2023.03.24 07:14 Various_String7293 Need advice!
Hi everyone! I’m not sure if it’s okay to ask for advice here (if not please direct me to where I should post this) but I figure if anyone were to understand my situation it would be the people here.
This is probably going to be a long explanation so please bare with me. My husband and I got married last year, and the day before the wedding my aunt and uncle found out their dog has terminal cancer and probably only has a day or two left. My uncle called my mom to tell her that my aunt may not make it to the wedding because she is devastated and doesn’t want to leave her dog alone. I completely understood and didn’t see anything wrong with it and just felt heartbroken for her. My mother in law was there when my mom received the phone call, and I was saying how bad I felt and I can’t even imagine going through that. She just looked at me blankly and said “you’re okay with her not coming?” and I just said “yes why wouldn’t I be?” and then she responded with “oh well I guess if you’re okay with it” as if to say she wouldn’t be??
Fast forward to present day, I brought up with my husband how I was feeling sad because my cat is turning 12 this year and his dog is turning 15 and I don’t want to lose them. I then said that when they do pass, I hope people would be understanding of how we’re feeling if we have to miss functions etc (because of how his mom responded). He instantly got upset and said something along the lines of “you would miss my brother’s wedding if your cat died?” And I responded with “honestly I don’t know how I would react but I know I would be heartbroken and grieving and it would probably be really hard for me to do anything that day”...
This turned into a big fight and I just can’t understand how it turned into something so big. I mentioned that this is an extremely unlikely hypothetical and we would cross that bridge when and if we ever got there.
I’m 25 now and I’ve had my cat since I was 14. He has been with me through the loss of family members, heartbreak, both physical and mental illnesses, and everything in between. He has been my rock and I can’t imagine life without him. He is always there for me and has brought such joy to my life, even in the darkest of times. Caring for him is what kept me going when things were bad. I’m sure many of you can relate to this.
It hurts my heart to think about losing him. My husband knows how much my cat means to me. How would you go about talking this through with your partner? I feel like we have such different opinions on this and it saddens me to think that I’d have to deal with my husband being upset with me if any of these hypothetical situations actually happened.

2023.03.24 07:09 xDelta-Echox Allow players to leave after teammate DC and doesn’t come back.
It is absolutely absurd that in 2023 smite still has some very archaic match policies. Today I was held hostage for 40 minutes in a conquest match after someone rage quit/dc’d at the 3 minute mark and never came back.
Tried to surrender multiple times because why waste 30-60 minutes in a 4v5 match? It was my friend and I’s last match of the night so we wanted to roll into a new lobby but the two randoms that were queued together hit f7 and held us hostage for the entire match while also being toxic and spamming “you rock” any time either of us died and talking shit in chat all match. After a teammate is gone for more than 5 minutes people should be allowed to leave the lobby without fear of punishment. Do better hirez. Stop making neith skins and update your games QoL.

2023.03.24 07:07 steevenbeeven Need advice on waterproof hiking/backpacking boot selection
Hello, I’m looking for a waterproof backpacking boot (or shoe, but most shoes I have are not waterproof), preferably with a stack height in the 6-12mm range. I will be hiking around 15 miles per day in the eastern us, so rain, muddy conditions, slippery rocks, and puddles are a guarantee. I like mid-low top boots and shoes, but I really do want them to be waterproof so I can cross small streams and step in puddles and mud without having to worry about my inner shoe and sock getting soaked. So far, I have looked at these boots and shoes:
Xero Xcursion Fusion - These seem like a solid option, and I am able to get them for $128 right now with the REI member sale. I like the waterproofness and the stack height of 10mm. The negatives that I have heard about this shoe are that it has a very narrow footbox, and that the lugs on the bottom do not grip very well to smooth surfaces that are wet (I will most likely be walking on wet rocks).
Vivobarefoot Magna Forest ESC - These genuinely seem like the best option for me, but its really hard for me to justify spending $200 on a pair of shoes unless they are going to last years, which I do not see happening with these or really any shoes. I do really like the low stack height and really the whole boot, but without a lot of convincing these are hard for me to bring myself to purchase.
