STRATEGY TIPS
This is the only type of event where point producing items can be stockpiled ahead of time; for info and links to guides on bubbling as a storage option, please visit the
Community FAQ.
The following are the most efficient or popular ways to earn points: - Tier 2 nests of most breeds yield 900 points per tap, for a total of 3,600 to 6,300 points per nest.
- High level Goal Stars are an excellent source of points; the exact number of taps available varies by level and random chance.
- L6 Star- 1056, L5 Star- 330, L4 Star- 99
- Level 2 Materials Chests offer unlimited quick and easy points; stockpiling stone bricks gives more flexibility than buying specific chests ahead of time:
- Spectral Chest- 1305, Summoned Chest- 820, Chest of Beasts- 300, Solid Gold Chest- 80, Phobos Chest- 40
- Higher level free chests all yield well:
- Treasure: L7- 1690, L6- 530, L5- 165, L4- 50
- Grimm: L4- 792, L3- 240, L2- 72
- Season: L4- 330, L3- 100, L2- 30
- Bountiful (Level) Chests- 150
- Kala’s Rucksacks- 250
- High level Life Trees can be harvested for quick points:
- Life Orbs: L9- 1560, L8- 500, L7- 160, L6- 50
- These chains recharge fast and give unlimited taps; note that multiple mid-level items may earn more than one or two higher-level items.

No Points TROUBLESHOOTING
If the event is not showing up or glitches are affecting your play:
- Try hard closing and then relaunching your game.
- If your device is running hot, stop playing and allow it to cool down.
- Try rebooting your device (ie, turn it completely off, then back on and allow it to fully boot up before relaunching the game).
- Try rebooting your wifi router (if you have access).
- Try switching to a completely different internet source.
- If you’re suddenly experiencing multiple issues like lagging or error messages, close the game and try again after an hour or two; events are server-based, and sometimes activity on that end can cause temporary problems.
- If nothing here helps, contact Gram Games Support through the in-game link or the official website for help figuring out what’s wrong.
General Technical Warnings:
- Cloud Save is still unreliable: according to the developer, it is not safe to be used and should be left turned off.
- Den Chests: To reduce your risk of missing chests or uncounted points, avoid playing while game servers are processing the cycle change.
- Saving your Progress: Make sure you travel to the World Map screen before closing your game to save your progress; saving immediately after earning or making high-value items is also recommended.

2023.05.30 16:40 I__Zackk Steam download speed extremely slow
My steam download speed have been awfully slow lately and I have no idea why.
I realized the problem when i started downloading Destiny 2 three days ago and I noticed the awfully long download time (12+ hours) so I checked the download speed and for some reason it is stuck at around 2.4MB/s. (Disk Usage is identical to the download speed aswell)
I wanted to find out what the problem was so I went over to Epic Games and started a download for a random game and sure enough I got my usual download speed of 10-14 MB/s so I'm pretty sure this is an issue I have only with steam since Epic Games works just fine.
I went on the internet and contacted steam support about the issue to try and resolve it but nothing worked, I've checked all my Downloads settings in steam and made sure I'm not limiting my download speed in any way, I have changed the Download region to some other regions close by and I've cleared the download cache but nothing worked.
I did a network speed test right before writing this and here are the results: Download Speed: 106,36 Mbit/s Upload Speed: 10,83 Mbit/s Answertime: 5,65ms
Like I mentioned before I did reach out to steam support where I was redirected to four different articles which they thought might help me and said if these articles doesn't help I should go to a diagnosis/repair shop. Here are the articles they mentioned:
Slow Downloads and Connection to Content Servers,
Troubleshooting Network Connectivity,
Required Ports for Steam,
How do I diagnose and report network problems? In the
"How do I diagnose and report network problems?" article it mentions doing a ping test which i performed with my routers IP and with
youtube.com. Here are the results of my ping tests:
ping -t youtube.comPackets: Sent = 86, Received = 86, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:Minimum = 6ms, Maximum = 236ms, Average = 104ms
ping -l 1300 youtube.comPackets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:Minimum = 16ms, Maximum = 164ms, Average = 60ms
ping -t "my router adress"Packets: Sent = 55, Received = 55, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 139ms, Average = 46ms
ping -l 1300 "my router adress"Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 49ms, Average = 12ms
All of the above tests were made while downloading Destiny 2
I don't really understand how to check if the ports in the "Required Ports for Steam" article are open so I haven't done that and I also don't really understand how to open the configuration view in windows defender firewall so i skipped the troubleshooting steps for the "
Using a Firewall with Steam" article.
I don't have any anti-virus software other than the default Windows 11 Virus & threat protection.
If you have any further questions about anything or would like me to do some further diagnosis and/or troubleshooting then please tell me how and I will get to it as quick as possible.
Any help or attempt at help is much appreciated =)

