I’m recently sort of tired of the fact that every single game has to have some form of combat. Even stardew valley, which should be a little happy farming sim.
Do you know of any games that have no combat at all and are not racing/puzzle/card games and at the same time is not obvious like the Sims? Something that is a life simulator, survival, building game or something along these lines but does not have combat at all? I think hunting is okay, as long as the deer won’t fight you back :) The more realistic the game the better. The best I can explain this idea is project zomboid, but with zombies disabled, and if it had npcs living their lives.

Hi Folks, I'm UK based and filed for divorce back in January. Our condiional order has just come through and we employed the services of Amicable for our mediation and finance agreement.
We have only really our house and some savings. My ex is due to receive some inheritance towards the end of next year but we dont know how much yet as its dependant on a house sale. We have two kids at Uni and two at secondary school. Only the younger two are under 18. At the moment I live in the family home and my ex has moved into a rental. she is in a new relationship so this works better as far as that is concerned. We have the kids 50/50
My ex earns a much lower income than me so that any split would end up with her needing about 80-90% of the money to meet her housing needs.
Amicable told us that our choices are putting it very basically:
1 - I buy my ex out but I dont have enough unless she agrees to take her inheritance into consideration.
2 - We sell the family home now or later, split the money accordingly and move on.
For option 1 - we have to stay married on the conditional order step until we agree on the financial settlement. For option 2 - we could potentially negotiate a settlment right away and divorce sooner.
I was wondering if it might be easier to sell the family home give her all of the remaining equity and keep my pension (she could use her inheirtance for hers). This will allow her to live mortgage free and then I could rent and then save for a deposit and start again. Assuming she agrees to this then does anyone see any issues with this? Of course I could push for more but I feel like I want to just draw a line, close the book on this part of my life and move on.
Have any of you just "thrown in the towel" and givne your ex everything and found that its better this way? Interested to hear opinions

Last year, me (M26), and my partner (F28) of 5.5 years decided to open up our relationship. This was upon my suggestion. My partner was initially insecure and anxious, as one would probably expect after hearing a suggestion like this while in a long term monogamous relationship. But she is incredibly supportive and agreed, believing it would help the relationship if I felt that it was something I needed (reasoning was mostly due to meeting at a very young age, being romantically inexperienced, and craving exploration etc).
9 months ago I met someone (F23) who I vibed with really well. Our dates were great, she was sensibly cautious about the enm concept, but clearly very open minded, very understanding, and respectful of my primary relationship. Fast forward and I have fallen in love with her and her with me (so she says). This was upsetting to my primary partner when I told her, but she being the supportive angel that she is, accepts this, knowing it was always a possibility. She hasn't been able to find a connection like the one I have, as the guys that she has liked, have all been very monogamous and they can't get past it. Most nm dudes just seem to want to get in her pants which she doesn't want.
The issue is, I have come to the realisation after this non-monogamous experiment that I am monogamous after all. I too seek strong connection, and casual sex while somewhat exciting in the moment, actually leaves me very unfulfilled and craving emotional intimacy. While I love my primary partner more than anyone else on Earth, I am no longer romantically connected with her. Its not that she isn't attractive, she very much is, but our intimacy (both sexual and general) has heavily declined over time (perhaps the struggles of enm didn't help either). I see her more as family, the closest family I have at that, but I can't get over the fact that we don't seem to be romantically compatible. At the same time, I would like to be free to progress my romantic relationship with my other partner.
On the other hand my primary partner and I share an incredibly strong attachment. There is a level of trust there that I can't compare to anything else, and that same degree of trust does not yet exist with my other partner. I want to maintain the emotional bond that I have, but know that leaving would likely jeopardise that. At the same time I am fearful that if my relationship with my 'secondary' doesn't work out in a monogamous context, I could be left with nothing, so naturally I'm riddled with anxiety atm. I also live with my primary and we are fairly financially entwined which adds another complication.
To summarise, I feel like I can't continue with my primary in a romantic context, but desperately want her to remain in my life and to be a part of hers. I also want to be romantically monogamous with my current secondary, but am uncertain and insecure about our future, and the cost of pursuing it is likely huge. I also don't want to hurt anyone I love, but it seems impossible to avoid.
Any suggestion on how I can work through this would be deeply appreciated. I am not in a great place right now, so I'm hoping other people insights might present some unexplored paths.

