2023.06.03 22:29 Amardella Have to disable ipv6 on Spectrum routers to access a game site
It's not just me, there are several people with this same problem, so much so that the admin knows about it and just recommends disabling ipv6 to access the site. The only problem is that then this dinky game site works, but Discord et al don't. I like to have my cake and eat it too. WTH is making this a problem? Is it in my Spectrum router? My Spectrum service? The website? No one who isn't on Spectrum has a problem. There might not be an easy answer, but it's just weird and I want to know why.

2023.06.03 22:25 Willing-Sky7592 Why isn't it controversial to be hateful towards men but it is towards women?
I don't mean in a joke type of a way but when someone is being fully hateful why is it takin so lightly. If you were to say I don't respect or I hate women you're viewed harshly (as you should be) but If you make an equally hateful statement towards men is okay if we strive to have equality between men and women this must be addressed.
But am I missing something?

2023.06.03 22:24 hjras I've had chatgpt steelman the main arguments from the so-called "rational" community as to why Long Covid isn't a big deal/it's psychosomatic. How would you best address each of these points with as much data/research to back it up?
2023.06.03 22:21 waithowlongcanthisbe Clicking noise in motor only while under tension
Wondering why my board is clicking?
I was out riding today but I went over a fairly rough bit of road and noticed a clicking sound while going slow after, it might have been doing it before but the main reason I heard it was because I was going slow.
This only happens while the motor is under tension from the belt
I've swapped wheels and belts and it is definitely the motor making the noise (the other one sounds fine)
That big line on the motor is from a rock getting stuck in the housing a while ago and isn't from this
I haven't taken the actual motor off yet cause it looks like a pain and my board is still under warranty so I'll probably contact backfire and see if they have any ideas, just thought I'd ask over here first
Apart from the sound, the board works completely fine as far as I can tell
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
(Also I lost one of the washers or whatever they are called that goes in between the wheel and the nut while I was check on this, how important is that? Is there a standard size or do I need to check with backfire to find the right one?)
EDIT: Completely forgot to add the video I have of the board making the sound, I hardly ever post on here and I'm not seeing a way to add it on, but if that would help at all I can make another post (if that isn't against the rules or anything I hope) but if that would help please let me know

2023.06.03 22:21 LalosReddit Resolved: OnlyFans is bad for Society
Hello debate friends. I wanted to discuss my ideas about why Only Fans and maybe pornography in general is bad for society. I'll list some pros and cons and discuss what I think weighs more.
So some pros with onlyfans is that people who use it can make a lot of money if they're in a tough situation or it can sometimes be empowering to certain people. I don't really understand why something like this could be empowering, but whatever floats your boat as long as it isn't immoral or unethical. The first point I mentioned could be used against Only Fans or something similar. Sometimes people who start making content are only doing it for money when it actually hurts their pride.
The cons of onlyfans is that it typically supports pornography/spending addiction for men and objectifies women. Lots of dudes (especially the ones paying for OF and not just going to another site) have a "simping" or spending habit. While it's true that they could spend money on the content creator's social media, these kinda dudes are more desperate if you tempt them with more revealing material. I get the idea that you can take advantage of these kinds of people, but I think the question of whether or not that is ethical is more debatable. You take pride in fueling and take advantage of someone's negative habits for your personal benefit with this kind of attitude. Given that OF creators can be empowered by other means or make money by other means, this argument won't weigh as much in my mind.
The 2nd point mentioned is that OF typically objectifies the content creator. Now most content creators are women and I think this helps support the argument because objectification of women is a large issue in society. By creating content you make your consumers put more emphasis on your body and not your person. Even if you did include a lot of your person, most people coming to OF are not looking for persons but just something to be aroused by.
I'll consider an objection that I thought of.
Objection: These same dudes will just get material elsewhere. I am just reaping the benefits that other people or corperations would have anyway.
Answer: This is an interesting point. I would liken this to people who sell drugs. It's true that the addicts would probably get their good stuff by other contacts or methods, but it's still immoral to fuel their habits. I am not saying that OF is as immoral as this, but that the comparison can help illuminate the issue.

2023.06.03 22:20 OneSwellGuy Why is my printer just refusing to do anything that isn't a solid object?!
| I've had an Ender 3 Neo for about a month now, been printing fine, albeit I haven't been trying any tolerance tests. Printed a tolerance test out the other day with silk PLA and the circles weren't even round and fused together so needless to say non of the pegs moved at all. I levelled my bed using the piece of paper and adjusting the springs until there was a bit of resistance on the paper. Switched filliment to a plain white pla and set temperature to 215 as the box suggests, bed to 40 for adhesion. Even pissed around in cura with the slicing tolerance to the recommended thing for precision (whatever the e word setting was) And three prints later they literally all fail just as they begin! No idea why and it's pissing me off. Feel like I've fucked my machine now and have no idea how to get it back to printing normally again. :( Can anyone offer some advice? submitted by OneSwellGuy to 3Dprinting [link] [comments] |
2023.06.03 22:19 Educational-Let-1027 [22/F] Why didn’t he return?
He told mutual friends that he liked me, and he asked them not to tell me, but they did. When he found out that I knew, he cut off contact with me. Two months later, he and his girlfriend broke up. I have to admit that before he was single, I'd look at his TikToks a lot. I never liked or commented on it; I'd just watch the videos.
A few days before he and his girlfriend broke up, I noticed that my TikToks would go up. I had 3 followers, but whenever I'd watch his videos, a few hours later, my TikTok views would rise. I even tried doing it on certain days; eg. I'd watch his videos one day, watch it two days later, then the day after, and each time I saw them, my views went up, and on the days that I didn't watch them, they stayed the same. This continued for the better part of a year. Last year, it was still frequent, but less so. Now, it's every two or three weeks that we do this. One time, he even posted a TikTok in English (English isn't his first language, and all of his previous videos were in his native language).
TikTok wasn't the only platform he was looking at me on. He would do it on Twitter too. One time, I retweeted a picture of a Star Wars character. Less than an hour later, he posted a meme of that same character. The meme was in English, and it's not that I want to say that the meme wasn't funny, but it was obvious that he posted it just to post it. There's been at least three other instances where he did something similar.
I just wonder why he didn’t try to contact me. I know we live in different countries, but is that solely the reason? Because we have to get on a plane to see each other. I’m just worried that his feelings did me were a lie.

2023.06.03 22:18 EquinoxFatality Why isn't war in this game on a larger scale as a whole?
Whenever I play HOI4, I can't help but compare the game's scale to the reality of WW2. Everything seems downsized, with manpower, equipment, and more reduced to about half or even a third of their actual size. A few examples being:
During the war, Germany lost between 75,000 to 100,000 FighteMulti-Role aircraft. But how often do we see any air force in the game come close to reaching even half of that number, let alone witnessing such extensive losses throughout an entire war in HOI4? It's only in the late-game of the 1950s that you ever see such figures coming even close to those real WW2 numbers.
Now, let's talk about submarines. Germany produced a whopping 1,170 submarines during the war. However, in the game, you usually only see player countries amassing no more than 250 submarines in a complete convoy raiding fleet.
Lastly, when it comes to manpower, Germany's peak strength reached a staggering 13.5 MILLION men across the Wehrmacht. Yet, in HOI4, it's incredibly rare to encounter an army of this size. At most, we might see about half that number, which equates to two full army groups consisting of a complete infantry (9 inf, 2 arty) with full support., totaling around 5.6 million men.
And those numbers are just the numbers of Germany, imagine the highest numbers of the USA, Soviet Union, and Britain.
You probably get the point now, but is there a real reason for the game being downscaled compared to the reality of WW2? You might say optimization. But plenty of mods correct the game's scale to the real scale of WW2 and if anything those mods get the game to run even better. So I just don't get it.
TLDR; The game's numbers barely come close to the real scale of WW2, pretty much all numbers would have to be doubled or tripled to portray the reality of the scale that the war reached.