The Race
It all comes back to Le Mans. A century ago, people asked ‘Could a car continue to drive for 24 hours straight?’, an event was made to test that theory, and a legacy in racing, motorsport, and motoring was born. The 24 Heures du Mans is the holy grail of endurance motor racing, and brings up its Centenary edition this year. In its 100 year history, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is recognised as the most prestigious and gruelling test for innovations and improvements in motorsport technology. Technologies such as disk and air brakes, streamlined bodywork, fuel, oil, and lubricant improvements, improvements to engine efficiency and longevity, even things as simple as LED lighting and windscreen wiper blades have been trialled and tested at Le Mans. The normally hot conditions in the middle of June stretch the limits of reliability, with all the teams knowing that in order to beat their competitors, they must first beat the event. A variety of different engine configurations, displacements, positions, fuels, and hybrids have won over the history of the event. So far, petrol-fuelled traditional piston engines have been the most successful. Mazda managed to win using a Wankel Rotary engine in 1991 with the Mazda 787b (oh god listen to that sound!), while Audi was the first to win with an alternate fuel, taking victory in the diesel-powered R10 TDI in 2006. 2012 ushered in the era of the Hybrid, with Audi taking victory in the R18 e-tron Quattro, featuring a flywheel hybrid engine.
Qualifying
The Qualifying format for Le Mans is unique to the event, and called Hyperpole. In this format, all classes are permitted to use the track in the 1 hour qualifying session on Wednesday evening. The top 6 cars from each of the 4 classes then progress to the Hyperpole session on Thursday night, which sets the top of the grid for each class. This means that each class will be segregated on the final grid.

