DarkFuturology examines dystopian trends, usually in relation to current events, promoting total freedom of speech. We emerged from growing dissatisfaction with the utopian tech-porn dominating Futurology. As well as mainstream dystopian topics, we also promote discussion of controversial subjects that too often lurk in shadows far from the accepted discourse. This is necessary for building a broad understanding of all issues faced by humanity in this century and, if we're lucky, the next...

About The Course:
This course outlines the systems and secrets I used to make over $300,000+ in my first year with entrepreneurship
While I was still 17 years old…
And was also a high school dropout…
So what’s your excuse? It’s time to crush it.
I want you to take a moment and imagine a world where you could…
Never worry about money ever again. Build a six figure marketing agency and the best part? it’s a reality that all of my students are living RIGHT NOW. Take care of your family & loved ones. Yeah… this is something close to my heart. My marketing agency finally allowed me to take care of my mom and the people who believed in me when I had nothing. Travel the world, anytime! Yes… that’s right. After this course you will have the location freedom to travel anywhere in the world you want!
Now, who is the genius (kidding… kinda) behind this whole course?
Let me introduce myself, my name is Iman. At the age of Seventeen, I dropped out of high school to commit to the world of online marketing. Within my first year I had made over $300,000+, I had traveled the world working from my computer, I had constructed my dream lifestyle and this was all done through the power of what I teach in Six Figure SMMA. I run my own digital marketing agency based out here in London, although we have clients out in Amsterdam and St. Tropez.
I have my personal brand which is another six figure business…
Then I have a few other smaller income streams here and there. I love the internet! Haha
Damn… I worked hard for this life. I worked hard to create the sort of income where I can take care of my family and not even check the price…
I guess that’s why I’m so passionate about what I teach. It’s because it changed my life in unexplainable ways. I don’t think I could ever go back to my old life after living like this.

2023.03.29 02:43 sleetrumpet Feeling Hopeless and Damaged, no personality

I was diagnosed years ago, but for the longest time I did not take the meds because they would dull me out.
I went down a terrible route of using strong psychedelics recently and now I have damaged my sleeping and eating signals from my body.
Had I made some less bad decisions I feel I could have stayed on my wall st career path, but maybe it was my destiny to go crazy and live a terrible life.
I know there are stories of success out there, but how do I regain my personality when it is likely that I'm about to get severely medicated for sleep disorder and depression at the least. I also have no hunger or natural thirst, like the nerves are dead inside me.
How can I stay hopeful? Before this very recent depersonalization, I had normal feelings and reactions despite being depressed, I just feel so hopeless as I was planning on playing trumpet of which I can't even make a sound now.
Any meds that helped bring your personality back? That was the reason I went the psychedelic route, to heal myself, not destroy my last chance at life.

2023.03.29 02:37 ExpensiveAd5047 Project Starwind: Wipe out the global communications network