2023.06.03 22:17 GoastRiter [GUIDE] Living Large in Los Santos: Unleashing Chaos. Making Friends and Rediscovering the Thrill of GTA Online!
If you're reading this, perhaps you're like me. You have most things you want in GTA Online. You've "done it all". And now you're bored.
But... have you *really* done it all? Turns out, most of us haven't. There's so much to do in this game, and it's easy to get stuck in old habits that prevent us from discovering everything there is to do in Los Santos!
So I began writing down all my ideas for having fun in the game, and basically use these suggestions as guidelines to always find something new to do. It has completely reinvigorated my joy for the game, and I hope it can help you do the same!
If you're having trouble with motivation or inspiration, then I suggest picking something at random from the list and just doing it! You might disccover that you love it, just like I did!
And if you have anything more to add, please share your comments so that we can all help build this list together. :)
Let's go!
- Break Your Habits: Most people have a routine that they repeat over and over again until they get burned out and bored with the game! Your number one goal for having fun must be to break your old habits!
- Grind Less: If you've played for a long time, there's absolutely zero reason to grind big piles of useless money. People often develop bad habits where they finally grind so much that they forget to have fun. The "wonder" of the world completely vanishes when everything becomes about optimal times and optimal routes and optimal mission rotations. Relax! Start exploring everything that the game has to offer instead! Dare to do the "less optimal" routes, and have the courage to stop stressing about the "time efficiency" when you do the game's content. Sure, perhaps you can do a mission in 2 minutes with an Oppressor Mk2, but why not relax, put on a podcast, and do a relaxing 5 minute drive instead? Relax and have fun!
- Switch Off the Business Mindset: Why grind at all? Why do businesses at all? What do you really need the money for, whatsoever? If it feels like grinding, do something else that's more fun for you! Stop thinking about the money and start thinking about the real-world fun you're having! Start actually enjoying all the things you've previously grinded for! Perhaps you might enjoy treating GTA as a racing simulator where you mostly do challenges/race maps instead? There's so much more to do that isn't purely related to earning money!
- Accept All Invites: When you see invites to races, challenges, missions, etc, accept them! You will broaden your horizons about what you can do in the game, and you will often make the newbies very happy! Of course, if it turns out they're a hopelessly stupid newbie who keeps dying and never improves, then sure, I'd suggest leaving the heist to save your time and sanity. But most of the time, the other players will be smart enough to learn quickly. You can easily make great, new friends this way!
- Protect the Newbies: If you see someone doing a sales mission in a public lobby, why not fly over there in a powerful airborne vehicle (or heck, a missile-equipped Toreador car), and then follow them as their bodyguard against any griefers that may appear!
- Join People's CEO/MC: You can list yourself as "looking for work" via the interaction menu, which will alert other people that there's someone looking for work in the session. You can then join them and help people out with their missions, which is often a fun and relaxing activity for a while!
- Get a Crew: Look around for a crew of like-minded people. They exist. There are crews that specialize in heisting with competent players. There are crews that focus on racing. There are crews for Arena War. There are crews that only do LS Car Meet challenges/races. There's even crews specialized in doing sales missions together, by helping each other with business sales, if that's your thing! Finding a group of people with a compatible mindset and interests really pays off in the end!
- Switch Sessions: You can jump between multiple public sessions until you find one that matches your mood. Perhaps a nice, quiet sessions without griefers, perfect for doing sales missions? Or maybe one where there's a group of people that are actively doing something fun, which you can join in on? Don't just settle for your session. Explore what's out there!
- Do the Stupid Things: Grab your friends or some randoms, and challenge each other to do the most stupid and random things you can think of. The game is a sandbox. So start acting like it! For example, why not challenge each other with things like "everyone starts at the beach without any vehicles, your goal is to get to the Senora Desert convenience store, and you're only allowed to use stolen vehicles, the first person to reach the desert wins", or how about "everyone jumps from the Maze Bank Tower and your goal is to ride your parachute all the way to the ferris wheel". Is that even possible? Who knows! Let's find out!
- Become a Map Creator: If you've had fun making random challenges in freeroam, why not make them into more formal challenges, by creating actual maps? The map creator is very advanced. You can modify the world, add checkpoints anywhere you want, you could make a bicycle race, add pedestrians, enable weapon wheel usage, add parachute jumps, stunt jumps, survival modes, etc. Go wild!
- River Racing: The game has two epic rivers that start at the "Alamo Sea" (desert lake) and head west out to the ocean. Why not do a race with some friends? Get the Blazer Aqua amphibious quad bike and start at the desert, then race through one of the rivers, which is full of fun jumps. Next, decide on a destination (such as the Del Perro Pier) and do the rest of the drive on roads to see who gets there first.
- Stop Flying: Whenever a game lets you fly, you end up skipping huge amounts of content and world design and just flying directly above it all. That's nice if you want to get somewhere efficiently, but it really breaks the game's immersion. Try driving everywhere instead!
- Learn to Fly: Many players are awful at flying (especially the helicopters). Why not practice your flying skills? Perhaps try landing your helicopter at very tight spots, on rooftops, and other fun locations!
- Use Motorcycles: They're more thrilling than cars, because crashing actually has consequences. They're also very fast and agile, which feels awesome while driving through the city!
- Oppressor MK1: Fly around the map, trying to create your own challenges such as flying over the water or climbing Mount Chiliad.
- Climb the Mountain: Find various fun vehicles and attempt to climb Mount Chiliad in them. There's lots of fun to be had with motorcycles at the mountain!
- BMX Tricks: There are so many skate parks and BMX bicycle stunt locations in the city. Why not look at some BMX stunt videos for inspiration?
- Throw Away the GPS: Stop staring at the minimap while driving! This is super fun. Let's say that you need to get to Simeon's shop. Instead of opening up the world map and setting a map marker and following the GPS line like a lemming, try to train yourself to navigate the city! Drive the streets, look at the surroundings and actually navigate! It's so much fun and you'll feel way more relaxed. The city will also feel way more immersive. You can even modify the minimap via "Settings: Display: Radar = Blips", which hides the map so that you can't see the shape of the streets by glancing at the minimap anymore. You can even disable it completely, but unfortunately it also hides the healthbar if you do that.
- Use First Person: You can change the game's camera mode to first person, which is a really unique and immersive way to play the game. Steal some cars and go cruising! It will feel like an entirely different game when you get used to it!
- Take Selfies: Find beautiful locations and attempt to take great screenshots, with perfect framing and composition! You can use the game's built-in snapmatic camera, or you can use your regular screenshot key instead! Collecting photos of your adventures is a nice way to remember where you've been!
- Businesses: There are so many businesses in the game, and it's easy to forget about them after a while. Look at your businesses and begin doing their sourcing and sales missons again! Most of us quit them because they're very grindy, but after a long time away from them, they'll feel fresh again. And they'll feel much more relaxing if you vary between your different businesses and you only do one or two missions at a time, to never get bored.
- Nightclub: Do the promotion/popularity missions, which involve going around town and promoting the nightclub, or helping to remove unwanted or drunk guests from the club. All of that improves your popularity, which improves the passive income you're earning from the club!
- Get the DJs: The nightclub has multiple DJs. Why not unlock them all? Their missions are very fun, and you'll earn new music for your club.
- Bunker: Why not do some manual supply missions, just to relax and have fun? Sure, the optimal way to make money with the bunker is to buy the supplies and do "better" things with your time instead of sourcing supplies, but why does everything have to be about ultimate efficiency all the time? If you're a long-time player, you already have lots of money and you need new things to do!
- Contact Missions: So many people don't even know that you can get missions by calling NPCs on the phone. It's named "contact missions" and they can be very fun. I recommend calling Dax and doing "Request Work" from him, because his missions are very varied and after you've done enough you get various important rewards, such as upgrades for your Acid Lab business.
- CEO/VIP Work: When you're a CEO, you can start SecuroServ missions via the interaction menu. There's lots of fun ones! For example, why not get your favorite car, relax and do the Sightseer mission, seeing where the map markers will take you while you enjoy the relaxing drive? The mission gives you 15 minutes, which is plenty of time to take the scenic route.
- Terrorbyte Missions: Another forgotten relic! The terrorbyte has lots of fun missions which are very good for variation. They used to be the best "active" way to earn money in GTA. Most players who grinded those missions have only done the "optimal rotation", but how about actually doing all of the available missions for fun?
- Rockstar Jobs: There are so many high-quality maps, races and challenge modes in the game. Explore the official list of RockstaCurated jobs in the game's pause menu. There's a ton of them!
- Community Jobs: There's a ton of cool community maps in the game. Remember to favorite the ones you liked so that you can easily start the same again!
- Auto Shop: Do the customer car customization and delivery jobs, and do the heists! They can be done solo.
- MC Club: Do the customer motorcycle customization and delivery jobs.
- Vehicle Warehouse: Do the Import/Export car theft and sales missions. Be sure to use the trick that ensures you only get high-end cars (permanently fill the warehouse with every worthless sourced car in the game, then you will only get high-end cars after that).
- Acid Lab: The best passive income business in the game. Spend some time doing Dax's contact missions to fully upgrade your lab's efficiency and it will become very profitable. Then mix up your gameplay between both sourcing Acid supplies or buying them. And do the sales missions.
- Franklin's Agency: Do the Dr. Dre story missions, then do 201x Security Contract missions until you've unlocked the highest amount of passive daily income (it goes up by $100 every time you do a mission, capped at $20,000 after having done 201 contracts).
- Payphone Hits: They're unlocked after doing at least 3 Security Contract missions. Then you can pick up assassination contracts from ringing payphones. They're very profitable.
- Weekly Time Trials: Do the camotorcycle time trial and the RC car time trial every week, they're a good way to learn how to drive and they give a nice bit of money! Remember that you can hold a key to respawn at the start of the race before the time has ended, if you're sure that you won't make it in time.
- Daily Objectives: In your interaction menu, look at the Objectives and complete them. They're a good way to be inspired to do things you might not do otherwise.
- Daily Collectible Hunts: G's Cache (hunt for the hidden street cache), Kosatka submarine treasure hunt, Street dealer (find it and sell to it every day), etc.
- Get a Fresh Look: Create a new character outfit (clothes, hairstyle, tattoos, mask).
- Use Different Weapons: Challenge yourself to use different weapons than the same old, boring weapon you always use. For example, how about only using the Heavy Revolver? Make those shots count!
- Modify Your Weapons: Change their styles and attachments.
- Tune Your Precious Car: You might have a "perfectly tuned" car that you've been driving for years and that you're always using. Why not modify it a bit? Put a different livery on it, and some different colors at least? What felt "fresh" two years ago would just be contributing to a feeling of "staleness" today. Freshen things up!
- Ride of the Day: Most long-time players have around a hundred vehicles, but most of them collect dust. Why not set fun "challenge" rules for yourself, such as randomly selecting a vehicle and using only that vehicle on that real-life day?
- Outfit of the Day: Why not make it your goal to create a new character "outfit of the day" (or week) whenever you log in? It's a great way to get a fresh feeling every time you play!
- Minigames: How about some Golf, Tennis, Darts or Arm Wrestling?
- Gang Attacks: Find a gang and eliminate them!
- Stash Houses: Find the stash houses and raid them for resources for your businesses.
- Parachute: Go somewhere high up and do a parachute dive! Better yet, look for the Junk Energy Skydives challenges on the map, or do Dom's parachute challenge (which is a special skydive at a random location).
- San Andreas Flight School: Do the flight school challenges! They're at the Los Santos Airport, at the airplane icon!
- Gun Range Challenges: Complete the Bunker's and Ammo-Nation Gun Range shooting challenges!
- Gun Range with Friends: Challenge a friend to the gun range mini-games, where you compete to see who is the most accurate!
- MC Club Missions: Form a MC club with at least one friend, then ride in formation and start MC missions via the interaction menu.
- MC Businesses: Yes, they're the most hated businesses in the game, but why not do them a little bit? You could do a little bit of supplying and a few small sales missions, to ensure that you have small sales. Or, team up with friends and take turns helping each other do larger sales.