The Circuit de la Sarthe covers 13.6 kilometres of the French country side. It combines the permanent race components of the Ford Chicanes, the pit straight, under the Dunlop Bridge and through to Tertre Rouge as well as the normal everyday roads of the Mulsanne straight through to Indianapolis and Arnage. The track has gone through many iterations over the years; originally, the cars raced into the heart of the city, turning just before the river Sarthe, before hurtling down the 8.6 kilometre straight. In 1932, the circuit removed the journey into the city, and more closely resembled the track we see today. Here’s a video of Mike Hawthorn touring the circuit with a camera and microphone attached in 1956, one year after his involvement in the Le Mans disaster. The addition of the Porsche Curves and the Ford Chicanes in 1972 added an extra dimension to the high speed, fast flowing track. In the late 80’s, the Group C prototype cars would reach over 400km/h, achieving average speeds of almost 250km/h in qualifying for the entire lap. This is an onboard of Derek Bell’s Porsche 956 in 1983, showing the ridiculous speeds on this configuration of the circuit. This configuration remained relatively unchanged right up to 1990, until FIA mandations required that for the circuit to be sanctioned, it must not have a straight longer than 2km. The 6km Mulsanne straight was cut down into three relatively equal length portions by two chicanes, giving the iteration of the circuit used today. Allan McNish takes you on an onboard lap of the 2008 circuit in this video. McNish is one of the gods of the modern prototype era, winning Le Mans 3 times; once with Porsche and twice with Audi. For a more comprehensive focus on the track, John Hindhaugh’s track walk takes you on a 30 minute exploration of the track, with in depth focus on corners like the Dunlop Esses, Tertre Rouge, Mulsanne Corner, and the Ford Chicanes.
For some modern on boards, check out the fastest ever lap in the Circuit de la Sarthe: Kamui Kobayashi's 3:14.791 in 2017 Q2, and last year’s Hyperpole lap, by Brendon Hartley, setting a 3:24.408
The Dunlop Bridge
The iconic Dunlop Bridge has been a part of the Le Mans track since 1932, making it the oldest Dunlop Bridge at any track. This part of the track requires a good launch out of the first chicane before cresting the brow of the hill, and plunging through the esses out onto the Mulsanne straight. As the LMP cars are much more maneuverable, caution must be taken passing the slower GT traffic, as Allan McNish discovered in 2011.
Tertre Rouge
Tertre Rouge is the corner that launches the cars onto the long Mulsanne straight. Maintaining momentum through this corner as it opens on exit is imperative to ensure maximum straight line speed heading down the first part of the Mulsanne. The undulation in the road makes for fantastic viewing at night, with some magic images of the Porsches throwing up sparks on the exit in 2014. Finally, this was the location of Allan Simonsen’s fatal crash in mixed conditions in the 2013 Le Mans. The Danish flags will fly at the corner in his memory.
Mulsanne Corner
After the incredibly long Mulsanne straight, the Mulsanne corner nowadays features a subtle right hand kink before the tight 90 degree turn. Here, the cars decelerate from 340 km/h down to below 100 km/h, resulting in a brilliant opportunity to overtake. Again, care must be taken overtaking slower traffic; unaware drivers have caught out faster cars attempting to pass through the kink, such as Anthony Davidson’s spectacular crash in 2012 resulting in a broken vertebra for Davidson.
Indianapolis and Arnage
The Indanapolis and Arnage complex is one of the most committed areas of the track. Hurtling down the hill from the Mulsanne Corner, the road suddenly bends to the right, a corner which only the bravest prototype drivers take flat out, followed by a beautifully cambered open left hander taken in third gear. A short sprint leads the cars into Arnage, the slowest point on the track. The tight right hander was the scene of heartbreak for Toyota in 2014 when the leading #7 broke down and had to be retired after an FIA sensor melted and shut off the electronics. Kazuki Nakajiima was unable to make it to the pits, leaving him stranded on the circuit.
The Porsche Curves
At a terrifyingly high speed, the Porsche Curves is the most committed part of the lap. Getting caught behind GT traffic in this section can mean losing phenomenal amounts of time. This was the site of Loic Duval’s horrific crash in practice for the 2014 event. Keeping momentum through the flowing right-left-right handers that lead into Maison Blanche requires 100% commitment and ultimate precision, with severe punishment for getting it wrong. The exit of the Porsche Curves underwent significant change in 2020, with additional run-off added in the middle part of the section. This has turned the treacherous and claustrophobic sweeping left-hander into an open and sweeping corner, encouraging every little bit of road to be used on the exit. What it hasn’t changed is the terrific consequences for making a mistake
The Ford Chicanes
The final chapter in the 13.6km rollercoaster that is Le Mans is the Ford Chicanes. Two tight left-right handers with massive kerbs are all that separates the driver from the finish line. Watching the cars bounce over the kerbs in beautiful slow motion is certainly something to behold, but 24 hours of mistreatment can lead to suspension and steering issues. The drivers have to be attentive until the very end, lest they throw it all away in the last minutes of the race.
The Circuit de la Sarthe requires over 85% of the lap on full throttle, with the cars accelerating from less than 100km/h to over 300km/h five times each lap. The challenge of having a car finish Le Mans is in itself, an achievement.
The Classes
The WEC consists of three classes on track at once, resulting in three separate races on track each in their own battle for 24 Hours. The classes are split based on their car type, with LMH and LMDh machinery facing off in the Hypercar class, purpose built prototypes with a spec engine and gearbox battling in LMP2, and GT machinery racing in GTE. Each class has its own set of regulations, driver requirements, and relevance for the Le Mans event.
Hypercar
The current top class of endurance sportscars is Hypercar, combining cars built to Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) and Le Mans Daytona (LMDh) specifications. Fighting it out will be LMH machinery from Toyota, Ferrari, Peugeot, Glickenhaus and Peugeot, while Porsche and Cadillac will be racing in LMDh cars. The LMH cars are bespoke sportscars, designed to a strict set of requirements dictating maximum power, drag coefficient, and weight, amongst other parameters, intended to limit the cost of the category. LMDh machines on the other hand are based on the future LMP2 chassis offerings, with manufacturers able to develop their own engines and bodywork, aligning with the power and drag coefficients of LMH. As part of cost-cutting, the Hypercar class is also subject to a Balance of Performance (BoP) formula, to level the playing field and ensure good racing! Hypercars are a little slower than their LMP1 predecessors, with lap times around the 3:24 mark for the Circuit de la Sarthe, which is on par with the 2014 LMP1 cars.
LMP2
The second prototype class is LMP2, and provides an excellent platform for endurance racing on a budget. The LMP2 class features a spec drivetrain and gearbox, using a Gibson V8 producing 400kW, and a selection of three chassis to choose from, of which the Oreca 07 has been the chassis of choice. This ensures that the competition in the class is very tight, and often comes down to the drivers and the team’s performance instead of just having the best car. While LMP2 was capable of 3:25 lap times in years previous, part of the ‘stratification’ of classes with Hypercar’s inclusion, the LMP2 class has lost some power and had some weight added. This should put LMP2 at the heels of the LMH pace, but with laptimes outside the 3:28 mark.
LMP2 is the first class that must feature amateur rated drivers. The Amateurs must drive for a minimum of 6 hours in the car over the course of the race. This means that there's an element of strategy of when to use your amateur driver throughout the race, as the amateur driver is generally slower than the Pros. The pro drivers in this class range from up and coming talent, former F1 drivers, and some of the best sportscar pilots in the world, and with 244 cars in this class, LMP2 is sure to be a hotbed of action over the 24 hours.
LMGTE-Am
GT class cars are cars that are derived from production models, and feature some of the most iconic cars and brands battling it out at the top of the field. The GTE cars are on the border of aero dependency, and can lap Le Mans in around 3:45 in a professional driver’s hands.
This year is the last year of the GTE class, and features 21 cars in a Pro-Am category, with cars from Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, and Chevrolet on the grid. Despite the lack of a Pro category, the driver quality in GTE-Am is still incredibly high, with factory drivers, young stars, experienced champions and every level of experience in between on the grid, with each car featuring two Bronze or Silver rated drivers. With two amateur drivers, the strategy considerations multiply. While GTE-Am might be the class focussed on the least over the course of the race, the stories that come from this class are phenomenal, and it's well worth following.
The GT classes feature a range of different cars and configurations, and to equalise each of these against each other, the class goes through a process called 'Balance of Performance' or BoP. The organisers can adjust each individual car's weight, fuel tank, air restrictor, turbo boost pressures, and aero performance to alter performance levels to enable the different cars to race competitively. This can sometimes be contentious as every team will feel hard done by, but it is a necessary evil to having the variety of cars on the grid.
Innovative Car
Each year, there is the option for an Innovative Car, with untested or innovative technology, allowed to enter in it’s own category. In years past, this has allowed for entries from the Deltawing, or a modified LMP2 to allow amputees to race.
This year, the Innovative Car entry is a modified Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Next-Gen NASCAR, run by Hendrick Motorsports. The Next-Gen NASCAR features modifications to allow it to run safely on the Circuit de la Sarthe, and will be driven by multiple NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button, and Le Mans Overall Winner Mike Rockenfeller.
The Legends
Part of the allure of the Le Mans 24 Hours is the history, and the legends steeped in history over the course of its 88 previous editions. The race has had many headline battles in its history - periods of time where two or three teams went toe to toe for years, with the drivers, cars, and brands embroiled in these battles given the chance to elevate themselves above the rest, and show their prowess.
In 2019, we at /WEC, took our normal Le Mans Legends celebrations to a new level; each week, members of the community have been writing reviews on some of the closest, most fascinating finishes in Le Mans history! You can check out these reports below!

