2023.03.21 00:10 Icy_Clothes6598 Dealership possibly lied about trim level
Hello we have a complicated situation and I would appreciate any advice on the matter. In December of 2022 we went it to trade in our car to a local KY dealership. My husband is active duty military and we were in desperate need of a 3rd row vehicle that could tow a trailer that would contain some personal belongings as we made the move to TX (PCS orders). We also had 2 kids, 2 cats and a dog coming with us so we definitely needed the space.
We got there and they appraised our vehicle we previously had and informed us it had about $7k in negative equity. We intially were interested in a Chevy traverse or GMC acadia but with the negative equity we could not get those. They decided to bring out, what they advertised as, a 2020 INFINITI QX80 Limited as a last ditch effort to secure a sale. We decided to get it, signed the paperwork, and went on our way.
We have recently learned that the trim level stated by the dealership on their Bill of Sale is not the correct trim level. After extensive research, our car has none of the Limited features. Our car is baseline trim which is the LUXE trim. The difference between the 2 trim levels is close to $20k with the limited being the higher price point we paid. We have compiled significant evidence to support this claim but has anyone else had this happen? How should this be approached and any advice in general is appreciated.
Thank you for reading.

2023.03.21 00:08 Tetonicus NYC Ultralight April Meetup - Boone's Birthday Bash
What: Get your feet under you with a relaxed, middle mileage, low vert, early season backpacking trip in the local state park. And celebrate the second adoption day of our mascot, Boone, in the process!
When & where: April 15-16, 2023. Departing from Dutch Doctor Shelter in Harriman State Park at around 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. I and I’m sure a few others will be at Dutch Doctor on Friday night. If you are using public transit I would recommend arriving at Dutch Doctor on Friday night as the first train on Saturday arrives in Tuxedo at 10:29 a.m.
Weather: April is usually one of my favorite months for Harriman backpacking since it’s not too cold but not sweltering.
A NOAA point forecast is here. Map: https://caltopo.com/m/A2AGL Who should come: Anyone who likes backpacking and is down to do an 8.5 mile day! Ultralight is not a prerequisite.
Who shouldn't come: If you’re looking to push big days this probably isn’t the trip for you. Though you are welcome to meet us at the shelters.
Transit info: If you’re taking the train, download the NJTransit app. Round trip tickets are less expensive. You’re going to want to grab the train from NY Penn and transfer at Secaucus, or go straight to Hoboken for the train toward Port Jervis. Return trains are less frequent, with trains out of Tuxedo at 8:35a, 10:13a, 12:13p, 4:20p and 6:44p.
Boonus activity: Boone and I will be doing sunrise trail runs prior to the hiking section. You are welcome to join if you dare ;). They are likely to be around 90 minutes long, but exact schedule and length are TBD.
Additional details:
- If you comment here, I’ll confirm your attendance by 4/13.
- If you are driving, there is a DEC parking lot by the train station. It can fill up on weekends so you may want to arrive early.
- There are no bear cables, lockers, or any other pre-existing ways to store your food at Dutch Doctor. Please come prepared to store your food properly (PCT hang, bear cans, UrSack, etc). Trash bags hanging 5ft off the ground do not count.
- Anyone that would discriminate against someone else has no place on our meetups; we are an inclusive group.
- Please be fully vaccinated before the trip. If you're feeling unwell, please be cautious and stay home.
- Please have the route downloaded and/or printed. Familiarize yourself with the route beforehand and be prepared to navigate yourself if you are separated from the group.

2023.03.21 00:08 chrisplyon City of Shreveport's water and sewer bond rating dropped from A3 to Baa1/Baa2
The Mayor was informed to day that Moody’s Investors’ Services has downgraded the City’s water and sewer bond rating from A3 to Baa1 and Baa2. The City’s overall bond rating of Baa1 was retained.
Moody’s lower rating noted the new administration’s efforts to restore fiscal health and improve governance, but
it reflected concerns that the current level of utility revenues are insufficient to keep up with the needs of our water and sewer infrastructure. A utility rate study is in progress to identify exactly what kinds of increases to utility rates might be indicated.
The Moody’s rating also gave a negative outlook to the City’s bond ratings. Moody’s analysis noted that the City was facing significant financial challenges going forward, including litigation costs, additional capital needs that will likely require future bond sales and the need to adjust utility rates in the near future. The Mayor and his staff will work with the City Council to address these concerns.
The City’s ability to pay its debts is not in question and its bonds remain investment grade.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Emphasis mine. No mention was made in this notice of the
recent Urban3 study that gave recommendations on how to fix the longstanding revenue problems, including a new tax model, opportunities to reduce infrastructure liabilities. Instead, the administration just talks about rate increases as if its the only way to pay for infrastructure (it's not).