- Racing: Do Open Wheel, Stunt Races, Transform Races, and Regular Races. There are so many different kinds of races in the game! The transform races are the newest feature, and are very cool, since you might drive a supercar down the street to the airport, then transform into a plane and fly through the sky, and other epic things, all in the same race map!
- LS Car Meet: Do the challenges, races and rank up your LS Car Meet rank. Try to win the Prize Ride!
- Lobby Car Meets: You can try arranging car meets with other people in the lobby, to check out each other's cars! Just beware of griefers. You may want to do it in the LS Car Meet building to avoid the griefer explosions, or just switch to a lobby with cooler people.
- Arcade: Play the arcade games and try to beat them! Some of them have hidden rewards for completing the game or completing certain challenges.
- Achievements: Look at the pause menu's Stats - Awards section, and pick some award that you'll try to complete! There are so many fun challenges in there, such as attempting to parachute for more than 3 minutes, or robbing every store on the map (you can see the checkmarks on the map to know if you've robbed those stores).
- Stunt Jumps: There are 50 stunt jump locations on the map, which unlock a few rewards and are also really fun to complete!
- Unlock Vehicle Colors: You may have noticed that certain colors are locked behind challenges, such as winning a certain amount of races. Why not finally unlock those colors you've always wanted but were always "too lazy" to unlock? You'll get to enjoy some flashy, new vehicle colors!
- Arena War: Very fun, but unfortunately hard to get a group going for it. But if you can get a group, Arena War is super fun.
- Freemode Battles: Join a large lobby and just do whatever you want while you're waiting for freemode battles, which start every 20 minutes and will alternate between Business Battles and Freemode Challenges. Then attempt to win those battles! Events will only trigger when there are at least 4 players outdoors, and they cannot be in the same CEO/MC.
- Ride with Strangers: Pick your nicest car and then drive around and invite strangers to either ride with you or do impromptu street race 1v1 challenges.
- Freemode Map Markers: Look at the map. There are icons and glowing markers everywhere on the map/streets. Visit whichever icon is nearest your current location and see what's there! Remember that you can go "On Call" (queue) for public races/missions while you're waiting for them to fill up, which lets you stay in Freemode while you're waiting.
- Weekly Bonuses: Look at the Rockstar Newswire to see what the weekly bonus money is, and focus on doing that business/event for a while, to earn some money!
- Max Your Stats: Get all your stats to maximum! Most people haven't finished Strength, which can be gradually maxed for fun by simply punching every civilian you see.
- Invade the Military: Invade the military base at Fort Zancudo with some friends, and make it your mission to steal a Lazer jet plane.
- Heists: Do some heist preps or full heists for fun! Many of them can be casually setup while solo, which is very relaxing! Most of the newer heists can even be completed while solo!
- Change Your Heist Routes: You don't have to always do the same approach over and over again. Most heists have a lot of different approaches. For example, have you ever successfully completed the "Silent and Sneaky" approach at the Casino? Start exploring the different possibilities out there!
- Yellow Mission Markers: The yellow letters/markers on the map show the location of significant storyline missions (such as ULP, Agency, Acid Lab, etc). Visit those locations and start completing the stories that GTA Online has to offer!
- Do the Jobs: Go to "Online - Jobs" in the pause menu, and explore the available options!
- Answer the Calls: There are so many fun missions for English Dave, the various DJs at the Music Locker, the Casino staff, etc. In most cases, you'll also get some kind of reward if you finish them all! You might even get them to stop calling you when you've finished everything, which is a nice reward in itself!
- Check Your Texts/Emails: There's a lot of "mini missions" that arrive via emails/text messages. For example, Simeon asks you to steal certain cars every day. There's also an early game treasure hunt which starts through an email.
- Use Quick Join: There's an app on your phone named "Quick Join". It queues you for a rapid, random job. It's a great way to explore new content, meet new people and to help them with the queues for their own missions.
- Browse the Internet: There are a ton of funny parody websites in GTA Online's internet browser. Explore what's out there!
- Watch TV/Movies: Have you seen all the TV shows and cinema movies yet? If not, relax and have some fun! :)
- Customize Your Phone: You can change the theme, background, ringtone and other settings for your in-game phone. Why not change things a bit?
- Don't Be Annoyed: The phone calls and missions may seem annoying, but try actually relaxing and doing them. Listen to the phone calls. Call the NPCs. Do their missions! They are pretty nice and chill activities which gives you something to do in the game and some challenges.
- Use a Gamepad: If you're a PC player, you'll know that most of the game is too easy, since the aiming and enemy difficulty was balanced for console (gamepad) players. Try using a gamepad on PC! Not only will your driving and flying be massively improved, you'll also have a much more fun fun time when fighting enemies, since you can't just "360 No Scope" everything with your superior pointing device anymore. You'll even get immersive rumble that lets you feel the engine of your cars! How cool is that?! The game's options lets you finetune the sensitivity and aiming mode, and true professionals will use "Free Aim" which completely disables the auto-aiming.
- Meet Different People: If you're mostly a heist person, look for someone who loves cars and start hanging out with them to absorb some of their passion for another aspect of the game. You might learn to love car tuning too!
- Trade Prices: Many vehicles in the game have trade prices which give you a massive discount on the vehicle if you complete the challenge first. So set your eyes on a nice vehicle and do its challenges for fun! The discount you're earning will be like earning a huge sum of money that you put towards that specific vehicle. For example, a 2 million dollar discount on a vehicle you wanted is the same as if you had just earned 2 million dollars that you decided to spend on that vehicle! So don't sleep on the trade price discounts! They're a fun challenge with a very high monetary value!
- Bunker Research: If you have a bunker, try doing the research! You can unlock a ton of cool and super useful vehicle and weapon modifications! The explosive and incendiary ammo are must-haves.
- Mobile Operations Missions: The Mobile Operations Center is a forgotten business. It exists in your bunker, but you can request it via your Interaction Menu. Enter the truck's trailer, and then start missions from the computer in the command room!
- Avenger: Take your Avenger out for a drive! It's an extremely powerful, heavily armored aircraft and can be customized with various fun additions.
- Relaxing Yacht: Why not purchase or upgrade your yacht, and chill on it for a while with some friends? It even has lots of fun water vehicles parked in the water at the yacht, and helicopter pads for easy travel.
- Yacht Missions: You can start the fun "A Superyacht Life" mission series from the captain on your yacht. You'll even get a fun Yacht Captain outfit if you complete them all as host.
- Special Vehicle Work: The Vehicle Warehouse provides various epic missions whose "main" purpose is to unlock trade prices on various weaponized vehicles, but the missions themselves are fun too. Most players only do the specific missions for the vehicles they wanted to buy. Why not complete them all at least once, or play them again for fun?
- Collectibles: The map is full of collectible items, such as USB music sticks, playing cards, action figures, signal jammers (to unlock the best hacker for the Casino heist), etc. Why not relax and do them all for fun? They all unlock something fun or useful!
- Dream Vehicle: Relax, do some research about vehicles are available in the game, and set your eyes on a new "dream vehicle". Then work towards earning it and pimping it just the way you want it! Having a goal is fun!
- Test Drives: Check out the weekly test drives at the "Luxury Autos" shop, at Simeon's "Premium Deluxe Motorsport", and at the "LS Car Meet". You might find your new dream vehicle!
- Collect Vehicle Sets: You might have fun building specific collections, such as all Benny's vehicles in the game, etc. Setting goals for yourself about specific vehicle collections gives you something to strive for, and means that there's a lot of new things you'll need to buy and tune, which will keep you busy for a while!
- Sell Vehicles: Let's be honest, there are a lot of stinkers in your collection. Why not sell them? Just beware of the game's daily sell limit. The limit will be hit somewhere around 30-40 cars sold in 24 real-life hours. I'd suggest only selling 1-5 cars per real life day, which ensures that you'll never face the anger of Rockstar, and you'll have more time to make deliberate choices about which vehicles to get rid of. You'll also be getting roughly 50% of your previously spent money back for each sold vehicle! I'd recommend forcing yourself to drive a vehicle for a while before selling it, and looking at its customizations to see if you'd like it if you changed its style a bit, so that you're absolutely sure that you don't want it.
- Organize Your Vehicles: A lot of people have a complete mess in their garages. Why not begin sorting your cars, such as placing all your best cars at the premium display spots in your office garage? Perhaps organizing the floors by vehicle type? You can have lots of fun and you'll get a much better overview of your available vehicles.
- Relocate Yourself: If you've been staring at the same, old, boring spot for years, it could be fun to move! Most players choose the ugly, industrial, "optimal" locations. Why not relax and move to the beautiful beach instead? The Lombank office, the Insert Coin arcade, the Vespucci Beach MC clubhouse, the Del Perro Nightclub, the Strawberry auto shop, and the Vespucci Canals agency are all very beautiful locations with amazing interior and exterior design and great views! They're also very well placed for all of their business purposes!
- Browse in Person: When you're looking at real estate on the internet, things look very boring and impersonal. Why not take a drive around the city and look at the "real estate for sale" map markers in person? Perhaps you'll find a great new location for your home! However, if it's a multi-apartment house, I recommend checking YouTube for the various room views, to find the room with the best view before you buy it.
- Upgrade Your Properties/Businesses: If you haven't yet upgraded all of the equipment for a business, it's a great idea to upgrade it to improve its efficiency and safety. Or how about changing the interior design for fun, to replace the "same old daily view" with a fresh new look?
- Buy Every Arcade Machine: There are so many fun minigame machines for your arcade. Why not buy them all and pimp that place out? It's a nice place to relax, and even get some rewards for completing the games.
- Get All Passive Businesses: Why not work towards getting and fully upgrading all of the passive incomes in the game? Such as the Nightclub (which automatically generates money in the safe based on popularity, and generates MC business products to sell from its basement), the Acid Lab (which can be restocked with a simple phone call to Mutt, and has easy sales missions), the Arcade (which generates $5000 per in-game day when you've filled all of its interior slots with arcade machines, which can all be the same machine if you want), the Agency (which generates up to $20000 per in-game day based on how many Security Contracts you've completed), Street Dealers (finding the daily street dealer is much faster than regular sales missions, and they pay more than regular missions), Bunker (you can resupply it via one click with the Master Control Terminal in your Arcade, and then simply sell the product when it's still less than 25% full, thus guaranteeing a single sales vehicle every time). An added bonus of having passive businesses is the fact that they let you do other things in the game, such as doing racing and other fun challenges, while your businesses passively produce for you!
- Start Fresh: Did you know that your online account has two character slots? You can actually start fresh by simply withdrawing all of you banked money to your primary character, so that there's $0 in the bank. Then create a new character, which will begin at $0. Then relax and enjoy the ride of building a new empire. I suggest doing things differently this time. For example, if your primary character owns every business, why not just focus on a specific business this time, such as the CEO businesses (cargo crates), or just the vehicle warehouse, etc? Take this opportunity to simplify and avoid grinding, while still building a new playstyle to keep things fresh! Why not skip the Kosatka, so that you don't have the "easy Cayo Perico money" either? This slower, more deliberate, old-school way of making money will ensure that you have lots of fun, and you can set your own goals for what vehicles you want to save up money for on your new character! If you get tired of the grind, just switch back to your primary character again and enjoy the wealth. You can even delete your secondary character again to start fresh as many times as you want to.
- Spend Your Money: Having $100 million unused in the bank is just a completely pointless number, and is basically worth the same as having $0 in the bank if you aren't even using it. Unless your goal is to collect a specific amount of money for fun, I'd instead suggest that you actually start spending absolutely all of your money! Because if you can succeed in being perpetually slightly low on cash, you'll have much more reason to care about doing your businesses when you do want to buy something, which in turn drives your motivation to play again! Having a huge stash of money is bad for your motivation to play! Having a huge sash of money is like having an endless "Rich Daddy's Credit Card" in your wallet. Get rid of that credit card, buy a bunch of fun stuff, and enjoy the game more as a result!
- Play the Story: The vast majority of GTA Online players have barely touched the offline story. Why not relax with the story from time to time, gradually making your way through the epic offline story that started it all?
- Take a Break: If you're truly not finding any fun anymore, then take a break, perhaps a few weeks or a month is all you need to enjoy the game again! They also release content updates roughly twice per year, so you'll always have something new to return to in the future! :)