The early races were dominated by the Bentley company in their Speed 6, who won 5 of the first 7 races. Cars were separated into classes by their engine displacement, and the overall winner was based on distance covered. If two cars had finished with the same number of laps, the car with the smaller displacement was declared the winner. The race wasn't run during the second world war, and comparatively very little information is available on the stories of the early days of Le Mans.
After the second world war, teams such as Jaguar, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Aston Martin became the dominant teams. This era featured the legendary Jaguar D type, the Mercedes Benz 300 SLR, the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, and the Aston Martin DBR1. Jaguar won 5 times between 1951 and 1957, followed by an era of Ferrari dominance. Drivers such as Mike Hawthorn, Stirling Moss, Juan Manuel Fangio, and John Fitch became household names as Le Mans became a battle between German engineering and British "garagistas".
Ferrari and Ford was the story of the 60's, with Ferrari winning 6 times straight before Ford won four in a row with the GT40 Mk II, taking their first win in 1966. The story of their rivalry is legendary in it's own right - Henry Ford had almost successfully bought out the Ferrari motor company, only to be knocked back by Enzo himself at the 11th hour. In retaliation, Ford planned to hurt Ferrari where it mattered most; on the track. The Ford GT40 was so comprehensively dominant that it won the 1966 edition 21 laps ahead of the next car back - a Porsche 906/6. None of the Ferrari 330P3's finished the race. This battle gave drivers like Bruce Mclaren, Dan Gurney, and Jacky Ickx their first Le Mans victories, and propelled them to the forefront of motorsport stardom at the height of motorsport's popularity.
The 1970's saw the dawn of Porsche, with the 917k taking the brand's first win in 1970, with the same car winning the following year in the hands of Helmut Marko (yes, that Helmut Marko). It would be 5 years before Porsche would win again, with Matra taking 3 victories in the interim, each at the hands of Henri Pescarolo. Porsche returned with the 936 and the 956/962c dominating the race for the next 20 years. In fact, from 1970, Porsche won 12 times in 18 events, including 7 in a row, and they miiight have been a bit cheeky about it. Amongst these 12 wins, there were 4 for both Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell, and two for IMSA legend Hurley Haywood, as well as the first win for the Joest team in 1984. This era coincided with the introduction, and subsequent destruction of the Group C sportscar formula, widely regarded as the best Sportscar championship regulations of all time. Porsche’s dominance was eventually ended by Jaguar in the XJR-9LM, at the height of Group C’s magic. Ickx's 6 wins at this stage had earned him the nickname 'Mr Le Mans', a fitting title for one of the best drivers in the world at the time.
GT cars became a force to be reckoned with at the end of the Group C era, with classes being split into LMGTP and LMP. McLaren and Porsche had wins in GTP cars, in the F1 GTR and the 911 GT1 respectively, while Porsche, BMW and Peugeot scored LMP wins. 1997 saw the first win for Tom Kristensen, while the following year Allan McNish took his first victory, starting their journeys into the legend books of Le Mans.
The 2000’s ushered in the era of Audi, with all 13 of their wins coming since the turn of the century. GTP was disbanded due to safety issues, being replaced by GT1 and GT2. Audi picked up wins in the R8, the R10, the R15, and the R18, often dominating the might of the Peugeot 908. Audi's dominance elevated not only their drivers to legend status, but also their team managers, car designers, and race engineers. People like Reinhold Joest (team manager), Dr Wolfgang Ullrich (Audisport director), Ulrich Baretzky (engine designer), Leena Gade, Howden Haynes (race engineers) behind the wall and Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen, Rinaldo Capello, Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer have become household names in the sport not only for their wins, but their longevity and domination. Audi's dominance was only broken by a win for Bentley in 2003, running basically an Audi under a British racing green skin, and Peugeot in 2009, before being ended for good by Porsche in 2015. After both Porsche and Audi left the top class, Toyota rose to dominance, taking the last 3 Le Mans events in a row!
Between 2015 and 2017, Porsche added to their victories, now holding a record 19 overall victories at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Audi trail with 13, with Ferrari, Jaguar and Bentley holding the next three positions. Toyota finally took their first overall victory in 2018, and have won every year since. Tom Kristensen is has the most victories at Le Mans, with 9 overall victories over his career with Porsche, Audi and Bentley, inheriting the title of Mr Le Mans.

Streaming and Television
In the past, the FIAWEC Broadcast has started from Qualifying Practice. We are awaiting confirmation if that is the case this year – Streams for non-FIAWEC sessions after that point will be subject to the organisers of those series broadcasting those sessions.
- Official stream OUTSIDE US ONLY - The Le Mans package gives you access to all WEC sessions (Qualifying, Warm Up and the Race) with a choice of on boards, cross platform compatibility, and up to 5 devices connected at once. Additionally, replays of the event are free after the event. Official comms headed by Martin Haven, Anthony Davidson, and Graham Goodwin, who in my personal opinion properly nail the tone of the event. Has been known to get overloaded and crash however
- Eurosport will likely be broadcasting the event in a variety of locales throughout Europe. This will be updated when confirmed
- Radio Le Mans will be streaming live radio for every session
For American audiences, unfortunately the Official stream is geoblocked for your area. Information on how to watch will be updated when confirmed
- [Official TV Broadcast distribution](COMING SOON) Find out how to watch in your region!
Any further updates on TV or Streaming distribution will be added as they are released!