Hello, my name is PoliticoBailey and I am an ACT candidate for this upcoming election. This last term, the ACT led Government led New Zealand through new stability and delivered much needed reforms and relief for the average Kiwis. This last term, we have delivered on GST relief for families on food, protecting victims of sexual violence, standing up for human rights internationally, and ensuring everyone, no matter their community, will have access to clean water. Our work is not done however. This upcoming election is important because we need a continued mandate if we want to work on delivering lasting and positive change to New Zealand. 2023.03.21 00:08 PhelesDragon So, s3e3 actually hits the spot for me
This one did something that Star Wars has not for me for some time: in made me care about a character. Telling the story from the perspective of Pershing and his plight was smart. Not God-tier, but competent in a way I haven't seen SW be in a while (sans Andor, which feels so far removed at this point it's practically in its own Star Wars continuity bubble outside of the main canon).
I love how they used his humanity in the episode. To protect his identity, the New Republic strips him of it with a dehumanizing code number. The writers and the woman (can't remember her name) use his former identity to draw him in and thus strip him of it entirely in the end. It was a painful inversion of concepts and very well done. I asked my wife where this level of writing had been in the prior 2 episodes, Snoke set-up be damned.
The bottomline is, for me, that I can forgive minor world building plot holes (and maybe even the odd Sequel plot groundwork) when I actually give a shit about the story being told. This story did that for me.
They even had a bit of finality to this episode with his mind being wiped. Granted, I know now these writers' penchant for bringing characters and objects back that should be atoms, so I maintain the fear that this isn't the last we've seen of "mentally complete" Pershing. That said, as an episode unto itself, quite enjoyable and genuinely heartaching.
Of course the concept of cloning is being beaten to death and sucked dry posthumously, but what can one expect? I've always hated cloning as any sort of plot device, but unfortunately Star Wars was permanently saddled with it due to that throw away comment from Luke in the very first film. Although, had the Clone Wars been more "repeatedly cloning our best and brightest warriors, and eventually even our Jedi in a multi-faction war for galactic supremacy" rather than "oh, the Stormtroopers were just all clones before", I might've marginally reeled back my opinion of the trope. But I digress...
The episode bookends with some actual Mando plot that didn't physically make me crumple over with cringe-induced muscle cramps, so it was welcome too. Baby Yoda is typically the side-character dingleberry at this point, but either you're on board with Disney's approach to him being in everything or you're just miserable. I'm trying my best not to be miserable. Suspicious lack of mention that Mando rules the Mandalorians still, but whatever. Obviously the writers don't care about the Mandalorian code they're basing the entire show's contrived plot on. So be it.
Anyway, if they could maintain this quality in writing, and I'm positive they can't, to where they actually wrote characters worth caring about, I might be happy, ultimately. I doubt it, but maybe. Either way, it was nice just be invested again, and to have some sense of closure on anything. Will it happen again? Will it even hold? We'll see.

2023.03.21 00:07 theswerve [WeWantOut] 35F 38M USA -> Greece
Hi! My little family is planning to move from Arkansas to Greece this year. We have two young girls. I want to work remotely, so I started the Google Coursera classes for Data Analytics and Project Management. Are these helpful in getting a job that I could have online while living in Greece? Or should I try some other certifications? Here are some considerations surrounding the move and our skillsets:
- I am selling my house and should have around 100K+ to get over there and get settled and then put the rest in savings.
- I didn't graduate from college, but my studies were mostly in classics, political science, and math. I can translate Ancient Greek and have translated several books from Ancient Greek into English.
- I do not know modern Greek fluently, but I can read some and speak a little. I'm working on my Greek apps to get better.
- I have done data entry and other easier tech jobs in the past.
- I managed a pawn shop for 5 years, a jewelry store for a year, and a hotel for 1.5 years while in college.
- I have a certification in jewelry sales from the GIA
- My partner is a bartender and has been in bars, restaurants or hotels for his entire adult life.
- I have family there that I am in loose contact with. I've visited twice for 2 weeks each visit.
- I have Greek heritage through my father's bloodline, so I am trying to get dual citizenship, but it's a daunting process.
- Is there an organization that helps people line out visas and everything? I sure could use some help and guidance. It's a massive undertaking with two youngins.
- Any tips on which visa I should try to get?
- What online certifications or jobs would you recommend?
I'm grateful for any advice. Thank you so much.

2023.03.21 00:07 andrewtyne Non-official Patches
Hey, super random (and probably dumb) newbie question. A podcast I’m a fan of has patches so I picked one up as a show of support, and I recently put in a Fire Dept Coffee order and they had a cool looking patch on-sale and…it was cool looking so I grabbed one. But here’s my question. What do people actually do with these? I was just planning on keeping them on a bookshelf because I think they look cool but they’re sewn on to Velcro and I assume that means they’re like, meant for something?