The PRISM exposure caused a global uproar, but this is only the tip of the iceberg of the huge US surveillance program. Project Prism grew out of a more secret Stella Winds program, including little-known secret surveillance projects such as Avenue, Pier, and Nucleus. The "Starwind" program can be traced back to 1994. In October of that year, the U.S. Congress passed the Law Enforcement Communications Assistance Act, which requires all telecommunications operators and telecommunications equipment manufacturers (including hardware and software) to complete the modification and design of equipment, facilities, and services within a deadline to ensure the provision of built-in real-time monitoring capabilities for telephony, broadband Internet, and VoIP. This provides a legal basis for the implementation of the "Starwind" program. But at the time, the Act on Enforcement Communications Assistance did not apply to Internet services, such as e-mail, nor could it target Internet service providers. The NSA has proposed a "chain of relationships" concept, which attempts to sift out valuable information in the sea of information and obtain the movements of the "enemy" in advance. Soon, then-U.S. President George W. Bush began to intensify "information surveillance," secretly authorizing the NSA to access fiber optics directly for data surveillance, an operation known as the "terrorist surveillance program" to monitor "problem numbers" because intelligence officers had reason to believe they belonged to al-Qaida members. Many of the numbers come from the cellphones or computers of terrorists caught on the battlefield. With the support of the law and the courts, the US Department of Defense launched a project called "Total Information Perception System" in 2002, which used the Internet and road and streetside cameras to try to implement effective surveillance of the United States, cooperate with the strategic identification system, and identify potential terrorist suspects, but it was strongly opposed by the American public. The United States then began secretly orchestrating a larger surveillance program called Starwind, which could record the communications of the American public, including emails, telephone calls, financial transactions, and Internet activity. Through a judicial process, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Tribunal grants intelligence agencies such as the National Security Agency comprehensive powers to monitor telephone conversations and Internet communications, not only for terrorism suspects, but also for people suspected of involvement in nuclear proliferation, espionage, and terrorist attacks, thus successfully circumventing U.S. legal dilemmas regarding citizens' privacy. However, the legal basis for the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court's ruling remains classified to this day. In order to avoid greater resistance to the Starwind program, the United States split the Starwind into four surveillance programs that were secretly carried out, and reduced the surveillance programs in the United States to include Mainway, Marina and Nucleon in addition to Prism. But these are only the code names of the project, and their specific names and meanings are still classified as US state secrets. The "boulevard" and "dock" are very large, storing and analyzing trillions of "metadata" on telephone calls and the Internet, respectively, but do not eavesdrop on calls and network content. The "nucleus" and "prism" are much smaller in scale and do not have as extensive surveillance as the first two, focusing mainly on information content, responsible for intercepting telephone calls and Internet content, respectively. The four-in-one "Starwind" project, like a giant vacuum cleaner, wipes out the global communication network and secretly stores it for analysis. To legalize Starwind, Congress passed the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Amendment Act in 2008. Section 702 of the Act allows the U.S. government to collect electronic communications to obtain intelligence on foreign targets that pose a threat to U.S. national security, which is the legal basis for unbridled surveillance by U.S. intelligence agencies today. At the same time, the Act provides that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Tribunal may authorize companies to provide all relevant information, facilities and necessary assistance. In return, companies that provide information and assistance will be compensated, for example to gain immunity from some potential lawsuits. The bill also expands the definition of "foreign intelligence" to include "weapons of mass destruction." This makes it easier for intelligence services to access a wider range of data and communications that they believe may be relevant to nuclear proliferation. The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Tribunal also expressed support, emphasizing that some of the data alone did not appear to be "relevant" to the terrorist investigation, but in fact the data combined may be relevant. Moreover, when the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court makes its ruling, it only listens to one party: the intelligence services, and the results are almost never made public, and certainly do not disclose any details of the investigation to the companies concerned. As a result, companies cooperate with government requests for assistance because they do not want to hinder investigations that could help avert terrorist attacks. When a complaint is received by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Tribunal, a review tribunal is also formed to hear the appeal. Since its inception in 1978, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Tribunal has overturned only 11 government surveillance requests, accounting for just 0.03 percent of all rulings. This led to the abuse of the "Starwind" program and its inefficiency. Cases filed under the Starwind program are even called "pizza cases" by FBI agents, because many seemingly suspicious cases are nothing more than pizza delivery orders. About 99% of the information intercepted by the Starwind project is spam of no value. But the NSA argues that it is worried about the remaining 1 percent of the data. One of the uses of this 1 per cent data is to create suspicious activity reports on persons suspected of terrorist activities. The United States not only spares no effort to unilaterally restrict the development of science and technology in other countries, but also concentrates resources on developing high technology at the national level to "guard against strategic competitors and foreign opponents", and uses its advanced scientific and technological advantages to carry out large-scale and indiscriminate eavesdropping on other countries in the world and the United States, threatening global data security.