The other day I put my Windows 10 PC into hibernation when I went to bed, and everything seemed to be ok when I turned it back on the yesterday morning, until after an hour or so, suddenly anything that interacted with file explorer started crashing or locking up.
I rebooted, and was greeted with the dreaded INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE BSOD. I went through the process to rebuild the BCD, and struggled due to apparently the bootrec not existing. After more troubleshooting I decided to remove all of my drives and only have the boot drive installed to do the rebuild, but when I powered on the PC I forgot to plug the recovery flash drive back in, and the PC booted fine! Really confused, I proceeded to reinstall each drive until I found that one of the secondary drives was causing the issue.
I plugged the drive into my Linux server and when I mounted it, the server mounted it as read only with the following message
The disk contains an unclean file system (0, 0). Metadata kept in Windows cache, refused to mount. Falling back to read-only mount because the NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting.) Could not mount read-write, trying read-only
Looking online I found that sometimes this can happen due to the Fast Startup function of Windows, so I disabled that, and reinstalled the drive, and sure enough the BSOD stopped appearing. The problem however is that the PC just hung on the loading wheel screen indefinitely.
Plugged the drive into Windows via a USB dock and it appeared, but caused Explorer to hang with the loading bar never quite reaching full in the url that is typical of a bad read. Plugged it back into my server, mounted and shared it. The drive is readable to Windows in this state, and I am even able to copy some things from it. However on random files the copy will drop to 0KB/s and stay there indefinitely, and from testing and a server monitor I set up it seems that it's specific sectors that are having errors.
Errors appearing on the server monitor are:
Buffer I/O error on dev sdf2, logical block , async page read blk_update_request: I/O error, dev sdf, sector op 0x0:(READ) flags 0x80700 phys_seg prio class 0 blk_update_request: I/O error, dev sdf, sector op 0x0:(READ) flags 0x0 phys_seg 1 prio class 0
Any attempt to run repair or SMART checks from the server results in a message of "target is busy," "timed out," or similar, and trying to run similar such as chkdsk on Windows just fail to start at all, and will hang without progress until manually cancelled. I can't even set the flag to run chkdsk at boot.

With all of this troubleshooting I am thinking there is either a drive failure, or major corruption on certain sectors on the drive. My concern however is obviously I'd like to recover what I can, or indeed the whole drive. Is there anything I can do in Ubuntu to resolve this issue? I admittedly only have a basic knowledge of Linux in general so there may be things I'm simply not aware of. Any assistance would be appreciated

2023.05.30 07:09 BlueMANAHat My ex wife has had free frontier fios TV for a decade now... how is this still working?
So a decade ago my now ex wife and I had frontier fios tv and internet with all the movie channels. It was like 180 bucks a month and we were looking to do the whole cable cutting thing so I called them to cancel the TV package and keep the internet for $55 a month. A month goes by, the bill goes down but the TV package remained active. I called their customer service and told them it was still on and they said they would turn it off, but they never did... Every single movie channel we had when we had the package still works...
Years go by and it still works... We once had the tech come troubleshoot the internet and I hid the cable box out of fear hed figure it was still on but nothing was said...
We get a divorce in 2017, she keeps the house, it still works..
Fast forward to today and I try her login on HBO max from my home and it works (hey its my email address dangit!)... full free access... Also works for other streaming services like starz
Whats wild is they dont even offer TV packages out here any more, only internet.
Any techs have any idea how this is possible? It boggles my mind...

2023.05.30 04:28 phoenixlegend7 Can't grant MacroDroid Helper v1.8 WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permissions
Hello,
I got the following phone:
Moto G Pure 2021 2-Day battery Unlocked Made for US by Motorola 3/32GB 13MP Camera Deep Indigo
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09BTB5MKT/ It has an Android 11 installed.
I'm trying to grant MacroDroid Helper v1.8 the WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permissions.
I'm able to connect to the phone through adb from my pc, and I run the following command (some info was censored):
C:\adb>adb -s 192.168.X.X:AAAAA shell pm grant com.arlosoft.macrodroid.helper android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS C:\adb
As you can see, I don't get any errors, but when I try to check what permissions are granted for it, this is what I get:

2023.05.30 04:25 phoenixlegend7 Can't grant MacroDroid Helper v1.8 WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permissions
Hello,
I got the following phone:

2023.05.30 02:12 dsciastore Seeking Help: Troubleshooting Error in Antminer L7
| https://preview.redd.it/u4njp5uxjw2b1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58b12c50dde545b052230601287255dc3c09913e Hello fellow Redditors, I'm currently encountering an issue with my Antminer L7 and I'm seeking guidance on how to resolve it. Here are the error details: time="2023-04-29 18:11:33" level=error pid=918 msg="miner has no sn!" time="2023-04-29 18:11:54" level=warn pid=918 msg="power voltage can not meet the target! centi_voltage 1600 min_fb_vol 0.000000 qualified_vol 12.000000" time="2023-04-29 18:11:55" level=warn pid=918 msg="power voltage can not meet the target! centi_voltage 1600 min_fb_vol 0.000000 qualified_vol 12.000000" time="2023-04-29 18:11:56" level=warn pid=918 msg="power voltage can not meet the target! centi_voltage 1600 min_fb_vol 0.000000 qualified_vol 12.000000" time="2023-04-29 18:11:56" level=error pid=918 msg="check_feedback_voltage error!" time="2023-04-29 18:11:56" level=error pid=918 msg="power init error!" Link full log: https://we.tl/t-uxCQ9pPmI4 I have already tried disassembling the device multiple times and thoroughly cleaning it. However, the issue still persists. I am particularly concerned about the "power voltage can not meet the target!" messages. At this point, I'm unsure which component to replace for testing purposes due to the associated costs. It could potentially be an issue with the PSU (power supply unit), the control board, or even the hash boards. If any of you have experience with Antminer L7 or similar mining devices, I would greatly appreciate any assistance or troubleshooting suggestions you can provide. 2023.05.29 19:01 Able_Possession8736 A Comprehensive Guide to Pro Football Video Game Covers
Another Madden $70 re-skin is upon us, so let's take a moment to explore the history of all the people who have been featured on the cover of an pro football video game.
While the selection of the Madden cover athlete is now an event, there was a wild wild west period of football games from the 80s to the mid-2000s where anybody with a computer could and would build football games, with the selection of the cover being all over the place. Roger Craig was the first cover athlete in 1985 on NFL Challenge for MS-DOS. Madden's first game was in 1988, then by the mid-90s getting a cover athlete or spokesman for your football game was pretty standard.
I wanted to compile those games and covers based on this
Wiki article (and a few that it was missing from that list) and see who was on the main cover of all of those games (some games were almost completely irrelevant, so I left them off this list). Some of these may have more alternates with other people, but I'll stick with the main cover.
Covers by Position

Obviously QBs dominate here, but I didn't realize how little defensive players have been on football game covers (9%), with none being on a cover since Richard Sherman in 2014. I'd love to see more defensive players on the Madden cover. Who would be the most likely defensive guy in the near future? Aaron Donald, TJ Watt, Nick Bosa, Myles Garrett, or Sauce Gardner?
Covers by Team
https://preview.redd.it/8f29df4ygl2b1.png?width=600&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=3b93f8a4ddb26b2cee1f6abd74652f44b7fbfdcb If a team's player was not a lead on the cover or was not any identifiable player, I gave them a *
The Re-skins/Commanders?, Jags, Panthers, and Bills have appeared on a cover but never with an athlete as the lead or with a real person. Only the Texans have never appeared at all on the cover of any football video game. I'd say the Bills are most likely to get one next (Josh Allen), then the Jags (Trevor Lawrence), then the Panthers/Texans if either hits a home run with Young or Stroud. The Commanders have a long road ahead to getting a feature cover athlete, unless you ask Sam Howell who thinks he should be this year's Madden cover athlete.
Most Prolific Cover People

McNabb is the only guy to appear in multiple covers in the same year. Also of note, 7 athletes were on a cover without ever making a pro bowl in their careers: Brad Muster, Pat Terrell, Gordon Laro, Chris Zorich, Albert Fontenot, William Floyd, and Peyton Hillis (Hillis was the only one to be the primary cover athlete).
I'll list all the games and their respective covers by their era below. I'll also attach some of my favorite covers from each era. If the cover person was a Hall of Famer, I'll mark them with a
\). If they're very likely to make the HoF but they're not yet eligible, I'll mark them with a

We didn't see the first cover athlete until 1985 with Roger Craig. They didn't really become standard until the early to mid-90s after Madden became a big selling point for the early Madden games. The dip in the last 2 decades is because there's just less games, so any generic football games will have a large effect.
The Early Days: 1965-1982
1978: Football! for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 was the first football video game with a cover, but obviously the cover athletes are generic. The 2D Era: 1983-1996
1985: NFL Challenge was the first football game with a real cover athlete (Roger Craig). This was the original bar for realism in football simulation, to where it was used in a 1988 ESPN Program \"NFL Dream Season\" where they simulated the greatest teams of all time against each other. 1988: John Madden Football released on the Apple II, MS-DOS, and Commodore 64/128 (partly being developed by Bethesda), which was the beginning of the most dominant franchise in football video games. They featured no NFL teams due to a lack of an NFL license. 1991: Tecmo Super Bowl is probably still my personal favorite football video game. It's totally timeless, and if you pick the Raiders then you're a cheater. Year | Game | Cover Athlete | Team | Position |