Altra Olympus 5 Hike Low GTX - These seem really nice and I can get them for a discounted price with the REI member sale right now. I like that they are a low top shoe that is waterproofed with goretex, however the stack height of 25 mm seems far too high for the ground feel that I want to have in my hiking footwear.
Has anyone tried any of these shoes and can give me feedback? If you have tried any boots or shoes that meet most of my criteria that I listed, please let me know. Thanks!

2023.03.24 06:59 Glintstone-Jedi I needed to share this beautiful story...
So I'm on my level 35 stormveil twink just co-oping away. I got pulled into a hosts world who was clearly on his first very honest playthrough. Like had no idea where to go was clearly lost and confused by Stormveil's size, I had to take the lead because he kept accidentally backtracking. Walking back through doors we just game in through and then turning around and stuff. It was kinda adorable tbh.
But he was pretty good at killing things. Reduvia and no skill blocking shield with lots of guard countering. So to my surprise I walked him pretty much from Stormveils entrance through the entire damn castle, the optional cruicible knight, and with the exception of visiting the entrance and killing the lion and grabbing the items on the roof I walked him through all the important areas. We went through 3 other phantoms but the host hung in there. Might have helped the process with a few warming stones though.
We had one invader, and the poor guy was trying an arrow one shot build but he fired at the wrong moment and rained himself, then I found out he had very low vigor when I one shot him with a jump attack for under 350 damage.
We finally get to the point like we've cleared the tree dude at the bottom of stormveil, cleared the entire area around Godrick's boss door like you'd have to go to the roof to find a live enemy at that point, and we get our second invader. The third phantom died to the tree dude so its just me and the host, and everyone waves and the host like squares up, so I decide fuck it lets see what the host can do.
*Bloodflame blade*
Oh no...he's not gonna
*Fire's Deadly Sin*
AHAHAHA HE IS!
*Rolls towards host*
I am like dying laughing as the dude rolls into the host doing the usual fires deadly sin damage only and the host is like, learning to roll catch. Host gets down 200 points from fire, bleeds the invader down to like 25% health, the invader heals and the host bleeds him again down to 50%
*Connection error*
I fucking died yall. I got to watch someone probably log in for the first time since the patch and try the fires deadly sin glitch and almost get his ass handed to him by my newbie host, ending in a disconnect as he probably goes to scour the internet to find out why he's not bleeding people as he rolls around them anymore.
Thank you From. That made my whole night.

2023.03.24 06:56 AlTheGae is this worth going to the vet for?
first 2 pics is how she looked like a couple of days ago, 3rd is how she looks like today. she went outside by accident without supervision a couple of days ago so she could've scratched herself on a plant, or she could've been scratched or bitten by another cat. her other eye also looks a bit weird, but more so dirty rather than injured. I asked my dad if we could get her checked up at the vet but he told me they'll just take a lot of money and say she's fine. her behavior doesn't seem strange, and she isn't more sensitive in that area than normal.
btw, she normally doesn't go outside without supervision, I know the dangers, and no matter how busy I am, if she goes outside by accident I always go after her immediately. but this time my mother left her outside by accident and she didn't even see her, and she was brought in by my dad.

2023.03.24 06:52 Minischabs I’ve taken my meds every single day for 25 days!!!
I (22f) recently got diagnosed with BP2 (a severe mood disorder / disability that gets worse as your brain develops) and had a bad episode bc I went off of my meds that lasted over a month and a half and cost me my job, almost my relationship, and potentially my life. After this episode I called on my entire support system and begged for help. I got back on my meds and have been for 25 days now. I also increased my appointments with my therapist and am very close to getting a new job. My mom even visited me today (only the 3rd time in 5 years that she has come to see me where I live) and I was balanced, managed my anxiety, and maintained healthy boundaries which made her visit quite lovely and healthy!
I am very proud of myself. Thank you for reading this far!!!

