than the German armed forces) possibly millions more of American, French, and British soldiers would’ve had to die to secure Europe from fascism.