2023.06.03 22:16 Mykieislost BM isn't who everyone thinks she is
So BM is bio mom for those of you who don't know and I'm a step mom. I need some help. I got into therapy for everything but every single day I feel like it's not gonna help because of how long I've kept everything bottled up and I feel like I'm gonna explode. Let me explain.
BM had slept with someone who was about 13 or 14 when she was 19. Some of her immediate family members know and they have all confessed to my boyfriend about this and everyone is trying to keep it quiet because everyone thinks their family is perfect, you know. Well she also would be on discord and on video games meeting other minors and most of the time, if not all of the time, it was long distance and do all sorts of things with them on video calls that my bf had walked in on basically daily. And before anyone asks why my boyfriend didn't say anything when all of this was going on, he was confused because of all the lying from her at first and then people she met online would come forward to him about her and then she would confess and all sorts of stuff and he was willing to try to work everything out with her because he wanted the kids to have their parents not be divorced.
So fast forward, he's sick of her crap and he tells her she can get her crap together or she can leave so she left.
Now here we are now, about 9 months after she's left and divorce is finalized and we had agreed on supervised visits even though we didn't want the kids around her because he was worried that she would get more visitation if it was up to the court so he settled for 2 days a month.
Everything was going fine until the oldest started acting weird around bath time. I was really hoping we were just overreacting and it was nothing because I had thought all her victims weren't this young. He was saying stuff like "don't touch me, don't touch me" and saying he didn't want to be drowned. I dont know if he's being touched or neglected again (because she did that too. They were trapped in their rooms all day and smeared poop all over their room that she didn't clean up and never changed their diapers, and they were lucky if they got fed).
I encouraged my bf to reach out to BMs dad (who should be supervising the visits) but he never answered the question we asked and when we specified, he tried to call but my bf declined it and BMs dad never sent a response. I encourage him to try the same for BM but she never responded a word to it. This is what freaks me out the most. Especially since all we asked was what the bath time routine looked like for the kids when they had them so it's not like we were accusing them of anything. We were trying to get answers cause maybe it was nothing.
We sent a tip to a certain department and we are hoping it launches an investigation. I just need advice on what to do right now or until then because it's looking like we still have to give them to her today and I feel sick just thinking about handing them over to her.
Also on another note I tried making a post the other day on a different sub talking about being happy, excited even, to be exposing her on social media about what she's done with minors because she advertises herself as a babysitter so I thought it was a very important thing to do but I'm the problem and im immature for wanting to do that and for being happy that her reputation is going to be ruined but also so I can finally be relieved of this burden of knowing what I know and not saying anything just because I didn't know what I could and could not do legally. They also said that i was "pretending to be mommy to heal from my miscarriages" 🙃 which isnt even true because this whole situation has been making it worse...and it makes me so mad that my bf didn't say anything about this years ago when he found out instead of now where it's too late and now stuff could be happening to his children and it's basically his fault now too.
So if someone could please help me figure out how to not fight her when she picks up the kids, I would greatly appreciate it because I don't want to get arrested because of her. But I'm getting to the point where I'm ready to go to jail.

