2000€
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.

Spain (Madrid)
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
Keyboard: Redragon Kumara. Mouse: Corsair one (dont know the model srry). Case: Be quiet pure base 600 (painted like a vintage one)
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

It would be awesome if this build could last me for a large amount of time.
What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.
Wired but WiFi wont a problem as im gonna move next year
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
The case I have is the pure base 600 from be quiet (the one with the window) but moded like the vintage pc cases (just painted and with a small filter grid instaled on the front pannel). I dont know if this is possible but if there exist components that give the build a vintage look that would be awesome.
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
I dont know if Windows 10 or 11 is better so if u could tell me too ill be so happy :3

2023.05.29 19:32 drblanco24 New Server - Come check it out
Call of Duty kind of sucks, and Tarkov is stressful af. So we started a Ground Branch server-let's build a community!
My buddy and I are huge fans of the game and we often find there are either super hardcore milsim servers or ones that are empty as hell, so, we started a server! We hope to bridge the gap. We're not in it for money or any of that - just want to help build a community.
We're also looking for admins to help manage the server while we're away. This isn't a full time gig for either of us so come help out!
We've also setup a discord channel for requests in game and any mods. We'd really like to make this a community that grows. Feel free to hit us up on Discord invite link doesn't expire!

2023.05.29 15:16 PHGAG PC / virtual machines for the whole family setup?
I've been building and upgrading my own gaming rigs for 20 years now, so I have a bit of background.
Though now that I have kids that are growing fast and the needs for PC/gaming/entertainment will be increasing soon.
I was wondering if it would be a valid cost effective setup to build a larger rig with virtual machines that could meet the needs of the 3 of us (potentially 4 including my wife but she doesn't game and only really needs a laptop do to browsing, streaming and budgeting stuff).
Is it realistic to thing I could build one rig that can be used by 3 to 4 people at the same time? Though right now that wouldn't necessarily be the case, it would evolve into this eventually for sure.
Neither the kids or myself would be using it for very demanding titles. I'm thinking NES type titles and family games that can be played together.
I already have an extensive library of backlogged games I want to play and haven't gotten around to. Games I play regularly are mostly MMO type games I've been playing with friends for years (EVE online, Escape from tarkov, the division 2, ghost recon games are the main ones).
Users would be spread across multiple rooms and levels of the house (definitely not in the same room) as my home office is where the main unit would be.
If this is feasible / realistic, what kind of hardware would I need? We can I get some more information and resources to start figuring this project out?
Would love some feedback from anyone who tried to do something similar, whether it worked out or not and why.

2023.05.26 19:26 Gloomy-Weakness-5146 Thoughts after free trial. Still thinking if I should get SC or not
As a DCS and former Elite Dangerous pilot, I already have virpil hotas setup. So when I knew there’s free trail week in SC, I download it immediately. After few days of having fun, I still not sure about whether I should get into it. So I hope some veterans and frequent players can help me to decide.
Here’s my thought after free trail Pros:
- Beautiful ship design and detail interior. As a ED commander I dreamed abt working around my ship for a long time. This is what attract my the most as a pilot.
- City and space station design bring immersion. I can imagine living in this universe and I particularly enjoy the cyberpunk style in Hurston
- Mission variety. Although I focus on combat mostly, I can see lots of non-combat profession also earning money.
However, there are several (big) concerns of me before I commit my time into SC. Money wise I can afford the Avenger titan pack, plus I already have the equipment and fairly decent computer with 3080Ti
Cons: 1. Buggy and unstable connection often lead to waste of time and ingame money. This is really frustrating because I feel everything is trying to kill me or blow up my ship in a new way. I did a delivery mission required me to visit several location, only blew up for no reason at the last stop. Also frequent disconnection set me back in the bed.
- Endless development cycle and wipe. I understand the vision for this game and I believe some ground breaking technology is being developed, but I’ve spent time and money in Escape from Tarkov, only to see it stagnated over the years and with wipes I did things over and over again. I am just not sure the SC will ever be a proper game.
- Lack of in-depth gameplay for each profession. Seems once I get over the initial learning curve, all missions will be repeating and routine with little variable
- Terrible fps combat. Well this one required little explanation
- Terrible interface, as a game the interface is not intuitive and managing cargo and inventory is often a challenge if I don’t know where to look.
- Bugs, server issue or game design often break immersion. T-pose npc standing on the chair, no interaction to NPC, no npc movement, bodies lying at stations, garbage everywhere, the list goes on.
- Lack of activities in city and station. With highly detailed commercial district made, all you can do is press the terminal to buy stuff.
I certainly had fun in playing SC, but I don’t want to spend hours in it and in the end lose interest even before it’s release like I did in Escape from Tarkov. And with DCS and other games coming I will not have much time to begin with. So the question I want to ask is if SC is worth it. If not I will still pay attention to it in the future. Thanks everyone

