2023.06.03 11:45 theUnknownMessiah Having some trouble getting rid of resentment and anger towards my ex

So me and my ex ended things last week, but decided to still remain friends as we still wanted to be in each other's lives. Things ended on a good note, we talked about everything had a nice clean breakup and we have no hard feelings towards one another. We had planned to meet this morning at. 10am, to catch up and talk about stuff since we hadn't met in a few weeks due to some family stuff going on in her life...
So this morning, she texts me and asks if we can postpone our meeting to afternoon instead, as she has to run errands for her mom. I asked her what time she wants to meet instead, and she turns it back to me, saying she was expecting me to tell her the time. Didn't make sense to me as she was the one who said she was busy, so doesn't social convention dictate that the person suggesting a postpone, also suggest the new timing? Anyways, so I ask her to suggest a time for when she's done with her errands. In the end, we rescheduled to 1pm at some mall near her house. Around an hour before the meeting, just as im about to leave the house, she texts me and says that she's seen the weather forecast of the area and it looks like there's gonna be lightning and rain, and asks to cancel the meeting. Note: She has cancelled two meetings prior to this. So I was preparing myself over the past week, for this meeting to be cancelled too.
The old me would've called her out on this, confronted her, asked her why she keeps cancelling meetings and that if she didn't want to meet, all she had to do was tell me, instead of stringing me along and constantly cancelling the meeting. Would've gotten into some sort of argument. But this time, I decided to handle it in a very stoic manner, and simply replied "ok", and left it there. I told myself, I can't control what she says or does, but I can control how I respond to the situation. I chose to let it go.
It has been a few hours since this happened but im still feeling a lot of resentment and anger towards her for handling the way she did. How do I stop feeling this anger and annoyance towards her and truly let it go? I am having a hard time letting it go.

Don’t know if ‘space weather’ is more predictable than Earths weather, but chances are, the space weathermen will also get the forecast wrong.

2023.06.03 10:44 kelsolarr An app that estimates how long your laundry will take to dry outside based on local weather conditions

Hi all, I'd love to get some feedback on this app.
It uses current and forecast weather conditions (including solar radiation, wind, temperature and humidity) to create estimated drying times for laundry.
There are 3 different drying time estimates to account for various fabric types (from light fabrics such as bedsheets to heavy fabrics such as thick towels). The aim is that the drying time for the majority of fabrics should fall close to the middle "typical fabrics" estimate.
There is a subscription option that extends the number of days on the forecast tab, but everything else is included in the ad-supported version.

2023.06.03 04:27 thegarmeyo69420 The Wellington avalanche

The Wellington avalanche, also known as the Stevens Pass avalanche or the Cascade Tunnel disaster, was a tragic event that occurred on March 1, 1910, in the Cascade Mountains of Washington state, United States.
The Great Northern Railway was constructing a tunnel through the mountains near Stevens Pass, and on that fateful day, a severe blizzard hit the area. Trains carrying passengers and freight were caught in the storm, leading to a series of unfortunate events.
The blizzard caused heavy snowfall, and the buildup of snow on the mountainside eventually triggered a massive avalanche. The avalanche swept down onto the tracks, burying two trains, a passenger train called the "Seattle Express" and a mail train, along with their crews and passengers.
The force of the avalanche was devastating, destroying the trains and trapping the people inside. Many passengers and crew members were killed instantly, while others were injured or trapped beneath the snow and wreckage. The exact number of casualties is uncertain, but it is believed that at least 96 people lost their lives.
Rescue efforts were launched immediately, but the harsh weather conditions and the remote location made it extremely challenging. It took days to recover the bodies of the victims and clear the wreckage. The disaster remains one of the deadliest avalanches in U.S. history.
The Wellington avalanche had a significant impact on railroad safety regulations and led to improvements in avalanche forecasting and mitigation measures in the region. The tragedy served as a wake-up call for the dangers posed by avalanches and the need for better safety protocols in mountainous areas.
Today, the site of the Wellington avalanche is commemorated by a historical marker near Stevens Pass in Washington state, reminding visitors of the tragic event that unfolded there over a century ago.

