2023.06.07 14:25 jczz23 I stole from work all the time and I dont regret it
I used to work at Quiktrip, was there for a little over a year, and in my time there ive probably stolen over $3,000 in cash and merchandise. Seriously, while i was working there i noticed how easy it was to steal from there as a clerk, shit its still pretty easy to steal as a customer if you know what youre doing. If youre working the register and you have decent slight of hand skills, its super easy to nab some cash for yourself, and as long as you know what youre doing, you can get away with it without any suspicions towards you. Yea theyll notice when they see theyre short, but if you do your job right and youre good at hiding it, youll never be suspected, even more so if youre good friends with management. Apart from money ive also stolen lotto scratchers, food, cases if drinks, ive even stolen a pair of wireless earbuds that a store had once. When i stole the scratchers i would always get the $20 loteria ones, or i would grab a couple benjis from the register and use the nice blue machine to get the $50 or $100 ones, funny enough i also learned that those super expensive scratchers you rarely ever win on em, if at all.
I think back often and wonder if it was worth it, i say yea it was. I was never caught and now Im in a much better job now and i regret nothing.

2023.06.07 14:25 bethskw [Meet Report] USAWA HackenDinnie Classic - Albany, KY, USA (690 lb total @ 155 bwt) - overall win & set several records
I beat the men again :) This was a super fun and well-run meet.
photo for cover Background and training
I compete in USAWA, the
US All-Round Weightlifting Association, best known for its many wacky odd lifts. This meet had just two official lifts, the Hackenschmidt Floor Press (a floor press done with the bar at 15" off the ground) and the Dinnie lift (weights in two stacks with ring handles, one heavier than the other, to mimic the famous Dinnie Stones of Scotland). After the competition was over, the organizer held a "record day" where lifters can pick anything they like from the rulebook and attempt to set or break records.
I've been competing in USAWA since 2019 and have been the undefeated women's champ at all the in-person meets I've done--although in many cases I was the only woman competing. Usually men and women are scored separately, but I asked ahead of time if the HackenDinnie organizer would be able to use a formula that combines men's and women's scores. Because, I told him, I'm competing to win. (He said yes.)
Meet prep
The first time I tried the floor press, I was only able to move 75 kilos (about 160 pounds).
u/BenchPauper suggested using the Gillingham bench template to train it, which involved one day each week with a heavy single and backoff sets, and a second day with lighter lifts. After a few weeks I figured out the right grip width and bar placement and was able to hit 85 kilos (about 185 pounds). This remained my 1RM for the rest of training. I deviated from Gillingham in the last few weeks, but it was a solid structure to keep me in practice for most of my training time.
The Dinnie lift I've done before. Back in 2020 I got up to 503 pounds with straps. But in USAWA, no straps are allowed, nor even thumb tape. You just chalk up your hands and go for it. My best without straps had been 418 pounds.
When I trained the Dinnie lift, I kept getting little tweaks and aches and pains. One time I took two weeks off of Dinnie lifting because I was convinced I'd sprained my left ACL. (That's the ACL I tore and had reconstructed many years ago, so it kind of spooked me.) Later I had an issue with my hip. I was kinda bummed about all of this and didn't train this lift as heavy as I would have liked. Fortunately, by the time the meet rolled around everything was feeling better.
I had a total of 11 weeks between my last big weightlifting meet (Masters Nationals in olympic weightlifting) and the HackenDinnie. I did 3 days/week of normal weightlifting training, and 2 days where I practiced these two lifts and a few other lifts that I selected for the record portion. I pulled my last heavy Dinnie lift 8 days out, at about 440 pounds. My heaviest in the whole training cycle had been a hook grip PR at 470. On
u/just-another-scrub's recommendation I bought a pair of Versa Gripps to get in more volume without worrying about my thumbs, but in the end my lower body injuries (or fear thereof) limited me more than my grip.
