2023.06.06 03:57 goop_lizard Disimmurement 1/2

It's good to see you again, I'm sure you've been pretty busy lately. Don't bother ordering anything to eat, this shouldn't take that long. A drink might be in order though. Something strong. Nothing for me, thanks, I've work to do soon.
Now, while a social call would be pleasant I'm afraid I've reached out to you for some important business. I have seen the risen body of the king.
Sit down! Quiet. No need to make a scene, now. I can answer your questions once I've said my piece. We can leave the why for later, it's a bit complicated. Was a bit complicated. Simpler now, but... hard to explain. The how is an easier place to start.
You might think there's no way to slip by unnoticed somewhere as restricted as the exclusion zone - that they'd have sensor drones and satellites flag you the moment you stepped in and you'd be removed within minutes. In most places you'd be right, but the valley of the tomb is not most places. I'm sure you remember the beginning of the raid, before any of us knew what we were getting into. The whole place was covered in a haze so thick we had to tie ropes to eachother just to stay together, and what little sunlight made it through came down wrong. A thin, fetid color that should have been a beautiful gold but felt more like the yellow of rancid grease. The only other light that didn't die five feet from its source was from the constant flashes of actinic lightning that just so happened to drown out any radio signals.
I suppose they could set up the borders farther away, but honestly? I don't think they want to. Nobody sane would ever think of getting in, and they know they're not stopping anything that comes out. Better to let themselves think nothing comes in or out, that the exclusion zone is a formality to keep out the occasional crazy from wandering in. I think they're scared that if they keep too close an eye on things they'll see something that breaks that assumption. Something they don't want to think about.
I'm rambling a bit. The important part is that the only thing keeping me out was the patrols. They weren't much trouble though. Even outside the fog that place wears on you. Keeps you from sleeping right. Makes you feel like someone's watching. A few months of that, and I made sure to go in right before they got rotated out, and it's not hard to write off that figure in the distance as a trick of the mind.
Once I made it inside I knew things had gotten worse. The first few dozen yards were the same but past that I soon reached a point where no sunlight reached the ground at all. I found my way first by the the constant flashes of lightning, and, when even they had been eaten by the choking fog, and my flashlight served only to illuminate a yard or two ahead of my feet, by the pull of that damned place. I suppose I could feel it to begin with, that it was why I went back to begin with, but it was always in the background... Still calling me but ignorable, at least for a time... You can feel it too, right? Just over that hill to the North......
On second thought maybe I will have a drink. One moment.
Much better. Now, back to the story. It took me about an hour to reach our old base camp. I thought for sure it would have been destroyed but... Hmm? Well, yes, I did come from the opposite direction, but you're thinking too literally. A place like that is very abstract, much more about the journey you see, and the journey I set out on started with darkness, then the base camp, then the tomb, and then... I'll leave the end for the end, but the point is that I couldn't have passed them in any other order. It's like a story - the order is fixed once the book is printed.
From that explanation you might think the camp twisted into some metaphorical mockery of itself, or perhaps ruined to symbolize mankind's weakness, or some other similar thing, but what I came across impacted me far more deeply. It was intact. No, not intact, preserved. I've seen the old base camps from when we were cleaning out bandits, old tents abandoned for just a couple years to the sand when it was deemed not worth recovering them until we came along for some late cleanup, and it's amazing how fast the elements set to work on something not meant to stay in one place for more than a few days. It had been there for nearly a decade, with all the equipment we'd brought left in place, and yet not a speck of dust had found it.
I'm sure you recall how we were found afterwards, lying in the arid scrublands just outside the storm with nothing but our jumpsuits. I found our arms and armor there as well, neatly folded and placed in footlockers. Whatever made us flee, we didn't run in a panic - we calmly put everything in its place and simply walked away. We all said that we ran, though, that we had been chased. Isn't that curious to you? Probing my memory before the incident I still recalled panic, being paralyzed before an overwhelming presence, and yet I had nothing afterwards. Not a single clear image from after we breached the tomb. I said we ran because all I could remember was the fear, and that was the explanation that made the most sense of things.
At first I thought there wasn't much for me there besides the realization. The fuel cells had all gone dead, of course, and our records were all stored on the camp's computers. When I attempted to retrieve the memory cards, however, I found them gone - not just the cards themselves but the caddies that would normally extend to receive them. Propping open the spring-loaded slot and turning my flashlight to it, I could see that the entire computer was not without power, it had been entirely hollowed out. I will admit to having fallen into a bit of a panic at that, blindly tearing apart anything else electronic - no doubt the old base camp will prove far less preserved for whoever managed to stumble upon it next - but in all of them I found the same result. Even the displays had been stripped of their circuitry, leaving only black panels with not even a scrap of wire dangling from them to indicate they had ever been used as part of a larger device. Thankfully we'd taken purely mechanical weapons on that first expedition, and I took the opportunity to arm myself before proceeding, with great trepidation, to the tomb itself.
It was not similarly untouched. Most of the outer walls were intact, at least from what little I'd seen - those walls of some unknowable black material, broken up by countless gold adornments and engraved with what looked like stories of some great god-king. Carvings that would have found themselves perfectly at home in the stone burial halls of ancient Merkat or Hattesh, although I concede to not having looked too closely. I was far more focused on that great door where we had made our original entrance.
It had taken us hours to make that hole after the door had refused to open, even with the explosives at our disposal, and while the gap itself was thankfully still there, the edges had started to heal. That word, heal, is very important - nobody was rebuilding it. I saw no evidence of tools nor worldly methods of repair. Instead the edges had grown over with a bulging, fibrous mass that I took to be scar tissue. I attempted to take a sample, to see if any of the scientists could tell me its makeup, but it was just as cold and unyielding as the false-stone which surrounded it. I hurried inside after that, secure at least in the knowledge that if it was still growing the stiffness of it would make the process so slow as to not impede my escape.
Once inside the pull was much stronger, to the point I could barely resist it. Whatever those black walls had been made of was proving itself effective as insulation. I soon found myself abandoning any further investigation, only barely restraining myself from sprinting as I made my way into the central burial chamber...