2023.03.24 06:45 Impressive_Pace_5290 Today i asked ChatGpt to write a episode for Jeremy, James and Richard or the trio of chads
Here is it
ChatGPT Title: Top Gear: The Ultimate Off-Roading Challenge
Opening sequence shows the three hosts: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, driving rough terrain in Jeeps, trucks, and SUVs, splashing through mud, and skidding through sand.
Jeremy: Good evening, and welcome to Top Gear! Today, we're going to be putting our driving skills to the test as we take on the ultimate off-roading challenge, and we'll be doing it in some of the toughest vehicles on the planet.
Richard: That's right, Jeremy. We'll be driving over rocky trails, through muddy swamps, and even up steep, rocky inclines. It's going to be a challenge, but I'm ready for it.
James: I'm not so sure I'm ready for this. I'm more of a "driving on pavement" kind of guy.
Jeremy: Well, you better buckle up, James, because this is going to be one hell of a ride!
The episode progresses as the three hosts take turns showcasing their off-roading skills through a series of challenges, including:
Challenge 1: Mud Slinging Mayhem
The hosts are tasked with driving through a muddy swamp as quickly as possible, without getting stuck or bogged down.
James struggles as his vehicle repeatedly gets stuck, while Jeremy and Richard blaze through with relative ease, mocking James' lack of off-roading skills.
Challenge 2: Rock Climbing Madness
The hosts have to drive up a steep, rocky incline, with points awarded for the fastest time and the highest climb.
Richard emerges as the clear winner, deftly navigating his vehicle up the incline and earning both points.
Challenge 3: Jungle Jam
The hosts must navigate through a dense jungle, dodging trees and branches while maintaining a speedy pace.
Jeremy proves to be the most successful, using his driving expertise to dodge obstacles and blaze through the jungle.
As the episode progresses, tensions mount and rivalries intensify as the hosts battle it out for ultimate off-roading supremacy.
The final challenge: Desert Death Run
The hosts must race through a treacherous desert canyon, navigating tight corners and steep drops. To make things even more interesting, they'll be driving in their own personal vehicles, with the results determining once and for all who is the king of the off-road.
In a rollicking race to the finish, Jeremy ultimately emerges as the champion, with Richard coming in a close second and James trailing behind.
Closing sequence shows the three hosts covered in dirt, grime and sweat, smiling triumphantly as they review the highlights of the day's challenges.
Jeremy: Well, that was certainly one heck of a challenge! Who knew off-roading could be so much fun?
Richard: I have to say, I'm impressed with all our driving skills today. We definitely pushed ourselves to the limit.
James: Agreed, and I think today proves that even an old-fashioned road warrior like myself can tackle some off-pavement terrain.
As the credits roll, the hosts drive off into the sunset, ready for their next wild driving adventure.

2023.03.24 06:44 Hectorgtz711_ I got lucky after 208 days.
2023.03.24 06:41 MoreHalf9588 My dad is dying and I have no idea how to cope
On January 19, my (26f) dad (62) came over to help me hang my tv. He called me after with a heavy slur and telling me he was having a really hard time talking. I called my mom who took him to the ER, feeling pretty confident he just had a mini stroke. All signs pointed to a mini stroke. I so badly. so. badly. wish it was a mini stroke.
They did an MRI, then a contrast MRI, then a CT. They sent him home after a day saying that his symptoms say a stroke but his scans say otherwise. They scheduled some more tests and set him up with a neuro-oncologist for over a month out.
It became a waiting game. His speech would go in and out, some days he was fine, other days he sounded like he was drunk. My dad was convinced it was nothing and he was fine but we all knew it was going to be something.
After his appointment with the neuro oncologist, she said this was a case unlike she’s ever seen and she brought it to the state board for review. A brain biopsy was scheduled to find out more.
March 15th, we finally had answers. Stage 4 glioblastoma. A fast moving, aggressive brain tumor that creates legions and spreads rapidly. Typically treatment entails removing as much of these lesions as possible and doing radiation/chemo to slow the growth, but it will never fully go. Most people make it 12-18 months most with the treatment, and that’s if the tumor responds, which it often doesn’t. The physicians assistant giving these results sounded more positive than what was probably truthful. “We treat this all the time,” she said, “he’s in good hands and his symptoms will be mild with this type of radiation and chemo.