Meet day
I drove down to Kentucky for this one. The meet was held in Clint Poore's very nice garage gym and he put on an extremely well run meet. I refereed when I wasn't lifting.
The guys at the scoring table called me over to ask what my opener really was on the floor press--maybe it was my handwriting, or maybe they weren't expecting me to open at 180 pounds. Out of 11 people there, I was 4th to open on the floor press. And of 9 people who did the Dinnie lift, I was second-to-last to open. One lifter bumped up his own opener to match mine (430).
The lifts
Hackenschmidt floor press
- 180 pounds - good lift, and set a record in my weight class.
- 185 pounds - had to follow myself. Good lift and an all-time women's national record.
- 190 pounds - I believe I followed myself again. I didn't quite wait long enough for the down command, but got white lights and a warning.
- 200 pounds - 190 moved so easy I knew I had more in me, so I went for the big 2 hundo for a 4th attempt for record. Looking at the video I think I may have even had a bit more.
(This lift is not eligible for world records in our international organization, IAWA.)
Dinnie lift
Had to wait a while to open this one. My hands began to slip on my last warmup at 400, so I made a note to chalk the heck up and to believe in the magic of the taper.
- 430 pounds - good lift and set a record in my weight class.
- 480 pounds - good lift and beats the record in the 70kg weight class. (I had chosen to be in the 75 to make sure I wouldn't have to worry about whether I could beat this number--but here I am beating it anywaay.)
- 500 pounds - good lift and a women's all time national record.
- 510 pounds on a 4th attempt - good lift at a poundage that beats all the IAWA women's world records as well. Sound on for this one!
There are several women who have either lifted the real Dinnie stones or the Rogue replicas, at 734 pounds, so it's not a world best lift. But 510 is higher than any woman's Dinnie lift in our record books.
I also had the second-heaviest Dinnie lift (by raw poundage) of the 9 of us. The only person who lifted heavier than me was a highland games athlete who said he had planned to do 500/550/600 but bumped his attempts when he saw mine. He did 550, 650, and broke 700 off the ground but didn't get a complete lift. I pointed out that a 300+ kg lift is all you need to book an appointment to lift the actual Dinnie stones, so even though the competition was over at that point, everybody supported him to get his qualifying lift in. We loaded 671 pounds, weighed it out and documented the scale weight, and he pulled it to massive cheering.
Results
When age and bodyweight were taken into account, I had the 4th best total on points. Our international org, IAWA, uses a 1.33 multiplier for women when they combine men's and women's scores, so we did the same to determine the overall winner. That turned out to be me.
Honestly, I believe several of the men there were strong enough to beat me, but they weren't as familiar with the lifts and/or underestimated themselves when it came time to choose attempts. I, meanwhile, had been able to train on very similar equipment (I have Dinnie rings at home) and had a strong sense of what attempts would be strategic and doable for me. What can I say, I came to win!
Record portion
One of the first things the meet organizer showed me when I arrived that morning was a foot press he had just gotten. Sort of like a primitive leg press, but the idea is that you just need to break the weights off the supports (no need to fully lock out your legs). I almost couldn't reach the footplate, but with my heeled lifting shoes on I was able to participate.
The foot press had 350 pounds on it when I first gave it a try. I lifted that, and so did a bunch of other folks. Then four more plates got piled on, and we all did 530. Next up, a bunch of the guys did 580. When it was my turn, I said...well, why not 600? So that was my third. And I finished up with a
4th attempt at 700. Felt that one in my shin bones (ew), but no problem lifting it.
I also did a clean rack Sots press (James Lift is the USAWA name). 75, 80, and set a record and a small PR at 85 pounds.
I had planned to do a snatch, but there were no weightlifting bars in the place, and I forgot how weird it is to have a bar without your usual landmarks and to have so much knurling. I scraped up my legs enough on the Sots press that I scratched the idea of snatching with it.
Somewhere in there I took a first attempt at a normal bench press (IAWA/world lift but not USAWA lift). Did 150 pounds, then got distracted and never bothered to come back for more.
