Sam was set to go full throttle into his ass and Howard just glossed it over and kept switching gears. Wtf does Chris have on Howard that he won't let hate for him spill over from the back office to the air?

2023.04.01 22:17 Writteninsanity SIX ORBITS - Chapter 19 - The View Up Here

Jie had set Victoria and I up in adjoined rooms nice enough that I would have only bought them myself if I'd just finished the job of a lifetime. The main centrepiece of my room was a brilliant blue fish tank decorated with plants and colourful fish that my PA told me were from Africa on Earth.
They certainly knew how to flaunt their wealth on Station 26.
The window on the far wall of the room didn't look out over the main promenade of the Pent, nor did it look out into space; both of those would have been too convenient. Instead, it had a view of the 'Jewel of Station 26,' the rare mineral casino that had stood here through several regime changes and funded each of them.
Mining lithium on Station 26 was a fantastic way to make a fortune, which meant that the Station needed a reckless amount of ways to lose it.
On the ground below us, a series of cars and bikes constantly pulled into the Casino for what I imagined was the 'Evening' rush. Stations didn't sleep, and Station 26 certainly wasn't an exception to that rule, but evening and nightlife were still marketing terms.
Moving into the evening meant that I was expecting a knock soon; that would have been completely Jie's speed. Either that or it would be Tash banging on the door and telling me that we needed to go get drinks which was completely her speed, just in a different way.
It had been quiet in my room for a while. Victoria hadn't been able to sleep on the ship while worrying about the battery, so she'd gone to bed while I'd started pacing the second we arrived.
At least we were past the worst version of landing on Station 26; someone new being in power and considering me a friend of the old order.
Of course, it wasn't clear whether our current situation was better.
I ran my thumb over the edge of the unmarked credit chips in my pocket. I should have tried to offer the kid more, get him to fix the ship and get us off the Station before-
Before what? Before Tas- Natasha finished her elevator ride? She was on the way down before we'd stepped off the ship. Unless we'd come here in Victoria's ship, I would get clocked the second I landed with Gunboat Diplomat.
It may be time to get a new ship after all. I could afford it instead of a vacation with the payout from Victoria, or I'd have to repair the ship so many times that I couldn't afford anything other than replacement engines.
I gave up on brooding out the window and grabbed a chair and a datapad I'd brought from the ship to avoid using anything station-provided. I didn't need anyone having easy access to my search history or what I was scanning around the ship.
For now, I mostly just didn't need people knowing that I was looking up Fotuans, or at least trying to; Pasoné, as far as most of the web was concerned, had no relation to the Fotuan Meritocracy. I barely got a trillion results when I searched the name and most of the results related to a Daggeral celebrity from three centuries ago.
That tracked.
I placed the datapad down in my lap and sighed. Compared to other Empires, the Fotuan Meritocracy kept things under lock and key. Even if she was the only person in the entire Galaxy with that name, there might have been nothing about her on the web at all.
Fuck. Was I really going up against the Meritocracy? Dad would be proud.
"Anything yet?" Victoria asked as she opened the door from her room to mine. Combined, our pair of lavish rooms were almost offensive. She'd wrapped herself in a hotel-provided robe that was clearly cut for around six feet as opposed to nearly seven; the emerald colour was stark against her silver-white skin.
"Nobody's come for us yet, no."
"But they're going to?"
"Mhm."
Victoria sat down beside me and pushed her hair over to the shaved side, smoothing it once before crossing her legs on the seat. "I was thinking," she started leaving space for a sarcastic remark.
I declined.
"We should come up with a strategy for how to handle everything-"
"You were fine on the docks."
"Oh."
"Everyone here is going to expect that attitude from you so-"
"Everyone everywhere expects it," she corrected, "it's accurate."
"Mostly."
"Mostly?"
"You've chilled," I offered her a pointed look to communicate that the Victoria I'd met at the bar wasn't about to walk out to 'have a chat.'
"Pardon that."
"I wasn't complaining."
"It's unbecoming."
"It's better for our relationship," I added. There was a lot I was leaving out there, but it wasn't the best idea to spend time trying to spell out 'I actually enjoy your company when you're not being a prick' or 'it helps to not be babysitting a brat.'
We both knew. Firefights were great for keeping people attached.
"One thing about it. Downstairs that is."
"Yeah?"
"Just call me Kingston, don't call me by my last name."
"I thought that was a human thing."
"It is, but it's not an Ovishir one."
"But-"
"People he- The people who know me here are going to think it's weird if you call me by my last name," I explained, "it implies that we're really close. It's better if we keep everyone thinking that we're just arm's length from one another. Or at least try."
"Try?"
"They know me pretty well. I'll try, but people like Tash will be good at reading me. For example, she probably knows that I really don't want to be here."
"You know them that well?"
"Yeah."
"But you're not going to explain it?" she asked.
Down in front of the Casino, a massive, lumbering mining machine that had been repurposed with gold thundered up to the front walkway before opening to dispense a collection of passengers too far for me to clock.
"No. It's not my favourite topic."
"You have a lot of not favourite topics."
"You don't seem that keen to talk about your situation," I pointed out.
Victoria chuckled, "that's fair."
"I did a lot of work here with a lot of powerful people," I explained, "they're big fans, but I'm not that proud of it."
"Are you proud of a lot of your work?"
"Not much," I sighed, "I do the right thing sometimes but-"
"Sometimes you blow up a Mythellion Research station?"
"Yinde deserved that."
"Are you proud of it?"
"I'm neutral," I lied, "feel bad that I disappointed Musc."
Victoria wrinkled her nose and shifted in her chair. "I thought you were going to use the excuse that they were Yinde's bombs."
"Nah," was all I offered. Victoria had been forced to pull the trigger twice in her life, from what I understood, so I didn't want to explain the calculus of blame to her like my Mom had to for me. Sometimes it was you or them, and that was okay, but if you kept trying to shift the responsibility for the people you killed to the actions of others, you'd be able to explain away anything.
That responsibility, according to her, was the difference between people who shot first and people who shot when they didn't need to.
"I killed him. He would have killed us. I was better at it," I continued after a second longer, staring out the window at the crew still unloading parts from the mining vessel. "Tale old as time."
"Hm," was all that Victoria had to offer in response for the moment. If I let it linger too long, she would get trapped thinking about what she'd done on Mythellion.
"What about you?"
"What?"
"Proud of what you do?"' I asked.
Victoria offered me a quizzical look and then turned her attention back out the window. "I-" she bit her lip, "what I do- did, for the Meritocracy wa- is…"
She trailed off, but I understood the last part, 'well, I'm not doing it, so take a guess.'
"You're young," I cut in to give her an out, "you'll figure it out."
"Yeah," Victoria agreed in a way that meant 'hopefully.'
Someone pounded on the door.
I waved Victoria back to her side of the room, and she shut the door behind her before I opened mine.
Tash was at the door, still in a flight suit but missing the apron and grime that came with her work clothes. She still looked like she was one of the dock managers, just an off-duty one.
"Hey you," she greeted while trying to get a look around me to see if anyone else was in the room.
"Vic's in hers."
"Mind if I come in then?"
"Am I allowed to say no?"
There was a pause long enough that one of us should have cut in to break it.
"I'm not here for Jie," she finally said.
"Come on in."
Tash pushed past me before I was fully out of the way, ignoring the lavish decor to focus on the Nurse, which I'd left lying in the corner. She regarded it for a moment but never moved to grab it. "It's been a while since you invited me in."
"What's up?" I asked, closing the door behind us and dodging her attempts to bring up the past as soon as she was inside. Tash continued to stare at the Nurse instead of revealing whether that bothered her.
"Can't I just be coming in to check on a friend?"
"You can," I nodded, "but you aren't."
Tash clicked her tongue.
"What's up?"
"Just serendipity for me that you're here. Need someone for something, and I don't think I'd want anyone else on this station doing it."
"Nobody on the station?"
"You shouldn't trust people from Songlai," she pointed out, using the old nickname instead of anything formal.
"That includes you."
Tash sighed. "I'm aware."
"But?"
"But you and I have history."
We did. I wasn't sure if that helped her case.
"You think I enjoy asking you for help the second I get here?"
"No."
"Then why do you think I'm asking?"
"Because you know I'm good," I suggested.
"Desperate," she corrected, "I don't have many places to go."
"Burned a lot of bridges?" I asked. I knew the answer was yes, but it wasn't like Tash to admit that she was a serial arsonist.
"Working for Jie doesn't get you many fans these days."
"You work for Jie?"
"Everyone on Station works for Jie. Some of us just admit it," she finally turned away from the Nurse to turn back at me. Her eyes had a pleading sparkle, but I'd seen that weaponized before, "everyone else just pretends that their boss doesn't funnel money to Jie, or isn't part of some bullshit network that isn't technically working for her."
"Can't choose who your boss pays."
Tash glared at me but didn't argue against my point.
"What do you need?"
"You have to promise you'll do it if I tell you, can't have it getting out."
"Fuck that."
"Kingston…"
"No, you don't have that privilege."
"Kingson we're-"
"Natasha, you're a client," I cut her off and corrected her simultaneously, "and I have work right now, so I'm not about to drop everything for this."
Natasha looked away toward the window and sighed, running one hand through her hair. There were so many more scars than last time I'd seen her.
I went to open the door for her.
"You're right," she answered instead of moving, "you're right. Look, is there anything you need with the ship? What put that hole in it?"
"I can pay for repairs."
"What put the hole in it?"
There I was again, pressed up against the wall of giving information away that I didn't necessarily want to. That said, the good thing about Station 26 being an unregulated hell hole was its access to systems that might punch through their shields next time. After all, the radar cloaking that allowed us barely escape around Mythellion was from here. "Valikyria"
"What?"
"Fotuan Valikyria. That's what shot the ship."
Tash glanced over at the door to Victoria's room. "What the fuck does she have you doing that you're scrapping with Fotty tech?"
"I'm not discussing that."
"Valikyrias are serious shit."
"So I learned."
"Are you in over your head?"
That was a good question, but I was confident the answer was almost assuredly yes, "No."
She frowned, then nodded, "You get any hits in?"
"If I did, it didn't matter."
"Need firepower?"
"Can you offer something worth what you're asking?"
Natasha walked over to the window but didn't take the seat that I'd been using with Victoria. Instead, she stared out over the Casino. "We have some de-fib rounds on station right now. I can call people on some debts and get them to you."
"That's one hell of a favour."
"I did try to get you to agree without hearing what it was. Those should be enough, though, yeah?"
"I reserve the right to refuse."
"Dick."
"That's not being a dick," I corrected, "that's just not being as dumb as I used to be."
"I liked the old version."
"You would." I watched her reflection sneer at my comment. "Do you want to tell me or not?"
"Fine," she began, "but we have to do it tonight."

2023.04.01 22:17 Defyingtoitle How I get through it, and how you can too.

Hi. I don't speak much in person but I'm going to try to speak my mind here. BPD people have left me fragmented my entire life, my mom is undiagnosed and as a result, I went through my early childhood living directly through this kind of pain. I got into relationships and close friendships with many BPD people, and because I'm decently attractive and successful I've been a large target for them. I've had people spend more time trying to leverage my life than I've had actually living my life, so let me give you all the tips and tricks I use to skirt through life. I studied this in college to survive, so some descriptions will be more advanced and some will be simpler. Where I could've been incredibly successful as an individual, I have had to abandon my dreams at every turn to not only live but survive. I'm trying to use what I've learned to change the environment you guys live in. I'm tired. Here's what I know. Happy to help fix communication errors - I have to kinda turn off emotions to be able to talk about this stuff so expressions might not be emphasized in full. The great part about dealing with so many BPD people, I've learned to be able to flick the mental switch that turns off emotions as they can. I just have the moral conscious to use it for good instead of personal desires!
It boils down to them being insecure person. You may think this is obvious, but the understanding of insecurity they have is one that you or I may not immediately understand. Take a second to google Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs - at some point in the person with BPD's life their Physiological needs were not guaranteed - this creates the stress response they keep for the rest of their life.As the stress response from this is so large and we have such a shoddy understanding of mental health - You will not be dealing with rational behavior EVER. The parts that are "mature" in your eyes have been created that way as a direct result of your childhood insecurities. You are dating the reflection of your home environment, and it is being leveraged by someone who is a reflection of their home environment, not the person standing in front of you today, yesterday, or tomorrow. Your rose-colored glasses are in areas you don't have a full understanding of - and because someone else may have more understanding or a worse "reality" you've grown to trust them (trauma bonding, sometimes done on accident, sometimes on purpose.) - regardless of what you eventually learn to be healthy. These people usually specialize in one very specific niche and dare to stray from it, creating their own demand. You'll notice that people are grasping at straws to be "unique" - for each person creating success, you have another 19 chasing them, copying their personality in hopes the 'archetype' works for them as well. Sometimes the number trying to copy doesn't stop. It scales based on how desperate people are for success, and how successful they think the person they're copying is. Remember that their thoughts have been proven to not be based on reality.
Many people like to think down on people with BPD, and the truth is that they are probably smarter than you or I. They just have so much extra brain space being utilized to help them 'escape' from either real or false fears, that they can't spend this space on progressing themselves or society. Until they outgrow the fear from this environment - it will be expressed ON YOU, the one choosing to interact with them. You may be able to have dates, vacations, and long-standing plans, but when this person gets re-stressed by their childhood insecurities you are GONE. You are no longer the reality they are living in, the sources of stress from their childhood are the reality they ultimately will end up reliving until their problems are fixed. This shows us they have been trying to escape Reality by living disconnected since their childhood. When the reality around them tries to embrace the personality they've made in a disconnected headspace, they can either double down that they have no problems or finally embrace their problems. With time, generations of families, changes in the environment, and personal factors, the problems become weighted and skewed with time to the point they aren't reflected honestly when voiced today. A problem 40 years ago may be expressed through a few unemotional words, if any words at that. I know people who have come to me silent who I've worked with to get them to talk, and they have lived some of the most traumatic shit I've ever heard in my life. They don't know how to bring it up in today's society, which is another post for another time on my end. I'm working on that in the background to give them a place to be heard, yet for YOU, HERE, TODAY:
What does that leave us with? A new resource - one that they can't value for their life. Time.Someone with BPD has to stay constant, and actively engaged, or else their natural fear complex sets in. The level of fear they live in daily EXCEEDS the amount a brain can healthily adapt to daily. Sleeping no longer resets their tolerance - rather degrades their long-standing habits until the stress overwhelms even these foundational ideas. As a result - their attention span is greatly decreased. Where you and I can relax, spend time to ourselves and chill, their attention span is almost negative if anything. They need constant visual input to stimulate their mind - and platforms like TikTok are normalizing this speed of consumption. If you think of TikTok as the end result of mental health problems rather than the source - you can truly see how widespread attention problems are in society. Mental health is being monetized before its being solved, which will evidently lead to it never being solved. Not only how they've been normalized, but how it's starting to affect the lives of others based on one's perspectives and expectations.

