My brain is a rampant bull on the loose. When i take the pills, I get a lasso, and sometimes i hook the bull, but it always comes undone within seconds, and soon the rope breaks.
My brain is a star meant to shine bright, and orbit the planets of life, but instead was set on a crash course with nearby astroids.
Focusing for me is like driving with a small child. You try to play one radio station (focusing on one thing) but the child reaches from the back seat and changes the channel. You keep trying to turn the channel back, but the child grows, and grows until its impossible, and the radio is broken.
I know that when I am doing something other than what im supposed to is wrong. I want to do my work so much, but my body has autopilot, and takes control, leaving me like a battered prisoner, locked in a cell.
My mind is a cardboard box with nails hammered inside. I try to function normally, and act like a normal human, but my brain moves around, causing more damage to itself over time.
Sometimes i laugh even though nothing was funny.
Im jealous of those born into wealth, and layed back parents. I want consistency. I want peace, and quiet, and a small room to sit. What everyone else wants is to pull me out of my hole like a snake, and extract my joy and life like the fangs of a cobra.
I have told myself 3 times now to do my homework while typing these. Nothing works
Sometimes I make promises to god that i can almost 100% always complete. Today was the first time i failed.

Every day is the same thing over and over and over and over. Going on a roller coaster once is fun, but every day numbs your initial joy. Over time, you stop enjoying the consistent, never changing loop that keeps growing more dreary.
I like antique shops. They hold many rare treasures to fill your room with. I prefer these unique items with spirit put into them, rather than a cheap piece of plastic found in every walmart. I like the idea of rarity. Something special to only you. Something to prove to others.

1/16/23 Sometimes, when i have dreamed in the past, or even when I am really high, i see a delphox, for whatever reason. When I was around 9, I had a little bit of insomnia for a while. During that time, I think my brain just tried to create something to comfort me, so (as stupid as it sounds) I started talking to a delphox in my head about my troubles. Recently I have seen it again, when high.

1/24/2023 I really want to write a good song, or make a good film. When i listen to sad music, my soul may be touched or inspired to do this. If i listen to hyper music I get high adrenaline. Sometimes my problems keep me as a prisoner within my own dark and desolate mind.
This is all going on a flash drive from now on. It WAS on a drive, but I need insurance that my journal won't be lost, and that It will be preserved for me.
1/29/23 I sometimes like to almost trick my mind into laughing at like gore on livegore, as if im laughing at it ironically, but then i actually laugh at it.
2/9/23 I like to (try) to draw. I get high, I draw goofy things. Today, my dad dropped me off at home before my mom and grandpa were there, and it was the first time in almost a year that I felt genuinely really calm. Lately I have felt kind of stressed with grandpa here, but with nobody here, the peaceful serenity inspired me for the first time in a while, and i was motivated to DO things. I went out to get sticks for a project, I began to draw, but the second the car rolled up, my stress came back. I like calm, not the scattered heptic that grandpa brings to the house. He needs to go to a nursing home.
3/23/23 Im starting to lose it for real. I like to smoke pot, but i doubt thats the cause. My mental strain is too much for my brain to handle, so its begun to crack under the pressure.

Hi! I retroactively put in a claim for an accident I was in January of last year in July of 2022. I did not know I could have my insurance cover the cost of repairs (USAA towed me to a shop and did not reach back out to me). After months of phone/chat tag I finally got on the phone with a claims adjuster on 03/23. I literally had no update on my claim and all details of it were removed from my account.
The agent informed me that the previous adjuster (who was removed from my case the day after I filed it) sent the info I had to a different department and they rejected my claim because I did not have photos showing the damage to my vehicle. I was quoted about $1.4k and my front tire popped off/axle needed to be replaced. I have an invoice from the repair shop with an itemized list breaking down the cost, which I sent to USAA. When I asked how it was possible they couldn’t reimburse me even a percentage of the cost, the agent got snippy and stated, “You need to take photos of the damage. It is in your policy packet sent out every 6 months.”
I was going to let this go, but I just checked my policy from Jan. 2022 and it states nothing about photos needing to be sent in with a claim. This was the first accident I got in where the car broke down and I did not know what to do.
Can anyone offer any advice on what I can do to fight their decision? I want to call back and point out that my old policy does not mention photo evidence as a stipulation for reimbursement. Which department should I call and/or who should I ask to speak with?

A cold grey night, a father comes back home after grocery shopping. His son helps carrying the groceries for him. It's supposed to be a cool looking cottage cabin home. After that, they were discussing stuff on about the prices of some items and how stupidly expensive it is.
Several moments later, the father starts to lose consciousness, as if he had a stroke or something. Then drops down to the floor and struggles to breathe, the son panics and yelps for mom to call the ambulance. What it really was is that he caught the new deadly virus.
Mom reaches for the phone and presses the three iconic buttons. It's been a few minutes afterwards, so the son tries to help out giving CPR. "Why do I feel like something's there?” He starts to question himself. One more last push and then....jumpscare alert, WORMS popped out of his mouth!
The worms released back into the father's wide open mouth and starts to choke on it! Petrified. Mom freaks out on the phone to the operator about how she & the son saw the worms popped out of his mouth and cries for help asap while he was choking back on them.
TOO LATE. The father's face turned pale and slowly stopped moving which he is very well pronounced dead. The mother then told the operator that it's too late to save him. Tears started streaming down their faces as they bawled and howled for the rest of the night.
A day later, the silent shell-shocked family members began to dig the cold, dead body of their beloved father. They couldn't even get a funeral soon yet because it was during the most deadliest pandemic that killed literal billions of people. They too later on feel something funky.

