2023.06.05 19:18 BakerBunearyBella YugiBoomer Floowandereeze extensions via Simorgh
| During your Floo combo, if you end up with Perfection in your hand, use its effect (or a Floo effect) to Normal summon it. On summon, send Lord of the Storm to the GY, and add Sacred Lands (basically discount Map+Unexplored Winds) to your hand. You can use both these cards on turn 3 (you can get Lord of the Storm back to hand when they don't read and crash into Perfection) to push for lethal. This tech is not as good as full power Floowandereeze, but since in MD the deck has basically 3 less copies of Map compared to the TCG, you have space to try it if you like. Worst case scenario, you banish one of the boomer birds with Advent. The big bird isn't absolutely necessary. I'm actually testing with 3 Perfection instead of my Tearlaments hate cards and it's doing okay so far. I anticipate this tech might be a solid option after this banlist. submitted by BakerBunearyBella to masterduel [link] [comments] |

2023.06.03 17:48 Patient-Ad640 Easy craft deck for beginners?
I'm new to the game but I really enjoy it so far, the only issue is that vortex of magic just doesn't hold up in most game. I've been saving up cp and wanted to craft a deck of my own.
I don't know what's meta atm but I do know floowandereez decks are pretty cool.
Any suggestions for a deck I can craft that's easy for a new player to get the hand of?

2023.06.03 17:40 solarielite Guiding Quem and Mirrorjade
I was playing in YGO Omega, and on the opponent's turn, I Mirrorjade effect once, Branded in Red with Ad Libitum to Guardian Chimera and Mirrorjade effect the 2nd time. If I sent a Mirrorjade to the GY to activate the effect of the Mirrorjade on the field while Quem is also out, why does Quem not trigger to allow me to bring back the Mirrorjade I just sent to the graveyard.
Is this the "missing the timing" thing I've been hearing about? I'm relatively new to playing YGO outside of playing the old GX Tag Force and Master Duel playing only Floowandereeze, so I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to the rules yet.

2023.06.03 12:53 fluschy Terror of the Overroot vs Cards that will banish when leaving the field
What happens if you activate Terror of the Overroot vs Floowandereeze and Robina? Robina says its banished when leaving the field, making it an invalid target for Overroot? Same as droplet, you cant put Robina to grave for Droplet, because Robina would banish.

2023.05.31 18:49 BakerBunearyBella Any other control deck enjoyers playtesting this card yet?
| This is absolutely cracked in Floowandereeze. I realized there are a lot of decks I play where I don't use monster handtraps. Runick for example. Pretty sure this also works in Umi and Traptrix. submitted by BakerBunearyBella to masterduel [link] [comments] |
2023.05.31 16:55 memeslut_420 Do I need to buy a better deck to beat Floowandereeze?
I'm getting back into the game and I've built some budget decks/put together older ones I had (2018ish).
I built my friend a Floowandereeze deck and I'm now realizing that it might be completely unbeatable with what I've currently got built (lost world dinos and traptrix).
Floo is completely uninteractive and seems to have absolutely 0 counterplay. The birds ALWAYS come back to hand because nothing in the game of Yu-Gi-Oh prevents them from being face-up banished, so even Evenly is completely meaningless against them since they'll just get every single card returned to hand next turn.
None of the traptrix cards do anything AT ALL to Floo since, once again, they always banish and will get recycled next turn anyway, going +3 unpreventably. Floo doesn't special summon, which turns off most of Traptrix's good trap holes anyway.
They play through any and all handtraps effortlessly (especially if they have the quick-play), they take an entire second turn on your turn, and unpreventably go +3 every turn, even through multiple negates, since they can just chain-block all of their effects. They don't care about getting booked face-down by Floodgate or UCT since they'll just tribute anyway and they get their free plusses from their banished cards anyway.
Am I missing something here, or do Lost World Dinos and Traptrix just not have enough power to contend with Floo? I'm starting to think my issue is just that I need to build a more powerful deck (unless I run really stupid targeted hate like Zombie World [which fucks Dinos and Traptrix too]), and that feels shitty since I'm just playing against my one friend.
EDIT: I'm aware that I can run hyper-specific side cards like Imperial Iron Wall or Zombie World to out Floo, but since I'm just 1v1ing a friend, I felt it would be unsporting to do something like that. I was hoping that there was counterplay to the Floowandereeze strategy I could do with my Dinos or Traptrix, but what I'm learning is that Floo is like True Draco, where it doesn't have counterPLAY, it has outs you can side in (or main) and hope to draw.

2023.05.31 08:41 Longlivetheking666 Floowandereeze has been directly or indirectly hit on the F&L list seven times. Is it finally time to admit that Floo players are the most oppressed group of duelists in this game?
2023.05.31 07:11 memeslut_420 Traptrix unwinnable matchup vs floowandereeze?
Hey I'm playing traptrix and I'm pretty sure the floo matchup is unwinnable. If you don't get hit with an Evenly, you lose anyway because none of your trap holes effect them. Nightmare and Delusion are turned off by default because they don't special summon.
Bottomless does nothing because whatever you banish, they'll get back next turn.
Floodgate does nothing because they'll just tribute that monster anyway.
Gravediggers is a minus because their birds will just trigger next turn.
Is there any way for Traptrix to compete in this matchup?
I'm mainly asking cause I built my friend a Floo deck and me a Traptrix one and I just can't interact with anything he does

2023.05.30 17:35 thelure2112 Observations of a first time player in the second round
So it was my first time in the second round this go around. Largely because after banging my head against the wall in the first duelist cup. I didn't really find it worth it after that. But for this WCS event I thought the banner & maybe even getting an Icon might be cool. So here is my general experience.
I probably played around 100 games, maybe a few more than that. I played a little bit Friday morning, a lot Friday afternoon, & quite a bit Saturday morning. At which point I had decided I had enough points (16,000-ish) to secure myself a place in the top 10k & get a bronze icon badge. I had actively decided getting into the top 1,000 while probably pretty realistic wasn't worth my entire weekend. The highest I ever got to was 1,250 globally & 106 in North America. I eventually fell to somewhere around 320 in North America & 4,300 globally after not playing for a day & a half.
During the event, I played Swordsoul. The reason for this was because I didn't feel I was good enough at Tear to be consistently effective in the mirror. Likewise, most decks were geared specifically to take on Tear. Which meant that more often than not every deck I played against was not optimized to handle a Swordsoul deck. Likewise, most Tear decks seem to not have run Ash. Which meant that almost every time I dropped Maxx "C" it resolved. Similarly, I found that if a Tear player wasn't uniquely talented with the deck, I was able to eat their lunch. As they would fall for every manner of bait & get frazzled the moment they stepped outside of their memorized combo lines.
As for the decks I played, I'll list my guesstimates below. Almost every game I lost was to Tear, I'd say my win rate there was about 40% (though it tended to be like 60 or so percent when going first). I won the vast majority of my games against Spright, I never lost to a Floo deck, & the only rogue deck I lost to was Sky Striker of all things. I suspect Swordsoul is just really well positioned to punish decks that are running builds optimized to take on Tear.