2023.06.03 22:15 GoastRiter [GUIDE] Living Large in Los Santos: Unleashing Chaos.

2023.06.03 22:15 loonling Reddit is effectively shutting down ALL third party apps: What this means for r/CentralValley going forward.
Hey all,
As you've probably heard by now, a couple of days ago Reddit recently announced some policy changes which will result in most, if not all, third-party mobile apps - such as Apollo, BaconReader, Reddit is Fun (RIF), Sync, etc. - unable to continue functioning.
Even if you're not a mobile user or don't use any third-party apps at all, you'll likely still feel the impact of this change. Many of the most active users across Reddit – the ones who provide much of the content – use third-party apps and web browser extensions. These actions of financially locking users and developers out of the API, is unlikely to be the last. This may also be a step towards removing other ways of customizing one's Reddit experience, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite, or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators across all of Reddit depend on tools
only available outside the official app to be able to moderate. Without these tools, it will be difficult for many users to access reddit.
For the visually impaired, the decision is
disastrous as the official apps are inferior or even unusable compared to the various third-party mobile apps available today.
On June 12th, subreddits across the site will begin either going private, setting the subreddit to read-only mode, or closing down indefinitely or entirely. As of this posting, the mod team has had discussions on the path forward, but we have not decided on a specific course of action. We are showing solidarity with the rest of the participating communities by alerting you to this situation.
While we still have a chance to change reddit's decision, I urge each one of you to become educated on this issue and how it will affect you and the site as a whole. You can read more about it at
/modcoord/ or
/Save3rdPartyApps/.
I hope you will understand why this matters to each of us. The subreddits listed above include recommendations users and moderators can take.

2023.06.03 22:14 bpdbestpussydisorder Breed match
Hoping for some breed recs and I’m not searching for a unicorn (like my current rescue mutt is).
Introduction 1) Will this be your first dog? If not, what experience do you have owning/training dogs?
A: no, I currently own two 50 lbs rescues
2) Do you have a preference for rescuing a dog vs. going through a reputable breeder?
A: I prefer to buy from an ethical breeder.
3) Describe your ideal dog.
A: alert of their surroundings (alert barks to strangers on the property), affectionate and cuddly with me, indifferent towards strangers, able to catch onto training quickly, food motivated, enjoys playing tug and fetch, up for anything from couch cuddles to nature walks, patient with indoor cats, neutral towards other dogs. Prefers dogs that are intimidating looking as we live in a sketchy neighborhood and my current rescue gives me scary dog privilege to walk at night.
4) What breeds or types of dogs are you interested in and why?
A: im not sure yet, I like the look of Dobermans, cane corso, bullmastiffs, giant breeds are cool but idk if they fit.
5) What sorts of things would you like to train your dog to do?
A: we would attend puppy classes together. I would also like to obtain a Canine Good Citizen Advanced and advanced trick dog title/award. In addition, I plan on task training for at home service work (not public access so a breed that isnt known for service work isn’t a deal breaker. I just plan on teaching the dog tasks to help me out with my BPD/PTSD at home). Teach basic commands, loose leash walking, following a lure, muzzle conditioning, and cooperative care. And whatever else may be needed.
6) Do you want to compete with your dog in a sport (e.g. agility, obedience, rally) or use your dog for a form of work (e.g. hunting, herding, livestock guarding)? If so, how much experience do you have with this work/sport?
A: although I’m new to sports, I would like to try fastcat.
Care Commitments 7) How long do you want to devote to training, playing with, or otherwise interacting with your dog each day?
A: im a stay at home “dog mom” so I have ample time
8) How long can you exercise your dog each day, on average? What sorts of exercise are you planning to give your dog regularly and does that include using a dog park?
A: about 1-1.5 hrs daily. Two 30 minute walks, swimming, fully fenced in backyard fetch, seasonal hikes- it just depends on how I’m feeling. I do not plan on going to the dog park as I don’t think they’re safe (my dog was attacked at one).
9) How much regular brushing are you willing to do? Are you open to trimming hair, cleaning ears, or doing other grooming at home? If not, would you be willing to pay a professional to do it regularly?
A: I would say a few minutes every week or so with a rubber curry brush (that’s what I do for my current dog), but prefer no trimming or professional grooming. Ok with baths when they get smelly and nail trims and ear cleaning, just no dogs that require haircuts.
Personal Preferences 10) What size dog are you looking for?
A: my ideal size would be 70 lbs, but I would prefer to go up in weight than to own a small dog. Just not my vibe. The biggest dog id own would be like 130lbs ish
11) How much shedding, barking, and slobber can you handle?
A: my short haired dog sheds in the spring and fall and is pretty much lower shedding in between and that what I want at most. I don’t want a heavy shedding dog please (that includes labs, goldens, huskies, gsd, any thick coated double coated breed). Barking when play and when there’s a stranger on the property is fine, but not a dog that barks at anything (no overly vocal high pitched barkers, I prefer deep barks). Slobber when eating and when being baited with treats is ok, but I don’t really want to have a dog that will shake and paint my walls with slobber.
12) How important is being able to let your dog off-leash in an unfenced area?
A: not the biggest priority, my current dog can’t be off leash and it’s not the end of the world. We walk on leashes and have a fully fenced in yard
Dog Personality and Behavior 13) Do you want a snuggly dog or one that prefers some personal space?
A: snuggle bug for sure, my current dog curls up next to me in bed and I love it.
14) Would you prefer a dog that wants to do its own thing or one that’s more eager-to-please?
A: eager to please
15) How would you prefer your dog to respond to someone knocking on the door or entering your yard? How would you prefer your dog to greet strangers or visitors?
A: barking until I tell them to stop (current dog barks to strangers walking by and I don’t mind it, but he won’t bark at everyone-just things in the yard. He doesn’t bark at the neighbors across the street for example). I want my dog to ignore strangers ideally, and focus on me. Dogs that want to be everyone’s bff turn me off, I prefer loyalty.
16) Are you willing to manage a dog that is aggressive to other dogs?
A: I will if it’s the right breed, my male is ssa and we muzzle train and crate train. This will be the only dog in the house when we bring it home (with the exception of 3 indoor cats). But I prefer dogs that aren’t aggressive.
17) Are there any other behaviors you can’t deal with or want to avoid?
A: aggression towards me, stubbornness, heavy vocality, reactivity, chasing our cats.
Lifestyle 18) How often and how long will the dog be left alone?
A: probably just a few hours if I went to run an errand, but even that’s not every day. I’m home pretty much 24/7 (unless I’m out waking).
19) What are the dog-related preferences of other people in the house and what will be their involvement in caring for the dog?
A: I live with my gf and she doesn’t mind as long as the dog fits my lifestyle. She will not be caring for the dog; I will.
20) Do you have other pets or are you planning on having other pets? What breed or type of animal are they?
A: yes we have three indoor cats
21) Will the dog be interacting with children regularly?
A: no we don’t have kids and don’t plan on having them
22) Do you rent or plan to rent in the future? If applicable, what breed or weight restrictions are on your current lease?
A: we own our home, no breed restrictions
23) What city or country do you live in and are you aware of any laws banning certain breeds?
A: live in Georgia, USA. None that I’m aware of.
24) What is the average temperature of a typical summer and winter day where you live?
A: July summers get to the upper 90s with 99% humidity; winters are snow free and at 20-30 degrees.