2023.05.26 17:39 WaitingForMyIsekai Audio advice needed
Hey, so to start off I've got pretty decent headphones with a great soundstage and an okay DAC. At times I feel like this works against me in Tarkov with me hearing every weird sound bug or not being able to hear anything because highs are too high and lows are too low, nevermind gunshots/alarms/airdrops being deafening even at 70% volume on my pc. Any good programmes / setups you can suggest?

2023.05.26 05:19 orangeandgreenrsxy [HOBBY][REVSHARE] [Unreal Engine] Extraction Shooter needs help!
Hello! I am looking for an Unreal engine generalist to join me on my game development project. Ideally you would be familiar with how unreal engine works and lean into the coding side of things more than the artistic side. I've included some really early gameplay:
https://gyazo.com/ad2d97a82c15b9a2cb04e20c6a8a89a0 I do have some requirements:
- please be 18+
- Be able to work in East Coast timezone, normally in the evenings (7pm-whenever)
- speak English
So about the project:
Repressed is a hardcore survival shooter game inspired by hunt showdown and escape from tarkov. 2 factions survive in a war torn world; scavenging the ruins for food and equipment while fighting off mutant creatures and anyone else who stands in their way.
The short version is, its a hunt showdown and escape from tarkov baby with a Fallout inspired world
Currently I am tracking tasks in Jira and using confluence for documentation. I have a perforce server setup for version control as well, but if you are not familiar with these tools they are easy to learn.
I am one of the main devs on the project at the moment doing general programming and gameplay aspect where I can. The other main dev is doing animation and level design work. We both have been making little projects together for years and we have finally held onto this project long enough to make it significant. Our goal is to release this game into early access this year, but there is a lot of work to do.
Were mainly looking for people who want to dive into Unreal Engine and start putting the pieces together. Ideally, you will find a passion for this project as we have. If your learning thats great, we are not experts but can offer what we have learned along the way. If you have many years of experience, we hope you won't judge us too hard while offering your insight as well.
If you are interested, feel free to DM me on discord: NoSalt.oP#8064

2023.05.22 03:49 SashiSecret Need a game development PC
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
- I will be using this PC for Unreal Engine 5 game development, the games I'm wanting to make are like Far Cry, Phasmophobia and Tarkov (just examples)
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
- If possible less than $1000, I'm broke, so if possible cheaper.
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
- In the future this year or next.
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
- Tower and maybe a monitor.
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
- United State and microcenter is far from me but I might be able to order parts if they do shipping.
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
- Logitech M325c Summer Bouquet wireless mouse, Logitech K120 Keyboard.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
Extra info or particulars:
I don't mind using used parts. (Unless that's not recommended) I'm disabled and disability doesn't give alot of money. (I'm visually impaired) so that's why it's cheap and I don't have an exact budget or buy date. I already have some experience with game development and using unreal engine. I just don't have my own PC. I do apologize for any grammatical errors or confusing information I don't know much about the mechanics and engineering behind computers themselves I am very sorry. If anyone knows a companies like Best Buy that I can rent the needed computer or parts I would need, that would be highly appreciated. Thank you I'll answer any questions.

