2023.05.30 22:28 sunpen11 Regarding oil change
I just got my CX 9 and wondering oil change time frame. It shows I should change it every 5000 miles, I don't know what kind of oil the dealer used. Also this will be my weekend car and probably won't drive anywhere near 7000 mile a year (previous weekend car only have like 70000 miles after 14 years). Should I change oil every 5000 miles or every 6 months?

“ the SGI necrotrolls who show up insisting they šššš'š SGI members when they obviously ššš???
Here's one that got their SGIsplainin' ass BANNED last week - from
Why does SGI hate the Shoshu priesthood so much?, from THREE YEARS AGO - first, the OP they're replying to:
Over at the SGIUSA sub, they are discussing how members should just take what they want and leave what they don't about practicing Nichiren Buddhism under SGI.
Someone shared a Gosho quote basically saying that if someone has the same belief as you in NMRK, you should never fight with or even criticize that person.
https://archive.ph/BYmyg The commenters take this to mean that SGI is accepting of its members being interfaith and practicing multiple religions.
But I've also read quotes by Nichiren that basically show he wanted to DESTROY all other sects of Buddhism!!! (These quotes have been linked many times, sorry not to link them again).
It seems that Nichiren was only protecting the followers of the Lotus Sutra and not other religions, though . So in our modern-day, we might say that Nichiren would have protected both the Shoshu priesthood and the SGI members.
But we all know how hard SGI has fought to keep the separation of the Shoshu and their own members. SGI is constantly belittling and criticizing the Shoshu. It seems pretty hypocritical, especially considering Nichiren wants protection of all Lotus Sutra practitioners, doesn't it? Source
So far so good? That post was from
October 24, 2019 - over 3 1/2 years ago. Now here's from
a mere FIVE DAYS AGO, from
u/Mobile_Taro1969 (sounds like a BOOMER to me):
From what I have researched, SGI members grew the organization and were encouraged to make pilgrimages to Japan if possible.
No. Virtually ALL the money
and members have
always been IN JAPAN.
All of the SGI properties are
owned by the Soka Gakkai in Japan (via one or more of their many shell corporations distributed throughout the various countries of the world).
The SGI is
NOT "growing"; it is
collapsing. The SGI membership is
aging and dying, just as
the Soka Gakkai membership is in Japan. The Ikeda organization stopped growing everywhere
in the mid-1970s.
Over time, their generous donations added up to billions - far exceeding most churches, including the Vatican.
Really? Show us the money, then! We all KNOW the Soka Gakkai hasn't given the lion's share of the money they have to Nichiren Shoshu (or anyone), and the Soka Gakkai has been very careful to NEVER disclose how much it is worth. So let's see your sources! I can't
WAIT to see
the details!! š
Seems the temple high priests felt it 'acceptable' to use the hard-earned donated funds for their frequent drinking parties with the opposite sex and other irresponsible actions.
Oh, really? I'm guessing you're going off
those photoshopped pictures the Soka Gakkai mocked up and then got spanked for in court. You really need to do better research!
Whatever happened to Ikeda's 1990 supposedly "eternal" "
clear mirror guidance", in which everyone is instructed to assume FULL PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for everything that bothers them within their environment?? Hmmmm....? Since
when has the SGI
encouraged COMPLAINING about others?? You really should stop your complaining -
Ikeda SENSEI says so! Frequent requests to stop by the lay organization were ignored.
No, no - this was a power struggle in which Daisaku Ikeda thought he'd be able to
take over Nichiren Shoshu and
run it however HE wanted. THAT is the ENTIRE problem.
Also, prior to the burning of the Shohondo which was paid for by SGI members
You apparently don't
realize that the Sho-Hondo was made of
ferroconcrete - concrete reinforced with steel.
Do you
really think that concrete and steel are
flammable??? Have you ever