2023.06.03 22:11 EngineeredCoconut Everything you need to know about why tech recruiting is the way it is
I browse the CS and SE subreddits a lot and I comment on a lot of the threads which talk about
hiring,
interviews, and
recruiting. Since I end up repeating similar information across these threads, I figured I should compile all that information into one post.
Some background about me: I've been building software professionally for around 8+ years, and am currently a Senior Software Engineer at a company that has absolutely nothing to do with delivering food to people who don't want to cook. I have done a lot of interviews, been the interviewer for many candidates, and been HM a few times.
I have only worked within the "big tech" scene, so I have no idea how things work at startups, local, small/medium sized, or non-tech companies, so the information in this post is relevant just for tech companies. I will also mostly focus on the entry-level interviews in this post.
What are the goals of the technical interview?
These are some of the high-level goals for the interview:
- Be cost effective
- Do not use too much engineer time
- Do not make a bad hire
- Be able to recruit from the largest pool of candidates available
- Do not make a bad hire
- Evaluate culture fit (mostly through communication skills)
- Make a good hire
When you are getting thousands of applicants and conducting hundreds of interviews, you need to be very efficient throughout the hiring pipeline. The interview process has to scale with load.
Why do they always ask for a Bachelors degree when you can learn programming from online for free?
Companies want to be cost effective and avoid making bad hires. Bad hires are expensive.
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science means that various third parties (professors) have already validated a candidate's skills (through tests, projects, exams, etc.) over a 4 year period. This is work the company does not have to do, money saved!
It also standardizes all the applicants. Everyone with a Bachelors degree in CS (or CE, SE) has had the
opportunity to learn the same concepts, so we can use a similar interview process to evaluate every candidate.
If I have two self-taught candidates, I have no idea what they have in common. One might have only done React tutorials on YouTube and not know about DSA, and the other might have done the MIT open courseware courses and know about DSA: so they can't get the same questions. Companies don't want to come up with bespoke questions for each candidate, it's too expensive!
A "Bachelors degree in computer science or similar discipline" has been required for all the job postings at all the places I have worked. 3-4 years of work experience as a SE can often offset this requirement.
How many applicants do big tech companies even get?
At most of the places I have worked, most entry level job postings get around 2000+ applications for the duration they are up. This gets cut down by the ATS and the recruiter, but even afterwards we are left with hundreds of applicants. The goal of the interview process is to cut this down aggressively until we get to the
1 person we want to hire.
At Senior+ levels, the number of applicants go down drastically.
Why do they always use DSA/Leetcode questions?
- It is fairly easy, quick, and cheap to come up with new questions. Algorithms is a very wide topic, with many possible problems.
- When problems are inevitably leaked, we can quickly deprecate and replace them.
- They can be asked to every applicant because due to their shared background as BS in CS graduates.
- It is language and tech-stack agnostic. We can use the same interview questions for someone who knows Ruby, Java, C, Rust, etc. We don't have to come up with unique bespoke problems for each language or tech stack.
- Since DSA is very general, interviewers don't need to be an expert in the interviewee's language choice, since the concepts are agnostic.
Why do you want to recruit from the largest pool of candidates? Why don't you focus on one language and stack?
Big tech companies always want strong generalist engineers because we use a lot of different technologies. My team could be using Go for our services today, but we could transition to Rust or C if need be. We also want candidates to be able to fit into any team if required, and not every team uses the same language or stack.
But Leetcode is not what software engineers do day to day, why don't you interview them on REAL SKILLS?
It is not feasible to interview each candidate on "real skills" because of the volume of candidates we interview. Lets consider some other interview options:
Take home projects:
- These questions take a long time to come up with, which means an engineer has to take a lot more of their time away from actually doing engineering work to come up with questions.
- When the question gets leaked, it takes a lot of time to replace them because of (1). Leaving leaked questions up for too long can lead to bad hires.
- We need to make a version of the question per language per stack for us to be able to recruit from the largest pool of candidates. This is very time consuming.
Building an application/API during the interview:
- These questions take a long time to come up with... same as above.
- When the question gets leaked... same as above.
- We need to match the stack that the interviewee chose, with an engineer who also knows that stack. This is not always feasible due to scheduling.
- We do use these kinds of interviews for Senior+ interviews, which are much lower volume.
Debugging a snippet of code:
- These questions take a long time to come up with... same as above.
- When the question gets leaked... same as above.
- We might need to match what the interviewer's stack to the interviewee's stack depending on the complexity.
So that's why we don't use these kinds of other kinds of interviews for entry level interviews.
Can't people just memorize answers and pass the DSA/Leetcode interviews?
Memorizing only gets you so far, and interviewers can usually detect it. It's not like a school exam where you write the correct answer and that's it.
We ask lots of questions about the thought process behind the candidates solution. Someone who simply memorized answers will not be able to able to answer all the deep dive questions. Why did you use a Min Heap and not a Max Heap? Why did you use BFS and not DFS? Can you solve this without sorting?
There's also multiple layers of difficulty to the same problem. If someone solved the problem in 5 mins, I can bump them up to the next level.
Can you even solve the questions you are asking yourself?
It is customary to solve the question you are going to be asking before the interview. So yes, I absolutely can solve all levels of the problem I will be asking. SEs who regularly conduct interviews are generally not too rusty when it comes to solving DSA problems.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb0p1-TGjmc is great watch, which touches on this a bit.
How do you decide which questions to ask?
We have an internal interview problem database. We can only pick problems that exist within these database. Periodically engineers will get assigned to remove leaked questions and add new questions to this pool of questions, to keep it fresh.
Isn't there luck involved?
Yeah, luck is always involved. You could practice Tree problems all month and get hit with a Heap problem, while someone else who practiced Heap problems will make it through.
Luck is involved in most things in life, even in non-DSA interviews.
I'm not good at Leetcode and I don't want to practice, what should I do?
There are still many companies which don't use DSA problems in their screening. When I was a new grad I interviewed at a consulting company and their interview consisted of them asking me some OOP concepts, some Java concepts, and a simple problem like FizzBuzz.
https://github.com/poteto/hiring-without-whiteboards has a list of companies which do not use DSA/Leetcode interviews.
I think these interviews are unfair!
That's valid. But like most things in life, the more popular a thing is, the more competition there is for it. It is more difficult and requires more studying and effort to get into MIT than University of Phoenix, the same applies for tech companies.
Are you even making good hires if you are not testing their REAL SKILLS during the interview?
According to our analytics, we are making good enough hires. We have found that people who have good generalist and foundational knowledge are able to learn whatever REAL SKILLS are required quickly, and end up becoming very productive members of our teams.
At one of my previous companies, we did an AB test where one cohort got the regular DSA/Leetcode interview and another cohort got a take home assignment. After 3 years the data showed that the hires from the DSA/Leetcode cohort got promoted to SE2 slightly faster than the hires from the take home assignment set. The increase was not too significant, but it proved that it was not worth spending the extra resources on coming up with take home assignment questions.
Of course we do make bad hires every now and then, but they are rare, and PIPs exist for this reason.
What about all the good engineers you are missing out on because they don't like DSA/Leetcode interviews or are bad at them?
We might miss out on some good engineers, but it does not end up mattering because of sheer volume. For example, if only 5% of 2000 applicants pass the interview, that is still 100 people.
There is probably at least 5 good engineers within that 100. So even if 500 good engineers got filtered out, we can still hire the 1 good engineer we need for that specific open role.
I'm sure MIT misses out on many exemplary students every year as well!
How many candidates actually pass these interviews?
I would say anywhere from 5-10% of the total interviews we do at the entry level turn into offers.
Summary
I hope that explains the reasoning behind why these interviews are the way they are.
I personally think the perfect system would be similar to how it works for med students with medical school. You get your BS in CS and then go to a 4 year "software engineering school" and a government body (similar to the LCME) will hand out out licenses upon completion. Then you do 3-7 years of residency in various domains. The top of the class get placed into the company and domain of their choosing, and the bottom get placed into whatever is available.
Feel free to ask questions, I will try to answer them. I will not argue with you though since that's pointless.