2023.05.20 05:29 Hanuhanuhanuhanuman Compatibility of Samsung G9 & RTX 4090 at 240hz?
This topic has been brought up a few times and I've seen some posts, though I wanted to clarify since I'm not super savvy with monitors and the latest GPU's. I'm planning on doing a huge rebuild after 10+ years of using my current setup. For context, the new build would be rocking a 4090 FE & AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
I'll try n' run through my thought process in short bullet points and hopefully it'll help ya'll to understand what I'm getting at so you can answer questions easier ;) I'm Autistic so just wrapping my head around things just to make sure I know what I'm doing before I actually have any new gear in front of me. May not fully understand the tech but trying to get to grips with it!
- I know peeps can get really into colour depths, pixel densities, etc - Not something I understand or take deep interest in. I've been on an Acer GN246HL for a long time, so simply getting a G9 would I'm sure look phenomenal in comparison. I guess I just need to know what it will be capable of.
- DSC / DP 1.4 - I don't fully understand it so here's a question if you can ELI5: Will the 4090 run general usage & games at 240hz consistently?
- For instance; League of Legends & Age of Empires support ultrawide. Is it a case that the 4090 simply won't handle it at 240hz due to issues with DSC / DP 1.4 OR is it based more on performance of the game and what settings are used?
- What can it run at 240hz over DP 1.4? - Certain colour settings need to be enabled / disabled? Massive drop in performance or quality when this happens?
Just want to clarify this because making use of the ultrawide and 240hz simultaneously is tremendous but knowing where it can and can't do this is very helpful.
- Adding to the previous question - In layman's terms, how and when will DSC be needed; does it need to be enabled / disabled based on use case?
- What changes would I make in the settings on the monitor or in Windows?
I'm not a stickler for the insane quality people compare between these crazy monitors and it's more about the immersive size & refresh rate to me, so I don't feel the need to demand 5120x1440 be used in every game. For instance Escape from Tarkov doesn't support ultrawide, which is fine. This means I can just use Fancy Zones or something on the G9 or Windows to resize easily and have the sides of the monitor for Discord / Wiki's / Etc?
- I've read posts & comments here and there on how the G9 has had issues some time ago though was possibly updated, including firmware updates - How would this impact a purchase now?
- Any disadvantages or specifics to be aware of?
- Issues with QLED?
- Some reports of flickering on 240hz - Was this individual users or a common occurrence; has it been fixed?
- Any reasons to not go for the G9?
Thank you for any answers to my questions and help you're able to provide, it is much appreciated.

2023.05.19 22:14 shuffleboy31 6950 xt vs 7900 xt/xtx and maybe a CPU upgrade?
I'm looking at upgrading my current build to start utilizing my new Samsung G9 Neo monitor. I'm looking for the best bang for the buck setup I can get. Any advice/suggestions would be extremely helpful. I would like to upgrade my GPU, but I understand I will most likely have to get a new PSU, and maybe consider upgrading to a new CPU as well.
Current Build:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 3800
- RAM: 32 GB of corsair vengance 3600 mhz
- Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming x570 WIFI plus
- GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Hydro copper
- PSU: Corsair CX 750 Watt PSU
- SSD's: 2x 1tb WD black NVME drives
- Custom Water cooling loop
Primary Games:
- Escape from Tarkov
- Valorant
- Star Citizens
- assetto corsa competizione
- Dirt Rally 2.0
- The ocasional new Solo player AAA game that comes out (Eldenring, Harry Potter etc).
Here is what my current thought process is. Upgrade to a 7900 XTX and a 1000 W PSU. Then a few months down the line upgrade to 5800 x3d chip and be done.
But with the price drops seen on the 6950 XT I could upgrade my CPU right away as well and I feel like I can get a good amount of the performance I need in my games just from that upgrade alone.
Total Budget willing to spend: $1500

2023.05.18 15:10 Anzket Thoughts on upgrading my pc
I have been thinking about upgrading my pc for some time (have the same since 2015 and was mostly sufficient for now) and some thoughts of more experienced people would be nice.
I yesterday found GTX 1060 3GB and a AMD Ryzen 5 2600 both for 100€ which seems like a good deal but my motherboard only takes AM3+ (the Ryzen needs AM4). So I think I shouldn't get them and just get a new setup as a whole with components that aren't just that small amount better?
My current build is MB: MSI 970, GPU: GForce GTX 970, CPU: AMD FX-6300 6core, RAM: 16gb ddr3
Also stuff that i play includes CS GO, Dota, Skyrim, Fallout 4 so i am mostly fine with what i have right now but i also liked Tarkov but that was exhausting to play since low fps, crashing,...
So my new build will probably also only have to run the old stuff + Tarkov but playable and CS 2
Thanks in advance.

2023.05.18 12:44 Wiffelwicht Can somebody help me with this technical problem / settings?
Every once in a while, I start Tarkov, and I am down to about 15 FPS in the Main Menu, in Hideout it gets way worse down to a 4 - 6 FPS. I doubt that I have a performance issue with my current Setup (Ryzen 7 7700X, 32 GB DDR5 5600, RTX 4080).
I tried to start a raid once when this issue happens, no chance.
The only thing that seems to help is a full reboot of the PC, but that's pretty annoying.
If somebody stumbled upon a solution because he experienced the same issues, I would be glad to hear them, thank you friend.