I'm tired of fixing their problems for them, it's time for a true understanding that you can step out of their control and spend your time where it's important - yourself. Stop half-assing a relationship that won't be real in a few years, full-ass your relationship with yourself and you'll find better people with time. If each person reading this spent a year loving themselves instead of those around them - you would learn you don't have to tolerate those kinds of people. A year gives you time to not only reflect on your past but work out any bad habits and attempt to unlearn them/relearn good ones. Habits take a few weeks, so even if you have an ungodly list of 20 bad ones, enjoy your year working for yourself instead of someone faking a future with you. Build the future you want, and stop relying on others. They are utilizing your dependency on attention to avoid problems as a crutch - keep your time spent on yourself. They want you to fall into the same trap they have, and will drag you there as a result. They know what you will go through, and having the experience already will know exactly how to leverage you during that time.

You ever wonder why their conversations jump from the past to the future, to the present, all in a circle to get you confused? Their brain doesn't let them sit on the stress of being the problem in the here and now. So they resort to different frames of time in order to rationalize it to themselves. The stress is so overwhelming they don't care if it doesn't make sense to you - they are purely trying to escape it with no regard for others. These people do not need relationships. They need mental health reform. It is not smart to get into relationships knowing there are these bombs waiting out there - with barely even half being able to understand their own problems. Why are we being forced to solve the problems of those who don't have consequences?
In the meantime - try to understand that added political disorganization in the USA is driving the normalization of these people. Soon we are going to lose the generation able to reflect on their challenges and rather have to embrace the lack of reality those with BPD are trying to embrace. You and I can't live at that pace, being on this forum indicate that, so we need to come together to work against this problem. Many people with BPD will weaponize the shitty mental health climate in America - weaponizing false promises or inaction in taking care of themselves. They can tell themselves subconsciously they are the problem, but as the socio-political climate of the nation endorses consistent, rapid interactions, it is easy for these people to escape into new pockets socially. They are consciously choosing to spend their time ignoring their problems at any cost - sometimes even losing their own touch with reality.
To fix this and no longer be influenced we would need to:
Reform the mental health culture - with the current understanding of mental health, these people are scared of embracing their problems for fear that they truly finally lose themselves in the process. They grasp at strings hoping to make it day to day, so taking faith in a system with notoriously bad experiences will only accelerate the problems from their perspective. They know that giving in to the current half-assed mental health industry (that may or may not beprofit-driven) may certainly end their life faster than they could themselves. BPD is the attempt of control a life that would otherwise be lost to the environmental and socio-political pressures around them.
Stop having a god complex around relationships. Our brain's understanding of emotions really excels around 25 years old, up to that point you are still growing and past that point, it is maintenance mode instead of growth. While you're meant to be growing uninfluenced, you've been spoon-fed the idea of a family sometimes even before you are fully emotionally mature. You are then going out and finding other emotionally immature people who then further complicate your own problems. well before you can even wrap your head around the complex emotions ongoing, you now have to deal with someone else's childhood insecurities haunting your thoughts the rest of your life. If you are younger than 25 - work on understanding yourself and your emotions. If you are older than 25 - work on not only understanding this but also how its going to interact with others. Base your actions on your body, instead of the fucked up expectations others have around us. Trust yourself for once, its a nice feeling :)
Remember, the BPD person wants you to feel isolated and alone. You are not alone. Someone is always out there, working for you, looking after you. We are almost done with dealing with these people, tough it out a little longer as you've done for years and you'll see the fruits of your labors soon. Where everyone else is focusing on their own lives, jobs, health, and money, you should know that you have someone fighting alongside you the entire time.

LET'S JUST SAAAAYYYY....
Your SM has opened a dialogue with you on numerous occasions regarding another barista at your store cyber stalking them. On the most recent occasion, revealing to you that the barista showed up to the SM's house unannounced at one point. Let's just SAAAAYYYY your SM has shared many troubling details about this person's behavior toward them, though you never once asked or initiated a dialogue about this person. Let's say that as your SM is laying this on you (when you're just tryna inhale a petite vanilla bean scone before your 10 is over) that the person they are talking about then arrives for their shift...
LET'S SAY that immediately upon their arrival, the SM stops talking and turns their focus to their computer. Let's say that simultaneously, this person attempts to initiate a discussion about the SM's DATING LIFE and how SM needs to find a STRAIGHT partner, repeatedly insisting the person the SM is talking to in their personal life is GAY and how UNACCEPTABLE that is..............
................
WWYD if you witnessed your badass SM shrivel up into a frightened mouse in the presence of a 17 year old barista, as they are staring into your soul with "help me" eyes .......
I could go on, but..
Just hypothetically. WWYD?

2023.04.01 22:15 untitled-reditor How I would buff/rework Dehya .

First off , I wanna start saying that Dehya situation is just truly unacceptable by Hoyo part and the lucklaster reaction of the community is also disappointing .
Idk what other social media apps think about Dehya as I only engage with the community on Reddit and YouTube. But my God the amount of people I have seen saying that Dehya is "is actually good you just don't know how to play her " shit was dumbfounding. Videos showcasing of Dehya as an OP unit are straight up misleading ! Some saying we are doomposting like Kokomi or Yoyimia . The fact they are comparing this shit to the like of Kokomi is truly baffling . Newer units like Furzana and Candance ,heck even Mika got more shit than Dehya and they better units than her .
Now getting this off my chest , about how to fix Dehya . Starting with her main problems I find about her , questioning why Hoyo made this decisions to her kit and lastly trying to make her better .
  1. Dehya has a very... how I say it ? Not very defying kit or rather misdirection in her kit . Is she for burgeon or reverse melt teams ? She has poor Pyro application and her redirecting mechanic doesn't benefit her at all . It's just disfunctionul.
Really what they should have done is make her kit like Cyno and Nilous be made in mind for certain dendro reaction with her being on burgeon and burning , this would have made more sense to be honest.
  1. Her stats and scaling are lower than some 4 stars 💀💀 . Girl can't even outdamage Thoma . Add on top that, her energy issues like OMG . Really who thought all of thus was fine for a 5 star even for a standard.
  2. This might be nitpicking, BUT . Her kit is just very confusing to read and understand, especially her elemental skill and A1 passive . There is so many names and what does what that's hard to keep to be honest . It's not like Ayato that has just an obscure amount of confusing names in his kit description .
Now that we addressed the main problems of Dehya , let's see what direction what direction we are going to take to buff/rework her .
• I am going to have her C1 built on her and scale purely on HP , because I am tired of this split scaling bullshit .
• To push her more in burgeon/burning teams , her A1 passive will be replaced by a new one that is going to increase her EM when ever a party member takes damage inside the Fiery Sanctum .
• Simplify/rearrange/rework parts of her kit to be better to understand and work between each other .
• Lastly fix some other issues within her kit .
Before we dive in to her rework, there is certain questions why Dehya can't work with some units like Yelan and Xinque . There is a reason to that.
The next region we are going to visit is Fontaine the country of Hydro and the place we're we are going to meet the Hydro Archon . Surly during 4.0-4.8 we ate going to get many new Hydro applicators that can work with Dehya , especially the Hydro Archon . But there is a problem that Yelan and Xinque exist .
This two are undoubtedly broken and just work with almost every character , releasing newer ones that work with them is only going to increase their power . This could devalue future Hydro units even the Archon which would be a bad business decision for Hoyo . So I am going to keep this anti-synergy even if it hurts her or not .
Now into the rework . All of her stats and scalings is going to be on level 90 and talent skill level 9 . At the end of every change I will also give some reasons and benefits of those changes .
Changes in stats : Base Hp from 15.674 to 18.134 (20% increase from C1 being built in)
Reasons:
To help her take more damage from her redirection ability and because now she will scale of pure HP.
Changes in Elemental skill : Molten Inferno:
This art of Dehya's own invention changes its method of use depending on the combat situation.
Indomitable Flame
This skill will be unleashed should there be no Fiery Sanctum field created by Dehya herself present at the time. Deals AoE Pyro DMG, and creates a field known as Fiery Sanctum.
Fiery Sanctum
When an opponent within a Fiery Sanctum field takes DMG, the field will unleash a coordinated attack, dealing AoE Pyro DMG to them based on Dehya's Max HP. This effect can be triggered once every 2.0s.
Active characters within this field have their resistance to interruption increased, and when such characters take DMG, a portion of that damage will be mitigated and flow into Redmane's Blood. Dehya will then take this DMG over 10s. When Dehya reaches 10% HP this effect will be disabled until a new Fiery Sanctum is created or Dehya reaches 60% HP .
Ranging Flame
This skill will be unleashed should a Fiery Sanctum field created by Dehya herself already exist. Dehya will perform a leaping attack, dealing AoE Pyro DMG before recreating a Fiery Sanctum field at her new position. A Fiery Sanctum field created this way will increase the remaining duration by 5s and decrease the coordinated pyro attack from 2.0s to 1.5s .
Ranging Flame can be used only once throughout a single Fiery Sanctum field's duration.
Only 1 Fiery Sanctum created by Dehya herself can exist at the same time.
Scalings :
Indomitable Flame damage : 6.45%HP Ranging Flame damage : 8.65%HP off-Field damage : 7.35%HP Duration: 15s CD: 20s
Gameplay Notes : •The interruption resistance of Fiery Sanctum would be similar to shields created by other characters. •Every coordinated attack will produce 1 Pyro elemental particle . •Dehya will only take 40% of the re-directed damage of Redmane's Blood . •Indomitable Flame, Ranging Flame and coordinated attacks have 1 gauge of Pyro and no ICD •Molten Inferno mitigates DMG dealt by Transformative Reactions as well as True DMG. HP Loss (e.g., Hu Tao's Guide to Afterlife, Kuki Shinobu's Sanctifying Ring, Fall Damage, etc.) is not mitigated.
Reasons :
•Now Dehya will not have trouble with split scaling . ○Her Pyro application will be more faster and controllable by the player ,also more of reason to activate Raging Flame . •Due to longer skill duration and faster coordinated attacks not only Dehya is going to proke more reactions, she will also produce more energy . •Lastly she won't die from her skill now 💀
Elemental Burts : Leonine Bite :
Unleashing her burning anger and casting her inconvenient blade aside, Dehya enters the Blazing Lioness state and increases her resistance to interruption.
In this state, Dehya will change "Normal Attack: Sandstorm Assault" and Elemental Skill "Molten Inferno" to now unleashing the Flame-Mane's Fists, dealing Pyro DMG based on her Max HP, and when its duration ends, she will unleash an Incineration Drive, dealing AoE Pyro DMG based on her Max HP.
Roaring Barrage Unleashing Roaring Barrage within 0.4s after each Flame-Mane's Fist strike will increase the speed at which the next Flame-Mane's Fist strike will be triggered.
Attribute Scalings :
Flame-Manes Fists: 10.88% HP Incineration Drive : 20.36% HP Duration : 5s CD : 18s Energy cost : 70
Gamrplay Notes : Flame-Mane's Fists produce 1 gauge of Pyro with every 2.5s/3 hits Incineration Drive produces 2 gauge of Pyro with no ICD
Reasons :
Dehya now will have more control over her Burts duration (so now she will stop missing hits) and she hits harder now .
1st Ascension passive :
When Dehya takes she will gain Gold-Forged stack for 10s that increases her EM by 5 . Maximum 30 stacks .
Reasons :
Now Dehya will be better on Burgeon teams and her redirection mechanic will have some benefits .
2st Ascension passive :
When Dehya drops at 60-20% HP she will her self based on 40% of her HP .(this passive can be activated Avery 10s)
Reasons :
While the healing is less , it will happen more often so it would do it's job better .
Conclusion :
With these fixes now Dehya should be more functional and actually be rewarded for taking damage .
Her teams would be majorly buffed ,except from her Mono Pyro teams as she won't scale of ATK . Her burgeon teams should perform better than Thomas and her Reverse-Melt teams should be more consistent now .
In terms of Vape teams she is still not the best at , but someone could make a Vape/Burgeon team taking advantage of both reactions .
Lastly let's about Constellations as Dehya will fuction differently now she would need new Constellations.
Constellation 1: After Unleashing her Incineration Drive Dehya will create a Fiery Sanctum with its base duration. Of already one exist it would replace it .
•Dehya would gain 10 Gold-Forged stacks •Anyone inside the Fiery Sanctum will gain 80 EM
Constellation 2 : Maximum Gold-Forge stacks increased to 50
Now her Indomitable Flame , Ranging Flame and Flame-Mane's Fist will grant her Gold-Forged stacks upon hitting enemies .
•Maximum 4 stacks gained by Indomitable Flames . •Maximum 4 stacks gained by Ranging Flame. • Maximum 2 stacks gained by Flame-Mane's Fists.
When Unleashing Incineration Drive its damage will be increased by 0.2% Max HP for every Gold-Forged stacks and EM by 10 per stack .
Constellation 4 : Flame-Mane's Fists will now regenerate HP for the entire team by 2.2% of Dehya Max HP per hit and regenerate 1 energy for her per hit .
Constellation 6: •For every 10 Gold-Forged stacks , party members will get their HP boosted by 10% of Dehya HP . •For every 1.000 points of HP of her teammates HP, Dehya will gain 1 point of Em .
Conclusion on Constellations:
Her overall damage will be increased and on later Constellations she will gain some supportive capabilities.
I hope you really liked this buff/rework . I would to hear you thoughts on it and how would YOU buffed Dehya .
Have a nice day or night !!