2023.06.06 03:32 Certifiedmidwife Legal Defense Tips for Midwives

Legal defense plays a very important role in the life of every midwife and other healthcare professionals. Why so? Because in midwifery, instances of litigation may occur, despite every midwife’s best effort in providing quality care. Since the relationship that is involved in every midwife to her patient/s is a situation where one person owes another a duty of care, it gets crucial when the patient get in danger. Midwife is responsible to the patient’s welfare, yet there are unavoidable things that may arise and so, every midwife must be prepared.
When a midwife does something that may cause damage, injury or loss to a patient, or even decides not to do something that also leads to damage, injury or loss of the patient, that is called “Negligence”. In law, medical malpractice is considered a specific area within the general domain of negligence. It requires four conditions (elements) be met for the plaintiff to recover damages. These conditions are: duty; breach of duty; harm; and causation. The second element, breach of duty, is synonymous with the “standard of care.”
Legally speaking, every medical practitioner, particularly midwives, are responsible for the safety of their patients and so they must perform their duty to the best of their ability. Getting sued for medical malpractice must be avoided as it is punishable by the law. To protect yourself and your practice against a malpractice lawsuit, you can use three powerful tools: documentation, compliance with policies and procedures, and malpractice insurance.
Documentation is a record of everything you do within your practice. Good documentation is key to avoiding liability, fraud, and abuse. You may be required to reimburse the money if your records don’t justify the items and services you have charged.
Compliance with policies and procedures. Maintaining compliance with HIPAA goes a long way. You want to make sure that you don’t share patient information on social media or any other source. It’s critical to practice proper HIPAA compliance standards by ensuring that you only discuss patient information with the patient, staff or authorized persons. Also, implement a strict data security system to help protect patient data.
Malpractice insurance is your sure way to go. It protects midwives and other healthcare professionals against claims alleging their negligent acts caused injury to patients. This insurance coverage protects healthcare providers against patients who file suits against them under the complaint that they were harmed by the professional’s negligence or intentionally harmful treatment decisions. Malpractice insurance also covers the death of a patient
Midwives need to actively work to avoid such issues, since a malpractice lawsuit could cause serious ruin both professionally and financially. Below we’ve detailed nine tips to help you avoid malpractice claims.
1) Document EVERYTHING
Your first line of defense against malpractice is proper documentation. Always document dates, times, events, and be extremely specific. We know you are busy, but you cannot afford to neglect documenting all your patient interactions and any actions you’ve personally taken.
2) Communicate
Clear communication with your patients is key to avoiding misunderstandings. Make sure your patients feel comfortable communicating their thoughts, questions, and concerns to you, and make sure you give them consistent updates and attention. As with your documentation, always be as clear and specific as possible, and if you think your patient doesn’t understand something, take pains to make sure they do.
3) Know policies and standards of care
Make sure you learn the policies and regulations of the facility in which you are working and take the time to consistently update your knowledge of oft changing professional standards of care for your area of medicine.
4) Don’t get lazy
We know how busy you are. We understand how overwhelming everything can get. You still cannot let any of your duties or responsibilities lapse. This includes tedious, administrative duties and other time-consuming necessities like documenting patient interactions.
5) Ask for help
Don’t try to be a hero or be too proud to ask for help. Know your limits and do not try to do something you don’t feel comfortable doing. Your pride could cause you to make a serious mistake that could literally ruin your career.
6) ALWAYS get informed consent
You know what they say about assuming… Make sure the patient understands and consents to the actions you plan to take every single time.
7) Strive to build strong relationships with patients
A good bedside manner and going the extra mile to make a patient comfortable can go a long way towards protecting you from potential malpractice claims. Happy patients rarely seek to sue their doctors or nurses.
8) Follow up
Follow up with your patients and follow up with other specialists or professionals involved in a patient’s treatment. Have a set schedule and protocol in place for following up that you will stick to with every patient.
9) Temper expectations and don’t promise what you can’t deliver
Always be realistic with your patients and temper their expectations of what your treatment will be able to achieve for them. Making promises that you know you can’t deliver on will not be worth briefly making the patient feel better when you are facing a serious malpractice suit later.
The code of ethics and conduct for midwifery is unique. Judges who are not qualified in midwifery must decide if a midwife has acted negligently. They depend on expert opinion and make decisions based on basic principles of reasonableness, prudence and fairness.

