Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 - Stuttering Every ~2 hrs
2022.11.09 05:41 skrugzalicious Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 - Stuttering Every ~2 hrs
I bought this computer in July. It worked pretty amazing, but it would stutter once in a while for 2-3 Seconds. Eventually it got a little more laggy and spinning blue wheel. I contacted my IT company and they recommended to reinstall windows from scratch that Dell image is bad sometimes. I thought that was a little crazy so I delayed. I noticed Dell Assist wouldn't run anymore, and I started to get concerned. After talking with Dell directly, they didn't really want to help and punted the issue as soon as I mentioned I had another IT Company.
I then took my IT up on the offer to reimage windows from a thumbdrive and start over. The issue did not change, in fact it was pretty laggy all over the place. They updated some more drivers and things, and it ran very smoothly, but would still stutter.
My IT Company contacted Dell. Dell logged on and made some changes to the graphics card etc, but the only thing that happened was it was MUCH MUCH worse. Lines in autocad wouldn't even visually connect and the computer was basically unusable.
I had my IT company undo what Dell did so I could get some work done, but the stuttering still persisted. We contacted dell back, and they sent out a tech to replace the graphics card. I thought it was all good, but the stuttering continued. With MW2 release, I decided to wear this thing out and see what happens. I maxed everything out and absolutely no issues... but it would still stutter hard for 2-3 seconds every so often. Temperatures fine, everything fine, but the graphics card would just drop out for a bit, and then pick up where it left off like nothing ever happened.
I started to realize it was every couple of hours... so I decided to just stream some music continuously throughout the day... and sure enough... every 1 hr and 45 minutes (it varies from 1 hr 40 min to 2 hr) it stutters for absolutely no reason. Thinking it may be a power issue I ran an extension cord from another electrical run to the office and tried again. Same thing. I removed dellassist, dellsupportassist, and alienwaresupportassist programs (no idea why dell installed all this on my machine). It runs very smooth now... like perfectely... except every 2 hours it stutters hard.
11/07/2022 - 2:53 pm - 4:38 pm - 6:29 pm - 8:11 pm 11/08/2022 - 7:31 pm - 9:38 pm
These are just some of the ones that I recorded / wrote down.
Oddly enough.. nothing shows up on event viewer, reliability viewer, performance (task manager), or HWMonitor, other than, as mentioned, the graphic card just gives out for a few seconds.
I purchased Dell Premium Support through Jun 2025 but they won't even let me speak to a manager. They just keep doing the same things the previous tech did, disconnecting, and punting. I use this computer to run my company as well, and at this point I have spent more of my time/money than the computer is worth and have made no progress.
Please help :)

2022.06.29 00:46 DesperateSoil2022 ACPI BIOS ERROR boot loop problem in windows but not unbuntu.
Dell inspiron 15 7000 laptop (i think);
As in title.
After a game crash + reset; laptop boot looped.
I ran dellsupportassist; found no errors, but continued to boot loop.
Set bios to legacy boot, when I boot from recovery drive; it gives me BSOD with ACPI_BIOS_ERROR; no other information, then continues to boot loop,
Laptop successfully boots from a portable unbuntu dive; once I boot the GPU, CPU, RAM, and nvme drive all work fine.
I also ran memtest86+; no errors detected.
Things I have tried:
Booting with hard drive removed;
Booting with ram removed (lol)
Booting with battery disconnected
all different drive settings (AHRI, RAID, disabled)
BIOS update from 1.10.0 to 1.12.whatever.
I am at a loss, bros.
My next try would be some sort of bios repair app; but I don't even know where to begin there; and I'm not sure where the cmos battery even is in this laptop.
Ive made a raw backup and a drive image of my OS drive from unbuntu, so I just want this thing to start.