2023.04.01 22:15 chocolatewool Just 2 or 2A???

I am currently a freshman at MIT who wants to go into mechanical engineering. I know this question has been asked before, but I need more insight with my specific interests. Everyone I have asked has told be to just do 2A since it seems easier, but I am afraid of my potential career aspects taking a blow since it isn't as MechE focused as just straight 2 (which is my primary interest). I need other people's thoughts on my situation, especially from those who had a similar predicament but later figured it out. Anyway, here, I think, are some pros and cons to each.
2:
Pros: much more rigorous foundation in MechE, required thesis, will take more subjects relevant to my interests, actually ABET-accredited in MechE
Cons: must take more tough classes, mental health may take a hit, wayyy less flexible than 2A
2A:
Pros: much more flexible, can pursue other course subjects if I get tired of just 2 (like maybe 12, 8, 20, or 1 idk), will likely have better mental health from what I've heard
Cons: not ABET-accredited in MechE, less solid foundation in pure MechE, may have harder time with FE exam
Also, is it generally easier to switch from course 2 to 2A or vice versa? I was thinking to perhaps start out my sophomore year taking classes for just 2 (like 2.001, 2.002, 2.003, 2.004, 2.086, and 2.007). Then I can figure it out by my junior year.
Following my gut, I feel like I would rather do just course 2, but many people have advised against me doing it. I just have no idea what I should do.

What You Get:

MODULE 1

YOUR PROFITABLE PRODUCT IDEA

Designing a Blockbuster Hit Starts Here
The best products start with the best and most profitable ideas — which don’t happen by chance nor by waiting for lightning to strike.
It takes a proven process to zero in on the idea with the potential to fly off the shelves.
In this module, you’ll discover my Profitable Product Idea. You will:
  • Choose the best product and audience for you to profit from right now
  • Make sure your Idea passes all 7 Criteria of the Profitable Niche Checklist
  • Express your Idea in one simple phrase that attracts your target market in droves
  • Pre-validate there’s demand for your Idea in a way that automatically lines up your future customers
  • Create your Profitable Product Idea Blueprint so you have everything in one place
This process was developed over 7 years and 7,000 students, and can shave months or even years off your journey from idea to profit.
Whether you don’t have any ideas, or you have too many ideas, or you’re not sure whether your idea will work, your Blockbuster Hit Product starts here.
MODULE 2

YOUR IDEA TO MARKET BLUEPRINT

Turning Your Idea Into an Irresistible Offer
In this module, you’ll take your profitable idea and transform it into the kind of thing folks will line up to buy.
We call it your “Offer”, and it’s the scaffolding around your idea that makes it real. Elements such as:
  • Your blockbuster course name, your price point, your guarantee, bonuses and the reasons to buy now
  • The points of credibility that create massive buyer trust — even if you’re just getting started
  • Your uniquely valuable “process” — how you go about getting your students results (a huge selling point)
  • The social proof to start attracting paying customers immediately, even if this is the first time you’re doing this
The right offer can triple or even quadruple your sales, while the wrong offer will turn a great Idea into a ghost town.
By the end of this module, you’ll have the deep confidence that comes from knowing that everything you’re creating is exactly what your audience wants to buy.
Now you’ll be ready for Module 3, where we’ll start building!
MODULE 3

YOUR MVP LAUNCH

Creating Your Minimal Viable Product & Getting to Market Fast
By the end of this module, you’ll create just enough of your new program or course to be able to start making real, actual sales to real actual customers.
So many programs stop short of this critical step, and leave you stranded, wondering how to bridge the gap between theory and practice. That’s a huge mistake, because it’s critical to test the real world response to your offer before you create your whole course or product, while you still have time to make easy changes and pivots.
Some folks hit it out of the park on the first try, while others need to refine and adjust for a few cycles before they land on just the right thing. Either way, this process ensures you never waste months and thousands of dollars creating the wrong thing.
In this Module you’ll:
  • Use the “paint-by-numbers” MVP process to choose the exact pieces of your product and how they fit together
  • Finalize your Launch “Blueprint”, including the exact concrete steps to get to market FAST and start making sales straight away
  • Choose and deploy one of the 3 simple marketing & promotion campaigns to locate and find the people most likely to want to buy from you
  • Copy/paste from our pre-written campaign messaging templates to immediately have people wanting to know more (versus tuning out or scrolling past)
  • Follow the word-for-word sales scripts to confidently sell your MVP and start taking money even before the end of the module!
MODULE 4

SUPERCHARGE YOUR MARKETING

Reach Even More People & Make Even More Sales
Now that you’ve proven your offer by making some sales, our optional Module 4 is where you can take your marketing even further by stacking 2-3 campaigns together to create a supercharged, multiplier effect.
Whether you stack simple campaigns, requiring little-to-no technology, or more robust campaigns — this is how you realize Goal X. A whole lot more. Whatever that looks like to you.
In this Module, get ready to turn a handful of sales into an avalanche:
  • Get our EIGHT pre-written ready-to-go “Experience Marketing” Campaigns that you can just plug right in
  • Recieve my entire vault of pre-written scripts, emails, web page templates, sales & video scripts that you can take and customize or just use “as is” — they’re yours and they’ve generated literally millions of dollars for my other students
  • Create a Custom Campaign Stack that suits your dominant marketing style — whether you prefer to sell through 1:1 conversations, speaking to groups, or writing — so marketable feels easier than it ever has before
  • Recieve my entire vault of pre-written scripts, emails and web page templates that you can take and customize or just use “as is” — they’re yours and they’ve generated literally millions of dollars for my other students
  • Stand out with your marketing in a powerful, unique, fresh and engaging way that gets the attention of your ideal customers, which is 99% of the battle in today’s noisy marketplace, so you can make some real money
After that, we start to really dial up the “WOW” for your students…
MODULE 5

EXPERIENCE ESCALATION

Supercharge Your Results
Now that you’ve proven your product with real sales and you have a plan for reaching even more people and making even more money, this is where we pour fuel on the fire by “experiencifying” your course.
“Experiencification” is the process of stacking the 10 Core Experiences of The Experience Formula™ into every element of your Experience Product, to increase the effectiveness of your product by 10-30 times.
In this Module you’ll:
  • “Experiencify” your program with the 10 Core Experiences of The Experience Formula™ to create an engaging experience that works with (rather than against) the brain to get your customers “hooked” on taking action and getting results
  • Watch as your students spontaneously put down distractions and excuses and become “achievement machines”, focused on taking action, getting results and bringing more customers your way
  • Embed a powerful process for gathering success stories right into your course, so you can quickly have dozens if not hundreds of glowing testimonials (this is how I ended up with 1480 testimonials and counting for EPM!)

2023.04.01 22:14 BobRushy My First Rewatch - 1x21 (Tempest)

I think I'd call this an 'adequate' finale. It didn't blow me away, but all the recurring season 1 storylines hit a peak. By far my biggest takeaway from this season has been the development of Whitney. He's massively matured and really come into his own as a character. I'm very disappointed that they chose to throw him away and not someone like Pete, who really adds nothing much.
*John Glover is hilarious in this episode, from the cheerful "good luck to all of you!" when fires his employees, to the incredibly theatrical "Wha-?! You're not in a hurry to pack?!" as he enters Lex's office. The man's a legend.
*Love the truck explosion. Clark's casual frustration as he walks out of the flaming car - his clothes ablaze - is just fantastic. Very badass.
*One Smallville cliche I dislike rears its ugly head. The plot needs to move along, so suddenly Nixon goes from regular slimy reporter to a maniac willing to risk blowing up a kid to prove a point. I know he's focused on getting rich and might have had the potential all along or something but it always strikes me as kind of odd when Smallville characters suddenly go crazy like that (also see: Jason Teague, Davis Bloome, Lana Lang).
*At one point, Lex gets an email rambling about Alexander the Great and I was so convinced it was Lionel's until the guy mentioned his family. I really wish it had been Lionel's, the idea of him spamming Lex's inbox cracks me up.
*The scene of Lex helping Clark with the tie is nice, but why is he randomly at the Kents' when he should be trying to save his plant?
*Allison has generally been very strong this season, but her exclamation of "Oh, wow!" as Clark gives her the flower thingy for her dress is so wooden lmao. To be fair, it's a really bad line.
*I do quite like how naturally awkward Clark and Chloe are as a couple. There's something very real about those interactions. They're not yet quite sure how to talk to each other.
*Lol at the Remy Zero cameo.
Overall, it was a strong episode of Smallville, but not quite as impressive as future finales. Much like the rest of the season. I'm excited about where we'll go from here.

2023.04.01 22:13 Chop_It_And_Drop_It Bar patron Superman punched car window - advice?

TLDR;
-Bad service by bartender led to dispute over service - then a discrepancy in bill total (bartender first tried to overcharge)
-Conflict with owner resulted in me trying to leave
-Owner and friends tried to stop me from leaving (I did back into them slowly while they struck my car)
-Random dude hears calls for help and breaks window
-There is body damage + window broken. Two different estimates both put the total damage at ~$2000
-Waiting for police records release, but there is a likelihood that the cop never got the owners name nor the camera footage.
Can I go after the owner in civil court?
Long version:
Had a situation happen and am looking for advice going to small claims court - WA state
Went to pub. Ordered shot + beer. Bartender brings drinks and I inquire about pull tabs, bartender says ‘yes’.
I pull out $20 and ask if they’re $1 or .50c or .25c. Bartender doesn’t say anything but reached for money and then withdraws her hand and goes serve other customers.
~20-40 minutes later I had zero communication with bartender despite being seated closest to the register and her asking forefilling drinks for the people on each side of me. Specifically telling a guy she’s leaving so if he wants to tip and cash out do this now.
I remove $20 bill and replace it with a credit card indicating I’m ready to cash out. Several minutes later bartender is on the phone 2 feet away with back towards me giggling in conversation.
I pull back credit card and replace with a $5 bill and proceed to get up and walk out.
Immediately outside the door she appears and demands payment. I ask about what’s up with service, small discussion and we go back inside.
At the register she quotes $10.50. Knowing this is wrong number I ask for a breakdown of each drink. She looks back at screen and spits out another number.
Annoyed at the scam I put down another $1 and leave.
Screaming ensues and bartender + 3 others follow to car. Two men and a woman who identifies herself as the owner (they were drinking right next to me)
After several minutes of not understanding the situation, and me asking how much each drink costs, the owner starts getting accusatory and saying I’m confused.
I state that I’m leaving and get into my vehicle. Screaming owner opens my door. I slam shut and lock it.
She’s hitting my window, others are blocking me in.
I reverse into them, moving them out of the way and they proceed to hit and kick my car.
Upon pulling out of parking space a guy hears them yelling ‘stop him’ and he proceed to lunge and Superman punch a moving car through the window.
I park and call 911. Nobody would give names. I left parking lot to wait at police station to file a report.
3 hours later officer takes my statement, says I can’t go back to scene but she will ask for owners name and for camera footage but states that they’re not legally required to comply.
My question is do I have legal recourse against the owner in small claims court?
Thanks!