2023.06.06 02:59 harry-jg Best Desktop VPN

When one is embarked upon the high seas of the internet, engaged in a bit of torrenting, streaming, or perhaps a spirited round of virtual golf, one needs a steadfast guardian. This valiant defender, my dear reader, is a Virtual Private Network or VPN, if you will, standing tall between your desktop (or the more mobile cousin, the laptop) and all manner of digital riff-raff. An ideal desktop VPN comes armed with a bevy of potent capabilities, like the ability to cunningly split its tunnelling prowess and a steadfast resolve to block all manners of advertisements and digital gremlins known as malware.
This scribble, dear reader, is a handy guide to help you select the VPN most suited to your desktop needs. If the constraints of time have bound you in their relentless grip, then a swift glance should suffice.
Risk-Free Romp through Cyberspace with NordVPN: A 30-day Gala of Security and Streaming!
Are you one to dabble with the crème de la crème of the desktop VPN world without so much as a pang of commitment? Then I dare say, old sport, that NordVPN is extending a cordial invitation to join them on a risk-free, 30-day frolic. Simply sign up at this page, and the gates to digital freedom swing wide open, inviting you to enjoy unrestricted use of the leading desktop VPN — an absolute delight for matters of security, streaming, and other such endeavors!
Worry not about the fine print or tricky clauses — there aren't any! Should you find, within the span of those 30 days, that NordVPN isn't quite the cup of tea to your taste, all you need to do is summon their support team and declare your intentions. A full refund shall be promptly dispatched your way, no questions asked. To commence your exhilarating expedition with NordVPN, step right this way and start your trial.
The Anatomy of an Ideal Desktop VPN: A Gentleman’s Guide
When on the hunt for the perfect desktop VPN, one might fancy a digital Sherlock Holmes, the magnifying glass at the ready to scrutinize potential candidates. Here’s the checklist we've meticulously compiled to nab the crests of the VPN flock:
Firstly, the good VPN shall not jot down a solitary jot about your identity or the particulars of your use of its services. Anything less is simply not cricket.
Secondly, it should be sporting the latest and most reliable encryption standards, the sort of codes even an Enigma machine would tip its hat to.
In the third place, the VPN should provide a desktop app so user-friendly and well-constructed that even a member of the Drones Club could navigate it without batting an eyelid.
Fourthly, it should boast connection speeds as swift and steadfast as Jeeves responding to a summons bell.
Fifthly, one must not overlook the necessity of DNS leak protection. No one likes a sieve in their virtual world, after all.
Next up, a robust server network, sizable enough to flummox even Aunt Dahlia’s formidable pack of hunting hounds.
Support for torrenting should be offered, and I dare say, any VPN that doesn’t support this is as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Lastly, a truly top-tier VPN would offer a ticket to the streaming world — Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and the like — without the bother of geo-blocks. Rather like a personal invitation to the Drones Club.
NordVPN
Topping our list like Bertie Wooster topping the best-dressed list in The Drones Club, we present NordVPN, a Panama-based chap, free of those dreadfully invasive data retention laws. With a select offering of sturdy VPN protocols (OpenVPN, NordLynx, and IKEv2) at the helm, it commands an impressive fleet of 5600 servers scattered across 60 countries.
Mimicking the impeccable standards set by Jeeves himself, NordVPN has become something of a trendsetter in the VPN arena. Its ironclad no-logging policy could make the very walls blush with its refusal to pry into your online gallivanting. With the strength of modern encryption, it stood as firm as Lord Emsworth's prized pig against any IP, DNS, or WebRTC leaks in our testing.
Capitalizing on the grandeur of the desktop platform, NordVPN has engineered apps that are as handy as a cocktail at a Drones Club gathering. These cunningly crafted applications, both for desktop and mobile, come with a kill switch. This smart feature promptly stops any data leakage should the VPN pull a vanishing act. A sprightly ads and malware blocker also sits tucked under the wings of all NordVPN apps.
A marvel of digital swiftness, NordVPN galloped past its peers in our speed tests, proving ideal for torrenting and consuming high-quality streaming (4K/8K), which it robustly supports.
The versatility of NordVPN extends beyond the usual suspects (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS) and includes Amazon FireTV, NAS devices, and routers, becoming as indispensable as a stiff G&T at the end of a long day.
SurfsharkVPN
Making a splash in our pool of esteemed VPN providers, allow me to introduce Surfshark, a stalwart of the desktop VPN realm. Although this Netherlands-based character hasn't been treading the boards for quite as long as its elder peers, it nonetheless delivers a VPN performance that would draw a standing ovation.
Now, while the Netherlands isn't one to insist on data retention, it does hobnob with the Nine Eyes alliance. However, thanks to Surfshark's rather British stiff-upper-lip approach to privacy, it would be as bereft of user data as Bertie Wooster is of common sense, should any law enforcement chappies come knocking.
Lining up to the starting blocks are Surfshark's sturdy VPN protocols: OpenVPN, WireGuard, and IPsec. Running in tandem with 256-bit AES encryption, a SHA512 authentication hash, and 2048-bit DHE-RSA key exchange supporting perfect forward secrecy (PFS), it would give the Bounder's Club's annual three-legged race a run for its money. In our stringent tests, Surfshark shrugged off IP, DNS, or WebRTC leaks like a gentleman brushing off an unsolicited invitation to a poetry reading.
Every one of Surfshark's apps comes armed with a kill switch, as eager to step into the breach as Jeeves into a fix. Opt for a Surfhark One subscription, and you'll acquire antivirus software and a host of other perks, making it the equivalent of a well-stuffed picnic hamper.