tried to burn concrete or steel???
Here are images from the DEMOLITION. Enjoy.
[No "burning" was involved, moron. And it was
the right thing to do.
the priests had instructed that the cremated ashes of members left in safeguard at the Shohondo, be dumped into rice bags like trash. I was in total disbelief to hear and read of such disrespectful actions - like watching a movie unfold.
Let's see the evidence. SGI members are
notorious for making shit up and expecting everybody to just
believe them.
Priests like that are not fit to be advisers and examples for others - they are no better than wild animals. The Japanese govt verbally reprimanded the temple priests for their lack of respect and compassion for the deceased and their loved ones. Unfit for their role as head priests, these money-hungry animals showed no remorse as their pockets were already filled they make me sick to my stomach!
Oh boo hoo hoo.
EVIDENCE PLEASE Not true. To set the record straight, their belief is that other faiths are outdated and there is only one true religion. Also, they do not teach to destroy other faiths - a ridiculous statement. (Not a member but I researched enough to know what are false statements.)
š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
SURE you're not, SkinBitchy! You're
dripping with "
I Will Become Shin'ichi Yamamoto!" energy!
Considering that
most, if not
ALL, the content you posted has been shown to be
WRONG, your "research" obviously needs some work. Idiot.
"All religions except Nichiren Shoshu are evil and poisonous to society and must be destroyed." - All Three Soka Gakkai Presidents Here are JÅsei Toda and Daisaku Ikeda (ever heard of
them?) stating plainly that other faiths must be DESTROYED:
Toda:
Intolerance
It should be noted that in the immediate postwar era SÅka Gakkaiās extreme intolerance of other religious faiths did not change in the least. For example, on October 31, 1954, Toda JÅsei mounted a white horse (previously the exclusive prerogative of the emperor) on the Taisekiji parade grounds and addressed assembled members of the Young Menās and Young Womenās divisions as follows:
In our attempt at kosen rufu [converting the entire world] we are without an ally. We must consider all religions our enemies, and we must destroy them. Ladies and gentlemen, it is obvious that the road ahead is full of obstacles. Therefore, you must worship the gohonzon (sacred scroll), take the SÅka Gakkai spirit to heart, and cultivate the strength of youth. I expect you to rise to the occasion to meet the many challenges that lie ahead. Source
The Soka Gakkai:
"All of orders and religions except Nichiren-sho-shu are heretical religion, and they poison society." - "Shakubuku-Kyoten," p286, edited by Soka-Gakkai teaching section and supervised by Ikeda Daisaku. Source
At the time of Toda's death Soka Gakkai numbered nearly a million followers. Under the leadership of the movement's third president, Daisaku Ikeda, Soka Gakkai's influence increased rapidly. He committed himself to continue Toda's policy 'to destroy other religions'. Source
Daisaku Ikeda:
My two hundred thousand comrades in the entire Kansai district, I hereby desire you to open a general attack under the command of Mr. Shiraki, the chief of the General Chapter[,] on the Tenrikyo, the stronghold of all heresy in the Kansai area. - Ikeda
I desire, therefore, that you, under the leadership of the Youth Division Chief open a general attack, starting this very day, on the Rissho Koseikai, which leads people to hell by delusory doctrines. - Ikeda
There it is. DOCUMENTED.
they do not teach to destroy other faiths - a ridiculous statement.
Here ya go:
Like his mentor, Toda was not speaking metaphorically when he urged the destruction of all other religions. Nevertheless, SÅka Gakkai representatives now claim things have changed. Source
They sure do. It is you and your beliefs that are ridiculous, and you should be ashamed of your LYING.
I am hereby inviting
u/Mobile_Taro1969, who is banned from SGIWhistleblowers, to send me a private message with any response or comments, which I will post in its unedited entirety here in the comments, with a screenshot to show it is complete.