2023.06.03 22:10 Far-Glass-8758 Potentially Bricked 2 Consoles from Save Data Transfer - Error Code 2217-0000
When I went to transfer save data from my original Nintendo switch to my new OLED I bought recently, I got stuck in an infinite loop. Despite me having transferred save data from Breath of the Wild across systems just fine when I first got the console, this time it has stuck me into an infinite loop. I got to this point by clicking plus on the game I wanted to transfer data from on the home menu, and navigated to transfer save data from there. Sorry for the lack of detail in that part but its been a couple of hours of troubleshooting and I forgot the main initial path to get here...
Anyways, the loop follows the following order:
Boot system -> Text box appears with "Your save data was previously in the process of being transferred. The process will now resume" -> Clicking next results in the message "Searching For source console... Turn on the same console you used before and place it nearby" -> They both recognize each other and change the display to "Please Wait." -> after long enough to cause the screens to dim, they spit the error "2217-0000 Unable to communicate with the other console" out. -> selecting the close option (only option other than details) results in the message "The console will turn off because an error occured. Prepare both consoles being used for the save-data transfer, and then turn the console on again" -> console shuts down as there is literally no other options presented -> Restart from top of loop.
It seems almost inescapable without a factory reset. To list my troubleshooting so far: Powered down both consoles at every stage of the process, turned on and off WiFi, changed between 5.0, 2.4, and hotspot wifi, placed the consoles anywhere from 5 ft away to right on top of each other, connected the two via USB cable I had (though I know this does nothing, more of just a hail mary), cannot escape to home menu (it isn't allowed during data transfer), put it just to sleep, and put it to airplane mode. I've done everything I can think of short of factory resetting a system, something I very much DO NOT WANT TO DO. I have never reset one and do not want to lose any save data. Just completed ToTK on the new switch and do not want to lose my save data from that. On my old system I have tons of shinies in pokemon that I never transferred to home (my PLA account has at least half the dex if not more in shinies). Plus factory resetting one console doesn't mean the other escapes either so if I have to do one, I will be forced to do the other.
If anyone has any suggestions, ideas, or has escaped this never-ending loop before, please let me know. I have no clue why there isn't an option to just exit the data transfer at this point. I get they are in the middle of it or something, but I know there has to be some way to get out... Can't believe something like this would brick 2 consoles...
I'll keep troubleshooting on my end too, but official Nintendo support had no answers and said I maybe would get a response back within a few days to weeks. Until then my systems are bricked...

2023.06.03 22:10 snowsniper66 how to overcome early game
im going on a small rant and i want some opinions as well.
as we know aphelios got nerfed in the latest patch. i honestly dont think it was a horrible nerf because he feels somewhat the same, even with the item nerfs (kraken instead of stormrazer rush is golden). the principle irritates me because even though hes good in pro play, of course he is, these are players who have league down to a science and can coordinate with a team and play around his weaknesses, so that annoyes me.
whatever, regardless im interested in everyomes thoughts on his state right now. i think if aphelios isnt ahead, he is THE MOST useless adc. feels really good when slightly ahead, but if youre even and behind in farm, or just behind you have very little utility and very little ways to catch up, which is the biggest problem with him in the bot lane rigit now (which is why hes better mid).
how do you overcome a pretty bad early game (compared to jhin, cait etc)/ keep yourself relevant in game?
you can literally lose lane just by fucking up farming.