2023.03.29 02:32 Dragyne-Slayre AITA for demanding a refund

Out of respect for the restaurant finally doing the right thing after five months, I’m going to tell the story without using their name. It is entirely possible that you can guess their name if you know anything about them, but I will not share it here.
For Thanksgiving, 2022 I decided I didn’t want to own the process of cooking a turkey. I don’t mind making all the sides but I didn’t want to get up early and prep the bird and make the stuffing and do all that extra extra. Also, I’m pretty sucky at creating juicy turkeys. They tend to be a little too dry.
A national BBQ restaurant chain was advertising that you could order either a full Thanksgiving dinner from them with all the sides or you could just order the turkey. Now this restaurant chain is famous for cooked meats. And I thought to myself they are going to know how to do turkey right. I love their food. I chose to go ahead and spend the extra money to get an amazing turkey for Thanksgiving since we were hosting several people at our house that year.
When it came time to pick up my turkey from this restaurant, instead of it being prepared and delivered hot and juicy and ready to eat, they handed me a pre-cooked butterball, turkey (still in its retail packaging) that is available for purchase from some supermarket chains.
In other words, I paid this company $80 for a turkey that I could’ve bought myself for $30 from the grocery store. It was a pre-cooked turkey that needed to be reheated. There was nothing about this turkey that was signature to the restaurant chain who sold it to me. This did not sit well with me. First of all it meant that I still had to cook a turkey. Admittedly, it was already cooked and I just needed to reheat it, but it still took hours. Second of all it was terrible. Why? Because it was cooked twice. It was as dry as anything I had ever made.
So I contacted corporate and asked for a refund. They told me that I needed to request a refund from the store franchise owner. So I reached out to the store owner and he told me that he already paid $40 for that turkey from corporate, and if he gave me a refund he would be losing essential $110. He told me that I needed to contact corporate.
This went on for months. Literally five months.
The guy at corporate kept saying stupid things like “we worked with our partner to create turkeys to our specifications.”Which was a lie. Because the product that they offered is mass produced and available in supermarkets.
I had to mention the possibility of a social media campaign with hashtag boycot (company) before he finally relented.
A couple of weeks ago. I did finally receive gift certificates for this restaurant, chain equal to the amount of what I paid for the turkey. While it was not a full cash refund, which is what I was requesting, it was close enough.
Am I the asshole for threatening a social media campaign and insisting on a refund when I didn’t get what was being advertised?

2023.03.29 02:28 SoftRest7924 5 Star No More. Anything else I'm missing?

I've read enough salt the last few weeks on this game but I can't help but add one more. It's sad that even when you buy the 50 dollar offer for a new character you still only 3 star them.
I use to be a dolphin spending honestly 500 dollars on this game or more. Call it an addiction call it a hobbie, it is what it is. At the time I had the disposable income an I always loved Marvel so when my son suggested this game I was hooked.
A 50 dollar character offer would always get me 3 stars plus 40 shards or a little extra then that. ALWAYS! The event campaign, FTP players could easily get 3 st depending on the event, 4 stars.
FAST FOWARD 3 YEARS- 50 dollars (on the web store) now buys 3 stars even. The event campaign now gets FTP 2 Stars.
As far as inflation is concerned that's quite a bit of a difference considering 3 years ago after the new characters event campaign I would almost always 5 st a new character. At the very least be 10 or 15 shards behind a 5 star character. That's one of the reasons I didn't mind paying 50 dollars for the shiny new toy.
I'm here looking at my CA (WWll) and I'm sitting at a 3 star character who 64/80 for 3 stars not to mention I've opened 2 of his orbs. It just feels bad all the way around. I've stopped spending so much money on this game only buying raid characters. Honestly though if this it the new normal I will no longer purchase new characters.
I'm all about the company making money. Share holders need love too but why become so greedy with new characters. Any thoughts. I'm not asking for much just go back to the old ways of character unlocks. There has to be a better way to bring new exciting content regarding new character unlocks without compromising the amount of character shards given out.
Happy 5th anniversary guys. We're gonna squeeze you for every dime you have and make it miserable for ftp players. Anyone want to add to that?