Someone signed me up for the club nobody wants to join.
Late April got a surprise 30 psa. Thats the kind of psa where you get to jump queues. In short order got an mri, a biopsy, a pet psma, and then a robotic prostate removal with lymph removal for checking. So from blissfully ignorant 6 weeks ago, to post-op now. I am realizing now this was fairly quick vs some experiences.
The pet ct scan showed nothing except the tumor ( lymphs were clear ) but with Gleason 9 and so on, I think psa is unlikely to go to zero or if it does, it is likely to rise later. The doctor said even if margins on removal are good there can be tendrils that live to grow again.
Today the oncologist told me local scavenge radiation is 50:50 chance for me depending on analysis of tumor and psa level but if required a short hormone course will come first, to give the area time to heal. The radiation would be daily zaps for two weeks. So the plan is still up in the air.
I am sure you guys have heard this speech from them: don’t worry there are a lot of therapies, we aim to cure completely but we have many patients who have been low psa for a decade, blah blah. PC today is a lot more treatable than it was. He even said he has treated maybe 2000 men with pelvic radiation and 80% are still around. yeah I got that whole thing.
Anyway so this is the club, huh. at my age (59) I would prefer to live till 80+ like my dad but now coping with the idea this is a lot less likely.
I am curious for those who got down to zero psa after RP how long did the feeling of being given a new appreciation for life last?
regarding biopsy and surgery for those who have not gone through it. It isn’t so bad. The biopsy is a cake walk, really, and it has been 8 days after the surgery - which was tougher - but today I feel almost back to myself, will worry about ED later after I find out whether I am gonna need ADT or not. If I had to pick the worst thing to date it was the two weeks of anti clotting injections you have to do yourself.
So thats my story so far. In five weeks I suppose the psa will give me a hint as to what happens next. Hoping for the best but not counting on it.

His chicken was in my backyard. So I caught it, killed and cooked it and then ate it where he can see me. I shouted "free food" I ate his pet hen.
People kept saying fake, post removed shortly after. I am not telling a fake story. I know how to prepare a chicken. Rabbits too. Many people were upset too because I killed an animal. Well I have news for them... all animals are killed to make meat. I did it quick, not like halal certified slow death torture for the bird. The neighbour isn't even upset, he laughed and won't get as many eggs. He still has 6 left with his mini farm/rusting cars.

2023.06.07 11:45 DiceCards Loadouts / Armory - a simple solution
I've read a couple of times now that this kind of feature would not work but in my opinion people tend to not think outside the box.
Yes, respecing costs money. Yes, an armory with the exact same function as in D3 would not be viable. But noone is saying that an Armory in D4 has to be the exact same thing as it is in D3. Noone ever stated that Armories should just be free-insta-respecs. Armories and Loadouts can be done in hundreds of different ways, with a cost attached to them.
So the easiest solution I can think of is:
- You get up to X Armory Slots - Every Armory Slot needs to be unlocked by spending X amount of gold, an arbitrary number and only a one-time payment per Slot, increase with every slot - Unlocking the first Slot will grant you the ability to save your current loadout, including Paragon, Skillpoints and Gear - if you want to switch to Loadout X, you need to pay X gold - now there are two options: Either, you are given an info when about to respec on how many points have to be allocated differently, the total number is your actual cost. So if you have 2 completely different builds, swapping between those would be expensive. But only slight changes, from AoE to DPS with a similar build, would be cheaper. Or, price only depends on the total points you have, always, for every swap. - and finally, only allow a specific number of swaps per time interval (once every X minutes) or increase the cost with each swap, but reset the cost after x minutes
Of course, that's just a solution I came up with quickly. It's the bare minimum that would be needed and the most obvious solution I could think of.