2023.06.03 03:46 nrose21 Update - Prime - A HEAVILY Modified Version of S-GPT

v1.1 - Removed the "Roles" in favor of adding adjustable temperature and top_p values and other minor fixes.

This is a modified version of Federico Viticci’s S-GPT shortcut. It has all the capabilities of S-GPT and more. Reply “stop” to end the shortcut.
Prime is a shortcut to have conversations with OpenAI's ChatGPT assistant on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The shortcut supports both text conversations as well as voice interactions when used inside Siri. You can also start a conversation through the Share Sheet, where Siri Prime will do its best to summarize the input and then allow you to talk about it. The shortcut requires a helper shortcut called Prime Encoder that needs to be downloaded separately. Persona Mode requires an ElevenLabs API key and a Voice ID to be entered in Prime Encoder. Privacy permission pop ups will appear during the first run of the shortcut, first run of some of the “Modes”, and for various “Actions”, like saving a file, when they are used for the first time. Some of these will show up multiple times, which is normal for the way the Shortcut is made. Choose “always allow” to avoid these in the future.

Setup: You will need to create a folder called “Siri Prime” in your iCloud drive. In the “Siri Prime” folder, you will need to make 4 more folders:
  1. Siri Prime Memory - Include 3 sub folders called “Chat”, “Share Sheet”, and “Persona”. This will be the save location for different memories.
  2. Siri Prime Audio Files - Include 2 sub folders called "Intros" and "Replies". This will be the save location for the audio files created in Persona Mode.
  3. Siri Prime Chat Export - Include 2 sub folders called “Latest Response” and “Full Chat”. This will be the save location for "Export Chat" trigger.
  4. Siri Prime Pictures - This will be the save location for the Picture Mode.

Siri Prime's Modes: Say or type “run (trigger) mode” to activate. The “run” phrases can be said at any point in your response to allow for more fluid activation. Some of these modes are available through Siri, but I wanted to add them to Siri Prime to increase functionality.
Triggers:
•Export Chat - Brings up a menu with various export options, then stops the shortcut.
•Clipboard - Siri Prime will interact with your clipboard. Ex: “Summarize my clipboard” or “Draft a polite response to the message in my clipboard”.
•Live Text - Siri Prime will gather and summarize text from the selected photo.
•Schedule - Siri Prime will check the next 5 days for events and availability.
•Playlist - Siri Prime will create the requested playlist in Apple Music.
•Weather - Siri Prime will provide you with a friendly weather report for anywhere in the world.
•Forecast - Siri Prime will provide you with a friendly 10 day forecast for anywhere in the world.
•Picture - Siri Prime will take a basic idea for a picture and spruce it up for Dall-e.
•Persona (Due to a bug with Siri and the “Play Sound” action, this is best run from the shortcut)- Siri Prime will start a conversation as the chosen ElevenLabs voice. Remaining words for your account will be displayed in the user input prompt. Reply “Stop” to end Persona Mode.
•Message - Siri Prime will take a basic idea for a SMS message and spruce it up before sending it to the selected contact. Contacts are selected by first name.
•Maps - Siri Prime will search nearby for the given criteria and then get directions for your choice.
•Wallet - Siri Prime will send or request money from the selected contact.

Edit: For anyone having a "file not found" error, make sure you have created the required sub folders inside of the 4 main folders. It should look like Siri Prime>4 main folders>required sub folders for each of the main folders. Please read setup carefully.

2023.06.03 02:51 VirtualMoneyLover Is the current weather average?

We have been here for 11 days and so far the rain hasn't interrupted our daily activities. It usually came in the later part of the afternoon when we were already done or like today, in the morning, done by 8 am, so sunny for the rest of the day.
I am talking about the Uvita, Jaco area. I am not complaining, just wondering, because I was expecting more interruption, so I am curious if we just got lucky or this time of the year it mostly rains in the evenings?
By the way the weather forecast was almost always wrong by 4-5 hours.