2023.05.30 22:28 Bm_0ctwo BMW i4 vs Tesla Model 3 vs Hyundai Ioniq 6?
Checking out EVs and these seem to be the best of the bunch.
For context, my budget is around $60-$65k, I drive maybe 150 miles per week, and live in New England, so obviously cold winters will impact the battery performance. I commute in traffic to and from work so the autopilot features are important to me. I like the BMW, but the range and lack of AWD on the non-M models is not ideal. Tesla is intriguing but have heard issues with build quality. Iām also not sure how I feel about everything being controlled in the touchscreen. And then the Ioniq 6 is cool, but availability is limited and itās a weird looking car in general.
For any that have been in this, help me decide!

2023.05.30 22:27 phillipsap Entry level classic car
I recently moved to the U.S. from UK, Iāve noticed āclassicā cars are much more common on the road here than in Europe. Iāve always loved old school Mustangs and the like, what would be a solid entry level classic for a newbie?
I rewatched Breaking Bad recently and it got me thinking about picking one up now that I live somewhere where they are somewhat more readily available to the average person. I love the old school look of Saulās caddy, Jesseās Monte Carlo and the El Camino.
Is sub $15k a realistic budget? What would you look for?

2023.05.30 22:26 PriceTagChicago I got a speeding ticket and I am wondering if it is worth fighting.
I got a speeding ticket for $150 for driving 36mph in a school zone (25mph) by a speed camera. I am in Georgia in Chatham county. The speed camera got me on May 9th so before school was done on the 23rd. The camera caught me at 7:40:52 am on my way to school (college). I don't remember seeing flashing lights for a school zone sign, also on the side street that take to turn on the street that has the camera it has the school zone starting at 7:45 am which is a little over 4 minutes away than what the camera has me at. There is no actual school zone signs on the part of the street I am on after I make my turn. Also on the street that is the school zone, they have no signs posting the time, only one at the beginning of the street with a flashing light. The only time it's posted is on adjacent streets and that time is marked 5 minutes after I was stamped. Also the car is not in my name, under my parents. Is this worth fighting? Or should I pay the fine.

2023.05.30 22:24 Nonameneed454 Spiders wonāt leave me alone in my dreams and in real life
I would like to talk about something different that I have experienced recently. I'm not usually a person who dreams a lot, but lately I've been seeing spiders in my dreams all the time. I see many spiders of different colors and varieties, large and small. In my dreams, these spiders appear in different places, sometimes inside an abandoned house, sometimes on the doorknob of my car. That's not the weird thing, the weird thing is that since I've had these dreams, l've been constantly encountering spiders in real life. It's not something that normally happens very often. I saw spiders in my car twice. This morning, as I carefully looked at the ceiling of my room, I saw a small spider dangling. a few days ago when i opened the kitchen cabinet i saw a dead spider in a bowl and again today while sitting at starbucks a spider fell from the ceiling on my lap. and a few more times i saw spiders in different places. I don't kill spiders, I push them slowly so they get away from me. But I don't know why they keep appearing in front of me. this started to get weird. I don't know what the meaning of seeing a spider in a dream is. I just wanted to share how I feel. And I would like to add one more thing, I am always on a journey in my dreams. I'm either going to the airport or traveling by ship. In my last dream, I found an abandoned car and ran away. I don't know where I'm going, but spiders are always with me. Spiders are everywhere in the trunk of the abandoned car, in the secret rooms of the ship, in the toilet of the airport.

2023.05.30 22:24 sotondoc Question for women- do you consider your breasts to be a private, intimate area?
This might sound like a silly/obvious question but hear me out.
I was witness to a discussion among some female associates. They were debating the topic of breastfeeding in public and the 'free the n*p' campaign.
A couple of the women said that the breasts are just another body part, which are there for breastfeeding and shouldn't really be seen as sexual body parts.
Most of the others said that they see their breasts as a private/sexual areas as they are technically 'female sex characteristics'. They also raised the point that if a stranger randomly touched a body part such as their elbow or shoulder, they wouldn't feel nearly as uncomfortable or violated as if a stranger touched their breasts.
What are your guys' thoughts on this?