2023.04.01 22:12 AustralianChrono Chronologica's Drag Race Season 3: Episode 1- The Summer Ball

Chronologica's Drag Race Season 3: Episode 1- The Summer Ball
Kaneq, hello?
Kaneq, in a red phoenix outfit, looks confused.
It’s getting hot in here, should we get out of here?
“But… the Volcano?” Kaneq asks.
Oh, I'll get the less important ones to fix it.
Ella Mayeaux, Drag Princesita, Slurpiana Cocktail and Queen Quincy, in full drag start to hose down the volcano.
“Fabulous.” Kaneq says.
Chronologica and Kaneq fly off into the air.
“Is it time?” Kaneq asks.
Oh, it’s time…
“Let’s split them up this time.” Kaneq grins. “I have an idea.”
Oh?
“Two balls.” Kaneq smirks.
Two is ALWAYS better than one.
Chronologica winks.
Let’s DO IT!
~

The new werkroom, splattered with pictures of Chronologica, Kaneq and Mary-Lynn Monhoe is showcased with a sickening pink finish.
With the click clack of her cheap heels, La Marias struts out in her little mini dress in black with a wig straight out of a bag, and a smile on her face. “No me subestimen perras, para que no terminen llorando después.”
Marias pouts looks around, pouting. “Dumb bitches didn’t even hear me speak!”
La Marias: “English, now?” Marias rolls her eyes. “Holis, my name is La Marias, and I’m the prettiest girl you’ve ever seen.” Marias flutters her eyelashes. “I am 21 years old, and I am a drag performer from Chihuahua City, MEXICO.”
Marias drops a tiny purse on the table and smiles. “This is my domain, hmm?”
La Marias: “I am not one of those performers who is desperate to give gaudy glamour. Some people need to be the over the top, desperate drag to be beautiful- I do not. I’ve been charmed with natural beauty. I’m here to show myself- just gorgeous, really.” Marias smiles.
“Does this gig come with a cigarette or a cheese platter?” La Marias giggles.
Suddenly, in a gorgeous gingham dress that covers her entire body up to her neck, Southern Belle enters. “They call me Southern Belle.” Belle spins around, a layer of her outfit dropping to reveal a gingham mini dress showing off her body. “But I fuck like I’m from the best little damn whorehouse in Texas!”
Marias smirks.
Southern Belle: “Hello fucking hello!” Belle grins. “My name is Southern Belle, and I’m the sweetest little lady you’ve ever seen.” Belle winks. “I am a 27 year old drag performer from Nashville, Tennessee. I am a Southern Queen. I like big, fabulous drag- straight out of gone with the wind, but make it more grand- and just a little cheeky. Because I’ve got the ass for it, I mean- that’s one perk of having an obsession with cornbread and diabetes!” Belle chuckles. “I’m joking, I’m just PRE-DIABETIC.”
“Hello, gorgeous!” Belle smiles, hugging a slightly awkward La Marias.
La Marias: “Little Bo Peep became una prostituta?”
“My name is Southern Belle. And you are?”
“La Marias.” Marias grins.
“Oooh, THE Maria.” Belle smiles. “My dad usually calls me THE disappointment.”
Marias looks shocked for a moment.
“I kid! He doesn’t know I do drag.”
Marias smiles. “Mine just calls me a maric-”
Suddenly, arriving in a two piece look, with a black pink and yellow crop top, low riding black and yellow track pants and a long pink belt hanging loose, along with a black Beret with long hair, Cleo Mertoris arrives, as she begins to sing. “Cause I’m no ordinary girl..”
“Same!” Belle grins.
Marias nods.
Cleo Mertoris: “Oh, hi.” Cleo flicks back her hair. “I’m Cleo Mertoris, and I’m the Deep Blue beauty you love to look at.” Cleo grins. “I’m your Australian beauty, because God, the last Australian was anything but pretty.” Cleo laughs. “My drag is about my sexiness. I don’t need to wear much, because what I do have is gorgeous. I think of myself as a Siren- I’m here to lure you in with my beauty and voice… then I’ll kill you.”
“Hello, hello!” Belle grins, as Cleo looks around.
“I’m Belle- this is Marias.”
Marias waves.
Cleo Metoris: “I was suddenly taken aback. It’s clear the beauty wasn’t here- that girl looked straight out of the mall. The other one looked like mutton dressed as lamb. Where’s the beauty?”
“How long have you been doing drag?” Cleo looks at Marias, who raises an eyebrow.
“Long enough.” Marias responds.
“Cute.” Cleo laughs.
La Marias: “Oh, I know a girl like that. These girls… they love to judge.”
Cleo Metoris: “It’s drag race, girl. Step it up.”
La Marias: “I can handle them.”
Belle grins. “So, how the fuck are we doing?”
Cleo turns in surprise.
“I have a real potty mouth, sorry.” Belle grins.
“You know, it’s often those without class who speak vulgar.” Cleo laughs.
Belle makes a face for a moment, then it sinks in.
Louise Vuitton sashays into the room wearing a floor-length sequined gown, complete with a fur stole draped over her shoulders. As she struts towards the other queens, she snaps her fingers and quips, "I hope you brought your sunglasses, ladies, because this Queen is serving up some blinding beauty!"
“...Passable.” Cleo says.
Marias flips her hair, already annoyed by Cleo.
Louise Vuitton: “My name is Louise Vuitton, and darling, I’m here to show you a Fashion Queen your dreams.” Louise smiles. “What would I describe my brand as?”
Louise touches her gown with a smile, letting the others soak it in.
Louise Vuitton: “Supermodel.” Louise flicks back her hair and grins. “I’m a new era drag Queen. For me, looking good is at the forefront. Then, moving. Making myself the star is important, and I really am here with a fire in my stomach. I know I can elevate drag, here. So they aren’t ready.”
“So, where are you based?” Cleo asks.
“New York City. Big Apple.” Louise grins.
“Oh, she’s a damn city bitch.” Belle chuckles.
“Best damn city in the world.” Louise nods.
“I spy an accent, though…” Belle responds.
“We don’t talk about Alaska.” Louise quips.
“Oh, you’re a dead fish.” Cleo responds.
Louise looks at Cleo.
Louise Vuitton: “Not a fan of her.”
“Someone just loves to keep talking…” Marias mutters under her breath.
“I’m the rainbow fish.” Loiuse smiles.
The sound of an engine revs somewhere outside the werkroom, and there’s a mechanical chugging.
Cleo looks around, confused. “Does anyone hear that?”
Belle nods. “Damn, Is it getting louder?”
“Duh.” Marias says. “It’s definitely getting–”
Suddenly, riding an inflatable green John Deere tractor, Bessie Big Sky arrives in a red and black chequered jumper, plus a blue jean corset and huge blonde wig. She jumps off the moving tractor…and somersaults forward to strike a pose!
“Here’s Bessie!” she yells in her Mountain twang, grinning wildly. “Welcome to Big Sky Country!”
“Yee Haw!” Belle says.
“Americans.” Cleo rolls her eyes.
Bessie Big Sky: “As the dust settles from my epic entrance, I feel my heart racing with excitement. I'm here with these fabulous ladies, ready to take on whatever challenges come our way. Growing up in Big Sky Country, I always dreamed of being part of something bigger than myself. And now, here I am, living that dream. Sure, some people might think I'm a little over the top with my inflatable tractor and wild outfits, but that's just who I am. I'm Bessie Big Sky, and I'm not afraid to be bold, daring, and a little bit crazy. So buckle up, ladies, because this ride is going to be one for the books!”
“How we all doing this evening?” Bessie bows.
“...It’s morning.” Cleo responds.
“Oh no, this is our night.” Bessie chuckles, throwing her closet on the table as she exhales. “Woof.”
Bessie Big Sky: “I’m a proud mountain drag artist. We don’t get shown off much- but I believe we have the best drag in the world.”`
“So you’re a rural Queen, I'm guessing?” Belle smiles.
“Proudly so. I slayed a bear for the hide for my boots.” Bessie points down with a smirk.
“Did you really?” Louise gasps.
“...No.” Bessie chuckles, as everyone laughs.
Louise Vuitton: “Oh, I didn’t get that.”
Finally, Oda Nobuna struts into the werkroom, dressed up in full Drag Daimyo fantasy, looking like a fierce samurai goddess about to march into battle. As she walks into the werkroom she says "If the cuckoo won't sing..." She drops to the floor in a split as she takes a sword out and slashes it. "Kill it."
“Werk.” Marias claps.
Oda Nobuna: “Hello, world.” Nobuna bows, smiling. “My name is Oda Nobuna, and I am proud to be here. For those who do not know my namesake, I am inspired by the famous warlord from my country who represents both the progressive and audacious traits that I admire. I am a proud performer, visual artist and actor- and I am here to slay these others in an effort to take on this competition. At any cost.” She smiles.
“This?” Bessie grins. “I love a warrior.”
“I’m a lover, not a fighter.” Belle smiles.
You’ve got drag mail!
“Wait, what the fuck?” Belle says.
“This- this isn’t right…” Louise looks concerned.
Bring your sunscreen. Bring your towel. Let’s get wet.
“There’s only 6 of us…” Cleo responds.
La Marias: “Thanks, Captain Obvious.”
It’s Drag Time, BITCHES!
Chronologica smiles as the racers still look confused at her.
Hi racers. I’m so happy to be here, with you. You 6 will be competing for the title of America’s next drag superstar. The winner of this Season will win a fierce crown and sceptre from Moxie Maniac Jewels, the title of next Drag Superstar and $50,000!
This season, I’ve decided to split our cast up with a double premiere in order to really get to know each of you all.
“Fabulous.” Nobuna grins.
We are getting STRAIGHT into the action. For our first maxi challenge… it’s time for a BALL!
Everyone gasps.
Racers, you will be serving us three fabulous looks in The Summer Ball! First, Beach Babe. Then, Summer Night Elegance. Finally…
The pit crew run out with thousands of pool toys.
Making your own looks, Pool Toy Eleganza Extravaganza!
Louise Vuitton: “Fashion is a passion. I’m ready to look fabulous.”
This is a challenge to show up and stand out. There is even MORE of a spotlight on you, with a smaller cast. And someone WILL go home. So… good luck… and don’t FUCK IT UP!
~
The racers start chatting as they prepare for the maxi challenge.
La Marias: “For our maxi challenge, we are doing a ball. I love balls.”

La Marias: “Oh…. meh.”
“How are all you pretty pals going with this challenge?” Belle grins.
“Looks are important.” Louise says. “For me, that’s a highlight of drag.”
“I feel the same.” Nobuna grins. “Tell me, what is your inspiration?”
“Glamour.” Louise responds. “I always wanted to be the most beautiful girl.”
“Sorry you aren’t that.” Cleo laughs. “Cause I’m here!”
Nobody laughs.
“Joking!” Cleo chuckles.
“Not a funny joke, but werk.” Marias whispers.
“I just- for me, to show my beautiful capability- drag is my best form, I do fashion, I deliver looks… I’m classic.” Louise nods. “And I like to wear gowns- big grand drag, me and my sister often put together.”
“Sister?” Nobuna asks.
“Twin.” Louise responds.
“Oh, lovely.” Nobuna nods.
Oda Nobuna: “Louise is clearly a threat in a fashion challenge. But her drag is classic. I believe myself to elevate it.”
“I think honing in on those classic instincts is a smart idea.” Nobuna grins.
Louise nods.
Oda Nobuna: “A standout piece can outdo the basic.”
“For me, looks are fun- but mine are darn dedicated to a specific brand.” Bessie grins. “I’m a Westerner. I show that in my drag.”
“Us rural ladies can really stand out on our own.” Belle smiles.
“I’m damn excited for my take on summer.” Bessie nods.
The others look over at Cleo and Marias, with Marias being quite silent.
“What about you, Marias?” Belle asks.
“Drag is drag.” Marias responds. “I don’t really make my own…”
La Marias: “Truly, I tend to buy at the mall.”
“Making your own drag is an important skill I believe.” Bessie turns to Belle, who nods.
“Yeah, even if I don’t always think mine looks great- it’s mine…” Belle says.
“It’s fine, i’ll make it work.” Maria shrugs, before looking down.
La Marias: “I am not like these other divas. I’m not here with the big, dramatic drag. But I turn and see Cleo and...”
“I’m just draping this around my body. Not even sewing.” Cleo laughs.
La Marias: “She’s not even trying. And you know what I have to say to that?”
“I mean, I know I’ll look good in it.” Cleo chuckles.
La Marias: “Stop relying on that body…”
~
The racers continue working on their tasks as Chronologica enters the werkroom.
Hello, Southern Belle!
“Belle if you’re nasty, and I’m filthy.” Belle winks.
Well, well, well Belle… how do you feel about our ball?
“I feel… good.” Belle nods.
Good?
“I like a sexy look. I think of myself as pretty damn pretty…”
These looks are solid. Have you brought them? Or-
“I make all my drag.” Belle says.
You should’ve lead with that!
“Well-” Belle looks shyly.
Clearly- you have the talent. So please, show up, with this level of quality- and I expect to see it confident and ready.
“Yes, Missy.” Belle grins.
How do you think your competitors are fairing?
“The girls all look lovely. Some a little more refined then others…” Belle grins.
I see.
Belle giggles.

Hi, Marias.
“Chronologica.” Marias responds.
What is your drag?
“It’s just-” Marias smiles, her face lighting up. “A fabulous time with a gorgeous girl.”
Chronologica chuckles.
I like that. How are you going to present that in this ball?
“For me, it’s just- showing up, and giving that fun flair.” Marias smiles. “To be the Queen at the centre… these are what I want to deliver with these looks.”
Chronologica looks down.
I see some simple concepts. So I want you to glitter, Marias… because these girls are here to bite.
“I have bite, too.” Marias responds.
How do you think your competitors are fairing?
“...I think Cleo is just pretty.” Marias says. “I think Nobuna brings something different, I wonder how it’ll translate. To me, Bessie and Belle seem similar… Louise is… classic, drag.” Marias says, with a hint of shade.
You’re an observer.
“I have thoughts.” Marias smiles.