2023.05.14 19:03 Pikey-Boo Painfully slow boot and program load times.
Hi, folks hoping someone here can help me I'm having some trouble as the title suggests with program load times and boot times.
I've never actually timed it but booting into Windows 11 takes well over three and a half mins.
Also when it eventually gets up and running starting any program it can take a couple of mins for any of them to start up and they seem to hang in loading windows.
I have also noticed whenever I try to open windows explorer windows to transfer files it can sometimes get stuck in a loop of just not responding, causing windows explorer to crash and reset which also takes ages.
The funny thing is once the programs do eventually get up and running the performance is excellent for example in Tarkov a CPU-intensive game I'm getting well over the max set FPS on an ultrawide at 1440p. There just seems to be a serious problem / bottleneck when loading anything. My last 6-year-old setup booted in about 30 secs I just can't wrap my head around it that being said I'm no PC expert.
There are no temperature spikes the CPU is cooled with an all-in-one 360mm water cooler and normally sits between 60-70 degrees C on load.
The Specs of the PC:
CPU - AMD 7800X3D GPU - Sapphire RX 7900 XTX Nitro+ Vapor-X 24GB GDDR6 Mother Board - MSI Tomahawk MSI MPG B650 Tomahawk WiFi RAM - Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s DDR5 CL36 (NOT RUNNING IN EXPO didn't seem to make any difference when I did) Hard Drive / Boot Drive - Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2
If there's anything else I've forgotten to add please let me know. Appreciate any help / light anyone can shed on this. Thanks.

2023.05.13 21:50 Dogfan380 Quest 2 Referral Link (Game discounts as well)
Quest 2 Referral Link for Headset and Games
Quest 2:
https://www.oculus.com/referrals/link/MemeSnorfe Clicking here will give you $30 USD if you are looking to get a Quest 2 very soon. Will be given after it is activated for the first time
Already activated? If it has been 7 days or less, you can follow these steps
Note that this doesn't remove any games you already bought from your library; those are linked to your Meta account. You may have to redownload them though.
Go here:
https://secure.oculus.com/my/devices/ Select Delete Device Data
Then do a factory reset on the actual Quest headset device by pressing and holding the power and volume down (-) buttons at the same time for several seconds. Then the device will take you through a few short steps that takes about 2-3 minutes.
Before reactivating your device, click on my referral link above or anyone else's referral code (please help others get referral credits as well).
Press the power button on your Quest headset device and it will run you through setting up the device again, as well as setting up your phone with the Quest app.
After this setup is done, you will get a notification saying you received your in-store credit (usually within a few minutes of finishing the device setup).
(Quest is Quest, Rift requires a PC)
Games (25% off)
Asgard's Wrath (Rift):
https://www.oculus.com/appreferrals/MemeSnorfe1180401875303371/ A huge RPG game that I haven't tried myself, but heard was really good
Beat Saber (Rift):
https://www.oculus.com/appreferrals/MemeSnorfe1304877726278670 A rhythm game about slicing up blocks. It is well known, and if you have the power to play PCVR, the rift version (steam works as well) is the best with the modding scene already inside
(THIS IS CROSSBUY, JUST 2 SEPERATE LINKS FOR THE QUEST AND RIFT USERS) BONELAB (Quest):

Espire 1: VR Operative:

https://www.oculus.com/appreferrals/MemeSnorfe3262063300561328/ I'm sure people have heard of gorilla tag. PCVR is the only way to use mods, so if you want to use monke mod manager, and you have a oculus headset, this is probably the best option to the modding community

Stride (Quest):
https://www.oculus.com/appreferrals/MemeSnorfe4901911359882668/ A great parkour game, if you like mirrors edge, you will certainly love this. the mechanics feel so smooth that people rarely get motion sick in this game. currently it has its small single player modes and the multiplayer like zombie tag or deathmatch to name a few, but it will soon have a single player campaign called Stride Fates
SUPERHOT VR (Quest):
https://www.oculus.com/appreferrals/MemeSnorfe1921533091289407/ A game that only moves when you move, relive your dreams of going slo mo and dodging bullets like the matrix