Arcanemigration ch4 Room to grow
As I sit at the edge of a stream near the entrance of my cave i Cast my gaze upon the tranquil scenery, I realize that it holds a newfound significance for me. It has provided me with sustenance, a source of water, and now a temporary respite from the stress of constant work. The fish continue their rhythmic dance in the water.
I reach for my fishing spear, determined to catch a meal to replenish my strength. As I prepare to strike, I hear a faint rustling from the nearby bushes. Instinctively, I grip the spear tighter and scan the surroundings. The eyes of the goblins still haunt my thoughts, reminding me that danger lurks even in the most peaceful moments.
Instead of a goblin that emerges from the brush. It is a creature unlike any I have encountered beforeāa majestic white pearlescent stag with antlers that seem to reach towards the heavens. Its eyes are filled swirling waves of a blue wisdom and a green of serenity that I have rarely witnessed.
The stag approaches the stream, its graceful movements leaving me in awe. It drinks from the water with a glowing reflection shimmering in the gentle ripples. I watch in silence, a mix of reverence and curiosity stirring within me. Could this be a sign? A guiding presence in this harsh world?
The stag lifts its head, its gaze meeting mine. For a brief moment, time stands still. And then, as if acknowledging my presence, it takes a step closer, its hooves barely making a sound on the soft earth.
In that moment, a realization dawns upon me. The goblins, the battles, the struggle to surviveāthey are but a small part of a much greater tapestry of the journey to come. There are forces at play beyond my comprehension, and while they may not have taken notice of my deeds, they have sent me a message through this ethereal encounter.
I lower my spear, a newfound sense of purpose coursing through my veins. I will not only defend this sanctuary against the goblin hordes but also strive to understand the mysteries that surround me. I will seek knowledge, forge alliances, and uncover the truths that lie hidden within this world.
With renewed determination, I set my sights on fortifying the cave, transforming it into a stronghold that not only protects me but also serves as a beacon of resilience and defiance. The goblins may still pose a threat, but I am no longer just a survivorāI am a warrior with a purpose.
The stag watches me closely and thoughtfully As I prepare to embark on this new chapter, I offer my silent gratitude to the creature before it gracefully disappears into the depths of the forest.
The journey ahead will be arduous, and the trials I face will test my strength, both physical and spiritual. I may be alone but With the spirit of the stag guiding me, and the scars of my past battles etched into my flesh, I step forward, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
I am the defender of this sanctuary, the seeker of truths, and the embodiment of resilience. And as I move forward, I carry with me the wisdom of the stag and the unwavering determination to protect what is mine.
Inside the cave, I take stock of my resources. Though limited, they are enough to begin the task at hand. And get to work smoothing down the hard stone again until it is the right shape. Then heat up the rock in my fore and then drip cold water along the edge to shatter bits off to make a sharp edge. Then I find the largest bone in the bone pile seemingly a femur and with some work and supplies I bind them together. Lastly I char the bone to seal it.
{Crude woodcutting axe} Wood-damage : +50% Range:3 Bone: +1 durability Char: +1 longevity
Using this makeshift tool, I venture into the surrounding forest, seeking sturdy trees suitable for reinforcement. With each swing of the axe, I feel a sense of empowerment. It is not just the physical act of cutting wood but also the symbol of taking control over my environment. I am no longer at the mercy of nature; I am the one shaping my destiny.
The axe bites into the wood, and with each felled tree, I feel like it's getting easier. Then chopping the tree into logs and branches. I gather logs and branches, forming a stockpile near the cave entrance. I return multiple times, driven by a relentless determination to create a formidable barrier against any future onslaught. I also collect large rocks from the nearby riverbed, utilizing them to strengthen the cave's entrance.
Hours turn into days as I toil, the sweat mingling with the dirt on my brow. With each passing moment, the cave transforms into a sanctuary that reflects my resilience. The once-vulnerable entrance is now fortified with thick logs and sturdy rocks, creating a formidable barrier that would give even the most determined goblin pause.
As I stand back to survey my handiwork, a sense of accomplishment washes over me. The cave, once a mere shelter, has evolved into a strongholdāa testament to my will to survive and protect what is mine. The scars on my body are mirrored in the scars on the land, each a reminder of the battles fought and won.
With the physical defenses in place, I turn my attention to the interior of the cave. I make a simple stone chisel with a replaceable head and useing the same sharp stone, I shape smaller logs into makeshift furnitureāa crude bed, a rough-hewn table, and even a shelf to store my meager belongings. I carve niches into the walls to hold torches, their flickering light banishing the shadows that once haunted this place.
As I sit on my newly crafted bed, a flicker of the white stag's presence dances in my mind. I realize that my soul has been blessed with a simple yet useful abilityāa keen intuition that guides me in times of danger. It is as if the spirit of the white stag has bestowed upon me a heightened sense of awareness, allowing me to anticipate danger before it strikes.
(Blessing of the stag) Soul trait The user knows when immediate death is near.
With the cave fortified and made livable, I find a moment of respite. I lay on my rough bed, the scars on my body throbbing with both pain and pride. The journey has been grueling, and the battles have taken their toll, but I am ready to face whatever lies ahead. In that moment I notice some notifications I may have ignored or didn't see before.