Writing aside, I originally had the father getting a bad seizure, but then, you're not supposed to give out CPR during that time, so I changed that to make it more realistic. I was so mad & hard at myself about that.
The jumpscare is also not supposed to be just a long bang cliche. Only nasty, excruciating squish noises of the worms. I can only imagine the jumpscare in 3D. Many people in the world HATE worms to no end. A close-up of worms popping out in your face is nightmare fuel if you ask me.

So internally I'm fully OTD like I would have no problem eating an extra chometz edition bacon cheeseburger on pesach followed by marrying a non jew and then passing the children over the moilech fire. But I'm still in the closet somewhat and still live and work in the frum community. So I work in this grocery store in an extremely ultra orthodox neighborhood in brooklyn (wmsbg), and now that it's pesach season and we have separate chometz and pesachdik shelves and what not, people are already making orders for pesach and OMG the amount of OCD these people have is fucking insane.
like it's not enough that the "pesachdik" register is literally covered in white paper sheets and cardboard, yet so many of these people request clean plastic tableclothes to put over their shopping carts and when checking out they literally beg me not to touch the items to the counter even though it's covered and then some of them also request like 3 or 4 layers of plastic shopping bags to put the stuff into and more crazy OCD stuff. I can't imagine that not too long ago I was one of them and thought this was completely normal, and now that I don't believe in Judaism anymore It just blows my mind how insanely toxic this level of OCD is.

The past few months I've been working on a project that strives to make EV training a breeze. I've finally gotten it to the point where I'm not completely embarrassed to show it to people, and I'd love to hear some feedback! I've built several teams with it so far, each time going back and adding things that I found myself missing.
As it stands now, you can find/build a team, put a PokéPaste into the website, and it will create the "trainees" for you, with goals set for their EVs. There is a search function at the bottom of the page with filters and shit to determine which wild Pokémon you will need to train on, and as you defeat wild Pokémon you can click on them to record their EV yields across your team. You will get notifications which prevent you from overshooting any of your goals, so all you need to focus on is defeating the right Pokémon and remembering to click the button. See the landing page (linked below) for a little demo with screenshots, and make an account to try it yourself! It's free and I don't store or sell any of your data. A Google account is required for authentication but you may change which email the website saves when you pick your username. You may play with the yield search without logging in here.
Power items/macho brace/Pokérus are supported, generations 3-9 and their varying behaviors are supported, and I have worked hard to remain faithful to the actual behavior of the games (even booting up some emulators and using PKHeX to make sure I was applying edge case EVs in the correct order). If anybody can find any mistakes or discrepancies, I take this seriously and will correct it immediately.
This project is still in its early phases so I'm sure there are devices where things don't quite line up. I've spent time ensuring that the website has a good mobile experience, but I definitely need to spend a bit more. Specifically I'd like to fit more information towards the top of the screen, so that you don't have to scroll past 6 stat charts to get to the search bar. Anyway, bug reports and suggestions are welcome. I test for mobile on a Pixel so I'd especially love to know how Safari for iOS breaks my site.

So my local drop-off point for yodel has been closed for a bit due to some issues.. so I went and dropped off my package at another place last night. When I send a parcel, the tracking almost immediately updates. I just checked the reviews of that place (should have done this sooner ugh) and there are so many BAD reviews about how they steal packages or will open your packages and replace them with something cheap. I posted some Dior items so I'm quite worried..
I only took pictures of how I wrapped the items but not them packaged. Also, this woman proceeded to RIP my receipts in front of me so what the hell do I do when the buyer tells me they never got their items? I'm so annoyed because I know it's my fault but I'm introverted and didn't have the courage to call the lady out for it.
I'm planning on going back to the place and demand a receipt. I still have the barcodes so I guess I can do that. I will probably ask for the parcels back too and open them up to take pictures because I cannot be bothered to deal with items being stolen by this shop.

Hi- I'm curious if there are general principles / frameworks for coming up with ideas for items that affect gameplay.
Just to use battle royale as an example:

• How does Fortnite think of the Disco Ball?
• How does Apex Legends think of the Arc Star?
• How does CoD Warzone think of the Snapshot Grenade?

Do people just come up with random ideas and then say "hey I like that idea"? Or are there frameworks (e.g., tied to the classes of things that players do) that can be used to structure the ideation process?

The idea of taxing unhealthy food has been pitched in the past, in an effort to combat obesity and the general trend of poor health outcomes in developed nations such as Australia.
Now, I am not advocating for this. I understand something like this would be both extremely controversial but also supremely difficult to implement. For instance, who defines what is healthy? Where is the cut off? Will it further incentivise food companies to 'hide' unhealthy ingredients?

- Junk food. Used to throw in a pack or 2 or chips and some lollies etc. Plus side - coupled with less eating out and no junk food my husband lost 6kg hahah

So, why am I sharing these thoughts and observations?
Given we are a money-conscious bunch, we can get bogged down in the costs and values of products, forgetting that our health is priceless. It shocked me that people needed the cost of potato chips to rise so dramatically, before reconsidering purchasing them. There is so much junk being shoved down our throats via either direct advertising or strategic placement on supermarket shelves.
It is a myth that eating well is necessarily expensive. A large Big Mac meal is now about $13. Cost-effectiveness is no longer a reason to choose fast-food. It's simple laziness and/or poor nutritional knowledge.
Next time you calculate the value of a food item, consider not only the monetary cost, but also the lifelong health costs of poor decisions. Too many chips and you won't live long enough to access that Super you have been making extra contributions towards.
Finally, how do I justify this post on a finance sub? Doctor appointments, life-long medication, surgeries and rehabilitation are expensive. It's far better to be proactive than reactive when it comes to your health. Unlike a poor financial situation, you can't always come back from a poor health situation.