2023.06.03 22:07 MissSweetCandyCoco Toon Cards Guide And Sample Toon Deck!~
Greetings everyone! I have been a Yugioh player for a couple of years now, and I have pretty much EXCLUSIVELY used only one deck. That being the wonderfully cute toons!~ This post is my deck list and me describing each cards main uses and stuff like that!~ The raw deck will be at the end! Keep in mind I would call myself a casual/beginner duelist. So any ideas for better cards would be wonderful in the comments! Keep in mind this is not a pub stomping meta defining deck. This is simply a fun deck that works for me and that I love a lot!~ I am very passionate about toons and would love to hear any and all feedback from you!~ Do keep in mind that this is all just a suggestion and any cards you do not like can be replaced with ones you do like!~ All of this is just a taste of what toons can be and if they are right for you!~
General Toon Shenanigans: Summoning sickness is one of the most important things to toons. All toons are effected by this (unless stated otherwise). This basically means that toons can not attack the turn they are summoned. This is why it is INCREDIBLY POWERFUL for you to go first. Going first will allow you to basically ignore summoning sickness, because they ALREADY can not attack on the first turn. That is not to say that going second is a death sentence. Far from it actually, it just means that you will need a slightly different strategy for both second and first turn plays. The other main thing about toons is their ability to attack directly! Most of the time you are not gonna be interacting with your opponents monsters really ever unless you are taking control of them with Comic hand or if you are destroying them with Toon Black Luster Soldiers ability. FILL YOUR EXTRA DECK. You don’t need any extra deck monsters for this. So just fill it up with random crap you have.
(TBSOL) The Black Stone Of Legend X3: This card is a very great starter for putting some cards on the field! This card allows you to grab a Red Eyes Toon Dragon (RETD) on the field! It also has the side effect of being able to resummon itself, but I never really use that ability and it's never really helpful in any scenario. You are MOSTLY using this to pull out your RETD to start up some combos. Pretty useful whenever you get it. But it is very easily negatable.
Toon Mermaid, Toon Gemini Elf, Toon Dark Magician Girl: These three are mostly toon card fodder. Sometimes you need to summon SOMETHING on your side of the field, and I chose these three. These are never gonna be game changers, but if i need something quick to pull out, I tend to choose these. These cards are easily replaceable by three toon or non toon cards of your choice!
(RETD) Red Eyes Toon Dragon X3: RETD is a staple in your deck and is one of your three ACTUALLY IMPORTANT monster cards. This card has the effect of being able to special summon ANY toon monster in your hand, ignoring their summoning conditions. This is your bread and butter. You will (generally) use this to pull out Toon Dark Magician (TDM) or Toon Black Luster Soldier (TBLS). Pulling out TDM will generally be more important than pulling out TBLS with this ability. Though sometimes you just gotta summon what you got. This card is a GREAT target for TDM’s ability. Keep in mind, you can NOT special summon another copy of RETD with this ability.
(TDM) Toon Dark Magician X3: TDM is your second actually important card! This card has two effects. When you sacrifice one toon monster from your hand, and you can either add one toon spell or trap card to your hand, or special summon one toon monster to the field. Generally speaking, you will use this to summon either RETD or TBLS. OR~ You can use this to get one of many good spells that you need. Such as Toon Bookmark, Comic Hand, Toon Kingdom, or any others you like! This is great to get powerful monsters or powerful spells into the game! TDM is a very useful card at any point in the game. Summoning him through the various different methods you have at your fingertips is always a good plan!
(TBLS) Toon Black Luster Soldier X3: TBLS is your third most important card! This big boy is your killer! You can summon him from the deck using TDM, you can summon him from the hand using RETD, you can summon him by sacrificing two cards that add up too or is more than 8 card levels, you can summon him with Toon Page Flip (TPF). This card is quite possibly the easiest card to summon in the whole deck. With this card, if you go second, you can OTK your opponent. This card has the unique ability of having NO summoning sickness, meaning when you summon it, it can attack like any other normal card. Along with this, it has the ability to be able to choose one card and banish it. Though you can not do both in the same turn. If you are able to summon all three in one turn to your side of the field, you could possibly OTK if you are going second. This card is basically this deck's boss monster.
(TTOC) Toon Table Of Contents X3: This card has the simple effect of searching out any card in your deck that has “Toon” in its name. So NO comic hand can be summoned with this. This card is pretty important. If its your turn, and you have this card along with other cards that let you touch your deck, summon THIS ONE FIRST. If the opponent has a negate or an “ass-blossom and no joy” in their hand and chooses to negate it, you can use another one of your better deck touching cards without any resistance. This card is also great for pulling out Toon Book Mark. Basically use this to pull Toon Book Mark (if you don’t have one in your hand), and then use Toon Book Mark to search for something you actually want.
(AOD) Allure of Darkness X3: This card is very simple. Its a draw two but you have to discard one dark type monster. You have 10 total dark type monsters in this deck. Only use this when you have one of them in your hand. Or if you have no other cards in your hand.
(ST) Shadow Toon X1: If Toon Kingdom is up, you can use this spell to target one of their monsters, and they take as much damage as however much ATK their monster has. This is just a good all around card. Use it if you got it. You can also search this out if they are low on LP and just kill them.
(POE) Pot Of Extravagance X3: This card is super simple. Use this at the start of your turn, it will let you draw 2 cards. The only card this card messes with is Allure of Darkness. Everything else can still be played. This is BASICALLY just a pot of greed. Make sure your extra deck is filled with random cards.
(TBM) Toon Bookmark X3: This card is your bread and butter! When this card is used, you can pull any card with Toon World in the card’s effect and put it in your hand. THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE ONCE PER TURN. Don’t try to use two. Once this card is used, it will be sent to the graveyard. Where, if your Toon Kingdom is targeted for destruction, you can save it with toon bookmark by banishing toon bookmark. This is extremely useful and you should always try to have one in the graveyard. Try to use TTOC to pull this out, or use TDM’s effect to take this out THEN pull whichever toon card you want into your hand.
(CH) Comic Hand X3: ZA HANDO is a powerful card that will help you OTK. This card will equip to one of your enemies cards and let you take control of them. This card is now treated as a toon. Meaning, it can attack directly, and TK will defend it if someone tries to destroy it. This card can OTK if you pick the right target/s. This card is VITAL when you are going second, as you can just…steal the enemies boss monster.
(TK) Toon Kingdom X3: Toon Kingdom is the field spell this entire deck relies on. Nothing can really do anything unless this guy is in play. When you summon it, it will banish 3 of your cards from your deck. Then, once it is on the field, your monsters can start using their effects. If one of your cards is to be destroyed or attacked and destroyed, you can use Toon Kingdom’s effect to protect them, at the cost of banishing one card from your deck. This card should ALWAYS be searched out somehow. Along with this, Toon Bookmark will protect it at all times as long as you have it in your graveyard. So searching this out with Toon Bookmark is a valid strategy.
(TT) Twin Twisters X2: Very simple card. Discard one card, destroy two enemy spells or traps. This card is useful in any deck. No real strategy involved.
(TPF) Toon Page Flip X3: This card will let you choose 3 monster cards from your deck, and will special summon one of them at random. GENERALLY SPEAKING you will choose TDM, RETD, and TBLS as your three. However, this is one of the MAIN REASONS why you should run those three monsters that i stated before. Because, if for some reason, lets say, all three copies of TDM are banished from TK. Then this card is worthless as you can not select 3 monsters. So, make sure to run OTHER targets for this card incase the true 3 targets are MIA.
(WS) Witch’s Strike X1: HEAR ME OUT. LET ME COOK. If you get this card first turn, you can set it. Most people will be trying to delete your toon kingdom rather than caring about any card that you set in your back row. Nobody EVER expects Witch’s strike. The chance of the opponent wanting to destroy this card over wanting to destroy your toon kingdom or any other spells you may have out is nearly zero. And, if your opponent tries to use a negate on your SECOND TURN… BOOM all of their cards are sent to the grave yard. This card can be replaced with anything you want. BUUUUUUUT, I think this card is very funny and fits well with the silly theme of the deck!
Going first: Lets say you are going first. Thats great! That is ideal for this deck. And you draw TBSOL, TBM, TTOC, TDM and TBLS in your starting hand. Great! You are gonna wanna use TTOC first. Lets say they have Ass Blossom and No Joy and the negate that effect! Great! You now use TBM to pull your TK out of your deck and summon your TK. After this, You summon TBSOL and use its effect to Special Summon RETD from your deck. You then use RETD’s effect to pull TDM from your hand to the field, then you use TDM’s second effect to delete TBLS and take out CH and end your turn. Now, your TK is safe because you have TBM in your graveyard. Your monsters are safe because you have TK on the field, and now you have Comic hand so you can possibly take one card from your enemy if they summon one! Leaving you able to kill them on your second turn.
Going Second: Never fear! Lets say you have to go second. Thats cool! Lets also assume they have at least one card that can negate anything you do. Lets start with the same starting hand as last time. So you draw TBSOL, TBM, TTOC, TDM and TBLS, then draw POE. First you use POE, and your opponent obviously negates that. You would now use your TBSOL to pull out RETD, you then use that to pull out your TDM. You then use TDM to sacrifice TBLS to be able to pull CH. you then use TBM to pull TK and summon TK. You then use your TTOC to pull TPF. You get TBLS on the field with that, and then use comic hand to steal their strong monster. Allowing you to do 3000+ however much their monster can do.
Thats all just a sample of what Toons can do! Keep in mind this is all super beginner minded as this is my one and only deck and I have basically only just started playing the game! I would love suggestions in the comments!~

2023.06.03 22:07 CrazyPhilosopher1643 RealmPlay: AI-based RP with an emphasis on privacy and unrestricted imagination
| Hey roleplayers, I wanted to share a small passion project I've been working on called RealmPlay ( realmplay.ai) 🔮. RealmPlay is an AI-powered roleplaying platform with a focus on limitless storytelling and robust user privacy. Built using custom RP models rather than OpenAI, RealmPlay is set to grow and adapt as open-source AI progresses, so we can keep censorship low and focus on protecting your privacy. To put it simply, this is an unrestricted CharacterAI-esque platform that is powered by state-of-the-art LLMs + tech w/ focus on protecting your chats and not limiting content (NSFW etc.) of conversation. Why RealmPlay? - ✨ Alpha-launch: Character creation, sharing, and chatting
- 🔒 Privacy-centric: Committed to protecting your data and content customization
- 🔥No censorship: NSFW content allowed, fostering an open creative environment
- 💻 Cutting-edge tech: Prioritizing an excellent user experience
- 🛠️ Future plans: Infinite Character Memory, AI group-chats & more!
Keep in mind, RealmPlay will start off as a paid platform. Our goal is to maintain a sustainable, ad-free environment while fostering a dedicated community. Your support will help us achieve that vision, as we remain committed to continuous enhancements. If you're interested, please join the waitlist over at realmplay.ai. First 1,000 users get early-access, a free trial and exclusive discounts. Note: If you're on the waitlist, you'll also be the first ones to know and get access to our Free Tier when/if we open it up. Thanks, and looking forward to answering any questions you have. Sneak-peak with some test characters --- FAQ: - Why is this paid?
- I understand that paying for a service isn't always ideal. However, running custom AI models can be quite costly, and using a subscription model is currently the only sustainable way to provide an ad-free platform like this. I will revisit this stance and consider offering a Free Tier as technology evolves.
- Is NSFW content allowed?
- Yes, I will do my best not to add arbitrary rules around what people are allowed to chat about. I want to make the platform as least restrictive as possible.
- How much does RealmPlay cost?
- Pricing is not yet finalized, and I will calculate it based on server costs and other information trying to keep it as reasonable as I can. I'm thinking in the range of a few dollars a month, I'm exploring tiering/token options etc. as well. If there is an opportunity to offer a free-tier option in the future, I'll definitely consider it as well. For now, your support will help us achieve our vision and keep updating the platform with new features.
- How can I contribute?
- Your voice matters! As the founder, I'll be deeply involved with our vibrant community. I plan to actively listen to your ideas and feedback to ensure RealmPlay is built for you and with you in mind. I will prioritize and launch features based on community demand and reward folks for contributions to the project. I will have more details here as we get closer to launch.
- What is the current progress like / when is the launch?
- I'm currently putting the finishing touches on development among other things and I'm eager to share the world of RealmPlay with you soon. I estimate to launch early-access sometime next week and to the public soon after.