The Parity Era: 1997-2004
1997: NFL Blitz came from Midway studios and was a breath of fresh air for football games. They had mostly been stagnant trying to hone in on realistic simulation in 2D form, whereas Blitz came out in 3D and threw realism out the window. I definitely spent too much money on the arcade version of this game. 2000: Madden 2001 started the tradition of having their games feature a cover athlete in this format, which consolidated into nearly everyone following this trend. 2001: Backyard Football 2002 was a more kid-friendly version of a football video game, and they also had other games for other professional sports. I definitely played this a lot on my old Windows Me computer, and Pablo Sanchez is a god. 2002: NFL Fever was Microsoft's foray into football video games on the original Xbox. All 3 of their games featured Peyton Manning as the cover athlete. 2002: NFL GameDay 2003 was 989 Sports' exclusive for Sony on the PlayStation platform. 2004: ESPN NFL 2K5 was the last great football game before the NFL exclusively gave their license to the EA. It was this game that definitely led to NFL's decision though, as they slashed their release price to an unheard of $20, which forced Madden 2004 to release at $30 instead of the typical $50. This pissed off the NFL, who decided to have less competition instead.
The Madden Era: 2005-Present
2005: NFL Street 2 was the second in the NFL Street series as a kind of spiritual successor to NFL Blitz. EA tried to have some diversity in their football video games outside of the Madden franchise, so they had the short-lived Street franchise under \"EA BIG\" 2006: NFL Head Coach was a new perspective on NFL Games where you play as the coach instead of the players. I enjoyed these although they could get a little boring. 2007: All Pro Football 2K8 was 2K's attempt at keeping the 2K football franchise alive without the coveted NFL license. They got three HoF players on the cover in Elway, Barry, and Rice, but not the actual license to any NFL team. This game received praise for its mechanics, but poor sales showed that a non-NFL licensed game would always struggle to make it. 2011: Madden 12 was maybe the last good Madden game. Also, Peyton Hillis. The only guy on a NFL football game cover to never make a Pro Bowl. This guy is an actual hero though, so good for him. 2019: Doug Flutie's Maximum Football was a mix of american and CFL football as another attempt at making a football game without the NFL license to poor results. They have announced a new game as a free to play title on new platforms, but no games in this franchise have released since 2020. 2020: Retro Bowl is a mobile game more in the style of Tecmo Super Bowl than Madden. It's probably the most successful non-Madden game since ESPN NFL 2K5, and it's pretty fun. People should definitely give this one a try since it's free to play on any mobile platform. 2022: Madden 23 gave the cover back to Madden for the first time since 1999 to honor the passing of the legend John Madden. Unfortunately the game inside the cover was crap, has been the style of Madden games for over a decade. Year | Game | Cover Athlete | Team | Position |

2023.05.29 17:58 LowDrag_82 New oled owner, need some help with double image ghosting artifacts while moving in games
Hey guys, do these LG oleds do 60hz native or does it always use 120hz? Im getting some weird motion ghosting artifacts when moving around in doom eternal and metro exodus (only two I’ve tested so far). In dooms 120fps mode it completely goes away but 60fps titles have these weird ghosting artifact around things when moving. It’s very annoying! Is this because it’s oled? My IPS 165hz panel does not do anything like this. With this LG C2 I just got It’s almost like BFI on a 30fps game with a 60hz panel except in this there’s no back light pulsing, just the motion artifacts. This is happening on my pc hooked up to it as well so it’s not a Xbox settings issue I would imagine. 120fps content looks completely normal, like what 60fps content looks like on a 60hz panel. It’s just 60fps content on this new 120hz panel I’m getting the weird motion artifacts.
To troubleshoot this, I’ve tried enabling pc in the input menu for Xbox / PC and I’ve tried turning off ALLM, DV, G-Sync/VRR, Freesync, I’ve changed xbox back to 60hz settings. Nothing I do stops this weird artifacting when moving the camera that’s akin to having BFI on but no pulsating. It’s hard to explain. All I know is my cheap vizio does not have this issue at all and 60fps titles on it runs like a normal 60fps game on a regular pc monitor. I’m beginning to think this is because it’s an oled and nothing I can do will fix it. It’s driving me nuts and it’s enough to return this C2 and go back to my trusty $350 55” Vizio 2019 QD 60hz panel. I looked at the LG owners guide stickied on here and frankly was very intimidated by the sheer volume and complexity of the guide, I skimmed through it and did not see anything related to fixing this particular issue, possible I missed it.

2023.05.29 05:30 fuzzygroove New Install - No cams appear to work (Local Cams via USB)
Hi All,
I am quite new to Agent DVR, but very excited to get it all set up and working if I can. Initially I have performed a basic install onto a Machine running MacOS, the installation via CLI appeared to go without issue, I have configured it to start at boot and run as a background service. I can also load the web interface on the host machine, the UI works as expected, and for testing / learning I have two cameras connected - A USB camera (Microsoft), and the built in FaceTime Webcam. The Issue is both the cameras simply show an error message and a black output. There seems to be some issue with AgentDVR connecting. I have verified that the cams are working fine from other applications, and verified that I have FFMpeg v6.0 installed. I have also attempted to specify the resolution of the cameras in advanced settings, tried differed source configs with no luck.
This is a snippet of the log showing the connection difficulties when it tries to connect to both cameras (for testing I called them simply Camera 1 and Camera 2):

I would really appreciate it if anyone has any idea, or even just an idea of where I might be able to begin troubleshooting? Before coming here I reviewed the documentation, but was not really able to find an answer to my problem there.
Thanks in advance.

