Fry's 64th and greenway

I live in Greenway/Upper Kirby and was wondering if there are any nice restaurants that I could treat my girlfriend to (where we can dress business casual) but I don't break the bank either. I have a car, so the restaurant does not have to be near this area.

Hey there! I'm going to the Seven Lions show @ San Diego and I'm gonna bring my pops with me. He recently expressed some curiosity about it after seeing that I had been going to electronic shows for over a year now so I decided to invite him, especially since his 64th birthday is the day before. As of right now his favorite 7L track is Creation!
I already have earplugs for him, but is there anything else I should take in to consideration? I also plan on getting him a runners belt or something similar so he has somewhere secure to put his phone and cards.

Nearcraft is a vanilla SMP (with a few small datapacks like vanilla tweaks) that will updating to 1.20 for its second iteration! Season 1 ran for a year and a half and is wrapping up in June, and Season 2 will begin on July 8th. Season 1 saw the creation of a shopping district, a slew of cult and factions, epic builds and redstone machines. Who knows what Season 2 will bring :)
Nearcraft is geared toward small content creators, but has plenty of non-content-creator players as well. We have a cozy and welcoming little community, and take special care to make sure everyone feels content and safe in this space. Although there are admins, Nearcraft is democratically run - just about everything is voted on, from plugins and datapacks to events and applications.

So my current setup for my 10 orange medaka is a simple pond-like container, with no filter, no substrate, just air pump and a couple of plants. Like a breeder’s set-up basically. But now that I have about 40 new frys, I’ve decided to finally get an aquarium. I Also got “filter soil”, and some plants. Now i just read about cycling and I’m not sure if I need to do that. I’m a bit anxious and intimidated because it’s my first time. I wanna avoid making mistakes so if you could give me some general advice about starting an aquarium, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Level 1 here. What are things I should be remembering to call out for the grills and frys as an order taker? It’s been a while for me since I’ve been in surgery recovery and got back maybe like 5 weeks ago. And I’ve been too embarrassed to ask what I should be giving a heads up about. No one has said anything but I still want to make sure. Any specific wording or phrasing would help too. Thank you.

Is it possible to get to Bridge Park from Sedgwick by going down Depot Pl to Exterior Street. Judging from google maps and pictures it is but I see there's also construction going on so I am unsure if it's currently blocked off.
Are River Park Towers accessible from this greenway? On maps it shows open but it looks like it's a fence that could be closed at any time...

I have lived in Steele Creek for about 7 years (near the Rivergate area). If you know that location, u know there is no way to avoid S Tryon if you work uptown. That commute is 1.5 hrs for me and I am not always in the mood to cycle for that long. Anyway I’m planning to move to the Southpark area and curious what routes you all use to commute to uptown? Let’s say starting around the South Park mall. Should I take Park Rd until I reach the Park Rd shopping center then use the greenways from there? Or can I avoid Park Rd altogether?

This is a great way to test out this route if you haven't been on it yet. Cycling with a group like this is great if you haven't cycled in a while and are a bit anxious about getting back on the bike.
It's a relaxed family friendly cycle; you can even rent a city bike if you don't have your own!.
There will be a talk about biodiversity and history along the route as well.

Join us for a family friendly cycle along a section of the Lee to Sea Greenway, with a biodiversity and history talk along the route.
The group will gather outside the library on Grand Parade and will head off on a cycle of a section of the Lee to Sea Greenway. The route will go as far as Rochestown taking the Lough Mahon route and will return to Marina Market for refreshments via the greenway and Marina. The cycle is family friendly and will be leisurely, meaning it's open to all ages and abilities. Along the route we will stop for a history talk and a conversion on biodiversity ensuring an interesting morning for all involved. Please note that all under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. We will have stewards present on the day but personal responsibility will be expected and required.

Here are all of the new US CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in May 2023, according to the Department of Energy. These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:

1. Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
2. Leaf owners like me, and some owners of older cars that also use CHAdeMO. If you drive a Leaf, or an older CHAdeMO car, see my matching post in leaf.

Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
There were 222 CCS charge points added or refreshed in May 2023, which is up from 171 in April. For comparison, there were only 74 new CCS charge points in May 2022. Things are speeding up.
"What about CCS charging at Tesla superchargers?" Tesla is in the process of rolling out their "magic dock" for non-Tesla cars, but so far in very few locations. If they start doing this at scale and reporting it to the Alternative Fuels Data Center then it will be reflected here.
"What about Ford vehicles with NACS (Tesla) plugs?" They are not on sale yet. Current-generation Ford vehicles have CCS plugs. The next generation will have NACS (Tesla) plugs, but will also support CCS via an adapter.