2023.05.30 22:23 SalernoXbox Honest Review of Fender Professional II Stratocaster - It plays better than my LP Standard which costs more than double the price
Fender really nailed it with this guitar, there isn't really anything to say aside from the price tag but then again, I genuinely believe that this is the best Stratocaster for what you get for the money. The Performer series would be a close second. I tried a few ultras in the store and the neck was super fast, but I personally preferred the deep c neck as it felt more like the original standard I know and love. The deep c is not "deep" at all, in fact it's more slim than the modern d on my les paul standard. It has nice fullness on the edges that gives the hand something to grip, playing chords is much more comfortable on the deep c I found than the slimmer necks. I'll break the strat down into all the categories I can try to list at the top of my head: Neck - 10/10 : I may be a little bit biased but I think the deep c neck is the best neck that Fender has ever come out with. Between this and my standard, this neck just feels so much more pleasant and comfortable to hold. It speaks for itself. The rosewood is extremely smooth and easy to noodle around on. Mine came with this funky 2-tone grain on the wood that tripped me out a little at first but I learned to embrace it. The back of the neck has this super satin smooth finish and it is definitely super smooth, it's an extremely smooth playing guitar. Frets - 9.5/10 : I'm not giving it a 10 because I think Fender should be putting stainless steel frets on these instruments considering the price tag and especially compared to other brands that use them. But I think the Narrow Tall frets with the rolled edges are incredible. It's quite funny hearing people say "I'm going for the performer for the medium jumbo" or "Narrow tall is horrible" , I'm not sure how many people know this, but literally almost all of Fender's Custom Shop Strat's and a lot of the Telecasters, have Narrow Tall frets. $4000-$10,000 guitars and up, and almost every single one I looked at had Narrow Tall frets in the specs. There is obviously a reason why this is a thing, and I'm also sure nobody who gets a custom shop fender is going to be concerned over medium jumbo or narrow tall frets. I have no idea what the difference is between Narrow-Tall and Medium Jumbo if you put 2 in front of me, my Les Paul is Medium Jumbo and my Strat is Narrow Tall and never have I picked up one instrument over the other and went "oh, these frets feel different." Tone - 9/10 : I love the tone that comes out of these V-Mod 2 pickups, it has a very modern stratty sound to it, perfect for modern covers, jazz, some country, a little bit of John Mayer, I do think that some hotter more vintage pickups would have been really cool especially when you consider the implementation of the Narrow-Tall frets to try to give you that Custom Shop vibe. The push-push knobs are cool and there's a few positions I really like that almost sound like an acoustic guitar. Finishes - 10/10 : I think the Pro II line by far had the nicest paint finishes. Miami blue, Surf green, Dark Knight, Mercury Silver, Olympic white, even the roasted pine. The ultra line is great too, I think the Miami blue is more vibrant than the cobra blue, the finishes on the ultra just didn't catch my eye the way I hoped they would. The Texas Tea was in my opinion the nicest finish on the ultras. My 2 favorite finishes in the Pro II line are definitely the Mystic Green and Dark Knight. Reason being because it has the exact same sparkly paint as the ultras that reflect and shine in different lighting. It almost looks like