Yes, respecing costs money. Yes, an armory with the exact same function as in D3 would not be viable. But noone is saying that an Armory in D4 has to be the exact same thing as it is in D3. Noone ever stated that Armories should just be free-insta-respecs. Armories and Loadouts can be done in hundreds of different ways, with a cost attached to them.
So the easiest solution I can think of is:
- You get up to X Armory Slots - Every Armory Slot needs to be unlocked by spending X amount of gold, an arbitrary number and only a one-time payment per Slot, increase with every slot - Unlocking the first Slot will grant you the ability to save your current loadout, including Paragon, Skillpoints and Gear - if you want to switch to Loadout X, you need to pay X gold - now there are two options: Either, you are given an info when about to respec on how many points have to be allocated differently, the total number is your actual cost. So if you have 2 completely different builds, swapping between those would be expensive. But only slight changes, from AoE to DPS with a similar build, would be cheaper. Or, price only depends on the total points you have, always, for every swap. - and finally, only allow a specific number of swaps per time interval (once every X minutes) or increase the cost with each swap, but reset the cost after x minutes
Of course, that's just a solution I came up with quickly. It's the bare minimum that would be needed and the most obvious solution I could think of.

The people I I use to work for had an tefal acti fryer and I loved the way they just put the food in like chips or sausages and it constantly rotated it so didn’t have to go back to turn it or anything.
But I love the idea that ninja foodi dual zone has a sync feature to eliminate my confusion in timing correctly.

-Please don't say move out. It's not an option. My mom needs me around, and I love to help her. I need some form of strategies to deal with this mess.
My niece is turning 23. She gives off major teenage boy vibes. Probably pre-pubescent boy vibes. And I'm not being mean (I probably am, as I'm typing this spiel about her, but her actions warrant it).
- Due to an incompetent SIL, I pretty much babysit my toddler (2.5yo) niece all day. It's one thing looking after her, but add in a grown woman (second niece 23 yo) who triggers her, takes her things, calls her dresses ugly, tries to eat what I make her, or takes her snacks (causing toddler meltdowns)... it can get absolutely unbearable. Anyway, so the 23yo is constantly on the toddler's case how she has to respect her. And harps on how I am teaching her to be disrespectful and with bad manners (complete moron can't see how she behaves, the toddler is mimicking it back to give her a taste of her own medicine).
I kid you not, I have to be very sensitive when I break up one of their fights up, because it can cause the 23yo to have a meltdown of her own and go on a swearing tirade against me, to then involve my mum.
- So night time is when I get to work. This teenage boy of a niece would come back from the gym, sit on my furniture after working out (i repeatedly tell her not to do it), takes my things, If I don't respond to her she will literally get in my face (not to start a fight, but to annoy me). She throws things at me. She is a very NEEDY attention seeking person, and can't handle if someone doesnt have time in their day for her.
- She does 0 housework. She expects her mom (use to be my mom, but we (other sister and I) got her to see through her ways) to pay for everything for her (even when she works and makes enough to cover her expenses). She then goes on to rail on how much mature she is than everyone else.
- Perhaps if it was left at that, I could tolerate her. But her and her mom work as a dynamic duo to leech off my mum and emotionally and financially abuse her. She got my mum to pay for her 12K car. She crashed it, made my mom do her insurance claim. She now looking at a BMW, and wants my mom to pay half of it (saying she will pay installments back). Insurance claim got accepted, so she got a car to drive in the mean time, so the BMW won't be coming. Anyway we have to hear how she's a victim, because one time she went to a parking lot of professionals and they were all driving teslas, audi, bmws, mercs etcs, when she was driving a volkswagon. What annoys me is how my mum can eat up her cunning talk and genuinely believe there is 1% chance she is deserving of anything of that nature.
- An office my mom bought years ago, my sister (her mum) has claimed it as an art gallery. It just sits there with her name over it. She doesn't do anything to make it work and to earn an income. Worst of all, this niece has her eyes all over it. She is eyeing it from her own mum (lol). Now you might consider me as wanting it for myself, but I genuinely don't need a cent, and have zero intention to ever take a dime that I don't work for, esp from my mom. I work from home. If I were to use it, I would pay my mum RENT.
- I have to be VERY strategic how I speak to them with my mom. They have convinced her, they are the outcasts of the family, and speaking up against them can easily be conflated as picking on them which can worsen the situation. It's an ugly cycle, driven by these two manipulation queens.
- She use to mock my physical appearance all the time. At one point in time, i use to have very thinning hair. She mocked me incessantly, whenever I did my hair in a cute style she was there to tear me down and how it looked (this is just an example of the level of manipulation she has to try and control how I feel). My hair grew in since then, so she can't mock me anymore.
So please feel free to let me know have I gone bonkers where behavior like this is acceptable, and I am just some uptight 30yo. Thanks