By the time we finally got these answers, his speech was slurry more often than not and he was losing his ability to use his right hand. They scheduled radiation and chemo to begin April 4. Three more weeks of regressing before treatment starts. Three fucking weeks.
My parents decided to get a second opinion at a brain cancer specialty clinic, praying they might have more answers or other treatment options. The neurologist here finally gave some honesty. He told us to enjoy as much time as we can with him. Do all the things he enjoys and take in every moment. He said to get our affairs in order. He said to just be present and love. He said this all through tears, unable to promise a time frame.
Earlier my dad fell when taking out the recycling. He wasn’t able to move his right leg. He was at the house alone, stuck for some time before he could get back inside. He said he was trying to write a message in the rocks because he thought that would be it. Thankfully it wasn’t.
Tonight, he made the decision that he no longer wants to do treatment. He doesn’t want to deal with burns on his scalp and the nausea and exhaustion. He doesn’t want more time if his time is left with half of his body working. He wants to ride out the time he has.
With no treatment, they said most people make it 4-6 months from the first sight of symptoms. We are in month 2 and he has already declined so so much. 2 months ago he was hanging a tv. Playing golf. Hosting parties. Today he can hardly walk.
I am so angry and so sad and feel so hopeless right now. If these doctors knew so early that this was something serious, why the fuck has it taken this long? Why the fuck are we just learning the reality? Why would they schedule radiation 3 weeks out after watching the lesions go from 4cm to 26 in 4 weeks? Why is this happening to my dad? How am I supposed to cope with the fact that I have no idea how much time I have left with him, not to mention how much time it will actually BE him.
My dad will probably not see me get my masters degree in two months. Or pass my boards. Or meet the person I fall in love with. Or walk me down the isle. He won’t meet his future grandkids.
He won’t be there to answer my dumb questions about what tools to use to fix my breaking furniture. He won’t be there with his truck to help me move. He won’t be there to tell me what the sounds my car makes means. He won’t be there to give me hugs and tell me he’s proud of me and make me breakfast when I’m sick. I just bought that online storytelling guide that puts all of his memories into a book at the end of the year. But it’s pointless because he won’t even be here by the end of the year, or even the summer.
I need to get this out because I’m not good at taking the love from the people that care about me even though I have so many that do. I have no idea how to let them love me. I’ve only told maybe 6 people, one of which was my boss. I feel like crawling out of my skin and running away when I’m faced with talking about it. I am devastated and lost as I try to prepare for a world without the man who gave me unconditional love my whole life. The only who ran out of the hospital room when I was born right after I was clean, before my mom even got to hold me. and my mom… how is she supposed to go another 20 years without her person? How is she supposed to live in her home alone when 3 months ago they were traveling and living their best lives together?
I hate what the universe has given to my family. I have no ability to be excited for any of my or my family’s upcoming milestones because I feel hallow and powerless and lonely. So, all I can do is share all of this here, to a group of strangers so I don’t have to make my reality aware of how fucking angry and sad and hopeless I really am.

2023.03.24 06:39 ThrowRA18817272 How did you and your partner overcome your differences in communication?
Me (24) and my boyfriend (25) communicate in very different ways. We are still only bf & gf but have been together for almost 5 years.
Today we spoke on the phone and to keep things short, we both realized we have been arguing much more than ideal for our standards. Ever since we sort of moved in together. I stay at his apartment the majority of the week, and go home for a few days, repeat.
But, even with this, he told me on the phone today that he really does want to spend his life with me. And he wants us to overcome our differences (which I’m happy about bc I’ve been scared that it’s been pushing him away😞). Right now, we’re spending a few days away from each other. Not in a negative way, just to take some space away and think about how to move forward best for both of us.
Have any of you had differences in communication with your spouse that you were able to overcome?
An example would be him making a statement that he doesn’t intend to have implications (wants his sentence to be taken word for word and not questioned), but I’ll find implications in the context that he’s saying it (i.e we were just talking about something that I think he’s referring to..)