a fancy car paint finish. It's a nicer paint finish than my Les Paul Standard. Versatility - 8/10 : It's definitely versatile, an HSS would be more practical if you're looking for a do-it-all guitar. The SSS version gives that authentic single coil strat sound, and with the coil tapping abilities, opens up for more acoustic sounding tones, muddier overdrive for punk, some really bright funky tones for country too. I use my LP for anything related to gain, so for me it was a no brainer to get the SSS version. The HSS is really good too, I had one before getting a LP and later on getting the SSS, while it may not be as meaty as some other guitars designed for overdrive, the HSS will get the job done. The SSS is everything I would expect from a classic single coil strat, and the coil tapping just opens me up to more tonal possibilities. Body & Weight - 10/10 : Extremely ergonomic guitar, especially when comparing it to a beefy LP. It's extremely light, easier to hold, more comfortable to play in bed, and a lot easier for high fret access especially with the contour in the back to help this. This is what I meant earlier with the Pro II being a mighty match for the ultra, the ultra is extremely fast yes, but the Pro II is also fast. If I would rate the speed out of 10 between both guitars, I'd give the ultra a 9.5/10 and the Pro II a 9.2/10. But if I were to rate the neck's in terms of comfort, I'd give the ultra an 8.5/10 and give the Pro II a 9.5/10 if not a perfect 10. So how I looked at it in the store was where did it differ the most? And it was certainly in comfort, I would rather sacrifice a little bit of speed for a lot more comfort than to sacrifice a lot of comfort for a little bit of speed. I fingerpick quite a lot when I'm not using a pick, and everything from Clapton inspired chords (thumb-work) to John Mayer's funky chord variations, it just feels super comfortable to play. and I can go very long periods without getting tired or cramping. When you factor in all of these amazing features and little touches, this is probably the best value Stratocaster on the market right now. The finish is premium and what you would expect from a high end American Fender instrument, you get unique Narrow Tall frets that actually works very well unlike the cheaper fender models that have it, and that is typically something that would only be found on a Fender Custom Shop. It has almost all of the compliments an ultra would, minus the ability to turn the single coils into humbuckers; but that goes with saying I would just get an HSS or 1 humbucking guitar and 1 single coiled guitar. And the ultra neck is no "improvement" but more of a preference for people who want a super slim fast neck. I think they can totally put both of these guitars at the same price but they won't do it because of marketing. This Pro II is a REALLY big upgraded and refined American Standard, while the ultra is a refined version of the Elite. All in all I am more than pleased with this fine instrument, I think that the competition of the Ultra tends to kick this one into the shadows sometimes, but it's price tag justifies every bit of this instrument. When I brought the ultra home for a week, I personally couldn't bond with it , mainly because it was more of a super-strat than the classic American Standard I always wanted to own. Let me know how your experience with your Fender Stratocaster is, which model you think is the best bang for the buck I would love to hear :) Cheers https://preview.redd.it/tfep1wj5t03b1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=49c1e7be35641b67ec2697f571201c4b3a94580b submitted by SalernoXbox to fender [link] [comments]