Bessie Big Sky!
“Ms Chronologica.” Bessie bows.
Chronologica grins.
We are doing the summer ball. What’s summer for you?
“Big open skies, smile on my face. My lovers by my side, the fresh air, smiles and love. The salt of the earth on my feet and … joy.” Bessie grins.
That’s beautiful. How do you think your competitors are faring?
“Oh…” Bessie grins. “I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feeling.”
All I’m asking is for you to talk how others are faring.
“They’re all lovely.” Bessie nods.
Totally. Who do you think will bottom?
“I- genuinely have no idea.” Bessie says.
Well I look forward to seeing you push this drag, showing yourself. And don’t forget to show us how you stand out.
“I will.” Bessie grins.
~
The racers chat as they get ready for the main stage.
“It is like, mighty damn crazy thinking there’s a whole other half of us yet to enter…” Bessie says.
“Right?” Louise nods. “I wonder…” Louise purses her lips.
“I’m just excited to get to know you all sexy little things.” Belle grins. “Tell me. Why did ya’ll apply?”
“For me- it was clear. I think I’ve proven my drag is amazing, at the level I expect a superstar to be and I love it. So, the world deserves me.” Louise purses her lips.
La Marias: “Oooh… Cocky.” Marias says.
“I love TV; I think I am fierce, and yeah- the same, really- look, I’m an Indigenous Australian woman in a world we don’t get to shine often. So I’m going to make my presence known.” Cleo responds.
“I like that.” Bessie says.
La Marias: “Similar to Louise. Cocky. But the TV mention makes me think. I’m not here because this is a show. I’m here because this is a competition I can compete in.”
“For me, my drag is to show the world I can do it.” Marias responds, before the others continue to speak.
“Bozeman has power. I love where I live. I feel like- people think of the big city, those Queer meccas- but not all of us live there. Not all of us… want to. I love where I am.” Bessie says. “And I want to show it.”
La Marias: “Sweet. Perhaps too dedicated to that specific genre of drag…”
“I wanted to move to those big cities.” Belle responds. “But I couldn’t afford it. I still can’t- which is why I make my own drag. Moved to Nashville, as that was in my budget.” Belle laughs. “I can’t afford much.”
La Marias: “She’s self conscious.”
“I only moved to NYC because like…” Louise shrugs. “Inheritance.”
“Well, lucky you.” Cleo chuckles.
Louise looks annoyed, as she continues to paint.
“My partner is a drag artist.” Oda Nobuna says. “She is everything. Talented, powerful- gorgeous and dazzling. She MAKES it.” Nobuna grins. “For me.”
The others grin.
“She auditioned for season 1. Didn’t get in. We both did in season 2. She took it hard when she didn’t get in. And then… just before season 3 auditioned, she was in an accident.”
Everyone looks over at Nobuna, who looks sadly for a moment.
“I’m so sorry…” Belle puts her hand on Nobuna’s shoulder.
“I chose to audition this time for her. I love drag. And I know she’d be here if she didn’t. I’m doing this for her… but also, for me too. Because I know I can. She knew I could.” Nobuna grins, as the others all look at her with pride.
La Marias: “Nobuna… that one is powerful.”
“...What’s happened to her now, if I can ask?” Louise says.
“She’s still in a coma.” Nobuna nods, looking down sadly.
The others frown.
“But… perhaps she can watch this- this first episode, and be proud of her love.” Nobuna nods.
“That’s sweet.” Bessie grins.
Oda Nobuna: “All I said was truth. But these girls may see may as the wounded little bird. And by design, I’m happy with that. Because that gives me the opportunity to strike. I KNOW I can win this challenge.”
Nobuna smirks.
Oda Nobuna: “And the battle begins.”

2023.04.01 22:11 Ocean-Wave-007 At A Loss

I'm not sure what to do or if I'm looking for advice or not. My parents are not the worst. I have read many stories that are far worse that what I've dealt with. I won't get into detail but my mom is a narcissist, I was definitely parentified as a child and my dad was an enabler who worked all the time and backed my mom up on everything even when he wasn't there to witness the arguments. I definitely didn't get what I needed emotionally from either of them. I was my mom's therapist from a young age and my dad was barely around because he would work such long hours including weekends, so a lot of the time it was just my mom and I. I barely had any friends and I though that was normal.
I have been living on my own now with my husband, being away from them for the last 3 years after moving out, and covid was a blessing in disquise because it forced me to be away from them, and this time away has been when I realized how toxic they were and how much I am suffering from having been raised by them. They don't think anything is wrong. I've been distant for the last couple months but I know an explosion is coming due to my lack of communication. The thing is, I don't feel like I care anymore whether they're in my life or not. I don't miss them anymore, and have no desire to communicate. I dont feel like they bring anything beneficial to my life anymore. The last time I saw them beginning of January, we only stayed one night with them and it was awkward and uncomfortable for both my husband and I. The issue is we never had any kind of confrontation where I shut them out. It has been gradual but they won't let it go on much longer, I can feel the blow up coming. I'd like them to just make it easy for me to cut them out. I feel guilty just letting the relationship fizzle out, especially when they don't realize that anything is wrong or that I've had this revelation about them and my childhood. I come from a HUGE family and I know that I'll have them all coming for me if I just let it fizzle or even with a confrontation. I don't think I can handle the backlash. My husband and his family are amazing. They respect boundaries and I know I have their support should I lose my family.
I'm just at a loss. Where do I go from here? Do I talk to them and tell them how I'm feeling? I know my mother will just turn it around on me and my dad will just support her, but he will be hurt, and my mom will make me out to be some villain to everyone in our family. I'd lose them all. Or do I just let it fizzle out, no explanation, ignore them and then let the explosion happen and block family as they come at me about it? I've been trying to find a therapist, but it's impossible to find anyone who is taking new patients in person anymore. At least someone who specializes in family relationships and such who can lead me through this. I'd like to have a conversation with my brother but I don't even know what I would say to him. He is 3 years older than me and the GC but he really doesn't like the attention that comes with. I think he would understand in a way. I don't know. Has anyone else been stuck I'm this limbo before? Sorry this is so long with minimal info about my childhood. I just really can't find the words yet.

2023.04.01 22:10 Winged-White-Wolf My wet dream is to see the original version of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is by far the most disappointing anime that I ever watched. It's also the reason why I got out of anime in general (the only one I still watch with pleasure is Wolf's Rain). It was very good only in the first two seasons. I swear, I've binge watched season 1 in a week. After the Dark Signers arc it went downhill.
Since season 3 there are no more mature themes, it's just filler and what is the plot anymore? A divorced old man? Three dumb androids that do nothing than just sit all day watching the protagonists? Then, there's the WRGP, with do gooders and characters who only appear a handful of times and then are forgotten.
Many of you know that the third season was originally going to be about Arcadia Movement, Yliaster's rival. It's obvious that Aki was going to be the main focus along with Divine (fuck Z-ONE! Divine forever!). Then, Yliaster was going to stay a cult like season 1 shown. If Bruno/Antinomy existed, he would have been connected with Yliaster in no way (since Antinomy is a Greek word, I suspect he was part if the Arcadia Movement).
I would have surely enjoyed it a lot, but, since reality can be very cruel, this anime started to taint me and I dropped it just before Team Unicorn.
Why did this change? The reasons why the original plans for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's were changed are unsure, so I won't write them here.
I'm going to repeat it: THIS is what Yu-Gi-Oh! should have been and it's also the reason why I got awy from almost all anime. I'm utterly disgusted by how much do gooders and sugarcoating gets thrown in the watcher's face and by that mentality that thinks everything must be sweetened and that bad things must be rejected and cancelled. Yu-Gi-Oh! has been sweetened and flattened up to make it more palatable to kids. It's a comprehensible marketing choice, but how much did it cost? Yu-Gi-Oh! has been castrated and privated of everything that made it interesting and deep. This is the anime that we deserved to watch, a story about friendship and autodetermination without too many do gooders and with characters that are either gentle or cruel.
What do you think? What's your advice?

2023.04.01 22:08 cultureshox Feeling good but didn’t change anything?

The last few months I’ve increasingly felt almost hollow, things didn’t feel fulfilling, I was always worrying for over something, I’d fall into procrastinating and focusing on pats mistakes. I woke up today and just felt different, even though I haven’t changed anything, I just felt present in the moment and like the weight of the world isn’t on my shoulders. I don’t want to feel shitty obviously, but how do I keep this going when I don’t know what made me feel better in the first place?

2023.04.01 22:08 _TheAppointedHour_ Attempt

A man demands chastity in himself and others, most of all from the being he loves; a woman wants the man with most experience and sensuality, not virtue. Woman has no comprehension of paragons. On the contrary, it is well known that a woman is most ready to fly to the arms of the man with the widest reputation for being a Don Juan. Woman requires man to be sexual, because she only gains existence through his sexuality. Women have no sense of a man's love, as a superior phenomenon, they only perceive that side of him which unceasingly desires and appropriates the object of his affections, and men who have none or very little of the instinct of brutality developed in them have no influence on them. As for the higher, platonic love of man, they do not want it; it flatters and pleases them, but it has no significance for them, and if the homage on bended knees lasts too long, Beatrice becomes just as impatient as Messalina. In coitus lies woman's greatest humiliation, in love her supremest exaltation. Since woman desires coitus and not love, she proves that she wishes to be humiliated and not worshipped. The ultimate opponent of the emancipation of women is woman. It is not because sexual union is voluptuous, not because it is the typical example of all the pleasures of the lower life, that it is immoral. Asceticism, which would regard pleasure in itself as immoral, is itself immoral, inasmuch as it attributes immorality to an action because of the external consequences of it, not because of immorality in the thing itself; it is the imposition of an alien, not an inherent law. A man may seek pleasure, he may strive to make his life easier and more pleasant; but he must not sacrifice a moral law. Asceticism attempts to make man moral by self-repression and will give him credit and praise for morality simply because he has denied himself certain things. Asceticism must be rejected from the point of view of ethics and of psychology inasmuch as it makes virtue the effect of a cause, and not the thing itself. Asceticism is a dangerous although attractive guide ; since pleasure is one of the chief things that beguile men from the higher path, it is easy to suppose that its mere abandonment is meritorious. In itself, however, pleasure is neither moral nor immoral. It is only when the desire for pleasure conquers the desire for worthiness that a human being has fallen. Coitus is immoral because there is no man who does not use woman at such times as a means to an end; for whom pleasure does not, in his own as well as her being, during that time represent the value of mankind. During coitus a man forgets all about everything, he forgets the woman; she has no longer a psychic but only a physical existence for him. He either desires a child by her or the satisfaction of his own passion; in neither case does he use her as an end in herself, but for an outside cause. This and this alone makes coitus immoral. There is no doubt that woman is the missionary of sexual union, and that she looks upon herself, as on everything else, merely as a means to its ends. She wants a man to satisfy her passion or to obtain children; she is willing to be used by man as a tool, as a thing, as an object, to be treated as his property, to be changed and modelled according to his good pleasure. But we should not allow ourselves to be used by others as means to an end.
Kundry appealed often to Parsifal's compassion for her yearnings: but here we see the weakness of sympathetic morality, which attempts to grant every desire of those around, however wrong such wishes may be. Ethics and morality based on sympathy are equally absurd, since they make the "ought" dependent on the "will" (whether it be the will of oneself, or of others, or of society, it is all the same,) instead of making the "will" dependent on the "ought"; they take as a standard of morality concrete cases of human history, concrete cases of human happiness, concrete moments in life instead of the idea.
But the question is: how ought man to treat woman? As she herself desires to be treated or as the moral idea would dictate ? If he is going to treat her as she wishes, he must have intercourse with her, for she desires it; he must beat her, for she likes to be hurt; he must hypnotise her, since she wishes to be hypnotised; he must prove to her by his attentions how little he thinks of himself, for she likes compliments, and has no desire to be respected for herself. If he is going to treat her as the moral idea demands, he must try to see in her the concept of mankind and endeavour to respect her. Even although woman is only a function of man, a function he can degrade or raise at will, and women do not wish to be more or anything else than what man makes them, it is no more a moral arrangement than the suttee of Indian widows, which, even though it be voluntary and insisted upon by them, is none the less terrible barbarity. The emancipation of woman is analogous to the emancipation of Jews and negroes. Undoubtedly the principal reason why these people have been treated as slaves and inferiors is to be found in their servile dispositions; their desire for freedom is not nearly so strong as that of the Indo-Germans. And even although the whites in America at the present day find it necessary to keep themselves quite aloof from the negro population because they make such a bad use of their freedom, yet in the war of the Northern States against the Federals, which resulted in the freedom of the slaves, right was entirely on the side of the emancipators. Although the humanity of Jews, negroes, and still more of women, is weighed down by many immoral impulses; although in these cases there is so much more to fight against than in the case of Aryan men, still we must try to respect mankind, and to venerate the idea of humanity (by which I do not mean the human community, but the being, man, the soul as part of the spiritual world). No matter how degraded a criminal may be, no one ought to arrogate to himself the functions of the law; no man has the right to lynch such an offender. The problem of woman and the problem of the Jews are absolutely identical with the problem of slavery, and they must be solved in the same way. No one should be oppressed, even if the oppression is of such a kind as to be unfelt as such. The animals about a house are not "slaves," because they have no freedom in the proper sense of the word which could be taken away. But woman has a faint idea of her incapacity, a last remnant, however weak, of the free intelligible ego, simply because there is no such thing as an absolute woman. Women are human beings, and must be treated as such, even if they themselves do not wish it. Woman and man have the same rights. That is not to say that women ought to have an equal share in political affairs. From the utilitarian standpoint such a concession, certainly at present and probably always, would be most undesirable; in New Zealand, where, on ethical principles, women have been enfranchised, the worst results have followed. As children, imbeciles and criminals would be justly prevented from taking any part in public affairs even if they were numerically equal or in the majority; woman must in the same way be kept from having a share in anything which concerns the public welfare, as it is much to be feared that the mere effect of female influence would be harmful. Just as the results of science do not depend on whether all men accept them or not, so justice and injustice can be dealt out to the woman, although she is unable to distinguish between them, and she need not be afraid that injury will be done her, as justice and not might will be the deciding factor in her treatment. But justice is always the same whether for man or woman. No one has a right to forbid things to a woman because they are "unwomanly". Woman must be looked upon as an individual and as if she were a free individual, not as one of a species, not as a sort of creation from the various wants of man's nature; even though woman herself may never prove worthy of such a lofty view.
Thus this book may be considered as the greatest honour ever paid to women. Nothing but the most moral relation towards women should be possible for men; there should be neither sexuality nor love, for both make woman the means to an end, but only the attempt to understand her.
Most men theoretically respect women, but practically they thoroughly despise them; according to my ideas this method should be reversed. It is impossible to think highly of women, but it does not follow that we are to despise them for ever. • It seems to me that if we look the facts of the case in the face there are only two possible courses open for women: either to pretend to accept man's ideas, and to think that they believe what is really opposed to their whole, unchanged nature, to assume a horror of immorality (as if they were moral themselves), of sexuality (as if they desired platonic love); or to openly admit that they are wrapped up in husband and children, without being conscious of all that such an admission implies, of the shamelessness and self-immolation of it. Unconscious hypocrisy, or cynical identification with their natural instincts; nothing else seems possible for woman. But it is neither agreement nor disagreement with, but rather the denial and overcoming of her womanishness that a woman should aim at. If a woman really were to wish, for instance, for man's chastity, it would mean that she had conquered the woman in her, it would mean that pairing was no longer of supreme importance to her and that her aim was no longer to further it. But here is the trouble: such pretensions must not be accepted as genuine, even although here and there they are actually put forward. For a woman who longed for man's purity is, apart from her hysteria, so stupid and so incapable of truthfulness that she is unable to perceive that she is in this way negating herself, making herself absolutely worthless, without existence! It is difficult to decide which is preferable: the unlimited hypocrisy which can appropriate the thing that is most foreign to it, i.e., the ascetic ideal, or the ingenuous admiration for the reformed rake, the complacent devotion to him. The principal problem of the woman question lies in the fact that in each case woman's one desire is to put all responsibility on man, and in this it is identical with the problem of mankind. Friedrich Nietzsche says in one of his books : "To underestimate the real difficulties of the man and woman problem, to fail to admit the abysmal antagonism and the inevitable nature of the constant strain between the two, to dream of equal rights, education, responsibilities and duties, is the mark of the superficial observer, and any thinker who has been found shallow in these difficult places—shallow by nature—should be looked upon as untrustworthy, as a useless and treacherous guide; he will, no doubt, be one of those who 'briefly deal with' all the real problems of life, death and eternity—who never gets to the bottom of things. But the man who is not superficial, who has depth of thought as well as of purpose, the depth which not only makes him desire right but endows him with determination and strength to do right, must always look on woman from the oriental standpoint:—as a possession, as private property, as something born to serve and be dependent on him—he must see the marvellous reasonableness of the Asiatic instinct of superiority over women, as the Greeks of old saw it, those worthy successors and disciples of the Eastern school. It was an attitude towards woman which, as is well known, from Homer's time till that of Pericles, grew with the growth of culture, and increased in strength step by step, and gradually became quite oriental. What a necessary, logical, desirable growth for mankind! if we could only attain to it ourselves!" The great individualist is here thinking in the terms of social ethics, and the autonomy of his moral doctrine is overshadowed by the ideas of caste, groups, and divisions. And so, for the benefit of society, to preserve the place of men, he would place woman in subjection, so that the voice of the wish for emancipation could no longer be heard, and so that we might be freed from the false and foolish cry of the existing advocates of women's rights, advocates who have no suspicion of the real source of woman bondage. But I quoted Nietzsche, not to convict him of want of logic, but to lead to the point that the solution of the problem of humanity is bound up with the solution of the woman problem. If any one should think it a high-flown idea that man should respect woman as an entity, a real existence, and not use her merely as a means to an end, that he should recognise in her the same rights and the same duties (those of building up one's own moral personality) as his own, then he must reflect that man cannot solve the ethical problem in his own case, if he continues to lower the idea of humanity in the women by using her simply for his own purposes. Coitus is the price man has to pay to women, under the Asiatic system, for their oppression. And although it is true that women may be more than content with such recompence for the worst form of slavery, man has no right to take part in such conduct, simply because he also is morally damaged by it. Even technically the problem of humanity is not soluble for man alone; he has to consider woman even if he only wishes to redeem himself; he must endeavour to get her to abandon her immoral designs on him. Women must really and truly and spontaneously relinquish coitus. That undoubtedly means that woman, as woman, must disappear, and until that has come to pass there is no possibility of establishing the kingdom of God on earth. Pythagoras, Plato, Christianity (as opposed to Judaism), Tertullian, Swift, Wagner, Ibsen, all these have urged the freedom of woman, not the emancipation of woman from man, but rather the emancipation of woman from pherself. ... Now for the first time, looking at the woman question as the most important problem of mankind, the demand for the sexual abstinence on the part of both sexes is put forward with good reason. To seek to ground this claim on the prejudicial effects on the health following sexual intercourse would be absurd, for any one with knowledge of the physical frame could upset such a theory at all points; to found it on the immorality of passion would also be wrong, because that would introduce a heteronomous motive into ethics. St. Augustine, however, must certainly have been aware, when he advocated chastity for all mankind, that the objection raised to it would be that in such a case the whole human race would quickly disappear from the face of the earth. This extraordinary apprehension, the worst part of which appears to be the thought that the race would be exterminated, shows not only the greatest unbelief in individual immortality and eternal life for moral well-doers; it is not only most irreligious, but it proves at the same time the cowardice of man and his incapacity to live an individual life. To any one who thinks thus, the earth can only mean the turmoil and press of those on it; death must seem less terrible to such a man than isolation. If the immortal, moral part of his personality were really vigorous, he would have courage to look this result in the face; he would not fear the death of the body, nor attempt to substitute the miserable certainty of the continuation of the race for his lack of faith in the eternal life of the soul. The rejection of sexuality is merely the death of the physical life, to put in its place the full development of the spiritual life. Hence it follows that it cannot be a moral duty to provide for the continuance of the race. This common argument appears to me to be so extraordinarily false that I am almost ashamed to meet it. Yet at the risk of making myself ridiculous I must ask if any one ever consummated coitus to avoid the great danger of letting the human race die out, if he failed in his duty ? And would it not follow that any man who prefers chastity would be open to the charge of immoral conduct ? Every form of fecundity is loathsome, and no one who is honest with himself feels bound to provide for the continuity of the human race. And what we do not realise to be a duty, is not a duty. On the contrary, it is immoral to procreate a human being for any secondary reason, to bring a being into the limitations of humanity, the conditions made for him by his parentage; the fundamental reason why the possible freedom and spontaneity of a human being is limited is that he was begotten in such an immoral fashion. That the human race should persist is of no interest whatever to reason; he who would perpetuate humanity would perpetuate the problem and the guilt, the only problem and the only guilt. The only true goal is divinity and the union of humanity with the Godhead; that is the real choice between good and evil, between existence and negation