Surfshark's performance in the realm of streaming is as exemplary as the service at the Drones Club. It's as dependable in China as it is in Chuffnell Regis, and it offers unlimited simultaneous connections to boot. And its suite of apps? Well, it covers Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and Amazon FireTV - making it as accommodating as Aunt Dahlia's chef Anatole.
ExpressVPN
ExpressVPN, hailing from the somewhat sunnier climes of the British Virgin Islands, which, despite its misleading moniker, is a land unencumbered by Her Majesty's rule.
In the VPN protocol department, ExpressVPN confidently fields a trinity of secure choices: OpenVPN, Lightway, and IKEv2. The middle chap, Lightway, is ExpressVPN's own prodigy, an open-source whiz kid that's always up for an audit. Moreover, these protocols gallantly serve across ExpressVPN's vast regiment of 3000+ servers.
Now, for the desktop and mobile apps, ExpressVPN has cooked up quite a feast. With user interfaces as inviting as Aunt Agatha's forced dinner parties are intimidating, they gracefully cater to both the novice nephew and the tech-savvy uncle. In short, no matter your proficiency in the arcane arts of technology, you'll find yourself as well-equipped as Wooster with Jeeves at his side.
A key factor of ExpressVPN's reputation could be compared to Bertie's famed collection of Spode china – unassailable quality. It employs AES-256 encryption, 4096-bit RSA keys, and SHA256 authentication, all supporting perfect forward secrecy (PFS), no less. ExpressVPN runs its servers from volatile memory (RAM), ensuring that no data could linger on the system's hard drives any more than a drop of Anatole's Bouillabaisse could remain in Bertie's bowl. With a kill switch included in all its apps, you're in safe hands, even if the VPN suddenly loses its footing. As for IP, DNS, or WebRTC leaks? ExpressVPN dodged these in our tests as deftly as a newt-nourished Gussie Fink-Nottle avoids Gertrude Winkworth's mother.
ExpressVPN is also no slouch when it comes to speed, proving to be one of the most fleet-footed VPNs in our roster. Its aptitude for streaming is as impeccable as its adherence to punctuality, even managing to charm notoriously finicky services. ExpressVPN offers native apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and a few select routers, making it as versatile as Jeeves himself.
Desktop VPN: A Stroll in the Park or, How To Be More Like Jeeves In Your Internet Endeavours
Setting up a VPN on a desktop (or indeed, a laptop, for our portable-inclined friends) is as straightforward as Wooster's Drones Club membership. There is no need to learn any secret handshake or arcane ritual, the procedure is universally applicable.
Here's the step-by-step to getting your VPN running smoother than Barmy Fotheringay-Phipps' latest anecdote:
If you have not yet thrown your hat in the ring with one of our recommended VPN providers, it's high time you do so. As a personal favour, might we suggest you start with the crème de la crème - our favourite, NordVPN.
Next, proceed to download your chosen provider's app onto your device, as seamlessly as Jeeves procures the morning paper.
Now, your provider should have laid out a veritable roadmap for setting up your VPN. Generally, it's as simple as selecting a server and then nonchalantly tapping the "Connect" button as one might tap one's champagne flute for a toast. Should you stumble upon a hiccup or two, your VPN provider stands ready to assist, like Jeeves with a calming restorative.
And there you have it! The VPN app now hums away quietly in the background, as unobtrusive and efficient as our dear Jeeves attending to Wooster's affairs.
The Fine Art of VPN Evaluation, or How To Assess Your Internet Butler
Here is the blueprint we have adhered to in the pursuit of a thoroughly comprehensive review of VPNs. In order to maintain a certain level of decorum and fairness, and to avoid the proverbial fruit salad comparison, we thought it best to lay our evaluation cards on the table.
Speed: In the realm of VPNs, speed is much like the punctuality of a proper valet, immensely crucial. A lethargic connection can turn an otherwise delightful browsing or streaming experience into an agonising slog. Rest assured, we've put our favoured VPNs through their paces in the latest speed tests.
Global servers: The availability of servers worldwide is akin to having an assortment of clubs in your golf bag. It grants the freedom to dodge geographical restrictions and allows you to choose a server in close proximity to ensure top speed.
Protocol variety: A versatile VPN provider should offer multiple secure protocols, much like a versatile butler should be able to mix a variety of cocktails. Depending on the situation, one might prove more advantageous than another. Just as Bertie might prefer a Martini some evenings and a Brandy Alexander on others, you'll want the flexibility of protocols like IKEv2, OpenVPN, and WireGuard.
User-friendly interface: Much like Jeeves, a VPN should be unobtrusive and easy to manage, regardless of one's proficiency with the latest tech. We ensure our selected providers offer apps as straightforward as a stroll in the park.
Streaming services: Securing access to streaming sites via a VPN can be as tricky as getting Wooster out of a fix. Some VPN providers offer this service with varying degrees of success. We test each contender with popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max, and more.
Torrenting: VPN users often enjoy a good torrenting session as much as a member of the Drones Club enjoys a game of billiards. Not all providers permit this activity on their networks. We scrutinise each VPN's policy regarding torrenting and examine how effectively it supports this function.
Security and Privacy: In essence, these are the raison d'être for VPNs. It's as if we were inquiring about the trustworthiness and discretion of a new butler. What is their stance on privacy? How do they handle logs? What encryption protocols are in use? Do they utilise solid ciphers? Do they provide Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS)? Are there any potential leak vulnerabilities? These questions are our guiding light when evaluating a VPN's commitment to privacy and security.