2023.05.30 22:22 cookiecrisp05 Nostril piercing this Saturday
Hello,
I have an appointment to get a nostril piercing this upcoming Saturday and Iām very nervous. I have very oily skin which worries me a bit since I have not had an external piercing on my face. I have a septum but that was inside the nose hidden which didnāt worry me too much.
I would appreciate some advice on how to avoid bumps, how to clean, how to do skincare like wash my face/nose, and what side of my nose it should go on. I have a bit of asymmetry so Iād like this piercing to kinda balance it out. What side of my nose seems the best for a nostril piercing? I know it doesnāt matter but I am a bit picky.
I do have many blackheads on my nose which I have tried to work on w skincare but I am worried that itāll look weird. Also if I did decide to take it out for any reason, would there be a prominent hole in my nose or would it close? Thank you for any advice ā”Ģ

2023.05.30 22:22 Affectionate-Rip-172 4 months into accepting my plurality, Alters I know so far
(Using āIā as a general term, not quite sure who is in the front right now.)
Back in February I finally started trying to fully accept my plurality. I made a post a few months ago detailing the realization. Since then Iāve continued working on trying to improve the internal communication and identify some of my headmates and have been able to distinguish three separate alters in that time.
First, there is Aiden. He ages with the body and has been around for as long as I can remember. Aiden helps with most of the personal responsibilities of the host, heās the most motivated. Heās usually around if Iām doing any housework, studying, or sports of any kind. I donāt think visually so Iāve never seen a physical adaptation of him in my head, but if i have my eyes closed when I feel him enter the front he always appears as a mass of blue coming from the front left side. Heās also the only alter whose voice Iāve audibly heard.
Then thereās J, I feel her the strongest when she switches in while Iām at work. I can immediately tell when sheās taking strong influence. She walks and stands very distinctively to anyone else in the headspace, hands on the waist with thumbs inward toward the stomach. Sheāll come out to socialize more than any of the others, host included. Very charming, but moody. If weāre in an argument itās J that youāre gonna meet and she can get cruel if someone has triggered the host. J is honestly the one the makes the most friends for our host. When sheās fronting the body gets very light, has a very gentle and air-y way of carrying the body around. I canāt see her either but I can tell that sheās blonde, and she is always begging me to get the bodyās nails done lol. When sheās trying to come to the front I can feel her pressure in my right temple.
Third alter doesnāt quite have a name yet, but she is a middle aged woman who I like to think of as the āhead therapistā. She is definitely the grown up lol. Sheās always the logical voice that is trying to reason with the other alters during periods of head arguments, and will switch in the most during periods of extreme stress. She the advice giver, problem solver, etc. Sheās basically the mom of the headspace to be honest. Lots of yellow when sheās near, and I can tell she wears glasses.
Thereās most likely others I just havenāt met yet, these are just the ones that have identified themselves to me. So right now my total is 4, host included, and counting.

2023.05.30 22:22 elonepb First time renter - if I'm arriving to an airport at 930pm or so, should I do App Unlock only?
Never used Turo before so I'm trying to get a better understanding of the process. I'm traveling with a 1 year old and a 4 year old so it seems to me, with a late night flight, that I'd be better off renting something I can unlock with the app.
But how would it work otherwise? Is someone going to drive up to us late at night in the car I rented and hand over the keys and then find their own way home? Maybe that's normal but just trying to figure out how this all works.
Any tips? Thanks!

2023.05.30 22:21 Warspite79 Mortgage renewal is up shortly.. what should I do?
Hey Folks,
My mortgage is up for renewal in July. I owe approximately $595k on a house currently valued at $950k+. I've recently received $400k from my father's estate and considering putting down a hefty amount onto my mortgage ($300-$350k). I'm looking for some advice on a couple things:
- Should I be putting down as much as I can right now based on how interest rates are? I'm looking at 2-3 year fixed terms with the plan to be mortgage free at the end of my term.
- Amortization period - My current mortgage payments are around $3200 monthly which I can currently afford comfortably. My bank is currently offering me a 5.28% 3 year fixed.. at an amortization of 21 years.. brings my payment down to $1600 a month (assuming I'm putting down the $350k). Should I consider reducing my amortization to like 10-12 years, increasing my payments to pay off the principal quicker? Or take the extra money that normally would go to mortgage payment and investing it else where (TFSA/RRSP etc).
I'm in early 40's.. single, no kids, no other debt (cars paid for). Make $230k+ per year. Like I said, id like to be mortgage free by end of my next term. Most of the additional funding for that would come from sales commissions/bonuses and selling stock I have in my company (which I buy at a discount twice a year). Savings wise I'm putting away $300 month in TFSA and contributing to RRSP's which my company matches and purchasing stock. I have approx $500k in savings and another $100k in stock currently.
Any insight is appreciated. Cheers!