The moral sanction that has been invented for coitus, in supposing that there is an ideal attitude to the act in which only the propagation of the race is thought of, is no sufficient defence. There is no such imperative in the mind of man; it is merely an ingenious defence of a desire. As for the sexual union in which the production of children is prevented, there is no possible justification.

As for the sexual union in which the production of children is prevented, there is no possible justification. Sexual union has no place in the idea of mankind, not because ascetism is a duty, but because in it woman becomes the object, the cause, and man does what he will with her, looks upon her merely as a "thing," not as a living human being with an inner, psychic, existence. And so man despises woman the moment coitus is over, and the woman knows that she is despised, even although a few minutes before she thought herself adored. The only thing to be respected in man is the idea of mankind; this disparagement of woman (and himself), induced by coitus, is the surest proof that it is opposed to that idea of mankind. Any one who is ignorant of what this Kantian "idea of mankind" means, may perhaps understand it when he thinks of his sisters, his mother, his female relatives; it concerns them all: for our own sakes, then, woman ought to be treated as human, respected and not degraded, all sexuality implying degradation. But man can only respect woman when she herself ceases to wish to be object and material for man; if there is any question of emancipation it should be the emancipation from the prostitute element. It has never until now been made clear where the bondage of woman lies; it is in the sovereign, all too welcome power wielded on them by the Phallus. There can be no doubt that the men who have really desired the emancipation of women are the men who are not very sexual, who have no great craving for love, who are not very profound, but who are men of noble and spiritual minds. I am not going to try to palliate the erotic motives of man, nor to represent his antipathy to the "emancipated woman" as being in any sense less than it is; it is much easier to go with the majority, than, as Kant did, to climb, painfully and slowly, to the heights of isolation.
A woman who had really given up her sexual self, who wished to be at peace would be no longer "woman." She would have ceased to be "woman," she would have received the inward and spiritual sign as well as the outward form of regeneration. Can such a thing be? There is no absolute woman, but even so to say "Yes" to the above question is like giving one's assent to a miracle. Emancipation will not make woman happier; it will not ensure her salvation, and it is a long road which leads to God. No being in the transition stage between freedom and slavery can be happy. But will woman choose to abandon slavery in order to become unhappy ? The question is not merely if it be possible for woman to become moral. It is this: is it possible for woman really to wish to realise the problem of existence, the conception of guilt? Can she really desire freedom? This can happen only by her being penetrated by an ideal, brought to the guiding star. It can happen only if the categorical imperative were to become active in woman; only if woman can place herself in relation to the moral idea, the idea of humanity. In that way only can there be an emancipation of woman.

The Alternative Time Loop of Haruhi Suzumiya - 谷川 流 (Nagaru Tanigawa) - Dengenki / Sneaker Bunko 04/2023
Kyon had always thought that his life was ordinary, until he met Haruhi Suzumiya. She was anything but ordinary, with her quirky personality and her desire to find aliens, time travelers, and espers. It wasn't long before Kyon found himself recruited into the SOS Brigade, Haruhi's club dedicated to investigating the paranormal.
At first, Kyon was skeptical about Haruhi's claims. But as he spent more time with her, he began to realize that there was something special about her. She had a way of bringing people together and making them feel like anything was possible. And with her, anything was possible.
Over the years, Kyon and the other members of the SOS Brigade went on many adventures. They met aliens, time travelers, and espers, just like Haruhi had always wanted. They even traveled through time and space and met their future selves.
But as they grew older, the Brigade members started to drift apart. Mikuru went back to her own time period, Yuki returned to the data entity, and Koizumi transferred to a different school. Kyon was left alone with Haruhi, and he started to feel like their adventures were coming to an end.
It was then that Kyon realized that he had fully fallen in love with Haruhi. He had never felt this way before, and he didn't know how to tell her. He was afraid that it would ruin their friendship, or worse, that Haruhi wouldn't feel the same way.
One day, Haruhi came to Kyon with a new idea. She wanted to create a time loop, where they would relive the same day over and over again. (Translators Note: HERE WE GO AGAIN) Kyon was hesitant at first, but Haruhi was determined. She said that it would be the ultimate adventure, and that they could solve all sorts of mysteries by reliving the same day over and over again.
Kyon agreed to help Haruhi with her plan, but he had ulterior motives. He thought that if they spent enough time together in the time loop, he might be able to tell Haruhi how he felt.
The time loop was a success. They relived the same day over and over again, and they solved mysteries that they had never been able to solve before. They even became closer than ever before.
But as the days went on, Kyon started to notice something strange. Haruhi seemed to be getting more and more obsessed with the time loop. She started to ignore Kyon's concerns about the dangers of altering time, and she became more and more distant.
Kyon realized that he had made a mistake. He had been so focused on his own feelings that he hadn't considered the consequences of Haruhi's plan. He knew that he had to stop her before it was too late.
With the help of Yuki and Koizumi, Kyon managed to convince Haruhi to end the time loop. She was upset at first, but she eventually came to see that Kyon was right.
As they said their goodbyes, Kyon mustered up the courage to tell Haruhi how he felt. To his surprise, Haruhi felt the same way. They kissed, and it felt like the world had stopped.
But as they pulled away from each other, they both started to laugh. It was April Fool's Day