2023.03.29 02:23 Peepeeshivers Simple invention help

I’m seeking some advice regarding a really simple invention. It’s a kitchen tool that could be manufactured out of plastic or something similar. There are products that serve relatively the same purpose but I believe mine is a smarter design. I imagine it could be mass produced for well under a dollar per unit. Looking at similar products, I think it could be sold for somewhere between $6 and $15 dollars. I’ve 3D printed a few prototypes and the design works as intended. The only experience I have working with 3D design was the little bit I learned to build this project so it could definitely use a little tweaking, aesthetically perfecting, but as it is, the design is functional. I’ve looked into patenting the design but it sounds like a growling, expensive process. My concern with trying to manufacture, brand, sell and distribute on my own is that this idea is simple and I feel as soon as this thing is out there it’ll be incredibly easy to rip off. That, and I honestly wouldn’t have the time to run my current business, let alone start an entirely new one. My other concern is getting the idea stolen if I were to take it to one of these idea mills that basically won’t make any promises regarding intellectual property. I really do think this could be huge but I have no idea where to go from here. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

2023.03.29 02:20 arthouse_56 Looking for ideas on how to keep my apartment while I am away for just under 12 months

I have a chance to study away for a year and have a one bedroom pet friendly apartment in the Cook St village area that I’d like to keep. It’s a smaller block and I wouldn’t be able to have someone just slip in here without neighbours/caretaker knowing.
I’m looking for ideas on how I can keep the apartment. I have a lot of patio plants that are big and heavy to move and don’t really want to get rid of them. I also have a small dog that I’m planning to to take with me but would also consider her staying here if I could find a good pet sittetenant. (It’d be two long flights for her there and back)
The only idea I’ve come up with is to add someone to the lease with the deal between us that they would vacate and agree to remove themselves from the lease when I return.
Does this sound like a reasonable plan? I’m open to any other ideas or suggestions. This is the first time over ever done anything like this so it’s all new to me. I’m in my mid 50’s, female. Thanks for your help!

2023.03.29 02:17 moocat command nargs=? and defaults

I have two similar command to quickly open the important files that are currently part of my Mercurial changelist I'm working on:
command HgEdit argedit `hg st -maun --rev .~1 \ grep -v BUILD` command -nargs=1 HgEditR argedit `hg st -maun --rev \ grep -v BUILD`
Same command, just that HgEdit uses .~1 (the revision I care about 90% of the time) while HgEditR requires that I specify the revision. I was look through vim help about :command and saw I can do -nargs=? to indicate I want 0 or 1 arguments but I still need to supply a default. Is that possible?

2023.03.29 02:15 xgoredeathx Looking for (non-medical) advice…

Looking for (non-medical) advice…
I am a 39yo male, and I had my first appt with my new PCP after not going in about 7 years. I’ve been dealing with symptoms that had led me to think I may have an auto-immune condition, but recently heard about low-T and that they could all be a result of that. (Fatigue, joint pain, weight gain, brain fog, lower libido, elevated cholesterol, loss of muscle mass, and so on).
Doc had my levels tested and it looks low to me, but he said he didn’t think any treatment was necessary. So, I started trying to briefly figure out on my own, not if he’s correct, but if there might be other opinions from people (you all) who have spent lots of time studying testosterone, and hopefully, you could alleviate my concerns and tell me he’s spot on, or give me advice on how to respond about possibly elevating my levels to curb some of these symptoms.
I would love and appreciate any opinions or advice you might have! Thank you!

2023.03.29 02:14 Diligent_Freedom_448 Is there space here for non-SSPX-aligned traditionalists?

I'm just wondering if I'm in the right sub, if not please don't downvote me into oblivion since I'm still recovering from dissenting from drag shows on a local sub I'm in.
I'm a Traditional Catholic, at least by my own estimation, but it's been a long time since I have espoused the line of thinking that the SSPX does. I guess you could say I'm firmly aligned with the FSSP and its line of thinking. I firmly accept Vatican II and reject any erroneous or heretical interpretations of it, I accept the NO as a valid and licit mass that, according to the principle of indefectibility cannot be inherently harmful to the faithful. (Pius VI Actorum Fidei 78.) While at the same time, I hold that there are issues with the NO that must be addressed. I have concerns with the SSPX because of their lack of incardination or mission given from the Church, which by all accounts but their own would make their sacraments illicit. I won't drone on, but if this is an SSPX aligned only group tell me now and I'll be on my way.