I made Sun and Moon from Security Breach.
I hand made these using a Funko Freddy as the pattern for the bodies. I didn't have a pattern for the faces or heads so I just improvised.

Why can’t the Main company just do their job and take care of their business and Workers Smh!!!!

2023.06.06 02:09 EpicMazement Why Nightmare, Shadow Freddy, RXQ, Xor, Nightmarionne and Eleanor are most likely one entity

  1. The files of FNAF 4 call Nightmare Shadow Freddy.
  2. Nightmare looks like a shadow version of Nightmare Fredbear, just like how Shadow Freddy is a shadow version of Golden Freddy, who is Fredbear.
  3. Eleanor is an entity who is implied to be born from Afton's evil, just like Nightmare.
  4. Eleanor is implied to have been in Afton along with Andrew during TMIR1280. Nightmare in UCN is implied to be the real Nightmare. Nightmare says "the shadow fears me". "The Shadow" is what Andrew is called in TMIR1280. This seems to imply that Nightmare in UCN isn't just another nightmare Andrew throws at Afton, it's the real Nightmare, who has a connection to Afton, tormenting him, just like he did to Michael.
  5. Eleanor messes with people's dreams in order to feed on their Agony, which is exactly what Nightmare does in FNAF 4. She even does this to Pete, a parallel to Michael.
  6. In the Stitchwraith Stingers, Eleanor assists Afton so that she can gain more Agony, only to abandon him to save herself when Afton is about to die. In "Follow Me", Nightmare assists Afton to gain more Agony, only to abandon him to save himself when Afton is about to die.
  7. Eleanor is implied to be RXQ by "Hide And Seek".
  8. Eleanor is connected to Golden Freddy, just like Nightmare is in FNAF 2, FNAF 3, FNAF 4 and UCN.
  9. Blackbird, who is a parallels of Nightmare, turned out to be Eleanor.
  10. While not as strong, the fact that both Nightmare and RXQ show up in the same game is interesting.
  11. Xor has the darker colors you would associate with a dark entity like Nightmare, and she is able to summon characters who aren't even if Andrew's nightmare roster, RXQ being one of them.
  12. Nightmarionne talks about how he represents Afton's evil in some way, just like Nightmare. If Nightmare took shape from Charlotte's murder, then that would explain the tracks from "Midnight Motorist" and why Nightmare would have a form based around Charlotte.
  13. "Security Breach" calls Nightmarionne Nightmare, in an area themed around dreams behind a Endo poster with a reference to both Garret and Cassidy, like how Nightmare is in both FNAF 4 and UCN.
  14. Most UCN characters seem confused on what UCN is, but Nightmarionne seems to know it's a dream, just like Nightmare.
  15. Nightmarionne being the face on the UCN icon implies he is important, which would make sense if he was Nightmare, and not just another UCN creation.
  16. "Help Wanted's" Night Terrors pairs Nightmarionne with Nightmare Fredbear, when Nightmare is usually paired with him. This would add up if Nightmare and Nightmarionne were the same entity.
  17. All these characters are associated with the color black in some way.

2023.06.05 23:43 SherbetLemonAcidPops Cybersecurity for Mortgage Software: Best Practices & Tools

Hi everyone, I work at Django Stars. We specialize in developing custom software solutions that are secure, reliable, and user-friendly. Cybersecurity is one of our top priorities and we always follow the best practices and standards to protect our software and data.
In this post, I want to share with you some of the challenges and solutions for securing mortgage software at different layers: the code layer, the third-party layer, the server layer, and the database layer.
When it comes to mortgage software, cybersecurity breaches can have severe consequences, ranging from data loss and identity theft to fraud, legal issues, and reputational damage. It's crucial to have a comprehensive and proactive cybersecurity strategy that covers all aspects of your mortgage software, specifically the code layer, third-party layer, server layer, and database layer.
The code layer
It's essential to adhere to secure coding practices and standards like OWASP Top 10 to mitigate common vulnerabilities and errors. Regular code reviews, audits, and employing tools such as static and dynamic analysis, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning can help identify and address any issues.
The third-party layer
Integrating third-party components like APIs, libraries, frameworks, or plugins into your mortgage software requires careful consideration. Thoroughly vetting and monitoring your third-party providers is crucial. Additionally, keeping these components updated and patched is vital. Implementing encryption and authentication protocols like SSL/TLS and OAuth ensures secure data transmission and access between your software and third-party components.
The server layer
Hosting and running your mortgage software on a server or a cloud platform requires robust security measures. Employing firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection and prevention systems, as well as implementing backup and recovery solutions, helps safeguard your server or cloud environment. Proper configuration, such as disabling unnecessary services, ports, or accounts, and enforcing strong passwords and access controls, is equally important.
The database layer
Storing and managing data for your mortgage software requires diligent protection. Techniques such as encryption, hashing, salting, and masking can help safeguard your data. Implementing data retention and deletion policies is crucial. Utilizing secure database management systems like SQL Server or MongoDB and following the principle of least privilege, granting minimal access required for each user or role, further enhances security.
In case of breaches, a well-defined security incident response plan becomes indispensable. This plan should outline the roles and responsibilities of team members, procedures, and tools to employ during an incident, as well as communication channels and protocols to follow. It's also crucial to establish a dedicated security incident response team capable of swiftly investigating and containing any breaches.

I hope you find this post informative and useful. If you're interested in delving deeper into cybersecurity in mortgage software, read our blog post: https://djangostars.com/blog/cybersecurity-mortgage-software/. It covers challenges and solutions for securing mortgage software in more detail.

2023.06.05 21:42 MoneyLocal8180 Afton family deaths (not confirmed just speculating when they died