What annoys me is how my mum can eat up her cunning talk and genuinely believe there is 1% chance she is deserving of anything of that nature.
- An office my mom bought years ago, my sister (her mum) has claimed it as an art gallery. It just sits there with her name over it. She doesn't do anything to make it work and to earn an income. Worst of all, this niece has her eyes all over it. She is eyeing it from her own mum (lol). Now you might consider me as wanting it for myself, but I genuinely don't need a cent, and have zero intention to ever take a dime that I don't work for, esp from my mom. I work from home. If I were to use it, I would pay my mum RENT.
- I have to be VERY strategic how I speak to them with my mom. They have convinced her, they are the outcasts of the family, and speaking up against them can easily be conflated as picking on them which can worsen the situation. It's an ugly cycle, driven by these two manipulation queens.
- She use to mock my physical appearance all the time. At one point in time, i use to have very thinning hair. She mocked me incessantly, whenever I did my hair in a cute style she was there to tear me down and how it looked (this is just an example of the level of manipulation she has to try and control how I feel). My hair grew in since then, so she can't mock me anymore.
So please feel free to let me know have I gone bonkers where behavior like this is acceptable, and I am just some uptight 30yo. Thanks

I wanted to write about my first impressions with the Haibo Arise Air. I've used it for around 6-7 fishing sessions at this point.
What I like:
The Arise's performance is, as presumed, really really good. A reel that combines the breaking system of the top two manufacturers manufactures in the BFS game and has a spool weight of 5g is going to have amazing performance right? At least I thought so, which is why I bought the reel, and it turns out to be true! The reel casts very far and with great accuracy, even with 3g lures (which is what I fish most often)! It also responds relatively well to different casting movements without changing the break settings (flipping, pitching, casting). The reel is also extremely smooth, at times I can't even feel the weight of the lure through the handles.
What I don't like:
The handle. The handle is far too large for BFS in my opinion. Finesse knobs combined with a handle of such a size does not work well. The knobs are fine though.

My husband gets really poor sleep, and I am hoping I can convince a doctor to have him do a sleep study or something. Unfortunately, our insurance doesn't kick in for a couple months, so I'm hoping I can get some advice here in the meantime.
Despite being in bed and unconscious for 8+ hours at night, my husband often wakes up tired. He has semi-regular headaches and I wonder if they might be due to exhaustion. The headache usually subsides if he gets a decent nap. He's tried a few different sleep aides and those nostril strip thingies, but nothing has helped so far.
The thing that I find really strange is his snoring. It doesn't sound normal to me. There are two types that occur the most frequently. The first is a weird half-snore that just shakes the bed. It's like he inhales only half a breath, but then his body wants to exhale a whole breath. His stomach tightens at the end, like he's squeezing out as much air as possible. The second snore he does sometimes is a "backwards" snore. I say it's backwards because the noise happens on the exhale. He'll inhale a breath without too much difficulty, but then on the exhale it's like his nose just decides it doesn't wanna do it. His mouth doesn't open, so it's like someone's trying to do the motorboat sound with their lips pressed together too tightly.
Sometimes shifting his position helps with breathing at night, but only rarely. He says he has mucus sometimes, so he'll try to elevate himself with pillows, but that doesn't always help.
EDIT: Forgot these details.... My husband is 28, no illnesses or medications. He doesn't even drink alcohol. He's 5'5" and I don't recall his exact weight, but he does have a gut that he's been trying to lose through exercise. Sleeping issues started before the exercise (we were even hoping exercise would help him sleep, no luck)