It was kind of chaotic, okay? At some point I stumbled across an axle loaded with 275 pounds. Pulled that for a beltless deadlift, because I didn't have my belt on when I impulsively grabbed it and told a ref to watch me. One attempt one record. Moving on.
Last one was an Apollon's Lift, which is just an axle press anyhow. I have not attempted to clean an axle in years and kind of forgot how. I no-contact power cleaned it and then did a split jerk at 115 pounds. Easy. So I went 135 next, couldn't remember how to clean it, managed to get it up to my shoulders continental style, then shit the bed on the jerk. I'm for sure good for more if I practice this someday. But the record book had a blank space on that, so 115 was good enough.
Aftermath
I'm working toward getting into the Century Club of people with 100 or more records. (We love our records in USAWA. The Century Club has many members, in part because you can keep setting different age group records as you get older.) I'm on track to make it this year.
Next meet is USAWA nationals in Missouri in three weeks, so once I recover I'll jump right back into training. I've actually taken two whole days off from training so far, which is weird for me. Stay tuned for the next meet, which includes a Steinborn squat and a hip lift, among other things.
I'm not always sore after meets, but mannn is my body feeling this one. Everything hurts, including some
bruising on the back of my leg and a
superficial skin tear on top of my thumb from hook gripping so hard. Still have
never torn a callus on my palms or fingers. File those suckers down, kids.
PS. I'm lifting the real things someday. Only 224 pounds to go.
Happy to answer questions about joining us at USAWA meets. They're for everyone (my daughter even lifted at Nationals at 6 years old) and are always a blast.

2023.06.07 14:22 Future-Discussion426 Hormonal cystic pimples
Good morning!
I am a 32 year old female and I have hormonal acne. For the past few months, I have had large cysts on my chin that hurt and are irregular in shape (at ovulation and in the premenstrual week). I also learned that I had endometriosis.
I have other types of pimples that are secondary to the products I use I believe. I have sensitive skin and when I use sunscreen for several days in a row, I get pimples. I would like to try another cream with mineral filters or without alcohol to see. I also question my moisturizer which for some time has been making my face red and stingy, and I wonder if it would give me pimples too. I would possibly like to try the Vanicream cleanser as well to see if my current cleanser is too drying/aggressive. I tried for 1 month the CERAVE cleanser with benzoyl peroxide, but I really didn't like the texture and I didn't feel like it helped either... Currently, my routine:
AM:
- Water
- Ultra-fluid La Roche Posay
PM:
- Bioderma sensibio H20 micellar water
- Bioderma sensibio foaming gel
- Avène Tolerance restorative soothing cream
I also take 100mg/day of minocycline. I already did a cycle of antibiotics last year, I know my pimples will come back after, but let's say I needed a break for my mental health. I'm on my 2nd week and all my pimples were gone. This morning, right in the middle of ovulation, I woke up with a big cystic pimple.
For 1 month, I no longer take dairy products and I don't feel like it's helping.
Do you have any suggestions to help me control these cystic pimples? I am limited since I am planning pregnancy.
Thank you so much!!

2023.06.07 14:22 wussgud Update after applying PTM7950 to Aero 16 OLED, incredible.