Ms. Afton pre 1983: I think she is the first afton to die as there is a grave in midnight motorist and I feel like it would make the most sense cause she’s basically irrelevant throughout the entire franchise. Her death would most likely bring the afton family apart because she was probably the glue of the afton because in security breach, her model is at the head of the table signifying that she was the one keeping them together but her death made the family grow far apart.
Crying child 1983 (for the sake of this being quicker ima call him Evan): I feel like Evan died before Elizabeth. Just because the girls room in fnaf 4 is empty did mean she’s dead. I feel like because of her mothers death Elizabeth was clinging onto her father (William afton) because she lost her mother at suck a young age (I think she’s the youngest in the family) So I feel like every time William went to work Elizabeth would want to come with him all the time and William probably just dropped her off at the daycare that’s at Fredbares family diner. And it would also explain why Evan is always there, so he can watch her. Mrs Aftons death probably hit Micheal hard so to take out his anger he took it all out at Evan and it got so worse to the point where he accidentally killed him in 1983.
Elizabeth 1987-1993: the dates are reaching A LOT. Because of her mom and brothers death Elizabeth was going through a lot one because of that the clinging to her father became more apparent and unhealthy and she refused to cling onto Micheal cause she most likely hated him or didn’t feel comfortable near him because he killed Evan. William was going through grief as well so I feel like after Evan’s death in a fit of rage he killed Charlie after seeing Henry still have his child when his died and on top of that the death of his wife he was really grieving. When he killed Charlie he probably saw the tears the next time and started searching up remnant cause the tears meant that Charlie possessed it. Henry probably predicted that William killed Charlie so kicked him out the company. Then the grand reopening of Freddy fazbears pizza in 1987 with the toys so William worked the night shift then switched to the day shift because of the animatronics trying to kill him with the old ones being posses by the kids he killed in 1985 and the toys having the facial recognition. In night 5 phone call phone guy said that that someone used the suits so William definitely killed again and in the foxy mini game in fnaf 2 it showed that William killed 5 more kids and in fnaf 6 phone call phone guy states non of them are acting right which tells me that those 5 children possessed the toys (5 kids 5 toy animatronics) which would also explain why they are so much harder to deal with in night 6 of fnaf 2. Why did I explain all of that? Well because I had to because it wouldn’t make sense for William to start making the funtime animatronics that looks a lot like the toys. After killing those 5 children William probably saw the kids possess the toys and that’s how he got more interested in remnant. So after fnaf 2 closes they company of fazbears pizza used the toy animatronics parts to put them back on the old ones leaving the toys as just spare parts. William took the toys (which still had the souls inside) and melted them together like in candy cadets story’s and then he put them in his funtimes so the ghost that possessed the toys are now in the funtimes which makes sense to me because obviously the funtimes would have to have souls to move around in sister location and eventually make the decision to kick Elizabeth out of Ennard. So eventually William tried to open the sister location restaurant but Elizabeth wanted to see baby because William made it for her and that poor child probably needed anything to cling in too after seeing death at such a young age. So I think she died somewhere between 1987-1993.
William afton 1993: Feel like William died 4th cause the death of his 2 children and his wife turned him over the edge so after the events of fnaf 1 he took apart the og animatronics like at the end of every night in fnaf 3. I’m assuming he did this to get more remnant but of course the og kids he killed got revenge so he died.
Micheal Afton 2023-2024: I 100% believe that Micheal is the last to die. I feel like he is the character we play as in fnaf 1 and 2 for a lot of reasons. 1. He feels guilty about getting his brother killed and wants to atone so when fnaf had its grand reopening he worked the night shift after his dad quit and it would also explain why the animatronics where trying to kill us in fnaf 2 because Micheal looked a lot like William like at the end of sister location he said “they thought I was you.” When talking about his father. 2. He still cared about Elizabeth so probably worked at fnaf 2 to provide for the family. I theorize that Micheal got fired for tampering with the animatronics because golden Freddy appeared in night 6 the same one that killed his brother so probably took his rage out on the suit but got caught. (also I think that the golden Freddy suit is the suit William used to kill the kids in fnaf 2 because in the fnaf 3 mini games at the end of every night it shows a purple beat leading the animatronics and I would make sense because the kids wouldn’t follow William if he didn’t wear anything and they wouldn’t follow the spring Bonnie suit because that’s what got them killed so in fnaf 2 he probably didn’t want to risk the old animatronics seeing him in the spring Bonnie suit and attack him and it would also explain why golden Freddy appeared in night 6 of fnaf 2 because the 2 kids were still in the suit and Cassidy was probably heated by him doing that which cause her to hate William even more )
Then Micheal worked in fnaf 1 (still getting attacked because he looked like his father same when he worked in sister location)
Then the events of fnaf 3 happened then pizza simulator happens where he died in the fire.
The reason I say he died in 2023- 2024 is because it’s been 30 years since William has died and he died in 1993 so I feel like pizza simulator would take place in the same year or 1 year after so in conclusion Micheal died in 2023-2024
If your reading this thank you for reading this all this is like a first for me making a fnaf theory and sharing it cause I want to experience the fnaf theory community. Feel free to rate this theory and say your problems with it cause I’m not no game theory member.