2023.05.30 22:21 Throwawayferdaboy Need some help with GFs car purchase
Iāll save yāall the long ass story and try and be concise with this one.
Girlfriend makes about 38-40k a year and desperately needs a new car. Looking for anything under 16k OTD but the cheaper the better, only to drive a few mins to work and back each day. Usually Iām pretty good with cars and whatnot but Iāve never had to buy an econo box before Iām usually one to buy performance/sports cars so Iām a bit out of the loop.
Sheās currently looking at the following (will be financing since sheās a new college grad, Iāll probably help her with a down payment).
Any insight would be appreciated.

Iām moreso concerned with the price + reliability of these model years. The Infiniti Iām familiar with. I daily an old G35 and itās never really steered me wrong, albeit gas mileage and maintenance costs are somewhat higher than a typical Japanese car such as the civic and Toyota

2023.05.30 22:21 Sweet-Caroline-0 The USA tobacco age needs to be 18 Agian lol
So I was 17 when they changed it to 21 and I was maaaaad, I was already a cig smoker at that point and was soo excited to be able to get my cigs without having to get them from someone else⦠itās so stupid!!! I can buy a gun, join the military, vote, get a tattoo, work at a strip club⦠but I canāt buy a pack of cigs ??? Cigarettes arnt mind altering.. so I donāt get why it was changed in the first place.. no one has ever smoked a cig and then drove a car and murdered someone or killed themselves like alcohol. It dosnt change your reaction time, your visuals, etc.. so I donāt get why it has to be 21+ when I was 18 I got a fake ID just for cigs and a few days ago some asshole took it at brew thru. Also told me if I didnāt let him keep it he would call the cops. Like over 2 packs of Marlboro golds?? Really???

2023.05.30 22:20 FAFO_762 Gen 3 Check Hybrid Battery
My battery is finally failing me. I have a 2011 Prius with close to 200k. My first issue with the car was water pump went out. I replaced that and the thermostat. Then the battery is starting to go now. The only code it's throwing me is P0A80. I ran some tests with Dr. Prius and looks like #8 is the weak link. I don't have the funds right now to replace the battery pack so I went with purchasing a few cells to swap out #8 and see what we're looking at. With #8 being weak, is that what's causing the high battery temps, or is there another culprit? Also, since #8 has voltage problems, does that reflect off onto #7 & #9? I'm trying to target the issues here and fix them myself. I'd rather not drop a big chunk of money right now and on something that doesn't need fixing. Any further insight on looking at this would be appreciative. I'll be swapping out #8 here soon and if anything else is recommended, lmk. Thanks all! submitted by FAFO_762 to prius [link] [comments]
2023.05.30 22:20 Stock-Screen-1977 GRATITUDE IS THE BEST ATTITUDE āØ
Hi Everyone, my name is Kujo (They/Them) and I am fundraising for my gender affirming surgery. ā§ āØI am a genderless human being otherwise known as Non Binary. ⨠I have been on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for nearly two years and the time has come to set my top surgery appointment and relieve the the dread of feeling like a stranger in my own body as I have for as long as I could remember. This surgery will reduce my dysphoric anxiety that interferes with my day to day and has caused me to struggle with these feelings and distractions for some time now. Not only will this surgery positively impact my mental health, it with protect me physically from the heightened hostility that is rising around us in the US as I have been a victim of profiling in public restrooms multiple times. I have my pre screening mammograms on 07/03/2023 so I can then get a referral from my doctor to proceed. My hope is to raise enough funds to be able to immediately schedule my surgery after my mammogram. As a self employed individual taking time off of work is last resort however this surgery will keep me out of work for 2-4 weeks during recovery and is absolutely necessary. I am simply looking for any assistance during these few weeks to help ensure I can keep a roof over my head and finally become the best version of myself, to allow myself the freedom to finally be ME. I just celebrated 3 years of sobriety 5/15/2020 and even as I type this I canāt believe I have made it this far in my journey & transition.ļøāā§ļø I have finally been able to get to know myself in a new, loving way and I affirm this surgery will only lead to my best life experience.ā„ļø If you have as well, thank you for reading - I am grateful for your attention, support & intention. ⨠submitted by Stock-Screen-1977 to trans [link] [comments]