2022.01.27 12:24 chessguy12345678910 Bsod error at boot, (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL , Qcamain10x64.sys)
I occasionally get this IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Bsod error at boot, with the file going wrong listed as Qcamain10x64.sys (Qualcomm Atheros Driver), this happens once, the system restarts and the system works fine. I have already scanned for possible malware and the system looks clean, i have also ran sfc /scannow and dism commands to check for possible corruption, with no error. I have a dell vostro 3491,
I remember installing this from DellSupportAssist (Software updates from dell), please assist me on this problem.

2021.11.14 11:26 dashing_pengwing Screen stuck with broken pipe graphic
My Inspiron 15 3000 has generally been pretty slow so I decided to do a full scan using dellsupportassist. The "scan" has been going for about 2hrs now with a rusty broken pipe graphic on my screen.
Can someone let me know if I've messed up and if not, when will this thing end?

Any experiences so far?

2020.12.12 11:04 VongolaEX1 Audio hitch/stutter
I’ve had this problem for a while and it only happened while gaming online so I thought it might have been just been a bad connection or a CPU thing but recently I’ve started using the computer to watch a bit of YouTube and I’m now starting to hear a bit of hitching and stuttering on my system.
Some people have said that the problem was fixed by uninstalling DellSupportAssist and while I would love to uninstall that bloatware it’s supposedly important for the Dell system Diagnostics or something?

here Problem: Dell Inspiron 13 5378 2-in-1 Laptop (Windows 10) stuck in an endless loop of: Blue Screen netwtw04.sys error, restarting going into a DellSupportAssist Scan and then restarting again with another blue screen error.
Info: The problem started yesterday morning, I turned on my laptop, I didn’t shut it down the previous night but I don’t if it can do it itself for an update (I don’t shut down my laptop as often as I should). Anyway I turned on my laptop and got a blue screen error message It said:
Stop Code: KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
What failed: Netwtw04.sys
Then the Laptop restated, and it went into a DellSupportAssist scan, it did the scan and then restarted again. And I ended up straight back where I started with the blue screen error. The loop then continued.
I got in touch with Microsoft and they said that I needed to get into WinRE which I have yet been unable to do as for the life of me I have not been able to put my laptop into automatic repair after turning it on and restarting it several times like it said. Whenever I do this it just puts in the dell scan.
Things I can do: I have been able only to access the BIOS settings and I once a managed to reach F12 boot options.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

2019.09.07 04:21 blak3son Dell XPS13 9380 issues
I recently purchased a Dell XPS13 9380 and ran into a lot of issues. I was just wondering if anyone had similar issues/ is this "normal". All these issues happened in the span of 2 weeks.
- PCIE CardReader corrupted - installed new windows10 Pro
- Bad_Pool_Caller Blue screen error after installing DellSupportAssist. - Did System Reset
- Uninstalling DellSupportAssist did not fix this issue. Computer kept crashing 1 minute into restarting.
- My computer is a little slower
- Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen error (ndis.sys failed) - Uninstalled 3rd party antivirus
I think I fixed most of these issues by myself - calling Dell Tech Support is a huge inconvenience. Restarting my compute my computer crashing so many times in 2 weeks can't be good thing. I a noob with computers but does it damage the system in the long run? Help :(

2019.02.23 17:56 kleezy93 Dell XPS 15 9560 running slow, laggy, bluescreen
Hello all,
My xps 15 is having some issues, which has been going on for awhile but didnt bother to write a post on reddit until now. First, whenever i install and run the dellsupportassist application it would instantly cause a bluescreen and my computer just stops working (i currently have dellsupportassist app uninstalled, what an irony right?). Also chrome is so laggy and in general the entire animation of browsing in windows is just choppy. Opening a browser or clicking on a start menu they are all just not smooth. My 2014 razer blade still runs lot smoother than my xps 15. God why did i purchase piece of garbage :( Could anyone help me with these issues?
Huge thanks!
The spec for my xps 15 is:
Core i7-7700 series 16 gb ram 512gb ssd Gtx 1050 4k monitor
