Buying a 2021 Mazda CX-30 w/12000km on it. The dealership I'm buying it from offered an extended warranty for 3000$ for up to 200000km on it. They say it is bumper to bumper and has no time limit, purely based on the km's of the car.
I drive approximately 25000km a year and paying straight cash for this car. The 3rd party warranty company is Sym-tech. Any advice appreciated.

2023.03.20 21:09 MothyReddit When to plant Photoperiod Outside in Virginia?

Trying to figure out the earliest you can plant a seedling (clone) outdoors in southeastern VA. Today is the Equinox, but I'm afraid If I put things outside today they will flower too soon and then re-veg next month and then finally re-flower in late june lol. I am just wondering when the earliest day I can put them outside? without having to add additional outdoor lighting to extend their days. I know I could put auto's out at any point, which I may end up doing. But I have a couple 1 month old clones that I could put outside, they have been under 18hrs of light since they were cut. The longest day in my area is June 21st with 14 hours and 41 minutes of daylight, doesn't that seem short? I guess I could wait til that day, but was curious if anyone had planted photos earlier than the summer solstice. Thanks!

First off, I just joined the Type R family by purchasing a 2020 FK8 this weekend - I got to test drive it and immediately fell in love and knew it had to be mine. I negotiated what I think was a pretty good deal with the dealership because I was shopping around for a new Civic SI after deciding to retire my 2010 GTI, and this dealer was offering a moderately used Type R for the same price others were asking for a new SI.
However, it's a weird situation I've found myself in after purchasing...
The car in question is decently low-mileage and in basically pristine shape, 1 owner w/clean Carfax and inspection. It would have been Honda Certified - except the previous owner made some modifications to the vehicle, which is how I bought it. Mostly they're cosmetic (Carbon wing, lip, etc.) but there are a few that will affect the drivetrain, including an Eventuri carbon intake, cold air pipe, and an HKS blowoff valve.
I ended up deciding to take some of the warranty because the car is no longer under Honda warranty, performance cars have high part costs, and the dealer agreed to do all regular service with zero deductible for six years.
The sticking point is that the maintenance and service contract states that aftermarket parts are not covered; I was told verbally that as long as I went back to this dealer that would not be an issue and they would cover everything as they sold it to me. I got the dealer's owner to agree to it, but my wife is nervous so I drew up a quick agreement/contract and brought it to the dealership asking us both to sign it.
The owner really didn't like that and told me that if I don't trust his word he'll go ahead and cancel the contract. I just don't want it to be an issue in the future (for example if a mechanic says he can't service the engine under the extended warranty because of the existing parts), the owner leaves, something. Am I being obstinate by insisting on a written contract? Am I being scammed? Is it possible the owner is literally just offended and not trying to pull a fast one?

2023.03.20 20:55 Pbio1 MaxCare just paid out $8500 for a new engine

Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone is wondering about maxcare. We bought a Chrysler Pacifica with 50K miles a couple of years ago and we were really torn with whether to purchase the extended warranty. I don't know if I saw some possible issues with this car on the internet or not at the time but we ended up purchasing coverage with a $200 deductible out to 125K miles. In the first year the only issue we had with it was some batteries, but maxcare refused to cover that because they are normal wear items. I started to wonder if we wasted our money since most things that need to be replaced could be seen as normal wear and tear. About a year after that, we started to get a check engine light error for a cylinder misfire. Long story short, after 3 months of trying to diagnose the problem, we were told we had a cracked engine block at 80K miles. Maxcare asked us for our oil change, and service records (NOTE: Keep a record of everything you do!) and they covered the engine. $8700 total and we paid $200. The warranty just paid for itself 3 times over.

2023.03.20 20:50 Quirky-Engineer1529 Neovim not getting completions inside component class

Heya, thought I'm gonna try to ask here since this issue probably has more to do with how a specific project is setup and less with Neovim.
At work we have a Monorepo with multiple Angular applications. Since we updated from v10 to v13, I'm having issues with my autocompletions in Neovim . Those happen only in very specific circumstances though.

If I create a component and this component extends another abstract generic type component, I get 0 autocompletions (except for the "text" already found in the current file). Meaning I don't get autocomplete for any methods from the parent component. I DO get autocomplete if I start typing "implements OnInit" or any other Angular lifecycle methods, BUT then typing the actual implementation inside the class' scope, there is again no completion.

Interestingly enough, inside of a method's scope inside the same class component, auto-complete works again.
I tried for a while to figure out what is going on. On newly created Angular projects, those issues don't exist. It seems like there is something going on where maybe the typescript language server gets hickups at this very specific instance.

Does anyone have an idea how I could tackle this problem or can point me in a possible direction?

For Neovim, I'm using mason, mason-lspconfig, nvim-cmp. The tsserver and typescript parser of treesitter are installed. The angularls is also installed, although those apparently is mostly for template stuff. Both the tsserver and angularls are attached when I'm inside the component.ts

Edit: Inside VsCode the above mentioned issues don't happen. If I don't get it to work, I'll probably have to evaluate switching over and using the NeoVim extension there, but I'd rather first see if I can make it work in Neovim itself.