2023.06.05 20:15 Prophet_Rykar [OC] Humanity's Spirit

In the late 23rd century, the skies darkened with the arrival of the Nokrians. A reptilian race known throughout the galaxies as conquerors, destroyers of civilizations, and relentless expansionists. The first contact had a single, chilling message. Surrender or be eradicated. Humanity spread across Earth, Mars, the belt, and the solar system's farthest reaches bristled at the ultimatum. A united response was sent back. "We are the children of Earth. We do not surrender!" And so, the war for Earth began.
The Nokrians had underestimated humanity, viewing them as a young race scattered, technologically inferior. The aliens had crushed such civilizations before. But humankind was different. Beneath the diverse flags, languages, and planets, the fire of unity roared. Human technology, while less advanced, was innovative. Adaptive tactics and strategies changed quickly and unpredictably.
The first defining battle took place in the inner belt of Jupiter. Earth's combined fleet clashed with the Nokrian Armada. The alien cruisers dwarfed Earth's vessels, and their plasma weapons tore through our hulls. The Nokrians watched as dozens of human ships turned to stardust, confident in their victory. But humanity had a secret weapon. Its spirit. The spirit dared to dream, innovate, and resist against all odds. And amid that bloody battle, it shone brightly. Following a hasty, desperate plan, the remaining human fleet utilized Jupiter's powerful magnetic field to create a slingshot effect, hurtling smaller ships with tremendous speed toward the Nokrian Armada.
The Nokrian Shields, designed to absorb direct high-energy attacks, could not adapt to the bombardment of these human missiles. The loss they faced was unexpected and disheartening. The mighty alien Armada was forced to retreat, leaving the humans to celebrate their first victory. That day, the message of humanity echoed across the solar system. "We do not surrender!"
On the Nokrian's home world, supreme warlord K'rul watched in disbelief as reports streamed in. "So, you're telling me we lost our greatest superweapon because humans rammed a flagship into it?" The room fell into an uneasy silence. Humans were meant to be weak and insignificant. Yet they had just dealt the Nokrians a heavy blow. Despite this unexpected setback, the Nokrians remained disdainful of humanity. They saw this victory as a fluke, a lucky shot.
Commander Xok'rath received an order from the Nokrian High Command as the war entered its second year. An all-out assault on Earth aimed to crush human resistance once and for all. Closing his eyes, he remembered a phrase from an ancient human text. "The calm before the storm." The storm was indeed coming, but who would prevail in its wake was a story yet to be told. With a final look at Earth, he ordered his Armada to advance, leaving the future of humanity hanging in the balance. A cliff on the horizon of a story yet to unfold.
"Operation Thunderbolt? I must admit humans come up with interesting names," Commander Xok'rath muttered. Starring at the holographic plans of an Earth-based counter-strike against his armada. He found it difficult to understand how a young and fragile race could put up such a fight. His second in command, Virox, watched the hologram with narrowed eyes. "Commander, have you noticed? These humans fight differently compared to the other races we've conquered. They're more... reckless." "Yes," Xok'rath replied, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "They seem to have a remarkable capacity for taking risks and performing under extreme stress. There's a term they use" Adrenaline." Xok'rath said. Virox tilted his head. "Adrenaline?" "Yes," Xok'rath said. Gesturing at a display, an image of human anatomy diagram appeared, highlighting the adrenal glands. "It's a hormone triggered by stress or danger significantly enhancing their physical abilities. It allows them to perform feats that seem impossible." "Like flying their ships directly into our Armada," Virox murmured, understanding dawning in his eyes. "Yes," Xok'rath nodded. "Like that." Their discussion was interrupted by the ship's automated alarm. Operation Thunderbolt had begun.
Reports started pouring in, and Earth's smaller but highly maneuverable attack force began strafing runs on the Nokrian fleet. From Earth's surface, missiles arced, their brilliant trails illuminating the dark void. Nokrian shield generators sparked and faltered under the sheer onslaught. The human ships danced among the Nokrian Armada. "Incoming! Brace for Impact!" Xok'rath's command echoed through the ship as the Earth missiles found their target. The ship shook violently, the powerful shield failing under the human's relentless bombardment. "Damage report!" Xok'rath demanded, clutching onto the armrest of his command chair. His scales bristled with tension. "Shields down to 17%; we have hull breaches in sectors 7, 9, and 12." A junior officer reported, panic evident in his usually steady voice. "Initiate evasive maneuvers and get those shields back online!" Zok'rath ordered, his mind racing. No enemy had ever breached a Nokrian command ship's shield. Yet, here were the humans achieving the impossible again.
Meanwhile, on Earth, General Maya Serrano watched as Operation Thunderbolt unfolded. Despite the high stakes, she couldn't suppress a small smile. They were showing these arrogant aliens the true might of humanity. Serrano was a seasoned veteran, having served in the Solar Defense Force for three decades. She'd fought against pirates and led exploratory missions into unknown regions of space, and now she was helping to defend against an alien invasion. Her strategic mind was behind Operation Thunderbolt, a daring high-risk counteroffensive designed to exploit the Nokrians' overconfidence.
Back on the Nokrian command ship, the situation was dire. The shields were failing. casualties were mounting, and to Xok'rath's disbelief, the human force showed no signs of relenting. Instead, their attacks became fiercer, their maneuvers more daring. Suddenly an urgent message flashed on the command screen. It was from the Nokrian Supreme Warlord K'rul himself. His statement was brief and to the point. "Fall back to high orbit," "Regroup," "We will not be defeated." Xok'rath stared at the message, his mind swirling with questions. "Fallback?" "Regroup?" These were terms not often used in Nokrian warfare. He looked back at the holographic display of Earth, its blue and green hues seeming to pulse defiantly. "Commander your orders?" Virox asked, his eyes reflecting the unease rippling through the command ship. Xok'rath took a deep breath. A newfound respect for humanity hardened his resolve. "We follow the warlord's orders, full retreat to high orbit." "But make no mistake, Virox, this is far from over. We've awoken a giant, and we must brace for its wrath," said Xok'rath.
As the Nokrian Armada began retreating, the humans watched from their home world, ships, and colonies. They had won this round. Their defiance, unity, and sheer audacity had pushed back the invaders. If only for a while... But they knew this was not the end; the war was far from over. The Nokrians would return more determined, more desperate. Humanity would have to be ready, for they were the children of Earth, and they would not surrender!
The lights flickered in the makeshift lab as a beacon of hope emerged. On a remote outpost on Titan, Doctor Elena Petrova, humanity's leading quantum physicist, made a breakthrough. A radical new technology project, Quantum Lattice, is an adaptive energy shield that could neutralize the Nokrian's plasma weapons. News of the breakthrough spread like wildfire, the anticipation mixed with caution; after all, the security was untested in actual combat.