2023.04.01 22:07 KyleKKent Out of Cruel Space, Part 641

First
The Dauntless

The dinner was amazing. Main course had been skewers with each one being a different kind of meat and all of them with a hint of spices. Not enough to burn or hurt but enough to make the taste exotic. On the job or not, this has been the best birthday Jadza can remember. The dessert is simple but so elegantly displayed that she was almost reluctant to eat. The fruit arrangement was more of an art piece than food.
She catches herself leaning heavily into Modan more than once. The adorable man is as solid as hypercrete physically but his personality is more akin to a down stuffed pillow. Exactly like the very pillow she found the information about his amazing evening on.
But all good things must come to an end and she, to her regret, is informed that the dining experience is ended and that the staff invite her and her companion back at a later date.
Taking the obvious hint that it’s time to leave she rises up and is joined by Modan. She notes that part of her team is ‘waiting to be seated’ in the front area and they’re both surreptitiously followed out.
“Hmm... I’m not sure I want the night to end. It’s been so wonderful so far.”
“Well, I have all of tomorrow open. So there’s no concern about bedtimes from me.” Modan says and she smiles.
“Really? Well in that...” She’s cut off as a cold wind sweeps through the darkening city. Her dress may be beautiful, but it’s not the warmest. In moments Modan’s jacket is off and draped around her shoulders.
“Oh you don’t have to do that. I’ll be fine.” She insists while inwardly she wants to keep the jacket permenently.
“Oh don’t worry. I’ve got the full protection. I could stand naked on a glacier and the only issue would be public indecency.” Modan notes and her mind INSTANTLY places the man on a towering peak of ice and snow stark naked and twisting in the wind.
Wind in reality and freezing environment of her imagination be damned, she starts heating up. He hums ever so slightly as he rolls up his sleeves. “So, is there anyplace you’d like to go?”
Her apartment. But it’s not... actually... maybe it’s time to exercise a bit of power.
“Oh the local gardens are lovely with night blooming flowers. Would you care to see?” She asks.
“I’d be delighted.” He says and her heart flutters a bit. He switches so easily from adorable and awkward to charming and suave with no real rhyme or reason that she can’t get used to either.
The nighttime garden is as beautiful as ever... perhaps even more so with a towering monolith of a man by her side. With his sleaves rolled up and jacket off it’s clearer than ever just how well put together Modan is. The man was carved for a dream of purest beauty and the night breeze shows there is NO padding on his large frame.
She surreptitiously types out a message on her phone and gives the order for her apartment to be cleaned.
There’s a response and she has to insist to get things moving.
Now if only there wasn’t any interruptions. But it’s not like she can ask for a public place to be devoid of The Public now can she?
“So, I’ve been informed a fair amount about Yauya culture. When it comes to the honourblades it usually has to be forged after a great hunt right?”
“Right. Is there something wrong with that?” She asks.
“No, I’m just wondering if you perhaps have a story for me? I don’t see you wearing a blade but...” Modan asks even as they pass by a woman examining some of the flowers in a hooded jacket.
“Oh perfect. Your credits or your life.” The Woman states and they both turn to find that they’re all but looking down the barrel of a loudly humming Dejk Tech plasma gun. Then in an instant there’s a sudden movement from Modan and the woman yelps in shock as he rips the still powering up gun out of her hand and points it at her just in time for it to finish charging.
“An excellent idea. Your wallet. Now.” Modan states in a tone of tightly controlled fury as he completely reverses the mugging.
“You have very fast hands.” Jadza compliments him even as she returns her plasma pistol to it’s hidden state.
“Thank you. It took a while to train that technique.” He notes. “Could you please call the police? I think they’d like to speak with this woman.”
“Of course. I’ll get right on that.” She says before making a quick call and telling the dispatcher everything in proper shorthand police code. “They’ll be here in about five minutes. Tell me though, I’ve heard rumours that humans are rather loot happy when it comes to vanquished opponents. Is that going to cause a problem with turning over evidence?”
“While it would be nice to keep this weapon, I’m not going to argue or refuse to turn it over as evidence. But I will make a polite inquiry.”
“Why though? Surely you have better ones back on your ship?” She asks him.
“Ah, but I haven’t effortlessly reversed a mugging while on a lovely date with those weapons. Which makes this one special, now doesn’t it?” He asks before giving the girl a glare. “And where do you think you’re going miss...”
There’s a tap on his shoulder and he tilts his head somewhat to regard the person he did not sense approach right behind him. “Yes?”
“You are of The Undaunted are you not?” She asks.
“I am.” He replies.
“Very good. Prepare yourself. We will be doing battle shortly.” She states and he blinks.
“May I ask why?”
“I am observing. The best method to observe someone is to engage them in noble battle.” She answers.
“Who are you?” He asks even as Jadza receives an alert from her earpiece.
‘Be very careful girl! That’s an Empty Hand Master! Her name is Mei’Lan, daughter of Kye’Lan! The whole family is forces of nature as far as the eye can see.’ Her handlers call out in a panic.
“Now really isn’t the time madam. I’m in the middle of a date.” He says and Mei’Lan blinks and regards them.
“Really? I apologize for my assumptions. Will you be free for mortal combat tomorrow?” Mei’Lan asks and Modan is confused and looks towards Jadza for guidance.
“Perhaps the day after. I’ve been hoping for... well. I assume a smart woman can put things together.” Jadza answers and Mei’Lan sighs somewhat.
“Very well. I shall see you the day after tomorrow. Prepare for battle.” She states and then with barely a move rockets upwards and there’s a slight flicker of the dimmed lights far overhead to let them know that she had impacted the roof some hundred stories above them.
“Well... that’s going to be interesting.” Modan notes as he’s clearly thinking. “Hey! Don’t think I forgot about you. No squirming away!”
The mugger freezes again as her attempt to escape is aborted.
“Aren’t you worried about an Empty Hand Master demanding to fight you?”
“She wants to fight me for a test, not to kill me. It’ll hurt. Likely a lot. But it won’t kill me.” Modan states calmly
“Are you sure?” Jadza asks.
“Reasonably.” He states.
“Reasonably?” She asks.
“Life has risk inherent to it. I don’t know for certain.” He says even as the familiar flashing lights of a police cruiser start to flicker into the area. “Hmm, they’re here sooner than expected.”
Thankfully the police are understanding and Modan hands over the weapon without even a hint of fuss.
“Well... not that that’s out of the way. Shall we continue? He asks her and she blinks.
“Just like that? It doesn’t bother you? You were just in a mugging and an Empty Hand Master wants to fight you.”
“Not one of us that left our home world expected things to turn out so well. Even if miss Lan bounces me off every level of every spire on Centris it’s still a better result than some of our worst predictions. Believe me. I was very happy to lose several bets.”
“You thought things would turn out badly?” She asks him.
“I had no idea what to think. But the very idea that the galaxy operated under an entirely different set of physics meant that things were going to be very different. And they are, but also not. It’s all much closer and much more reasonable than I feared.” He admits before chuckling. “I suppose that’s another reason why I’ve been so reluctant to leave the ship before now. Not only is there always more work to do, but I’m kind of ashamed for thinking so poorly of the galaxy. I’m glad to have been proven so wrong.”
“I see, tell me though. What plans do you have for later?” She asks and he gives her a questioning look. “I mean as in the next few years, not later tonight.”
“Hmm... the next few years...” He mutters before shrugging. “To be honest I’ve just been going with the flow. The realization that agelessness is possible, that there’s so much to learn and do, that there’s so much to see and overcome. I’m a little overwhelmed. I’ll just be my best self and see where it takes me. I’ve been getting stronger in the gym, mastering more and more of my Axiom abilities and helped even pioneer a few techniques and tricks that have helped my fellow Undaunted. That has to count for something.”
“I’d like to think it does.” She asks and the spy instincts niggle just a little so she pokes. “What did you help them create?”
“Oh? The defensive brand.” He explains before unbuttoning his vest and then shirt to her shock. He shucks his outfit partially off and when she can take her eyes off the massively well defined muscles on his torso that she can now plainly see outlined by his stark white undershirt she notices a pattern on his left shoulder. “It’s proof against most thermal attacks, it prevents gas attacks and even damage from very long falls. Unfortunately there’s no real way to defend against kinetic attacks without the brand becoming a hindrance. But it’s already saved lives and some of my more enthusiastic researchers have had all kinds of fun with it.”
“I was under the impression that Axiom Brands hurt immensely, not that there’s anything fun about it.” Unless one is an extreme masochist. In which case... in which case mister sweet and innocent here might be too much for her.
“Oh applying the brand does indeed hurt immensely. There’s no doubt about that.” He says buttoning back up and hiding those incredibly well formed pectorals. “But it’s considered worth the price. Especially when it reduces the damage of a plasma sword into little more than a mild annoyance.”
“Really? That’s quite powerful. Which means it would have hurt even more.” Jadza remarks and he shrugs.
“Yes. Yes it did. However pain fades and the gains last for a lifetime if you’re willing to work on it.” He remarks before sighing and looks very disappointed in himself. “And I just quoted a jock. Oh my goodness.”
“A jock?”
“Someone more concerned with physical pursuits than intellectual ones. Characterized by being strong but simple.” He says before sighing again. “And I just quoted one. I’ve shamed my family.”
The rueful grin on his face assures her he’s not being serious. But he had sounded so morose. There is a slight alert from her communicator and she glances at it. Her apartment is clean and ready.
Good. Now she can stop stalling for time.
“Shamed them have you? I doubt that. Wisdom can come from all sorts of places.” She notes as she makes a point of pressing closer to him. “Tell me, would you be opposed to a slight change of location?
“To where?” He asks and she holds her hand out.
“My place? Right now?” She asks and he holds up a finger and quickly brings out his communicator.
“I’m sending my car home on autopilot first.” He states and she nearly scoffs. It’s... it’s both completely on brand so far yet mildly disappointing that he’d think of everything. It also implies that if he is being watched then he’s entirely unaware of it. After all, a good tail would take care of the car, as she trusts hers to do.
He then takes her by the hand and she focuses on a familiar sensation. She doesn’t teleport home often. But she’ll make an exception. She’s in a mood and wants him now. Not in twenty minutes, not even in ten. Right now.
Suddenly they’re in the middle of the living room and she wraps her arms around his neck. “Alone at last.”
Whatever he has to say is cut off as her lips meet his.

2023.04.01 22:06 xfallenangelx95 27/F Looking for really talkative, honest and kind people who are loners as well! People in the same situation as mine (interested only in daily conversations and permanent friendships) I don't really want to receive any "Hi" type of messages or messages full of abbreviations - friendship only

Still looking and hoping to meet someone I'd get along with even though It's unbelievably hard fror people like me! Only Europe Please- short note - If you're not into reading or receiving long messages, don't read any further + Please If you don't want to read everything because of my post being too long for you & instead of reading It all - ..skip some parts - find another person to talk to.Let's respect each other and our free time. All people criticizing/making fun of me & other people - will permanently be blocked.Pretty much as people questioning my post and giving me unwanted advice.I'm not here for any conflicts and I know I can't please everyone - I know I never will.. However It's me who should feel comfortable in my new potential friendship & obviously someone interested in being my friend - not the whole world which is why I don't need any advice from people who don't even want to be a part of my life.
Hello guys! 🙂 (read everything before you decide to send me a message) Please send me a message ONLY If you're in the same situation and If your expectations are the same as mine.I want to find like minded people from Europe (Why Europe? Read my post to find out) I'm looking for something permanent
(remember - you can feel lonely even If you're surrounded by others - If there's no emotional bond) I'm fed up of meeting people who never make any time for me & only text me once or twice a week to ask me "what are you up to?" Out of boredom.I don't want to meet people asking others a million of questions like "what's your favorite movie?" Just to give you one word answer and ask you another question "and music? Your favorite song?" I'm looking for something "deeper" & different🙂
What kind of friend would I like to find? Someone to talk to on a daily basis - Someone who needs It & wants It just as much as me
Do you ever feel like an option? Like a stranger to others despite knowing them for months or years & talking to them quite often? Like there's always something and someone more important than you and you just..don't fit in and no matter what you do - your effort is never appreciated?

I'm always the one texting people immediately (or at the very least trying to) no matter where I am and who I am with (family) others? Never - except for one exception.A really lovely person.

What are my expectations? I would like to meet someone in a similar situation – why? Because I honestly feel like only a person with the same expectations and a similar outlook on life would get along with me & because I feel more comfortable talking to people like me..Friendless people who need a strong bond - people without friends and without partners..Don't get me wrong…Most people deserve to be happy and It's good to have friends but people who have friends or families in real life are usually more focused on them ( which is completely understandable) & have less time for others + I simply don't want to be replaced by anyone..I kind of envy people who can call others , true friends given I don't have an emotional bond with any of my acquaintances. Whenever I hear that others have friends I simply get sad because (believe it or not) If I had to choose between 20 people to talk to (Acquaintances) and one special person - I'd choose that one special person without any hesitation .. I also want to talk to others on a daily basis mainly because..I want to see someone’s effort & be someone's first choice - not another person to have random conversations with..Why I'd rather talk to people from my continent? Well..Mainly because I would like to see someone I'd get along with - In the far future - face to face :) + I don't want to wait any longer than 6 hours to receive a message - Especially given most people are always available on social media sites & keep their phones in a pocket.Once you receive & open my message - get back to me (If you're as serious as I am & really need a true friend) waiting 6 hours to receive a message is more than enough
I'm by no means criticising people who don't want to talk to others often / People who really are super busy & People who want to find someone to have non important conversations with - I'm aware that not everyone has the same expectations which is why everything you're reading now - is here for a reason. All I'm suggesting is - I don't want anything temporary and I don't want to be the one always giving more than receiving.

Listen people - I used to ignore being..ignored by others..always being just an option to talk to during tough times or moments of boredom.I was too young to realize that I was never important enough for most people that were a part of my life

I don't know who needs to hear this but..No one is too busy to make time for you! People make excuses to avoid others because they prioritize everything and (maybe) everyone..over them. It's true that most people really are busy - but It takes only a few seconds to start a conversation (If you're into short messages) and a few minutes (1-10/15) to type a long message Don't let anyone lie to you.Truth is that most people either don't like you enough to make time for you or just simply - feel no need to talk to others often but are they too busy? No..
You don't need to send me a message just to ask me and tell me "Do you really want to talk daily? I like long messages but I can't promise to contact you often" If you really are unsure please don't send me a message.I don't need more acquaintances aka people to talk to - occasionally

I'm not trying to sound rude - I just don't want to meet new people and get emotionally attached - only to end up being left alone after weeks or months of daily conversations.I'm sick of that never ending story and always meeting people who ghost me without a single word (even if everything seems to be ok) or people who "change priorities" over time & become like strangers…I don't want to go through this ever again.

Let me tell you one thing – A true friend would never just give up on you for no reason :)

It’s always possible to find someone to have a random conversation with – someone willing to send you one message once or twice a week..but..It’s almost impossible to find people willing to make time for you.I’m not asking a busy person to make time for me by changing some plans! Absolutely not! I’m here to find someone who wants to talk daily (throughout the day or maybe even night) of one’s own will.Someone looking for the same kind of connection.

Strong friendships are based on mutual support. One of the best things you can do for a friend in need, is just to be there for them when they want to talk.I often see posts from people who always say how friendless they are because they don't feel loved or appreciated by their "friends" remember! A true friend - someone who truly likes you or someone who wants to get to know you - will always find time for you. 🙂 I'm not really interested in small talk/short messages - I love long and meaningful conversations. It's so easy to find someone who loves abbreviations and questions like "How are you?" How was your day? Or what are you interested in? But so hard/almost impossible to find a person who knows how to keep a conversation going & show others some effort.Building and maintaining friendships takes time and effort.Never allow pursuits or possessions to become bigger priorities than your relations with other people.Close friendships are so important to us because they are so difficult to form + Having friends can help you feel as if you belong to something that brings purpose and connection to your life.

• I do NOT respond to any „Hey,hmu” or „u want to talk” type of messages (super short messages or messages full of abbreviations – I literally can’t stand abbreviations and acronyms in text messages) ALL messages full of abbreviations will immediately be ignored.I also don't like it when people ignore everything I say in my post or messages and just focus on some question in a certain message or... when they don't ask me any questions themselves.I love conversations with people refering to every part of my message - not just some question.