Some of the time he will say to me “OP you often think I am saying something with a hidden meaning but I just mean what I’m saying.”
Something else that may illustrate an example is earlier we were on the phone, and he asked me a question about me doing something (that I said I would do). He said, are you sure you can do x?
I said, are you asking because you think there is a possibility that I am not capable of following through?
And he said of course not, I really was just asking.
Today it was not an argument, but these little interactions can lead to bigger ones and make us butt heads sometimes, we are both stubborn by nature but trying to work on it.
Not sure if that makes sense, but I hope it does. If anyone can share stories I’m sure I can think of more examples.
I mean to ask as well, did you have to change your mindset to help communication?

PRESENTING PETITIONS Betty Nippi-Albright (NDP) 1:42:00 Presents a petition signed by residents of Saskatoon that calls for duty-to-consult legislation to be enacted. The petitioners are concerned that without this legislation in place, the government is responsible for recognizing when the duty-to-consult is triggered, which has resulted in a lack of engagement with Indigenous communities and lost court battles. The petitioners request that the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan call on the Government of Saskatchewan to immediately stop the sale of Crown lands and enact meaningful duty-to-consult legislation. 90% of crown land has already been sold.
Terry Dennis (SaskParty) 1:43:17 The federal government is infringing on their rights. Wants the Sask First policies.
*NOTE: This is the daily unfounded constitutional challenge that they bring.
Vicki Mowatt (NDP) 1:44:28 Ms. Mowat presents a petition signed by residents of Wilkie that calls for the Government of Saskatchewan to fix the rural health care staffing crisis. The petitioners are concerned about the recruitment and retention of health care professionals in Saskatchewan's rural health care facilities, which has led to disruptions in emergency room, acute, lab, and X-ray services. The petitioners request that the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan call on the Government of Saskatchewan to address the staffing crisis.
STATEMENTS BY MEMBERS Vicki Mowatt (NDP) 1:48:39 Bringing awareness to multiple myeloma.
Alana Ross (SaskParty) 1:46:59 Tribute to Himboldt Broncos and an intro to a local from her riding. He presented the team and and ems/first responders last year.
Nathaniel Teed (NDP) 1:48:26 Speaks about dedication and passion of the Ukrainian Museum of Canada and its staff, volunteers, and community members. He highlights the importance of the museum's artifacts and how they remain relevant today. Mr. Teed was invited to give remarks at the opening of a new exhibit at the museum, which remembers the discriminatory reality of Canada's detainment policies during World War I. He mentions that thousands of Ukrainians were among those held in internment camps across Canada and forced to work in a country they did not know. He also connects current events, such as Putin's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.
Terry Jenson (SaskParty) 1:49:40 Talks about 5000 people in Warman joining for a cheerleading event.
Gary Grewal (SaskParty) 1:51:15 Talks about his visit to the Regina Trades and Skills last fall.
Fred Bradshaw (SaskParty) 1:52:47 Talks about some people joining the winter games this past winter.
Muhammad Fiaz (SaskParty) 1:54:01 Starts by saying “Members opposite won’t want to hear it, but we have good news from our economy”. He says that urban starts in Saskatchewan for Feb 2023 are up 76% from last year, and claims that the best in the country. He also says more people are choosing to move here because we are the most stable on the planet.
*NOTE: I didn’t bother fact checking this, but a year ago were pandemic measures, short supply of building materials etc. It’s a dishonest metric from the start. And to start out inflammatory… strange. His entire speech is ridiculous, especially when you consider our worst in country outmigration and migration retention rates.
QUESTION PERIOD Health Care Staffing and Provision of Emergency Care 1:55:30 Vicki Mowatt, Nathaniel Teed (NDP) vs Paul Merriman (SaskParty) Mowat accuses the government of failing on the economy and health care, citing the closure of the emergency room at Regina General Hospital in Regina. She questions whether the people of Regina should expect such failures when it comes to their emergency care.