They needed to be more unified on the other side of the war line. In the Nokrian High Command, disagreement festered; some commanders like Xok'rath argued for a more cautious approach acknowledging the human's unpredictability. Others, like the fiery Z'tran, scorned such caution advocating for overwhelming direct force.
Back on Earth, another development was taking shape. Lieutenant Isamu Takashi, one of the few survivors of the battle of Jupiter, was chosen for a mission most deemed suicidal. Utilizing his combat experience, survival skills, and the new adaptive camouflage suit. Isamu was to infiltrate the Nokrian mothership, gather intelligence, and if possible, sabotage their operations. Leaving behind a tearful goodbye to his family. Isamu steeled himself for the task ahead. He was not just a soldier but a symbol of human determination.
Meanwhile, Project Quantum Lattice was fast-tracked for field deployment. The prototype was to be installed on the USS Vengeance, a newly commissioned cruiser. Captain Amina N'dour, an experienced and unyielding officer, was given the helm. Her task was twofold: test the shield in battle and buy enough time for Isamu to complete his mission. The USS Vengeance embarked on its maiden voyage equipped with untested technology. The moral of the human forces was... Palpable. On the Nokrian side, tension mounted as descent grew. The war was about to take an unexpected turn.
Onboard the Nokrian mothership, Commander Xok'rath studied the report of increased activity among the human forces. A chill ran down his spine; he felt the wind of change, a shiver of uncertainty. He turned to his second in command, Virox. "Prepare the fleet for an imminent attack and enhance security on our ship. I have a feeling... the humans are up to something." And thus, the stage was set the pieces were moving. As the USS Vengeance ventured into the dark abyss, Isamu descended onto the alien ship in his stealth shuttle. The entire solar system held its breath. Unbeknownst to them, they were on the brink of a new chapter in the war for Earth. A turning point was on the horizon, and with it, the tides of war were about to change.
Deep within the heart of the Nokrian mothership. Lieutenant Isamu Takashi navigated the labyrinthine corridors, and the calm hum of alien technology resonated in the walls. Contrasting starkly with the pounding heartbeat echoing in his ears. Invisible under the cloak of the adaptive camouflage suit, he slipped past patrols, moving like a phantom. His objective was clear, gather intel on the Nokrian's capabilities, identify weaknesses, and if possible, sow chaos within their ranks. But first, he had to reach the core command center.
Meanwhile, far from the silent tension of the alien vessel, the USS Vengeance found itself in the throes of battle. The Nokrian vanguard had descended upon them like a swarm of metallic hornets, but humanity had its own sting. "Activate the Quantum Lattice!" Captain Amina N'dour ordered. A shimmering energy net bloomed around the ship absorbing the volley of plasma beams from the Nokrian fighters. The cruiser seemed to glow in a lattice of light before the glow subsided, leaving the USS Vengeance unscathed. In the silence that followed, a cheer erupted on the bridge; The Quantum Lattice worked.
Then, on the Nokrian mothership, Z'tran, a high-ranking commander known for his aggression, stormed into the war room. Reports of the failed attack on the human ship had just arrived. Z'tran blamed Xok'rath for the failures, his words slicing through the tense air. "Your caution has cost us, Xok'rath. These humans... they are not as weak as you believed." A heated argument ensued, voices echoing through the chamber. Z'tran's accusations held weight among those frustrated with the human resistance. The room split, tension escalating until Z'tran, by force of numbers, wrestled control of the Armada. His first order was a resonating call for the destruction of the Earth.
During the power struggle, Isamu found himself at the heart of the command center. He had gathered precious intel, learning about Z'tran's intended all-out assault. Unfortunately, he transmitted the information to Earth before an alarm blared around him. His cover was blown, and his heart pounded in his chest as he found himself surrounded and trapped at the center of the enemy hub. His eyes darted, calculating escape routes, but it was too late. The Nokrians closed in; their alien faces were grim, and weapons were drawn.
Back on Earth, as the data from Isamu started streaming in, they also received his final message. "I've been compromised; proceed without me..." The transmission cut out abruptly, leaving a haunting silence in the command center with the enemy closing in. Isamu steeled himself; he was cornered, outgunned. His chances looked grim, but he was a symbol of humanity, and he was not going down without a fight. And thus, the climax of the War for Earth began with a lone spy's fate and humanity's future hanging in the balance.
The alien corridors were bathed in a harsh red light, the alarm blaring relentlessly. Lieutenant Isamu Takashi, cornered and outnumbered, faced the approaching Nakorians with a defiant glare. He knew he wouldn't walk away from this fight. His hand found the tiny remote in his pocket. a last resort. A beacon to call down hellfire upon his position. He pressed the button. An explosive blaze erupted from Isamu's location, cascading through the Nokrian mothership. Isamu's final act, a daring sacrifice, destabilized a significant part of the alien Armada. It was a tragic but necessary act that the human fleet used to their advantage. On Earth, his sacrifice echoed through the ranks. Isamu's bravery was a catalyst, igniting a resolve deeper than any battle plan.
As Z'tran's all-out assault descended upon Earth, the planet's defenses were pushed to their limit. But inspired by Isamu, the humans held their ground. The Quantum Lattice technology fends off the relentless onslaught. "Remember Isamu!" Became a rallying cry that surged through the human ranks. Each ship fought with a tenacity that was a testament to their fallen comrade.
The Nokrian Armada, vast, began to falter before the stubborn human resistance. And then Earth's forces unleashed a trump card. Within the bowels of these human ships, engineers and scientists worked relentlessly. Exploiting the data gathered by Isamu. They discovered a critical flaw in the Nokrian shield system. A resonant frequency that could disrupt their energy matrix. Timing their attacks to the millisecond, they fired burst after burst. At this frequency, The Nokrian Shields flickered and, with a final, resounding blast, failed. The Armada was left exposed and vulnerable. Humanity pushed, and the Nokrian forces began to crumble.
The victory was not without cost. wreckage of both Human and Nokrian ships littered the Battlefields. The Earth, though protected, was scarred by the relentless bombardment. But amidst the destruction, humanity stood tall. They had faced annihilation and emerged victorious. Both races were left to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of the war.
On Earth, a Monument was erected in Isamu's memory, a testament to the spirit of humanity. In the Nokrian home world, Z'tran's recklessness was held responsible for their defeat, leading to a shift in power. As the dust settled, the galaxy watched in awe. A species they had considered insignificant had bested the most fearsome conquerors known. Their story was one of resilience, bravery, and unity. However, with the end of the war came new challenges.
The knowledge of humanity's existence had reached far corners of the galaxy. Allies and enemies alike turned their attention to the small blue planet and its colonies, intrigued and wary. But Earth stood ready. The war for Earth had changed, unified, and strengthened them. No matter what the future holds, one thing is sure. Humanity would face it head-on, as they always had. Because they are the children of Earth! And they will not surrender!