• No dirty messages PLEASE.I'm not looking for anyone to flirt with and I'm not looking for a partner either. No NSWF profiles..I always check people's profiles (Even comment history) - To avoid guys, trying to get inappropriate photos from adult women or? flirt with them.I also absolutely don't respond to messages from people whose comments are very rude & obviously - Messages from people who judge other people and use vulgar words to describe them or? Make fun of them.Respect is very important

• Please only adult people 18-36 age range (I'm 27)

• I don’t respond to messages I don’t find interesting even If they're long - If after receiving and reading your message I don't feel comfortable or think "I wouldn't get along with him/her" I simply do not respond (what I’m suggesting is that I don’t always respond to someone’s first or second message because..sometimes you just know If you’d get along with someone or not- I’d never ignore anyone after days or weeks of daily conversations though) just because I don’t want to do anything forcefully & because I don’t want to lead anyone on. I read all messages but I definitely don't respond to all of them! I want to make it clear because I don't want to be accused for not responding and not reading people's messages! - Some people don't message me back as well and even though It is a bit disappointing I'm ok with that! - as long as there's no emotional bond - I think it's ok to not respond to someone's first or second message If people think they wouldn't get along! I can't stand being ignored after days or weeks of daily conversation and seeing people changing priorities but that's something different - something I don't want to go through ever again for real If I'm really interested in someone's message - I respond within a matter of minutes - max 6 hours (If I'm in bed - just sleeping) you won't even hear from me "I'm too busy" because I know myself and If I really was too busy to make time for others - I wouldn't be here.I either want to talk to someone..or not.I don't want to pretend someone I'm not and always try to find some cheap excuses to avoid others. (unlike some people)

• Don’t ask me “Can you tell me something about yourself?” If you really want to get to know me - you can ask me questions :) I'm an open book.

• It would be better If you guys were into emojis - just like me - just to describe your emotions through text. Two emojis - 🙂 and 🙁 are completely enough I just don't like emotionless messages.I also don't like it when people say "yeah" or yea"as it sounds dismissively.

• I want to talk on reddit first (just to make sure If I'd get along with you ) before moving to Discord or some other app

• Time response matters to me a lot! It matters to me whether I get a message back after one hour, three hours,6 hours or..12 hours and even..after a couple of days..And If you're another person just looking for one day conversation and then? "Disappear" for some amount of time longer than one day to come back and apologize me for being busy - don't even leave me a message.I just want to be honest with you from the start.I'm interested only in daily conversations
Why can’t you see any of my interests listed down below? Because what really matters to me is..who you are (If you’re honest, talkative, understanding, caring and trustworthy – for example) just simply – It matters to me what you’re like! not what you like.Don’t get me wrong – you can tell me what your hobbies are but in my personal opinion, common interests are important mainly when you want to find a gaming buddy (for example) or If you want to meet someone to hang out with in real life and..go bowling for example. What most people seem to care about are other people's interests – I don’t. I get along with other people despite having completely different hobbies but I absolutely don’t get along with people way different than me (different expectations and outlook on life– way different sense of humor or personality traits – It’s just an example) It doesn't make ANY DIFFERENCE to me If you're a gamer or? Someone interested in photography! It doesn't make any difference - > as long as you're talkative and kind and If you also want to find someone willing to stay in your life..for good - But If you're into small talk and all you want is to...type and receive super short messages or If you're here only because you're bored and don't know what to do + If you're a very sarcastic person - I'm definitely not for you!I don't get along with overly sarcastic people turning everything into a joke

Friendships should be natural – not forced. Both people wanting to be friends should feel comfortable and have something in common. No - not necessarily a similar taste in music or movies but something else..Most friendships don't fizzle out because of people not having the same hobbies but..because they just simply have different expectations when It comes to something important.

I'm not here out of boredom and trust me - I'm not here to meet as many people as possible.I choose quality over quantity.I higly value myself and my time & Sometimes one person but a person who makes you feel comfortable and understood - is more than enough :)

We ALL can choose what kind of people we’d like to talk to and maybe even become really good friends with and I? I don’t want anyone to be disappointed. We all have some expectations after all.I know that people don't have to talk everyday to be friends but I'm interested only in daily conversations with someone also interested in talking daily

If you really need someone to talk to due to loneliness and If you have time to talk to me daily (throughout the day and maybe even night)I always make time for others.I'm literally always available.I could even stay up all night long only to talk to someone. I’m ready to commit but only If there’s some chemistry between me and someone else.I don’t do anything forcefully.

If you want to talk to me tell me your story - tell me why you're here, what kind of friend would you like to meet :) Et cetera.Such messages are way more interesting to me than...someone's long list of hobbies.I know! It's unusual on reddit but I don't make friends based on hobbies..I want to meet someone with the same mindset as mine to finally feel understood and get close to someone new.

You can share your problems with me - I absolutely don't mind "complaining" as I've been through a lot in my life. What do people usually tell you when you tell them that's something's wrong? "Don't complain" or "Life's not over yet - one day you'll be happy" or "There are worse situations than yours" and..obviously "Find a therapist" Life's not a fairytale and sometimes things don't go as planned.Emotions shouldn't be bottled up.I'm sick of people always telling others "everything's gonna be ok" move on " & more..Trust me people - not everyone wants to hear "Just believe in yourself and everything's gonna be ok" Some people take it as reassurance. But others see it as false hope. Imagine being told that things will be okay, only for them to get worse..Do you guys know why telling someone "everything's gonna be ok" Is wrong? Because you can't see the future. You can't guarantee others that one day they'll finally be happy + when It comes to social interactions - We're only responsible for ourselves - not for others & as you guys know people let us down quite often (sometimes even when there's no reason) so instead of telling people how they should move on,forget everything and be happy or asking them to find a therapist - be there for them! Always be willing to listen to them If you really like them or want to get to know them & don't suggest everyone in a tough situation to find a therapist because a therapist won't ever replace a true friend + It's quite normal to be disappointed If people always do something to hurt you.Sharing your hardships with other people in a very similar situation or exactly the same one - is VERY helpful If the other person understands you & wants to start all over by just letting it all out & feeling emotional support instead of always hearing some "positive quotes" or someone saying "Stop complaining let's talk about something else"

Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on. I appreciate sensitive people who always try to understand others.Empathy is everything
Our world needs more peace 🤗 I've seen a lot of rude comments on reddit. If you don't agree with me - OK but please don't criticize me + Not everyone is here for some advice.

Listen people - I know how different my post is & I know It won't be easy for me to find what or rather who - I'm looking for BUT I always want to be myself instead of pretending someone I'm not and lying to others.I know It would be easier if (like others) I had less expectations but I I know what I want and honestly? If my post was different..I wouldn't be me.Even If I won't meet a person I'd get along with - that's ok! but don't give me any unwanted advice because I wouldn't change for someone who doesn't even know me pretty much as I wouldn't want to change anyone else.I'm not trying to "fit in" and be like everyone else - just to get more attention.Accept me for who I am or let go - is my motto.I'm not here to argue with anyone and to make fun of others.

Please - If you're a completely different person than the described type of person I'm looking for (If you love abrreviations,If you don't need an emotional connection,If you're sarcastic and quiet) or If you simply disagree with my post - don't force yourself to send me a message.I want my new potential friendship,to be natural which is why I want you to contact me If your needs are the same - I don't want you to try to change yourself only to please me - Pretending to be someone you're not - is the worst.
I know It's possible to find what I'm looking for as I had conversations with people looking for exactly the same thing and being nice to me - I want to believe in my luck again as I had it a few times on reddit - I've recently lost someone I thought could be a friend of mine (such a perfect match) and I'm sad but I want to finally be happy again & find someone always wanting to talk - sending me random pictures throughout the day - food pictures or pictures of some animals and what is the most important to me? To find people who value online friendships as much as they would value real life ones as there's another human being on the other side

No comments please.Only Private messages and chat requests.I don't really like public conversations and I also do not respond to comments so If you want to send me a message just do it without saying "You can DM me" + I'm online almost all the time and yes - I am very selective but If I had to choose between having another (new) acquaintance and being in the same situation as I currently am - I'd always choose second option.I don't need more people to talk to every now and then and any chit chat so please be sure you want the same kind of friendship as me before sending me a message.

What You Get

Phase 0) Digital Economics 101

The Digital Economics 101 module will open 1 week prior to the cohort start date. This is an onboarding module that will get you up to speed so we can get straight into the material. This will be required to finish before the start date.
  • Gain a deep understanding of all of the pieces in the digital economy.
  • Learn about the future of media and code — the front-end and backend of the internet — so you can focus your efforts.
  • Understand digital leverage, distribution, no-code tools, and digital assets so you can take part in the mental & financial wealth transfer.

Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche

Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with what will sell. You already have the answer. You just don’t have the clarity.
  • Develop a long-term strategy to create your own niche — meaning you don’t have to worry about your “competition” playing status games.
  • Discover your life’s work, curiosities, and obsessions. I see too many people that are uncertain about this for years.
  • Cultivate and turn your vision, goals, and values into a brand that attracts an audience you love interacting with (and that will buy from you, and only you).

Phase 2) Content Strategy

There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. That they are congruent with and trust. It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable. That’s what separates you from the sea of people posting surface-level copy-cat style posts.Example and putting my money where my mouth is:
  • Become an expert-level speaker or writer on the topics you care about.
  • Never run out of content ideas for your posts or promotions (without using content templates — that’s how you stay a commodity).
  • Create posts, blogs, tweets, images, and videos that resonate with other’s on a deep level. People will actually ask you how you got so good at what you do.
  • Separate yourself from the ocean of B-tier creators that struggle to sell their products, services, andhave their ideas stick in the head of their audience.
  • Implement our Epistemic Research Method — which is just a fancy way of saying scientific research method… but it’s for researching your mind to craft brilliant content and product ideas.

Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer

Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge (that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them). That is what people pay for.Considering 95% of the market are beginners… if you are good at something, you can help them get to your level (no matter how “basic” you think the information is).Do you not watch basic content all day anyway? People don’t want new information, they want to be reminded of what works.
  • Use our Minimum Viable Offer strategy to start monetizing immediately (and have something to improve over time, rather than procrastinating until it’s perfect).
  • Have a strategy for reducing the time you spend working over time (as you build leverage and improve your offer).
  • Know how to create your own customers from the audience you are building, instead of “finding” the right customer for your offer.
  • Take the guesswork out of building coaching, consulting, or digital product offers.

Phase 4) Marketing Strategy

You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple promotions. You will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way).
  • Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
  • Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
  • Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.

Bonus) The Creator Command Center

The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales.

Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch

In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan. And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days. That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work.

2023.04.01 22:05 chameleonpurplesocks Seeking support for distress

Hi all, Just looking for some advice on how to navigate having vaginismus. I (22F) recently sought medical advice from my GP regarding vaginismus. I have some classic symptoms, including pain and lack of pleasure in the bedroom. I never thought anything of the lack of sensation and pain since I have always experienced this since I started having physical relationships.
However, my partner (20M) is a healthcare professional and identified these symptoms as abnormal. This helped me to understand that what I was experiencing was not as typical as I might have thought. I explained what I’d been experiencing to my GP and they agreed that it sounded like vaginismus. I had read up about it before but had sort of decided to just live with it up until this point. The main treatment option that my GP suggested was psychosexual counselling, but I am aware of dilators and pelvic floor PT as well. My GP referred me to a more specialist clinic quite quickly, although my health board can’t give me an exact waiting time for an appointment and we have had some negative experiences with admin staff when trying to enquire. They have been insensitive and dismissive which has been hard.
We have also looked into private counselling but it is very expensive so we would not want to go down this route unless the NHS appointment was going to be very delayed. We know that dilators are also available online and books about pelvic floor exercises may also be available. Given the nature of the condition, I am reluctant to start counselling with one practitioner and then need to open up to someone else as a result of another counsellor becoming available. Having never had any sort of counselling before, I find the idea daunting even though I am open to it. Furthermore, it can be difficult to believe that any of the treatment options will work.
My partner has been very patient and supportive, especially due his clinical knowledge. He is very solutions-focused and wants to get help or fix this as quickly as possible. I am very grateful that he is willing to communicate openly about it and he does his own research too. Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed when we start to discuss treatments or if we talk about it out of the blue. I find myself feeling taken aback by the thought that we have a long path ahead of us. Is this normal?
Something else that I have experienced recently is a lack of libido, even before going to see a GP about vaginismus. I am not on any birth control or daily medications which are likely to affect it. I don’t find myself having sexual urges at all. My sex drive has decreased. I have had a high sex drive before and I am attracted to my partner. So I don’t know what has caused this. I feel tired and don’t ever feel in the mood. Is this something anyone else has experienced? If so, how did you improve the situation?
My lack of interest in sex and vaginismus has put a big strain on our relationship. It makes my partner feel unwanted and it obviously impacts his confidence. I have tried to make him feel wanted in other ways and remind him how much I appreciate him, but nothing can replace the need for real sex. Even if we try to be physical in other ways, it still frustrates him that we are unable to have proper sex. He wants to try various positions etc but we cannot do that due to my position and the pain I experience. He has a very high sex drive, which is what you would expect for someone our age. This makes my lack of libido harder for both of us. He asks questions like “Why us?” And “Why can’t we be like other couples?”. He also expresses that he sometimes feels jealous of other couples who do not have this issue. Lately, he has also been more critical of me in other areas. He says this is because he feels so frustrated by the lack of sex that he ends up taking those negative emotions out on me verbally. I know another issue he struggles with is the idea that I may have had sexual experiences with others before him. He feels hurt by the idea that those other partners may have gotten to have more varied experiences with me, whilst he is getting less due to my current low libido and vaginismus journey. I have tried explain that I have always experienced some kind of pain, but it doesn’t always make him feel better.
Our relationship is wonderful in so many areas. He is a very caring and supportive partner who has been understanding about this. I wish I could improve this issue quicker for him.
I feel helpless sometimes because I cannot erase my past experience or explain why sometimes things hurt more or less. I can’t fix the vaginismus straight away. I try to stay away from the toxic thought that I’m broken, although sometimes it surfaces. We feel as though there is a long road ahead and struggle at times to stay motivated as a couple. I am open to any help you may be able to offer regarding ways to handle the distress caused by vaginismus.