Merriman’s excuse is there are always ebbs and flows within the health care system and that officials have told him the pressure at the Regina General has been alleviated. He also cites that Saskatoon emergency was shut down over the weekend as well.
He also mentions that the government is working on a human resource plan to ensure that people in Saskatchewan receive the health care they deserve. Mowat argues that health care workers are sounding the alarm and that the disaster at the Regina General should never have happened, and quotes the president of the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses (SUN) as saying that there is not enough time, capability, or staff to provide safe patient care in most facilities in the province.
Mowat questions the Minister of Health's responsibility for the state of health care and demands that he take action to ensure that such incidents never happen again. The Minister responds by stating that he met with SUN and other stakeholders to discuss the government's four-point plan to address the issue. He also cites the government's efforts to hire more doctors and nurses and to expand the scope of health care providers in the system. Mowat insists that the government's HR plan is not enough and that it is not working. She criticises the government's 15-year record and accuses it of refusing to take responsibility for its failures.
She also questions why the Minister of Health is not listening to nurses and local voices in health care and demands that he work to find real solutions to the crisis in emergency rooms. She says that he shut down a request for a task force to address these issues. The Minister responds by stating that he meets with unions and other groups regularly to incorporate their ideas into the government's plan. He emphasises that the government is working to meet the needs of people in Saskatchewan and will never take their health care for granted.
Teed describes a retired nurse from his riding who had to lay on the floor having a medical emergency. She couldn’t get an ambulance and called family to say goodbye. Merriman responds by he has met with the ambulance providers and went for coffee with them. Teed fires back saying no one should wait an hour for an ambulance, and people are getting hurt.
\NOTE: The tomorrow measures Merriman cites have been deemed not enough by the provincial auditor. They use the same excuse week after week, but the results appears to get work, considering that ERs are closed in our largest cities. He mentions this 4 point plan, and cites the number of nurses and doctors that he’s bring in, but it’s all bandaids, and it’s fewer than we should have previously had. The plan is very late.*
Jennifer Bowes, Matt Love (NDP) vs Dustin Duncan (SaskParty) Access to childcare spaces Bowes expresses concern about the crisis in the healthcare system and the rushed announcement of a $10-a-day childcare policy, and didn’t take the time to get things right to get headlines. She argues that parents who rely on part-time care should not be collateral damage in the minister's desire to score a great headline. Bowes questions whether the Duncan will work with childcare workers to ensure that no one loses their space as a result of the announcement. Duncan responds by assuring that no spaces will be cut, and he emphasizes that he got this deal done 3 years early. Bowes continues to press for answers, stating that the government needs to listen to parents and childcare providers who stand to lose access to their spots. She argues that a one-size-fits-all approach does not work for working moms in Saskatoon and Whitewood. Duncan questions the opposition's inconsistent stance on the policy and its impact on the economy.
\NOTE Duncan’s comment about the NDP being inconsistent is nothing but absurd. He is still positioning this as his achievement, but reality is he accepted the $10 a day, he didn’t work for it at all. I also didn’t fact check school funding numbers.. It’s clearly underfunded regardless.*
Funding for education Matt Love (NDP) vs Dustin Duncan (SaskParty) Love chimes up that Prairie Valley School division has now started a charity to continue to keep their school running. Duncan insists that he has foundations in place to keep the schools going, and his side of the isle laughs out loud at Love, then he claims Saskatchewan is the highest spending on education in the country. Love returns back that he asked about this funding in 2020, and Duncan told him “We are not going to rely on bake sales to ensure that we have a continuation of a safe return to work” and asks how bottle drives compare as a funding method. Duncan again insists that they’re giving a lot of money to schools, and asks if Love doesn’t want people with a lot of money to help fund the schools, and cites the Brownlee family (may be spelled wrong, I don’t know who they are.)
Government Support for Harm Reduction 2:18:15 Vicki Mowatt (NDP) vs Everette Hindley (SaskParty) Latest overdose numbers, 103 deaths in two months this year, same as all of 2016. This conversation happens daily. Hindley says that they have a going forward plan of additional funding. Mowatt continues to press for immediate action, Hindley justifies the money that has been spent but doesn’t address the current record, but has a going forward plan.