I posted recently about how I had no success with Liquid Metal on my laptop, even after application, temps stayed the same or perhaps gotten worse, so I removed the Liquid Metal and applied Corsair XTM50 thermal paste and replaced my thermal pads with cheap 6.0w/mk 1.0mm ones from Amazon, my temps were still terrible, 92c on the cpu and 86c on the Gpu while gaming, so I went ahead and ordered some PTM7950 and 0.5mm thermal pads (13.8w/mk), everything got here today morning and I got to work, I replaced the cheap thermal pads with the thinner 0.5mm ones as to make I can make proper contact with my heatsink as PTM is very thin, way thinner than thermal paste, after replacing the thermal pads on my heatsink and VRMs, I got to work with the PTM7950, put it in fridge for 10 mins as per the advice of this sub, cut the exact measurements for the cpu and Gpu and applied, this was tough as the material is very delicate and thin so peeling off the stickers from both sides was tough, I eventually got it to work and it was looking great. I forgot to take pictures, I was too focused, but I’m sure my application was good enough. Reassembled the laptop and got to testing and I saw results immediately, it took ages for the cpu and Gpu to ramp up to max temp, it was in the 60s degrees for quite a while, then I got my results after 30 mins of gaming, 84c on the cpu and 75c on the gpu, comparing that to my thermal paste application, 8c drop from cpu and a huge 11 degree drop on the Gpu, I’m beyond thrilled with this stuff, now what’s left is to see how it holds up over time, best part is it’s non electrically conductive so no worries about potential spillage or shorting, I highly recommend this stuff!

2023.06.07 14:20 lime_head737 My first trip after losing mom
I’m filled with many emotions today as I write this out.
I’m in my 20s, lost my mom to a heart attack last summer. I still remember the phone calls from neighbors and first responders. The walls in my apartment seemed to shoot out in all directions, making me feeling like my 700 sq ft apartment covered an entire football field. I had only been moved away for a year, started my career and life with my future wife.
It had been discussed all through my life that part of my inheritance was to travel. She’d worked in some national parks in her 20s and was always a nature buff.
After a lot of replanning because of weather, I had found two hikes in Pinnacles National Park that were so beautiful. For the first time in a long time, I felt my mom. We were coming up on a pretty good elevation gain, I was dead tired and was anticipating a great view just 50 ft around a turn on the ridge. I stop. I see a mom and her two daughters. She points, mouthing “condors”. These big birds are beautiful to witness flying among the cliffs here. Almost 50 years ago, only 20 some existed in this area. I turned 180°, waving my fiancé to get her attention. Two were cruising along the ridge of a plateau about 200 ft above us. Just then, a condor comes out of nowhere, maybe only 30 ft above me. It was awesome to watch an animal be so close.
I’m not a big believer or non believer in signs after someone’s gone. I haven’t felt any signs since she’s been gone, but today it felt different. I also do get a chuckle out of this if it is a sign because the last song I listened to with my mom was Free bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
If that was my mom, I know for sure she is as happy as she always wanted to be. Good seeing you today mom. Hope to see you on the next trail.

2023.06.07 14:20 3FS_Reddit What a morning
2023.06.07 14:19 Entire_Mushroom3166 What can I do?
I've been with my bf for 9 years now. I'm a 33f he is 36m. I know he is addicted to porn and he somewhat admits it too. We went from having sex numerous times a week down to once or maybe twice a week. He's in the bathroom every morning for 20-30 minutes and I know he's looking at and downloading porn on his phone. Last week he left his phone at home before work, called me to bring it to him, and I looked at his activity and saw freshly downloaded porn from that morning.
Lately I've been telling him I'm sexually frustrated. I have a lot of sexual energy that's just being wasted. He works outside all day and he works hard so I understand that he's tired at night but why not have sex with me in the morning? Even when we do have sex he barely pays attention to me and I almost never get off, but he will ask me for a BJ and he always gets off.
I've even watched it with him on numerous occasions but I didn't want that to be the only time we had good sex where he needed to look at other women. I'm on the verge of either leaving him or looking for a side piece, and cheating absolutely disgusts me, so, I'm down to option 1. I don't want to do that. I don't know what to do or say to him. He is also a drug addict (not actively using, clean 9 months) and when he did use, his porn viewing would be x500. Like he would have a conversation with someone and be looking at women on his phone.
He did admit last week that he probably has an addiction to it but that's as far as the conversation went.

- Do you think they'll release DGP version of KR Revi and KR Vice SO-DO figures? It'll be extremely fun to have that cause RCF already feature their helmets
- Provided ID core doesn't crack, what is the colour of the eyepiece of DGP rider when using Jyamato Buckle? Yellow & Black or Yellow & Green?