I'm moving to El Cerrito soon (near Del Norte BART) and want to figure out a safe route to/from the Richmond Ferry. Any ideas? Google Maps suggests the Richmond Greenway, but my understanding is that that can get pretty sketchy at times. I don't mind going the long way round via the Bay Trail if I have to, but I'm at a loss even for the best way to get there. Thanks in advance.

I love me some German chocolate cake but it's getting hard to find lately. Fry's used to have a good 'nuff version before the pandemic but they've replaced it with some horrible cheap version like something from Walmart. I've checked some bakeries in Scottsdale but no luck. And Whole Foods and Sprouts are no-go as well. Would love to find a local bakery to patronize with my cravings! 😉

Save me from the apps, they’re terrible and I never want to use them again – and I love the pen-pal nature of reddit and how you get to know someone slowly, a bit old-fashioned maybe. Surely there’s some geeky quasi-fit single mom (dog moms also welcome) who spends way too much time on reddit and is looking for a guy like me. What kind of guy is that? I would like to think I’m an extraordinary person in a very ordinary package. Easy going, playful, funny, sarcastic… but behind that I’m a high-effort, good communicator, authentic, romantic guy. I’m an introvert who fakes it really well (or maybe I’m an extrovert who just needs a lot of recharge time!?). Quality time and acts of service are my love language(s); you can’t fake the time and effort you put into building a bond.
I’m an asset at bar trivia but a liability in escape rooms. Impress me with your travel stories. I have many, I want to hear yours, and really want to create more together. I enjoy driving with the windows down and music too loud. I’m secure enough as a man (and old enough) to admit that Sex in the City was a fantastic television show (no comment on the movies though).
Things I enjoy: coffee shops, diners, breweries, daytrips, discovering a new greenway to run or trail to hike. Things I don’t enjoy: rollercoasters, spiders, how much concert tickets cost, the amount of dust on my passport. Other passions include long meandering conversations, history, geopolitics, board games, reading. Mostly liberal, guilty-Catholic, grad degree, credit score like whoa. My biggest hobby is running, I do half marathons and overnight team relays several times per year. Have a regular workout + social group that means a lot to me. Life can be hard, I think good friendships and good routines are really important to keep grounded.
I have two elementary-age kids, they’re awesome. They’ll be the only kids I will ever have, but I’m down for being the world’s best stepdad. Or dog dad, I miss fur-covered clothing. Save me from the apps, they’re terrible and I never want to use them again – and I love the pen-pal nature of reddit and how you get to know someone slowly, a bit old-fashioned maybe. Surely there’s some geeky quasi-fit single mom (dog moms also welcome) who spends way too much time on reddit and is looking for a guy like me. What kind of guy is that? I would like to think I’m an extraordinary person in a very ordinary package. Easy going, playful, funny, sarcastic… but behind that I’m a high-effort, good communicator, authentic, romantic guy. I’m an introvert who fakes it really well (or maybe I’m an extrovert who just needs a lot of recharge time!?). Quality time and acts of service are my love language(s); you can’t fake the time and effort you put into building a bond.
I’m an asset at bar trivia but a liability in escape rooms. Impress me with your travel stories. I have many, I want to hear yours, and really want to create more together. I enjoy driving with the windows down and music too loud. I’m secure enough as a man (and old enough) to admit that Sex in the City was a fantastic television show (no comment on the movies though).
Things I enjoy: coffee shops, diners, breweries, daytrips, discovering a new greenway to run or trail to hike. Things I don’t enjoy: rollercoasters, spiders, how much concert tickets cost, the amount of dust on my passport. Other passions include long meandering conversations, history, geopolitics, board games, reading. Mostly liberal, guilty-Catholic, grad degree, credit score like whoa. My biggest hobby is running, I do half marathons and overnight team relays several times per year. Have a regular workout + social group that means a lot to me. Life can be hard, I think good friendships and good routines are really important to keep grounded.
I have two elementary-age kids, they’re awesome. They’ll be the only kids I will ever have, but I’m down for being the world’s best stepdad. Or dog dad, I miss fur-covered clothing. I run about 25 miles per week (usually the bridges and greenways in Manhattan). What’s the best way for me to start running in races? What length should I start with? Is NYRR the best place to sign up for races? Basically looking for foundational information. TYIA!