ORDERS OF THE DAY Bill No. 109 — The Trespass to Property Amendment Act, 2022 2:22:00 Nicole Sarauer (NDP) Says that they have put very serious concerns on the record about the bill, how it would affect stakeholders. She brings up the premiers tweet about federal workers going on to private property and calls it a redundant bill since people already need to abide by these laws. Cites concerns from Saskel, SaskEnergy and highways workers who are concerns about the rhetoric and their safety.
Bill No. 116 — The Plant Health Act 2:25:06 Vicki Mowatt (NDP) Notes importance of pest control in agriculture. She is leaving more questions to their critic.
Bill No. 117 — The Saskatchewan Firearms Act 2:27:45 Betty Nippi-Albright (NDP) Cites her experience of her husband being shot by an illegal firearm, as well as being an indigenous person who relies on firearms for their way of life. She shares the concerns of FSIN regarding lack of consultation. She wants more consultation with impact communities.
Bill No. 118 — The Warrant Compliance Act 2:34:32 Vicki Mowatt (NDP) She agrees with powers to the police to help find violent reoffenders. Again raises concerns about who is a repeat violent offender, there are definitions missing, and she is concerned about unintended consequence for families, especially kids.
Bill No. 122 — The Saskatchewan Revenue Agency Act 2:37:56 Doyle Vermette (NDP) Asks why they are doing this, he’s been asking every reading but isn’t getting an answer. Says there was no consultation, and now business will need to file two taxes, one provincial one federal. No answers provided. He cites the cost of a new crown, and says that he has heard ministers in the Saskparty say that they can raise taxes, and they’ll still get voted in. And when the result is negative, they’ll say something about the liberal ndp federal government and put their hand out begging for federal dollars.
Bill No. 124 — The Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Amendment Act 2:45:38 Jennifer Bowes (NDP) Cites once again there are mixed responses from stakeholders, and wants the government to consult.
Bill No. 126 — The Summary Offences Procedure Amendment Act, 2022 2:52:58 Nathanial Teed (NDP) He’s happy about allowing first nations to enforce their own laws, bylaws, summar offense tickets, time limits. He’s in favour.

2023.03.24 06:18 OddMemory2244 The Crimson Court made me abandon Darkest Dungeon
I had 25 hours in game, I had just upgraded the smithy and guild to max, I was just starting to have a couple decent teams at lvl 6, and since I looooved this game so much, I went back and purchased all the DLC without looking at reviews, and I installed all of them. I went in blind, not knowing what to expect from the Crimson court. Oh, an invitation? A new area? Neato! And so I went.
A few hours later, I am closing Darkest Dungeon and never opening it again. The Crimson court ruins the whole game, because it takes over and cancels the normal gameplay loop, replacing it with something so, so, so much worse. The crimson curse is the single worst gameplay mechanic they could have added to this game. Not only that, but the fact that Crimson court NPCs randomly roam the corridors of the actual castle, now, means that I can't even have a team of "crimson cursed" champions to handle the DLC, knowing they'll die and it's ok. EVERY champion is getting the curse in normal missions. After just a handful of weeks doing excursions in the normal areas, due to the roaming bloodsucker monsters, virtually my whole roster has the curse, and the blood is exceedingly rare. Champions need blood far, far more often than blood is found. I cannot even go to the Crimson court itself to farm blood BECAUSE I NEED A FKOJEFWEIMKJLING INVITATION AND RNG IS DENYING IT TO ME.
So, I cannot send my lvl 6 champions on regular missions - therefore, it becomes impossible to kill bosses. I am loath to send lvl 4-5 champions either, given that they also all get the curse and just constantly die. The building that gives 2 bloods per week is not even enough to keep my currently-cursed champions from dying, and every healthy champion sent on an expedition is 100% guaranteed to be infected by the curse, but sending a party of infected is suicide because all 4 then require blood WHICH I DON'T HAVE. The only gameplay loop that allows any kind of progress now is to let the cursed champions die until there's just enough of them to be sustained by the 2 weekly vials, then just recruit cannon fodder from the coach and send them on a single mission, where they inevitably get infected, and then dismiss all four, only to restart with 4 new recruits. It does not allow leveling up, it does not allow game-after-game progress, it does not allow to have any lvl 6 champion, it does not allow to beat bosses, it does not allow to tackle the Darkest Dungeon. In one word, it is garbage.