- RCF Geats IX shows that you can go fun with swapping helmets part. Me will go for Tycoon IX (he's my boi), but you can actually make Revi IX and Vice IX using this method.
Does this means that, if going very creative, Revi and Vice are the 1st and only rider that have 2 different variations of final forms depending of drivers?
- Ultimate Revi & Ultimate Vice when using revice driver
- Revi IX & Vice IX when using desire driver

2023.06.07 14:19 Dohi014 Something was Hunted
I love this sub and noticed it doesn’t have a lot of traction. Bummer. So, I thought I’d add to it, instead of just lurking. I’ve only ever recounted this story a couple times because people don’t believe me. They look at me a little funny and sometimes change the subject.
I lived on a big “family” farm. Before a dispute amongst distant cousins, I could ride my bike to the furthest point (with a road), and still encounter family. One end was my house, the other was my great grandmother’s house, and between us was one big incline that lead up, and up, and to the rest of the hundreds of acres. That was to the left. On the right side was a field with a dried creek, trees growing, and dying along where they once had water. This was the bottom of the property, split by a small dirt road, sandwiched by a main road. In the fall I could see the main road past the field and through the trees.
This was late spring, early summer. I went past my grandma’s house to enjoy a cool ride in the over shaded path. The over grown field, sometimes full of flowers on my right, made it all the better. As soon as I left the hot sun, and the canopy blanketed me, the temperature changed drastically. I was expecting cool and shady, not bitter, and to see my breath. I had this horrible weight to my guts and I was overwhelmed with fear. My fight or flight was screaming at me to get away from there and to not look right.
My fear was overwhelming and I couldn’t help but turn my head as I realized I could hear the dry grass crunching along with my crunching of gravel. The tall grass was bending in a way that was indicative to someone running through it. The grass was between four and five feet high; the possibilities are endless for what it could be. As I swung my head back to make sure I wasn’t going to crash as I increased speed, I realized there was a second “trail” in the grass. I nearly stomped on my breaks to observe, still panicking, I wondered if maybe I wasn’t the prey in mind. As I came to a halt (I slid a bit in the gravel), an animal screamed, and I noticed the muzzle of a deer (or what looked like it in a glance) break the top of the grass. As a clear scuffle broke out, the grass moving appropriately, I sped off again, not wanting whatever predator to choose me for dessert. I hid at my great grandma’s in one of her outbuildings. Someone had to get me because I was so scared. They didn’t understand and just gave me a hard time for taking their time. It took four years to ride my bike back through there and I only did it the once more out of necessity.
The overwhelming fear and dread I felt was gone as soon as I was past there, out of the canopy, and in the next clearing in the sun. I couldn’t hear any of the noises when I got past even though I was only maybe another 100 yds down. It’s hard for me not think it’s supernatural in some way because less than 300 ft away from where the prey was taken, is a cemetery for children. A very small plot; in fact only four are buried there. I’ve also always been told my whole life that the animals I could’ve possibly seen are more seen after dusk. To see them just after 1 pm is fairly odd.
I don’t have any reason to return but, I still shudder and shake at the idea of being alone on that small stretch of dirt road again. The dread I felt that day was suffocating.

2023.06.07 14:18 pipboy_warrior Best anime about anime?
Stealing a topic I saw in the movies sub, what are some of the best anime that are about anime itself that you've seen? Could be specifically about the industry, or anime fandom, or loving parodies? For some of my favorites
Martian Successor Nadesico: An awesome science fiction mecha series, where many of the pilots are themselves mecha anime fans. It's partially a parody making winks to the fourth wall, but also still a good sci fi show in it's own right.
Magical Destroyers: Currently on this season, where the brave Otaku Hero and his squad of magical girls must combat evil forces seeking to destroy all that the otaku fandom holds dear! The show has a very Gainax feel, and looks a lot into the wider anime culture.
Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!: This should be a must watch for anyone who loves animation in general. It starts with a girl named Midori having the profound realization that someone made the anime that she loves, and that anyone could do the same. Later on she and two of her friends form a club committed to making anime, and you get to see the process. And this show makes the process so fun! You have Midori who's great at detailed backgrounds and concepts, Tsubame who loves animating movements, and Sayaka who's all about money and business.
I love how this show looks. I love how the first time Midori moves to her new neighborhood, all she wants to do is explore all of the nooks and crannies. I love how Sayaka is an integral part of the group and is the only one keeping Midori and Tsubame on track. I love how Tsubame's animation is inspired by her fascination with how things move in real life.

2023.06.07 14:15 CommercialOil906 Thinking of calling it quits with a friend
I'm friends and classmates in college with Jan. We met during 1st year but only became close friends by 3rd year. Although he's fun to hang out with, he's a dogshit groupmate.
To give you an overview of why he's so dogshit:
- He crams. so. much. I'm a crammer too but he's literally different level. He'd only work on the day of the due date of ANYTHING.
- For our research paper, he was assigned to digitalize a simple organization chart. The information and layout were ready; all he had to do was make a digital copy. It took him three weeks. And I had to remind every week.
- I was groupmates with him for another class. It was a busy week so my group and I had to do it overnight. He was only assigned to do the introduction and conclusion. But he didn't. I did. He said he was "planning to do it in the morning" at around 10am. The deadline was at 11am.
- We had a simple essay paper due at 11pm. He started working at 8pm. When I ran his work through the plagiarism checker, ALL of it was plagiarized. I had to do it all again.
- We had two deadlines super close to each other, so we decided to split up the work: I'll do Paper A while he does Paper B. I busted my ass for Paper A; formulations, validations, and the majority of the writeup was my work. He did like 2 or 3 paragraphs (he did this 2 hours before the deadline) and reformatted the information given into another table (pretty much just copy pasted it). I would've been okay with it because I thought he was doing Paper B. Nah, he started doing Paper B on the due day. It was also super crammed.
- He was chosen as the leader for our research group by random. Everything we did was crammed. The information we needed was always given 2 days before the deadline. And the output we were able to make was all wrong. He fed us the wrong information to go with.
Let me clarify that I made the effort to talk to him about his performance every time. And his replies are always "i know you're mad and you don't want to talk to me, but i admit that i did wrong. i'll do better now even if you don't want to believe it. im still open to talking if you want to"
At this point, all my patience is gone. Whatever reason he has, whatever is going on with his life—I don't think I can bring myself to care anymore. This has been happening the whole year, and according to my batchmates, he was like this at the very start
.As a friend, he's also a little ehhhh. There's a lot of instances where he distances himself from me. His boyfriend told me it was trust issues, so he willingly distances himself from other people. That part kinda broke me; I put effort in this friendship, but it turns out to be one-sided?
Sorry for the long post. It felt good to let it all out. If you have any opinions or advice, go ahead.

2023.06.07 14:13 Beautiful-Path8943 After realising distribution is king. Building can only go so far
Welp! For some time, I've been diving deep into how I can streamline and optimize my lead gen processes, and the things I've discovered have been mind-blowing.
Recently came across a term called "EmotionAI". Wondered if anyone here has jumped on this and started implementing for lead gen? According to Exploding Trends, searches for "emotion AI" have increased by 525% over the past five years. Simply put, the tech turns human emotions into data that can be used to provide more personalized experiences. And we all know that more personalized outreach means more conversions.
As the AI market continues to grow, this will become increasingly mainstream. So, I thought why not share my learnings and real-life examples of how to use some these AI couple with good ol’ chatGPT to generate leads!
Anyway I'll be posting the full breakdown this Saturday morning
right here. So, feel free to join me and get your Saturday cuppa ready! See you there.