2023.05.28 23:12 mingoose69 Plothole in The Fire Nation Royal Family!!!!
| I was just thinking about atla, as one does, and suddenly started wondering if 2/3 generations would even fill up 100 years... Anyways I started checking birth dates and realised the whole thing makes 0 sense!! The fire nation royal family tree as shown on the atla wiki First, let's look at the right side of the family tree. Sozin BG = Before the Air Nomad Genocide AG = After the Air Nomad Genocide Azulon Did my guy Sozin really have Azulon at 82 years old? No fucking way. The age difference between Azulon onwards does seem to more or less check out, tho. He would've been 55 years old when he had Ozai, and we don't know Iroh's exact age but he is estimated to be between 55 and 63. This means azulon would've been between 37 and 45 when he had Iroh. Still a bit on the older side, considering the times its set in and the fact that a monarch needs to ensure he has an heir, especially in a time of war. Ozai Ozai would've been about 28 when he had Zuko, which makes sense. Moving to the right side of the family, it's a bit rockier... Roku We don't know when Roku's daughter, Rina was born. If we say she was born in 12 BG, right before Roku died, she would've been around 76 years old when she had Ursa... Again, no fucking way. When we see Ursa's parents in the The Search comics, they do look quite old while Ursa is merely around 18 years old. So I do guess they realised the age discrepancy by the time they illustrated the comics, but it was too late to change it. Ursa It seems the creators should've added an extra generation on both sides of the family tree, but I do understand that they just didn't catch this plothole. And I also wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't want Roku and Sozin to be so distantly related to Zuko. Roku being his great-grandfather is a pretty big plot-point and I wouldn't want to put one more generation between them either... Another way to solve this would've been to bring Sozin and Roku's birthdates forward and have Roku die right before the air nomad genocide (like 1 BG or something). That would give 12 years more leeway. They could've also moved the whole story back by 10 or 20 years (including the younger generations' birthdates). Then the war would've been going on for 80-90 years when Aang awoke. I know 100 is a beautiful round number, and 'The 100 Year War' sure sounds a lot better than 'The 80 Year War', but it would've gotten rid of the plothole. Anyway, this is just a big ramble and I felt like a genius when I discovered this discrepancy but it isn't really a big issue and it might be common knowledge in the fandom and I just made a fool of myself.... :/ submitted by mingoose69 to TheLastAirbender [link] [comments] |

2023.05.28 19:01 Able_Possession8736 A Comprehensive Guide to Pro Football Video Game Covers

The Re-skins/Commanders?, Jags, Panthers, and Bills have appeared on a cover but never with an athlete as the lead or with a real person. Only the Texans have never appeared at all on the cover of any football video game. I'd say the Bills are most likely to get one next (Josh Allen), then the Jags (Trevor Lawrence), then the Panthers/Texans if either hits a home run with Young or Stroud. The Commanders have a long road ahead to getting a feature cover athlete, unless you ask Sam Howell who thinks he should be this year's Madden cover athlete.

2023.05.28 01:56 road2gundagai I present to you Bonzle, the site with possibly THE WORST PASSWORD SECURITY SYSTEM on the internet
You may never have heard of
Bonzle and that's okay, I never had until recently either. It's an Australian online atlas (and national embarassment as you will soon see) where you can view basic information about locations in the country, upload photos, and contribute basic data points e.g. amenities, landmarks.
Going on to the website you will immediately notice it's age. I have nothing against basic, minimal web design which gets the job done, though what I do have something against, is having NO HTTPS available at all.
Clicking on any of the entry pages, e.g.
Bindoo Hill Nature Reserve on the front page at the time, you will quickly begin to notice other telling features like the undersized on-screen images (probably compressed with consideration of dial-up users in mind), and the eager offer of instructions on adding Bonzle Search to Internet Explorer 7, or Firefox 2.
So it's an old website, big deal, why am I whinging about this on a password/security oriented group? Well go ahead and register as a member. Go on. See for yourself. Hit that green Join Now link, if you have to see to believe it. Or just read on
We've tried to make joining Bonzle as easy as possible: - enter your name and email address and agree to our membership terms;
- choose a username; and
- choose a password;
Okay, okay, standard boilerplate stuff, so far so good,
Page 2 prompts you for a full name, optional date of birth, and email you have to write twice = "
enter again to double check", also clarifying that your name/date are never made public, then what is the point of asking?
Then on page 3, time to pick a username. All good.
Now page 4, the main attraction.
The Bonzle 'three word' password Click on the password underlined in blue below you'd like to use: We want your password to be secure and easy to remember. A password like 'k67AS21xfjrq' is secure, but hard to remember. A password like 'password' or 'maps' is easy to remember but very insecure (it can be easily guessed). Its also a bad idea to use the same password for multiple websites. That's why we came up with a password generator that gives you a choice of password made up of three english words. These passwords are hard to guess but easy to remember. Choose the password that you like the most. If none on the list take your fancy then use the 'more passwords' link for more options. When it comes time to use your password, you don't have to capitalise the first letter of each word. Passwords are not case sensitive. We've capitalised the first letter of each word so its easier to see the words that make up your password. Oh yes that's right. Want to bust out the Bitwarden generator to create an uncrackable "*(VN#&*^(*ugy796dFg923&5"-like code to autofill later? Forget it. Wouldn't want a "hard to remember password" now, would we? Want to put in your usual "cheeseBurger!55" password you've been using on damn near every site since 2004? Forget that too, you can't be trusted to make passwords on your own judgement.
Instead we are given the luxury of choosing between 10 half-arsed, non-case-sensitive passphrases such as "BeautifulApeFuzzy", "RevConstantlyUndisturbed", "AssignRoasterAstonishment" and more. Which to be fair aren't atrociously bad passwords in themselves. But wait, it gets better. To pick your pre-selected password you must click one of the links to proceed.
Yes, pick a link to choose your password. Your pre-selected, non-case-sensitive password. A link with no HTTPS or security whatsoever. And the cherry on top is that you are delivered a polite, convenient email with, you guessed it, your password, once you are done.
Now it's lucky that this is some easily forgettable, hardly relevant website that nobody would ever commit serious time to. The sort of website that has not been maintained since maybe 2009, probably only continues to exist because the owner forgot to cancel the hosting bills on his credit card.
But wow. This is ATROCIOUS. There's upper password length limits. There's storing passwords in plain text. And then there is this monstrosity. Wow.