The game is not playable at all, with the Crimson court active. Literally, absolutely, objectively unplayable.
There were ways to make this work. I'd really like an option to toggle off the fking court and be able to return to my game. There's also the option of locking the Crimson court to be only accessible for people who finished the game and are looking for an extra hard challenge that will change the gameplay loop of THE ENTIRE GAME, for instance, if they wanted to really make the Crimson court invade the entire game and upend the normal game experience. But I argue that it could have been fine if they kept everything the same but if the curse was kept inside the court, removing all roaming bloodsuckers, so players could choose to sacrifice chosen champions to the curse to advance the DLC. It could even have been good! But the fact that every champion going to any mission is quasi guaranteed to get the curse, the fact it becomes impossible to do normal missions AT ALL while the court is active, is the worst decision I have ever seen a game dev make.
The ONLY way to advance, now, would be to sacrifice all of my hard-grown champions by throwing them at a wall, letting every lvl 5-6 die until I get another invitation, advance the DLC, then restart - throw my champions at the wall to die of the curse in the hope of a single invitation, then advance the DLC a bit more, etc. I looked up how long it is - if it continues to take multiple hours for one single invitation to drop by chance, it would easily take me 15, 20, maybe up to 30 hours of grueling, unfun gameplay just to end the DLC and FINALLY being able to play the game itself.
My only option is to tolerate the grueling DLC that cancels the entire normal game (I'm not doing that) or delete my save and start over from 0 without the DLC (I wasted 25 hours on my save before the DLC bricked it, I'm not doing that again). So, last option: Uninstall Darkest Dungeon and forever remember it as this amazing game that is rendered entirely unplayable by its VERY poorly thought out DLC.

2023.03.24 06:15 MoreHalf9588 My dad is dying and I have no idea how to cope

2023.03.24 06:13 yungmarvelouss Upper right abdomen pain after having a drink
I'm worried. For the last 2 years (roughly), i've been getting a slight pain in my right upper abdomen, in the area the liver and gallbladder are located. I mostly get this pain after I take a drink. After taking a drink, i feel the pain in a matter of seconds or a minute or 2. It's not a major pain, i would say maybe 3/10, it comes and goes sometimes but 95% of the times i drink, i feel it fast. Ive always stupidly shrugged it off thinking it couldn't be my liver because, well, I'm 26 years old.
I started drinking around october of 2016. I've never considered myself an alcoholic, I don't drink every day and never really have. I've never been physically addicted to alcohol. The amount I drink, i would compare it to an average college student who likes to party, Mostly 1-2 times a week, mostly straight spirits, nothing crazy or getting super drunk, Maybe really drunk 1 day and if i do drink again that same week, just to the point where i'm tipsy. I don't like being too drunk, I like remembering everything that happened so i never drink to black out. I have been blacked out a few times but on accident and rare, maybe 1-2 times a year. I wouldn't consider myself a light drinker, but certainly not a heavy one. And that's the thing, I've never been a heavy drinker, and i've only been drinking for a little over 6 years.
From what i've read before, people develop cirrhosis after 10-20+ years of daily, heavy drinking. Now, my fear is that this pain IS that. Ive decided today to stop drinking for good, and i know i need to see a doctor asap, but I was hoping that someone could give me some insight on this for now, is it even possible in just 6 years? what else could the pain be? Is this only fatty liver or hepatitis? anyone else experience something similar only a few years into drinking?
ALSO: i don't know if it's worth mentioning but for the last 6 months i have drunk considerably less, mostly around 2 times a month, but nonetheless still feel the pain whenever I do drink. Also have no other symptoms aside from the upper ab pain. I also exercise every day, mostly running, so i'm pretty fit physically.
